Late nite last nite in a bar a block from Busch Stadium watching the Cardinals win yet another spot in the World Series :dancer:
Spoiled baseball fan right here!

Know what I love about this diet?
I can do my own thing.
Had my red Mio (I restrict it b/c it bothers my stomach but last nite was an exception). Perused the menu in advance. Stayed on plan. Was the DD. My fun factor wasn't lessened one iota.

Not one.

It's not about the food or what I'm drinking. It is about the experience.

It is all in the attitude.

If I walked in thinking I'd be missing something, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it nearly as much. Instead, I know what I GAIN by staying OP: the self respect of self control.

If you had told me last May (2012), when I decided I'd start this journey in late July, that I'd STILL be on this diet & not yet reached goal 15 months later :tantrum: I would have told you I'd never have stayed away from alcohol this long. But you know what? Every day of self control, of mind over matter, of strengthened willpower, has made me STRONGER than I ever thought I'd be.

DH and I discussed my next phase off/on for thyroid health last nite. The debate/discussion (debate only in my head) is whether to keep my current plan of another 2013 cycle or to stay phased off until 2014 for a longer break for the thyroid. Plan is to get some medial tests to help with the determination.

Nothing is impossible.
Someone once told me "Impossible just takes longer"
Stalls can be broken. Especially if we can find out what is REALLY causing them.
Happy Saturday everyone!

I'm off to print my World Series tickets for Game 4 next Sunday in St Louis. I think this calls for a new shirt. My 2011 WS shirt is a XXL. The one I bought for Game 1 of the NLCS is a L but I didn't try it on & it's too big.
Since it's OCTOBER and it got down to 46 last nite, I'm thinking I need a new red hoodie (gave away my XXL). That and some Under Armour (and not the "spanx" type!)

I love this diet!

Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes! Real life means making choices every day...every meal! It's about mindfulness and self-awareness. It's about looking inside and asking "why am I making this particular choice?" And being honest with the answer. Because everything is a choice. Even when it seems when it's out of our control, it never ever is. I'm in control. I decide. And if I give that control away, I'm only hurting myself.

I can do anything

Lisa- That is great, what a wonderful attitude!

I was talking to my mom last night and she mentioned that celery was high in sodium. I have never thought about the sodium content in veggies. I was wondering if anyone thought about how this may effect weight loss and/or ways to circumvent this.

Good evening all. Today I have been studying all day in advance of the examination. I feel strong about it, which is nice. Am finishing up after posting and then am going to watch some TV and go to bed. Start again tomorrow.

I took my flashcards (on my phone, via an app - really cool) and went for a long walk today around SF's Golden Gate Park. It was really just a stroll, but I enjoyed it. I walked 7 miles, studying, mumbling to myself. I stopped for a hot tea and a relax in the De Young Art Museum's courtyard, surrounded by art. It was a very nice way to study.

Tonight, the boyfriend invited me to Thanksgiving at his parents in AZ. I was going to meet his family in April in St. Maarten, but now the meeting date is being moved up. I am very excited and nervous. :)

Big Question! - what IP foods do peeps take on the plane? I wasn't planning on checking baggage but need to have food on my flight next Friday (8+ hour flight). Thoughts? Thanks!

Sarita- Thinking of you and sending good vibes for your exams. You have worked so hard at so much for months now...it is almost over and you deserve a real block of time with family, days away and time to celebrate all you have done! It's right around the corner! Don't know you except on this board, but honestly feel like you are one of my sisters or daughters and really really hope the next few days go well, and you can relax at last!

As for the air travel, as you probably know I do plenty of that visiting my sisters (4 of them) and daughters (2 of them)... on a regular basis

