100 lb. Club - Jingle Those Pounds Off Christmas Challenge

Don't let your fear of not being able to zip up your favorite Christmas dress take hold of you this holiday season! Let's get a head start and melt off a few pounds so that we may enjoy a cup of eggnog and a couple of Christmas goodies (if we choose to).

Here's how it works:

Every Friday Beginning NOVEMBER 1st, post your weekly weigh-in for that week.

Be sure to pick a realistic goal-- it doesn't have to be your big end goal, but just something that you think you can reasonably reach in 8 weeks.

I'm really looking forward to starting this challenge-- I've done these before and they have really helped. We can do it!!

I've had a fairly easy time of it for these 1st 40 lbs off so I shouldn't grumble but this week I gained .3. I saw 235 one day but then I went back up. I stayed close to plan for the most part but I think I've been slowly easing back into too many carbs. I know many say it's a simple calorie in/calories burned equation but I'm not so sure about that. I'm glad I've been using My Fitness Pal so I can go back to see what how many carbs I was doing during my best weeks. So if there's a positive here, I think this will scare me into behaving well next week.

I had to but a new scale Friday (although I wish the weight it was reflecting was true. It showed a 10lb loss. HA HA). So I'm unsure if the gain is due to a true gain or the fact my old scale was off.

Hope everyone had a nice holiday. I did okay - decided I would eat intuitively and not be too concerned with rules. Let's just say I'm not ready for prime time yet. I'll probably do the same with Christmas but for the average day, it's easier to obey my rules. I hit my weekly goal exactly - but I was actually down to 231 Sunday & Monday. I'm hoping some of this will fall off fast and I'll be in the 220's next Friday.

11/29 - As I start on my 4th Weight Watchers book, I have lost 91.2 lbs. Often when I look in the mirror, I don't really notice a change. However, I got a new pair of jeans for the P!NK concert and rocked 'em! I truly felt that every day of WW was worth it because I looked and felt AWESOME - I still weigh >200 lbs. but felt like I could keep up with all of my friends and not "stand out" in all of the pictures! So proud that I was able to have a loss after the PINK concert and Thanksgiving all in one week! I think exercise and being cognizant of my food choices were integral to the loss - I earned 14 activity points the night of the PINK concert - my average is 5 and most prior was 9! I also exercised during downtime at work on Thanksgiving a.m. - walked/jogged on treadmill. Now to make it through my son's birthday brunch. MUST EXERCISE !!
