I haven't seen one posted for this month so let's here your reasons!
Hard to believe we are so close to the end of the year already, time is flying!
What is YOUR reason for staying on plan today?
Mine is because I am trying to develop healthier habits for life, staying on plan puts me closer and closer to having that new habit! :D

I will stay on my plan today because I DESERVE IT!
I DESERVE to be fit,lean and healthy.
More so,I will stay on my plan today to keep my SANITY and feel a sense of accomplishment :)

Nothing tastes as good as seeing that scale weight go down to the next decade, or having nothing to wear because your clothes are too baggy!

I will stay on plan today because I re-started my healthier eating/fitness goals last Sunday... and I'm not going to give up after only 1 week, lol.

My husband and I moved to a new climate so now we ache more with more humidity and cold. We've been sleeping in our bed a few hours and in a chair on couch the rest of the time. A terrible existence. Lying flat for me hurts my left leg nerves. If I loose some weight it will get better. Not perfect but better. So intimacy hasn't been up there either. Being older newly weds I miss cuddling. So I must keep on track as much as I can without being untrue to who I am. I have to start exercising more, because I do like to have a sweet here and there. So I need to recognize if I am out of anxiety or a craving...etc.

I am 60 years old and went through menopause quite awhile ago, but my uterus doesn't seem to want to listen. I have been bleeding, blood clotting and passing tissue on and off for about 2 years. For the last year and a half I have been on a medication that is a progestin given to cancer patients to increase their appetite and before my gyn left the practice in June she put me on double the dosage. This is one crummy reason I couldn't lose weight. There is a long story for this, but suffice it to say we went on a cruise Oct 13 and I had really bad urge incontinence on top of my urine being sticky and sweet smelling so I knew what was going on. I went on myself several times while on the cruise, but thank goodness I took plenty of clothing and had incontinence products with me. I made an appt with my new gp dr as soon as I hit dry land, which was last Friday.
First off because I have 2 siblings with diabetes and a mother that died from diabetic complications, I knew pretty much that would be my diagnosis and I have an A1C test twice a year because of it. In Feb this same gyn had my file but did not give the results to my dr when the results came in and she had her nurse just refile my file. Your A1C should be 6 or under and in February I was 8.5 and didn't know it. When I got back from the cruise I was 14.2 and my blood sugar Friday morning with nothing in my stomach was 376!!!!! Come to find out the progestin I was taking can cause people to develop diabetes who have never had it before, which I hadn't and didn't have a bad A1C either before February. Never once did the gyn test my blood sugar to make sure it wasn't rising and now I have a disease that seems more than a mild form.:mad::(
With that being said, this is why I stay on plan. I know how my mother treated the disease as do my siblings. They are careless about their health, but that is not going to be me.

I took my weekly rest day yesterday and ate to the edge of my calories, expecting a gain today. Down this week 3 pounds. Hoping I'm unstuck and still able to get to onderland by Christmas.

Because I consider myself very lucky to not have gained any weight in the past few weeks, despite having lost focus, and as I start a two-week vacation at home, it's the ideal time to get back in control.

Because I dealt with being surrounded by a ton of fatty foods today at work and instead of overindulging, I cut a small portion of a brownie and had one small piece of pizza, I was proud to be able to have a small amount and walk away without loading up my plate with a ton of food I would just regret and not feel good about physically later!

Ok! Time to get positive again! I have a NSV to celebrate today! Four years ago, I bought a pair of jeans two sizes too small with the intention of wearing them shortly after. Well, it never happened. A month ago I tried them on, and they were still too small. I could get them on, but I couldn't breathe or move. Flash forward to today; I am wearing those very same jeans at work today! They are a little tight but, I can wear them in public without being embarrassed!
I will stay on track today because I want to see more victories like this and I know that my weight will start moving again.