I take packets and shaker in my carry on bag. My family picks up EAS drinks at Walmart or where ever and there is a quick supply ready and waiting for me in both the kitchen and guest room when I arrive. Simple! It makes being away in that setting stress free. My daughters know what select veggies I like and need now and they get lettuce and the veggies for salad that are on my list and make sure there is enough frozen spinach and broccoli and cauli, and eggs on hand when I arrive too in case we run out of something and have more important activities on the day's agenda than going to the store!! Initially when I began IP, I asked them to pick up enough for the first day or two for me. My family was supportive and it made it easy being at their homes, and staying "On Plan". Also I picked up a bag of the plain "perdue perfect portions" boneless chicken breasts individually wrapped and frozen, and a bag of frozen shrimp once I got there, so no matter what the family wanted to eat, I had a ready stash of protein I could quickly fix if needed. (Turned out I did not ever need to use those because of that situation. All dinners were IP appropriate, since every one loves steak or grilled fish or pork loins...etc.) You'll be fine...just plan for when your neices and nephews want pizza or spaghetti...and you will come back happy you were able to stay OP! The worst that can happen is no one can go to the store ahead of time for you...so being assertive about needing to make a run as soon as you get settled should be no different, and just as important, as someone else traveling with a young child that needs to get special things stocked once they arrive.

Have a wonderful well deserved romp :bravo: with all of your loved ones...roll on the floor..skip down the sidewalk...talk way into the night with your mom and laugh a lot!

Another wonderful thing about Ketosis is that it can have a dehydrating effect so I haven't had to worry about sodium. That is why IP makes sure we ADD salt. So we don't get too depleted and can retain and use the water we need effectively. I'm all-for the naturally-occurring sodium! I have MUCH more problems with the processed stiff in restaurant meals. THAT is what bloats me.

Good luck on the exams Sarita! Be nice to get those out of the way before the holidays. You've been so diligent about preparing, I'll bet you ace them!

To take on the plane with you - you might consider taking a salad in a bag or a container with cut up chicken breasts. Cucumbers, pickles, etc. travel pretty well (although pickles can get messy). Or make some cauliflower popcorn.

Good Morning IPers!

Thanks for the food for thought Lisa. I'm not quite 'there' yet with the alcohol, but I'm encouraged that I might one day get there. I can go out with friends now and stay on plan but in terms of the wine, I am still wistful, and feeling like I'm missing a little something. The good news for me is that I can go though, and have a pretty good time, and stay IP. I find that the wistful feeling doesn't last long. (And congrats on the WS...so fun!)

I loved your 'study-walk' Sarita. That sounds like it was a nice, but productive change of pace. Good luck with the exams. And the trip to see family.

I'm super snarky with the scale today. Weigh in feels like a 'grade' of sorts and I'm having a little bout of the big C, and by the time I got to the clinic, I weighed 2 lbs more than at home. Grrr! Ah well, it is only one moment in time, and I lost some lbs, and inches. Onward!

Wishing everyone IP POWER!

Kathie, I just have to say that you always post such supportive, helpful, and encouraging things. Seriously, you should consider being an IP coach!!!!

And, Sarita, I wish you the best on your exam. Can I ask what it's for? And when it is? I teach at a university, and I wish I could bring you in to explain to my students about juggling work, studying, and fun time. You seem to have a really healthy balance.....and trust me, this is a rare quality!

Nothing new or exciting here. Just plugging along staying OP. My kids are gone to their dad's house until tomorrow morning, so I will be spending a thrilling Saturday pressure washing my house. Don't be jealous! Lol.

I'm a little envious of the pressure washing...it'll look so great when it's finished. I'll be raking the driveway this morning. We have monster poplar trees with plate-sized leaves that are about 3 inches deep. I'd love to pressure wash those babies away. :)

I love this diet!

Hi Lisa ~ SO much of what you said today rings true and I shall have it resonate with me all day! Attitude is HUGE and in order for us to be successful we must first be completely dedicated to ourselves and in this. You hit the nail on the head "We gain self respect by staying in control" - ABSOLUTELY! Thank you for this reminder. And yes, the stalls, I am experiencing them this week - while a .4lb loss wasn't something to celebrate about, the 2" loss was quite heavenly to the ears. Appreciate you always putting it all into perspective.;)

Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes! Real life means making choices every day...every meal! It's about mindfulness and self-awareness. It's about looking inside and asking "why am I making this particular choice?" And being honest with the answer. Because everything is a choice. Hi Willow - Nice entry and very inspiring to read! Everything is a choice and we are in control; you couldn't be more accurate and I love this reminder b/c it's all about taking ownership and empowering ourselves to stay in check. AND, I do not want to hurt myself thus I pinky swear that I will try my hardest never to giveaway any control. Amen!

Good Morning IPers!

Wishing everyone IP POWER!

