Link to zucchini muffin recipe. Since I eliminated soy, this has become a staple.

Maple oatmeal (restricted unless you use Protidiet brand)
I also like banana, lemon, wildberry, and potato. I made chocolate the other nite...kinda like a brownie! You can make pumpkin spice with vanilla pudding pumpkin pie spice

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/4815317-post89.html

I saw one posted yesterday but it was a little different. With the zucchini, no additional water necessary. I cook & drain my zucchini first.

I personally add no additional sweetener but I'm trying to get away from everything tasting like dessert, sine that isn't real life.

Oooooh! Thanks for sharing the recipe, Lisa, I love Zucchini bread so, what a smart way to portion control a la muffins! I've been so curious to check out the oatmeal so to use it in a recipe will be interesting. From the picture, they seem to have come out beautifully. I bet this made your kitchen smell so good ~ hope you enjoyed and thanks again. :chef:

Good Morning!!

I have barely been on here this week. It's been super crazy at work, and my mom and Grandma are coming tonight until Tuesday so I'm sure with the combination, I won't get much time on here again until next week when life goes back to normal.

Just wanted to stop by and report that I had weigh in 14 this morning and am down another 3.4 lbs! I am so close to 50 lbs lost! And ONEderland!

I added all of my weight loss into the Halloween Challenge, since I met the challenge a few weeks ago, I wanted to see the percentage I lost total, etc. :) I wish I knew how to make a chart like that. :p

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week! I will come back when I can!!

Woohoo! WTG on the WI - ONEderland is next :carrot:

Lisa - I made the vanilla pudding/pumpkin spice zucchini muffins last night for a co-worker. She's having a tough time staying OP so I offered to make her some since I was making myself some. I made the lemon pudding ones for myself - yum!

Good Thursday morning all! Parent/Teacher conferences for my son tonight. Why do I still feel like the child and not the parent at these things??? :D

I think my coach mentioned that they were getting those new chips in today, debating on whether or not I want to pick some up. I've heard they're quite strong in flavour but maybe with some mockamole, they'd be really yummy?

Have a great IP day!

Good Morning my Lovlies :carrot:

I hope that everyone is having a good morning so far. This weekend we are bringing all of our stuff back from storage (we put it in there over the summer with the idea our house would sell) and since it has not we are bringing everything back , so I can have my house back and host Thanksgiving!!!

I am feeling good today, I do not have a craving for sweets today so I guess that is a NSV in its own LOL.

Hope everyone has a great day :)

Good luck today SarahBell, we're cheering you on!

Thank you so much.. the kids have today and tomorrow off so I am going to take them bowling tomorrow and today we are getting the house nice and clean so we have the weekend for whatever. Mom and dad will not be around too much over the weekend they have too much to do to get their house up by the end of November! They have 6.5 weeks to get the blue prints, basement dug, foundation poured git that abt 2.5-3 weeks to set up properly and then have the house delivered. The company they purchased the home from cannot deliver after a certain time due to freeze laws and weather around here!
so we stay home and find something fun to do :)

Congrats ShrinkingSusie! Onderland is just around the corner!! Enjoy your visit with your family.

My hubby comes home Saturday, I am getting the dust bunnies out of the corners of his man cave and have his beer fridge full and his man cave pantry full of snacky things. That man is so lucky he is six feet tall, and has no fat on him. Lives off of steak, potatoes and beer. Glad he can keep all of that not good for me stuff in the basement! Even gladder he will be home to inhabit the man cave once more.

Way to go! Lol still right behind ya! - I have to change my weigh in day to sat because of my new job - so maybe next one will take me to that magical onederland - but I imagine it will be the week after :)

The new chips are really good - I didnt find them all that strong - and with the mockamole they are like a full meal!!
Have fun at the parent teacher interview bwaahaaa- I hated those - usually skipped them if I could get away with it ;)

So not sure if this is a nsv or what - but watched the biggest looser the other night and for the FIRST time ever - I weighed less than everyone on there! usually there were one or two that I could compare myself with...

Have a great IP day everyone :)

Well I'm back from another weigh in. 2.2 lbs :D

That's after the warrior dash and an Off plan day. Told my coach I won't be back and that I was switching to alternatives. He wasn't very happy as matter of fact he got pretty cold. Guess I was really just $$ to him. Oh well.

I'm halfway to my goal and I'm not stopping Now!

Congrats Nola!

Good morning all. Just quickly checking in before getting started on work. Same stress, same "can't wait for this exam to be over," blah blah blah from me. :) Staying cheerful. Have hikes lined up for when I get home from NC, am researching nutritionists who specialize in ketogenic diets for exercisers, and am planning my trips to Tahoe for snowboarding with the boyfriend. So, despite the pain, there's a lot of joy. I guess this is just another example of 'life.'

Hugs to you all!

Congrats to the loss!!! THat is too awesome :carrot::carrot::carrot:. As for your $$$ hungry coach he can jump in a cold lake! I can see by so many posts on this forum that the coaches seem to be in this for the $$$$ and that is it. Happy Thursday, everyone!

Well, I am sitting here at home with a day off today (after the most fun doc appt-NOT). I think this diet is messing with my bc pills. No biggie, I can handle it. Now, it is time to grade some papers and work on my online class. Maybe I can actually have all my work done today and enjoy a weekend with no schoolwork! Have a great, OP Thursday, and here's to the weekend!

