Let's move our way into the holiday season -- walking, running, dancing, lifting, stretching -- whatever it takes!

State your goal and track it throughout the month with this supportive group of fellow exercisers. We'll compile our workout goals into a list. As each goal is met during the month, it gets turned RED in celebration. Join us for a great month of fitness!

So since I’ve a couple of planned days off exercise due to graduation events and I’ve just started a new job, I’m going to alter my goals this month. I need to learn to balance my 9-5 job and the gym. That will be what I'm going to focus on for November.

Goals for November:

Gym 16 times.
100 miles.
1000 minutes of exercise (at the gym).

I'm in again. My goal this month is 2,000 minutes of exercise. That's a bit lower than last month, because I'm starting to get busier at work and I'll soon be at 60 to 70 hours per week...which doesn't leave too much time for other things.

Goal: walk at least 20 min a day (brisk pace, to youtube vid suggested by my buddy here!) So....
Brisk Walk - 20 min a day EVERY DAY x 30 days = 600 min for November 2013

(Note To Myself: I didn't even begin to make my goal for October, but I have to keep in mind a personal Super goal level for me which is: 3x a week, double the walking for an added 60 min week x 4 week = 240 additional minutes for a "super goal" of 840 minutes for Nov!)

Suzanne, we really are a lot alike! I see you share my amazing math skills, lol! (20 x 30 is 600 minutes dear. An additional 240 is 840. :D) Hey, I got your back, although notice that I dropped stating my goal in minutes altogether after messing up simple addition on just the second day last month, lol! :hug:

So I'm going to try and up my running this month. Running seems like something that can be incorporated longterm. I've never been a runner though, I've always been involved in more sprint like sports such as soccer and crew, but we'll give it whirl. Plus I'm going to keep doing the JM 30DS. I should really get the next DVD, maybe December...

Missed first day but my goals for November will be Run/walk every Sun/Wed/Sat following C25K to do a race in December. Walk every Mon/Tue/Thur/Fr. Piloxing class on Tuesdays. Goal time each week 500 minutes of exercise.

So pleased with my exercise this am. Got up got out there completed C25k Week 5 day 1 then walked another 45 minutes Now to lift weights tonight and then do some pm yoga. Diet not so great however. Still under calories but totally eating some of my exercise calories.

Smiles because I'm off to log my exercise for the day.

I have done them a few times. Basically I don't want to walk outside in the dark twice a day and I am committed to 500 minutes a week. So that means an hour plus a day. So in the evenings Leslie gives me a good option. I am not sure if I should count it as low impact aerobics or as walking 4mph. I need to give myself a cushion because my Friday's I go in to work for 5:10 so the likely hood of me getting an hour is slim. Hopefully I will also get an afternoon walk that day.

And I heard about Leslie Sansone from Tuscany, and I'm so glad! With my rheumatoid arthritis keeping me from walking in the cold, I might not be exercising at all otherwise. I may not have big goals, but I do want to have goals, lol!

Jacqui_D, well a great big THANK YOU, to Tuscany from me then, that's awesome!! Yes, if I was left to just walk as I was, on and off (mostly off) out in the wet and Autumn weather outdoors, I just know that would be going no where in a hurry!

MrsKevin & Jacqui: Glad I could help. I love walking outside in the summer, but I agree with MrsKevin...when the cold/wet weather hits, I'd rather be inside! I'm fortunate enough to have a home gym, so I tend to use my treadmill and elliptical in bad weather, but Leslie is a nice change now and then.

I'm in the process of listing my house for sale. I've managed to get my morning workouts in the past few days, but there has been no time for my evening workouts since I've been busy with showings and agent open house preparation. Hopefully I will be able to find time tonight.

Got lazy in the morning and I know that that is key for me exercising in the morning. I did get all 3 days of C25K in this week even if it meant going out at 10:20pm tonight to do it.

I have had a non-stop splitting headache for 5 days now. I don't know if it's sinuses or allergies, but it's day and night and migraine medicine is the only thing that helps. I keep telling myself, just go ahead and exercise! Get those endorphins going! It will help! And I really do think it does, but it is just a killer to move. I tried to videowalk yesterday morning and got about five minutes in before I just couldn't stand the motion. I'm writing this down because I just took some medicine and once my headache dulls some, I want to force myself to get up and move, so here it is in writing, lol! Now if this works out like I plan, I should be returning later to edit my progress for today!

Ugh. Started getting sick on Monday. Seriously dialed down the exercise. Going to be way behind my goal. Missed my Piloxing class on Tuesday night because I was sick. Feel horrible today and unless things change in the next day I have serious doubts about getting my exercise goal in this week. Which of course hinders my 2000minutes for the month goal. Maybe I was a little unrealistic.

Ugh. Started getting sick on Monday. Seriously dialed down the exercise. Going to be way behind my goal. Missed my Piloxing class on Tuesday night because I was sick. Still sick today but did actually feel better when I was running on Wednesday. Feel horrible today and unless things change in the next day I have serious doubts about getting my exercise goal in this week. Which of course hinders my 2000minutes for the month goal. Maybe I was a little unrealistic.
Total fail this week. Only 230/500. Guess that's what getting sick does to you. Hopefully back up tomorrow.

We had a windstorm today, so when I took my normal walk, I was picking up sticks (using good squat forms) to move them out of the street and off the sidewalk. Then, DH fired up the chipper-shredder, so I picked up sticks in the yard -- which increased the intensity of both the walking and the squats!

Okay, I officially really-really-really-dislike exercise ("hate" is such a strong word), lol! I wish I had a better attitude toward it. It seems like it would make it so much easier. Of course, I am very grateful to be able to do it, especially considering I have rheumatoid arthritis, but I just don't like it. It's like being grateful for having a job but you don't really like the job. I try, but exercise for me is a chore, pure and simple. It doesn't seem so bad when I'm able to get outside and walk in nice weather, but that's as good as it gets, "not so bad," lol! That is why I am so thankful for this challenge! Without this challenge, you can bet your sweet bippy that I would not be exercising, and I need to exercise. I know I don't do much, but with my condition, mild to moderate exercise on the days I am physically able to do it is important. So there is my confession, I said it, I don't like to exercise!

Jacqui_D: have you learned enough of Leslie's moves to do them on your own? A lot of my "dance" these days is done while watching Once Upon a Time stream on Netflix. I only allow myself to watch while exercising or working on a filing chore that I put off too long -- so those two things get done because I get in the mood to see my show more than because I actually want to do them.

Gardnerjoy: I should seriously think of doing that for added exercise. I know enough of those moves to get by. As far as my goals I am still going to shoot for 2000 minutes but will be happy to get 1750 for the month.

Jackie D: So let me get this straight you hate exercise? LOL. I am glad you recognize the need to exercise with your Rheumatoid. So many people don't. Have you ever thought of mixing it up with a water aerobics class? It's easier on the joints.

Just found out that their is going to be a 2nd Piloxing class on Monday nights starting in December. My husband said he didn't care if I go for a 2nd night a week. I could also sneak in a yoga class afterwards. Hmmm, might be a solution to keep the pounds off in December.

Jackie D: Just don't go to crazy in the water. I remember taking the class one time and thinking oh this is a piece of cake and really getting a good workout in. The next day I was in pain because I forgot that I was weightless in the water and didn't realize how hard I had worked my muscles.