Hi vachinyc - I too am feeling a bit snarky with a .4lb loss this AM but I chose quickly not to let that make me feel blue and just embrace any sort of loss. I admit, ALL the remarks that I've read on this forum came top of mind and made me smile - while the large losses help with feeling super motivated, it's also staying in the rhythm of things that keep me inspired and empowered as well. So, a BIG kudos to all of us for staying OP and holding onto that magical IP POWER that continues to be sprinkled about and shared by all of you lovely people! :dust:

Lastly - a big shout out to all of you kind folks who responded to me yesterday within the 10-18 Daily Thread in regards to The Wrap story.

Prairie Chix - you're right; it was nothing but "weight reduction voodoo", HA!

Airportchill11, Lilkell244, CrystalWolf, Schenectady and anyone else whom I may have forgotten, I just read your feedback from yesterday and all rings home. Thanks for sharing!

Schenectady - Congrats to your daughter who lost 50lbs, that's a dream of mine! Glad that she is a source of inspiration for you ~ that's lovely that you share in her happiness. You too will find similar successes as well, you already have.

Lilkel244 - Can't wait for you to reach your first goal and purchase the Urban Decay Naked Eye Shadow palette; I just looked at it the other day in the makeup store and thought of ya, it's beautiful and you deserve something special for all of your success. You Go Girl!

Thanks to all who have shared, yet again, little tips on food to bring while traveling. I'm headed out of town next weekend with limited access to a stove and home cooked meals (staying in a hotel) SO, I intend to go armed with a cooler and load it up with all the yummy IP friendly stuff. And, LISA, you gave a fantastic suggestion of bringing a Brita along with, I never thought of that, thank you ~ HUGE money saver right there !:carrot:

Sarita,

I have travelled by plane a couple of times now while on IP. I take my shaker, drink packets, soup packets, stevia, IP Tisane tea bags, a spoon, and a thermos (it is either 16 oz or 24 oz size). Once I am through security, I buy a big bottle of water (though I think Lisa's suggestion about taking a Brita is a good one... will do that next time.)

The stewards are really good about filling my thermos with hot water. I then can make sure that I have a steady supply of the tisane with me during the flight. I make soup using the tea (have never asked them to fill my cup with hot water but I am sure they would do it.) The soup is a bit lumpy because I don't mix it in the shaker (don't want the plastic leaching into the hot water.) I just used the spoon to stir. Having a fork along, too might be handy for the purpose of stirring/breaking up the lumps. I use the bottled water for the drinks made in the shaker.

On the long haul flight to England, I ate the supper meal selectively leaving behind whatever was not op. Skipped the airline breakfast because it was a sort of fried pizza pocket and had one of the drinks instead.

It all worked really well. The stewards were really accommodating about filling my thermos a couple of times.

Have fun on your trip.

Annik

Hey, thanks, Kare! Ha, yes, I do tend to get a little evangelical about this subject. I'm all about personal responsibility. No one made me fat but me; no one's going to lose the weight but me. I feel sad for folks who abdicate the responsibility for their own lives. No one is going to live my life but me, so I'd better get out there and do it! /end soapbox rant

Sarita75

I would highly recommend the zucchini muffins for the flight. It's a good way to get vegetables in, and very portable. The veggies are probably the hardest to get on a flight or in an airport, so cucumbers, peppers, cherry tomatoes, etc. that are easy to eat would work!

I feel sad for folks who do that too. We have no one but ourselves to point the fingers too and crack the whip to get healthy and maintain. I'm happy we all made this promise. It makes life worth living to it's fullest, i.e. no more weight related setbacks and we can focus on the other things and invite all things positive into our lives.. :sunny:

Hi everyone

I'm still around, I haven't posted for weeks but I have been reading off and on. Decided to take a planned break from IP, mainly because I was going to a fitness resort in Utah and all of the meals are prepared there for you. Then after that had some medical issues crop up and so did not feel like going through the carb withdrawal phase when I already felt crummy. But not I am feeling back to myself and I am back on plan! I was off for about 6 weeks but I am now on day 3 IP with very little damage done.

I must say that eating the IP way for so long really instilled in me some good habits. I feel so much better looking forward to maintenance now. I quite easily maintained while I took the time off, which really surprised me. It was just naturally easy to do so. I still ate tons of veggies and salads and limited carbs. I had no cravings for all of my old faves: bread, etc. However, I didn't continue to lose either! So I am back now to finish what I started and continue this journey!

