Hi Everyone,

I started IP on Oct. 15, I have my first weigh in tomorrow and I am nervious. I have not cheated at all and followed everything BUT my daily water. I even put Mio in my water to make it tasty but can't seem to get pasted 6 glasses a day! I weighed myself at home on Saturday and I lost 5lbs! But then weighed myself again yesterday and was up 1lbs GRR! I am just going to have to wait until tomorrow and see how it went, I think my scale is off.
I know I have a long road ahead..I want to lose about 100lbs. I have been over weight since I was a teen so I can only hope this works and I can see myself as a healthy person for once. I don't even remember the last time I was under 230lbs!
My fiancee and I are trying to have a baby, been trying for over 2 years now, I know it is the weight, the DR even said lose at least 10% and I will have a better chance, so here goes nothing...

welcome! Remember the scale can fluctuate a couple of lbs either way depending on time of day, clothing etc.

Good luck on the water! it took me a few weeks to work up to the 10 glasses a day , now I'm drinking 4 24 oz bottles minimum! My only suggestion on it is make sure there's a cup or bottle with you at all times. That's the only way I do it.
I have a 24oz bottle in the morning before I leave the house for work. Then 2 more at work and the final in the evening. I bought myself a nice Thermos brand Intak bottle off Amazon and keep it full.

Good luck with your journey. My sweetie and I are trying for a baby too, we miscarried in July which was very tough but I know I'll get pregnant again.

Welcome!!! Looks like we have similar stats, other than your much taller ;) I also tried for 2 years before we found out we can't have kids. The fertility doctor frowned at my weight and told me if we did IVF it probably wouldn't take t my weight. So keep us posted on your progress there is a huge amount of information on this site and a huge support system.

You ladies got this!! This is my second time around (minus a few 1-3 day restarts) My first time I lost 26lbs in 5 weeks!!! I was so nervous for my first weigh in. Me and Hubby had a bet to see how much I lost. I thought maybe 3 lbs hubby said 5 would his max. WELL!! I lost 9.6 lbs the first week!!! Talk about motivation!! As for the water, It is hard to consume it all in. By coach told me to look at in bottles. A 500 ml bottle of water is 2 8oz servings. So you only need to drink 4 bottles of water a day. I have been managing 5-6 now. I have one with breakfast, 1 between breakfast and lunch, 1 with lunch, 1 between lunch and supper (sometimes 2 depending on what time I ate lunch and will eat supper) 1 with supper and sometimes one to bed cause I like to night time eat and drinking the water seems to help (except Im up 2-3 times a night running to the bathroom lol) You get use to all the water. And eventually you will reach for it without even thinking about it. A friend of mine got a really big bottle and wrote times on it (like a measuring cup) and makes herself drink one line every hour. She is now filling it up 2-3 times a day! Its amazing how much water your body can take in. But it helps release the toxins which aids in weight loss.

Just keep thinking about the reasons why you are doing this and what you will gain from it. It will get easier as the days go by and you see the weight start to fall off! Good luck on your WI tomorrow.

And remember it takes 4 weeks for you to see your body change, 8 for family/friends, and 12 weeks for the world! don't give up before you see the change!

Yay! That's great! You'll get used the water. I'm only 4 weeks in and I get thirsty if I don't have 80 ounces a day. Before I went the whole day on 1 or 2 glasses. Yikes!

Welcome! Here's my water tip... I bought 3 contigo water bottles at Costco. I fill about a third with water and freeze it. Then I take 3 flavours of MIO or lemon crystals , fill with water and take all 3 to work. I drink all 3 before I come home. I have my visual incentive for the day and different flavours in every bottle. And by freezing the water it stays cold all day.

Worked for me

One of my yummy tricks to get water in is iced tea. I have 32 oz cups that I fill to the top with ice, add a few inches of water to that, a splash of sugar free cinnamon syrup and a 12 oz cup of freshly brewed tazo passion herbal tea. Boy, do I feel spoiled! I can just guzzle this stuff!