Good Thursday morning all! Parent/Teacher conferences for my son tonight. Why do I still feel like the child and not the parent at these things???

Just placed my first order with Nashua. Ordered my restricted items from them. Will be using them with the EAS shakes for breakfast and dinner. On my work days I'll have the shake w spinach for breakfast. My protein and 2 additional cups of veggies for lunch and hen another shake for dinner. It's just so much easier as the evenings are far busier at the casino and I can have the shake on the fly.

Side note would someone please send me that little chart that was floating around ? I tried to find it but couldn't I want to save the screenshot of it on my iPad.

It does! Look around this forum. When you are burning fat at the rate you do in ketosis, your body releases extra estrogen. My first time around, I stopped getting my visitor on time and I know other people have had experiences like this.

Your coach is supposed to tell you about this, but you should DEFINITELY be using a back up (barrier) method, just in case.

Mix the packet normally. Pour over ice in the blender & then blend
It works to combine flavors, too.
Mix 2 packets with 16 oz water. Pour 8 oz over ice in blender.
Save the other half for another time (strawberry/banana smoothie + Pina colada is yum! plus the leftover can go back into the RTD bottle)
I've also combined these others with pina colada: mango peach, orange. (I went thru a pina colada phase but now I'm sick of it but still have several boxes to use up so I combine with other flavors).

Great to read about everyone's successes! I watched BL too and love the show but sometimes struggle with the image it portrays that exercising yourself to the brink of vomiting and drastically reducing calories is a healthy way to lose weight....

Had a NSV yesterday. A friend made my aunt brownies ( I am visiting in GA) and I had to move them from the plate to a Tupperware container. Now I LOVE brownies and these were from scratch...and I wasn't even tempted to lick my fingers. Washed them off and when everyone had brownies I had my Quest bar.
could someone please connect me to a link on here for reading resources recommended by the group? Thanks!

I don't watch BL
I, similar to Balanced Life, struggle with what I consider to be obese abuse.

I want to know how many of the folks keep their weight off 1,2,...5 years later. This is my next big adventure...maintenance. Something I've never done before.

From the episodes of BL I HAVE seen & the abuse they endure, I can only see that they are hurting their endocrine systems, in addition to a multitude of other systems.

I won't watch.
It is just too bad people have to be mistreated or misbehaving for it to be considered "good" TV. "Good" is not "quality" in my book.

Also...very discouraging weigh in today...3 weeks ago at my weigh in I had lost 6 pounds in one week...now the scale hasn't budged since. I need some encouragement!! She put me on a really low week (shakes and puddings only) so hopefully that kick starts things again...I was so upset today! I realize there could be many reasons like time of month, hormones, etc, etc...but come on...someone who is morbidly obese has got to lose weight doing a thousand calorie a day diet...but nothing in 3 weeks and no cheating??

There are MANY reasons you could be not dropping weight.
Have you had your thyroid checked?
There are many hormones that can block weight loss. Cortisol is one of them.

The other thing: some of us have found that ADDING a packet helps some folks lose, especially folks over 250 (you are close).

Are you eating salads every day, too?
Adding your oil TO your food (not just cooking with it?)

At my weigh in today my coach told me the garlic herb soy chips were restricted. I thought they were non restricted?? I have read that several times..
I just went to SEVERAL IP clinic pages. It is unrestricted.
I wish every coach would stay current
Makes is end up pretty silly to pay them!

Incredibly frustrating for you!. I'm stalled but I'm MUCH further along and have reaped MANY benefits from IP. Just remember, most coaches are FAR from experts.

Adrenal fatigue could be another factor. Unfortunately most of the mainstream medical community knows little about treatment of cortisol imbalance or adrenal fatigue. They also aren't as good at optimizing thyroid. They only look to see if it is within clinical range. Pregnancy could have altered that thyroid functioning, as well.
Something is definitely wrong if you are sticking to it 100%

Why don't you start using the What I'm Eating Today thread
There are folks there who can offer insight.

Are all of your meats super low-fat? Some of our folks have found better losses with mixing it up and having higher fat meats once or twice per week (salmon & steak for example).

Don't give up while seeking a solution!

No, last week I had beef tenderloin 3 times....still lean though. Tonight I had a big ol fatty pork chop...not OP but had that same train of thought today as you as far as some fattier meat. She is going to do measurements next week as well, but from my rough measuring it does appear that my waist has gone from 39 to 37.5 in the last 2 weeks or so...but still, you would think some weight loss would accompany that at my size.

and thanks for your help Lisa...I just may have to wander over to that thread. Hopefully things change for me by next week and I have a substantial drop.

Balanced Life: Re: Reading
Did you read all the links in the first post of this thread?

HiLisa! I did look at the threads and they are awesome. I thought I remembered some books that you have referenced and recommended so I was trying to find those as well.

Hi ladies,

Today was my WI - my home sale had me down 2.5 lbs but my coach's only .5. I get that all scales are different but we have been consistent. What I'm struggling with is that I'm working out too much she says and not eating enough. I scared to add the extra pack for days that I exercise but she thinks my body is hanging on to the fat for energy.
I have also lost 3lbs of lean muscle which is not good. I'm doing about 5 to 6 workouts a week, yoga, light - medium spin three times for 30 min, and then the rest a mix of core and weights.
If people have had similar experiences would love to hear and that adding the extra packet will really help.
Thanks