Well, as I contemplated returning to IP I had to seriously wonder if I wanted to return to the clinic. I decided I am giving going rogue a try with all of you roguesters and doing alternatives. I can always go back to the clinic if I need to but what I am really "worried" about is that I will miss desperately some of my IP favorites! I have not ever had a day on IP without the crispy cereal and from what I have been able to gather there is nothing out there as a duplicate. I also think the IP puddings have a better texture than the alts and hope the alts will still make a good spinach shake. Anyone have any tips or insights on these? Much appreciated.

I so appreciate the faithfulness of all of you to continue to post and inspire. There is no board out there quite like the IP board, but then I am partial. I will continue to keep up with you and add to the conversation as can. Keep up the awesome work, everyone!

I love this! Heck yeah I made myself fat. I bake waaaaaaaaay to much. I and sugar addict, not fried greasy eating out foods, not greasy high fat meats but good ol sweets and iced coffee!!! I take on full responsibility for my big butt. And I am in charge of losing said big butt.

Holy wow... The IP chocolate drink made warm is delicious. Can't quite get over it. Yummy! A nice treat on a cool fall day.

In retrospect, I should have made it as directed ie mix/shake first, heat after. I heated the water instead and then stirred in the powder...little lumpy.

I noticed today with my new supply that the IP foil packet now has the nutrition info and ingredients printed ON it...way to go IP. I was a little puzzled why they didn't do that before.

Really enjoying my warm chocolate drink :)

And the banana bread recipe looks yummy too. May have to buy some banana pudding next time.

Hi ladies! I was standing in my bathroom trying not to cry about how much hair committed suicide while I was trying to curl it just now. So I walked away and came here for a little pick me up. Love the positive things happening for everyone, love that you are all here sharing your ups and downs every day. Thanks for being here!

I am going to finish getting dressed, put on my make up and remind myself that hubby is not even going to notice my lack of hair! And it will grow back anyway. I will also remind myself that a week into maintenance my scale showed the lowest number yet this morning 153.8! No crying because I don't need puffy eyes too!

Hi ladies, you are all very supportive here! I am on week 3 and actually enjoy the program. Yesterday I made some lemon muffins with 2 different packets and they were very good!
This morning I made a pancake and really enjoyed it, with a vanilla drink packet and an egg, etc.

I am off to work now, so have a great day!

Hi Crystalwolf
I'm sorry about your hair but I'm guessing it is the last thing either of you will care about once you set eyes on each other :)
Plus you've got the IP confidence going for you. Confidence is very attractive and I'm sure you wear it well.
Go girl!!

The milk isnt? Or are you talking about the cheese?

Theres less carbs, no fat, and more protein and only about 20 more calories in 1/4 cup of feta vs. 1 oz of skim milk.. I wouldnt even need 1/4 cup of feta.

What would be the effect of using the feta? Would it take me out of ketosis? I also workout, so the few extra calories im not too concerned about..

The cheese isn't
There are more reasons than fat, calories, carbs for what is included/not included on the plan. Cheese is a big source of cravings

All I can say is it isn't on the sheet. From there it seems some folks make their own decisions and some folks stick to the plan. It's up to you.

I feel your pain! I miss cheese terribly! I actually tried those IP cheese crisp chip-like things today hoping that they would satisfy the craving, but no luck. I threw them away after eating 3 of them. Oh well. We can do this even without our beloved cheese! :)

Question for everyone.....when did you notice the hormonal-type effects (hair loss, more emotional, irregular periods, etc) of this diet? How long were you OP before you started to see the issues? I ask, because although I have had migraines off and on since I was a teenager, I haven't had one in about a year since I stopped taking birth control pills. I began to suspect that the hormones in the BC pills were triggering migraines, so I stopped taking them. Sure enough, I went from having a migraine several times a month, to NONE in the last year. Well.....today I got one. I can't help but wonder if this one is related to fat loss. I've actually worried some about whether the fat in my body is storing more androgenic or estrogenic hormones, because I worried about the possibility of estrogenic hormones inducing migraines. But it just seems wayyyy too soon. I'm not even 3 full weeks OP yet. I've only lost about 8 pounds. Maybe it's just a fluke. I hope it is. I do NOT relish the idea of these happening more often if they're weight loss related.

MelissaKate- I had a migraine the second week on IP. I usually only get them around my TOM. I know that they mentioned being more fertile while using the protocol, so your theory about hormones seems on target. Maybe the high soy content?

NSV - It's been rainy here in Ohio, and I am tired of dragging my umbrella around, so I went to Goodwill to look for a rain jacket. Enjoy that coat! My 2 I got "poppin tags" are at the cleaners so I'll be ready for the big chill.

I'm with you on the umbrella. I carry too much stuff in & out of multiple sites every day to keep an umbrella too. Jacket with a hood is essential for me!

Here's my recent NSV
I've gotten so used to the stall that I've stayed off the scale so I don't get discouraged. I DID weigh this week before another phase cycle. It's still stuck.
But I noticed my pants seem like they are getting bigger.

Know how I'm always :soap: that the scale isn't the only way to gauge fat loss?
How about 1.5" off my waist and 2" off my hips :dancer:

Someday the scale will join the not-stalled party but until then, ANY positive (or in this case negative -as in "going down") feedback will do!

The moral? Don't forget the measuring tape & don't give up on the smaller you!

Later this morning I'm heading over to a nearby gym to join. If the scale doesn't want to move, there are other ways to burn fat. Since I'll be adding P3 carbs again, I think it's time. Plus my back seems to have made it over some invisible threshold & I am now having multiple pain-free days in a row (unfortunately this morning isn't one of them)

On sooo many levels, persistence pays!

I have floundered going rogue, returning to IP then switching to Paleo, and basically all over the board. Paleo gave me lots of energy and my hair and skin looked better but I wasn't abstaining from alcohol and the weight loss was too slow. Also, I've had problems with arthritis and skin breakouts that I believed were due to whey protein. Which is why I tried other routes but, I want to try IP again because weight loss is so successful.

Went to IP office yesterday to buy products and try on my own to see if pain comes back, hopefully not. Learned the month of October is free to rejoin, no startup fee. So, I got weighed and measured, which I wasn't planning. I really want to lose this weight! Went to a party last night and stayed OP, no alcohol of course! I feel so good this morning!!! :carrot: :carrot:

Yeay Lisa Yeay! You have such a positive attitude, it's contagious. Your perspective is so realistic and THAT sets you up for success. This was a nice entry for me to read this AM as I too am hitting a bit of a stall phase however, the inches were down and I forget at times that, inches count (very much) in this process. I can't wait for the scale to catch up to the "party" but until then, I enjoy your reminders re: "the scale isn't the only way to gauge fat loss" - I quickly forget when I'm in the heat of weighing-in at the center. :dizzy:

And, what a great time of year to join a gym, good for you! It's not too cold yet and the snow hasn't fallen so you'll get yourself into the groove of going and at times when the weather makes it a bit more difficult to get there, you'll still go. I too have serious lower back and neck issues and I try to manage it through losing weight and strengthening my core and back muscles. Are you considering yoga at all? I am however, for now, it's the treadmill and elliptical and free weights. Enjoy getting your gym-on and don't forget to bring some music if that encourages you to keep going :tread:

Btw, Deana & Lisa: Congrats on the NSV size drop; woohoo!

Welcome back!
Doesn't it feel great to exercise the self control muscle? That feeling of "doing it" in the face of challenges is exhilarating!
Congrats!

We really CAN do it.

What I'm learning, in that ever-clear 20/20 hindsight is that all the times in my life I thought I couldn't stick to a plan, it was really that I wouldn't, for whatever reason. It was truly a mental block. I certainly would never have admitted it at the time because it wasn't a conscious thought. My consciousness was on-board but something inside wasn't.

This weight loss thing is NOT a physical challenge, it is a mental one.

It isn't a competition with others, it is a battle we fight within ourselves. Everyone would like to stick to the plan and get off the weight quickly. Not everyone does. Some take a break and try again. I'm so glad you're back.

Whatever it takes. I know for me, I had to have my head on straight and an all-in attitiude with a razor sharp commitment. Besides, if I can't keep a commitment to myself, how do I ever expect to take care of anyone else?

You're starting right before the big holiday push. It is never too early to start planning for all of those holiday obstacles. There will be many. We can get thru anything with a plan to stay OP!

I have never eaten the IP Crispy Cereal, but I love the Proti-Diet honey nut and chocolate soy cereals! Any of the puddings seem to have a gritty consistency, but it is not horrible. I personally do not like the aftertaste of some IP puddings. Good luck!

Must say that I admire your positive attitudes. Had my second weigh in today and my total pounds worked away are 13.5 so far.

WOW ! So inspiring .... I am new to IP and the thread. I had my first weigh in and lost 7lbs in first week!

Congrats! Those first losses are so motivating. Keep it up and you'll reach your goals!

Question for everyone.....when did you notice the hormonal-type effects (hair loss, more emotional, irregular periods, etc) of this diet?.

I can definitely vouch for the irreg periods on this diet, ugh!!! I take relatively high-dose oral contraceptives to regulate heavy flow, and TWICE since starting (late August), my TOM has started right in the middle of a pack! In other words, two times per month! Ugh! I should buy stock in Kotex LOL! Having a hard time right now, and the doc is changing me to a lower dose pill, but I know it is only temporary. I don't experience the migraines, but I have had headaches in general. I sure hope you can get some relief soon!

I suffered from migraines prior to IP. They were debilitating and my quality of life was seriously affected by them. My migraines stopped almost immediately when I started IP. I have had a couple of bad headaches since starting, but my migraines are gone. I am menopausal and taking estrogen. I noticed my hot flashes and night sweats also disappeared, but they returned after about 6 weeks (that is a guess, since I don't remember for sure). It is my understanding that burning fat releases estrogen and this causes a lot of hormonal symptoms, which include headaches, moodiness, bloating, body temperature changes, dry skin, etc....in my case it offered a brief respite from these symptoms. I also notice that my hot flashes and night sweats are less frequent.

I ate before I went and quite happily drank my water and nibbled on a caramel nut bar for my snack. Before IP, I'm sure I would have had a taste of everything, lol!

Another family is taking my son to the hockey practice this afternoon so I'll be able to get some work done, it's going to be a tough week at work this week so I've got a bit to do before tomorrow. And that doesn't include laundry, vacuuming or getting some groceries :(

Oh well, happy Sunday!
Jo

Down 4 pounds in the last 3 days after staying the same for a couple weeks...SO glad I trusted this diet and didn't fall off the wagon...I sure was discouraged there for a bit. Proof that I need to just stay OP and have trust in this protocol.
Happy Sunday everyone!! Hope you all had a great weekend!

That is awesome news!

Congrats to everyone with the good weighins and NSVs.

Hugs and will power to everyone struggling today.

Thanks purplemomster, I took vachinyc's IP confidence advice after my near meltdown over my hair, finished getting ready and told my dd to take my picture quick!

I feel your pain! I miss cheese terribly! I actually tried those IP cheese crisp chip-like things today hoping that they would satisfy the craving, but no luck. I threw them away after eating 3 of them. Oh well. We can do this even without our beloved cheese! :)

I miss my cheese too! Thus I have researched and been planning a primal lifestyle after IP. They allow dairy if you can tolerate it and I can. Remember this is just a temporary phase, soon you will be in another phase. Good luck.

Question for everyone.....when did you notice the hormonal-type effects (hair loss, more emotional, irregular periods, etc) of this diet? How long were you OP before you started to see the issues?

Well I think it was either my fifth or sixth week when I noticed a hormonal type change, that being having TOM (I hadn't had one in three years!) I had nead constant migraines before starting IP, had a few the first few weeks but none after my fifth week. If yours are triggered by the hormones though it makes sense that you could continue to have them through the entire plan because hormones are stored in our fat and when we lose fat that releases the hormones back into our bodies to be 'used.' Also on the flip side, when I went off the diet to get my LDL to go down for a work screening, that's when my hair started falling out. Not before that phase off had I noticed it. I wish you good luck with the migraines, I know how they can ruin your life

Deana
:cp:

Enjoy that coat! My 2 I got "poppin tags" are at the cleaners so I'll be ready for the big chill.

Deana congrats on the new raincoat, soon you will be finding it a bit loose and you will enjoy that feeling so so much. You are rockin this program.

Lisa congrats on finding (I think is how I am reading it) some great deals! I loved my old coat so much that I took it to my seamstress and asked if she could work any magic with it. As she had me put it on she was amazed at how huge it had become since last winter. I just got it back on Friday and it is still awesome! I love my coat.

Anyone know an online site that sells actual IP products? That ships to Canada? Thanks!

I sure don't know of any, I wish I knew a site that would sell IP products, I still miss and crave my crispy cereal, I too ate it every morning while I was with a coach. And there is nothing out here in the alternative universe that I found that is like it one bit. I have gone to using the Weight Loss Systems by Nashua Nutrition - Cinnamon Crunch Cereal and eating it dry. I feel like an adult baby eating my 'cheerios' but they are tasty and I like them!

So I posted last Sunday or Monday that I was making myself stay/ get back fully on phase 1 and I have now broken through what ever mental emotional barrier I seemed to be dealing with the first two weeks of October. Happy to report I am down 7.2 pounds in my first week back! Just so happy to be back to this state of mind. I can't stress enough how much this really all is a mental game, and if you can't get your mind in the right place, its at least not going to be easy at all.

NSV - yesterday at work had someone that looked like a complete stranger say "By the way Denise, you are really looking awesome, what ever your doing it's really paid off" and she walked off with her son. my coworker turned to me and asked who that was and I replied "I have no idea, never seen her before" and she said "You must have because how else would she know your name? Your not wearing a name tag today!"
Also another friend asked me when I was going to stop dieting, as I a "so small now" ... after gaining so much while I was phased off, I sure don't feel too small but it felt nice to hear it.

Talking about that I gained, should I update my ticker with the 'added pounds' I keep debating in my head my so called 'reasons' for either leaving it till I get back to that number or changing it to the current number. Please?

After a 2 week break from 3FC, I am back. No break from IP though! Just from the negative feeling from here a few weeks ago. It all seems to be calmed down, so I'm happy to be back.

Just got back from vacation. I did gain 2 lbs but back in P1 today. I hit my goal before I left and I've decided to try for another 10lbs and lower my goal. I can do it!:D

I brought home 2 new Chinese Crested Powderpuff dogs this weekend. O my god do I love them! So alert, affectionate, playful and smart. They are sometimes called velcro dogs and I can see why! They love, love, love to cuddle... even with cats!

Hi Mountainrose!!

I see you are a fellow crispy cereal lover like me. I have just a few left and I am slowly savoring them. They make the best pancake as well as cereal.

You do whatever you would like with your ticker, it is entirely up to you!! Maybe if you add on the pounds, you will enjoy "crediting" yourself with losing them again. I know for me, I actually didn't update my ticker as I had been gone for 6 weeks, if I had updated it last week I would have just added one pound and so didn't bother, but next week after I have a formal at home WI, I will go ahead and update it then.

Ok I am desperately searching for the cauliflower pizza crust recipe...I searched #4 but cant find it :( can someone please give it to me pretty pretty pretty please **bats eye lashes**

Also can you send some good vibes/positive thoughts/prayers to my mom and dad?? They are going on week 3 and their insurance company has NOT given them a check yet for their claim, they are just him-hawing around stalling so they make them wait. The office has been giving them excuse after excuse as to why they wont give it to them :( My dad cannot get a working set of blue prints from the company they are getting the house from, until my dad has the check in the bank and the bank signs off on the forms that he does indeed have the $$ for the house.

It is getting colder and colder, they have $$ from the living expense check to stay at a hotel BUT they need to try to save pennies so they can get a basement for the house. Dad goes back to work at the end of November and the house needs to be up and moved into before then!!! It is going to take 3 weeks for the cement to set once the basement get poured....but no basement until the blue prints are ready--it is a vicious cycle with the stupid company.

I advised dad to start the claim for the home furnishing tomorrow when he goes to the office, lord knows it will take 3+ weeks for that crap too!!

ARGH!!! I wish I could fix everything, but I can't :(

thanks for letting me rant again :(

just 'liked' Ideal Protein TV on Facebook.

They have a post about rice: 45 g carbohydrates in 1 cup.

O my god... I used to feel good about eating rice instead of a potato.

My coach will ship food and splits the cost of shipping (at least she used to!) let me know if you want me to ask her :)

How did you prepare the drink? just warmed it up and added anything?
