Good morning everyone. It's Wednesday, my least favorite IP day. I'm tired from running around all week, but the weekend is still far. It's also the day before my weigh in. I like weigh in days on IP, but I am usually almost our of food! So I open my cupboard with all my IP food, and there's not much there! I love the first Thursdays, when I have a great weigh in, get to pick all my food for the week, try something new. Wednesdays, not so much! I sometimes buy a couple extra packets, and obviously need to do that this week, to giveme more variety by the end of the week.

Or maybe I need to change my weigh in day! Every week!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Happy Wednesday!!

Weigh-in tomorrow! I'm feeling good about this one. :) My new $5 jeans that I got about a month ago are now falling at the hips and saggy in the bum... But over the weekend my sister moved in with my husband and I and she let me go through her closet. Got myself a nice pair of size 12 dress pants!! I said no way they would fit but my sister just said to try them! Going to be showing those off at work this afternoon for sure!!! :p

Hope everyone has a great day! :cheer2:

Good morning!

I'm with you 1littlestar - Wednesday is usually a bear. BUT the weekend is around the corner so hang tough!

Don't smaller sizes make you feel great Susie? My sister cleaned out her closet the other day - mostly 10s and 12s which I am not wearing yet. But they are sure inspirational! I haven't had small clothes in my closet (ok, they're in a box in my closet) in a long time. Looking forward to being able to actually wear them!

It is a great feeling. I have so many nice summer clothes that I was too big for this summer and I'm pretty sure that they will be too big for me next summer, but I am going to hang on to them for now as my mom is losing weight as well. She loves that every time I visit her I bring a bag of clothes. And now it is great for me that I can raid my sisters closet (she has everything from 14s-9s) to get me through for a while without buying something to wear for a short time.

Hi Everyone!

Just checking in- it's been busy around here recently. Well, after several weeks of holding steady, I lost 6.8 pounds this week- I am in shock! I knew that the inches were coming off, but that is my biggest loss since week one. Wahoo!

On a related note, I am down a couple of sizes and I don't have much in the size I am in. I am only 1-2 sizes away from my regular size, so I don't want to buy much, but I can't wear stuff that doesn't look professional for work. I tried the goodwill in town, but I've only found shirts not pants or skirts that would work (it's small and always seems very picked over). We don't have a good consignment place. ( I did however just buy a red j.crew miniskirt to wear with tights! I haven't worn a miniskirt since before I was pregnant!)

Anyone have any ideas for how to find a few things kind of cheaply? Had any luck on ebay? I'm worried about not trying it on first?

I don't have time to drive the 3 hours to the next bigger city....

Good Morning my lovely IPers.

Today is better. I feel so good today. This is the last time I will talk abt my parents BUT yesterday I talked to my dad who sounded like he had the weight of the world lifted off his shoulders, he was upbeat and cheery. They are getting a modular home and they will start digging the basement in a few weeks. He will settle with insurance by Friday. They will have NO MORTGAGE, no loans NADA :carrot::carrot::carrot: there is a silver lining in all of this.

Anywho today is my bday. DH has not said happy bday to me yet. So lets see what he does. Also I need a winter coat, but I hate to spend $$$$ on one when I am shrinking (I hope). I did pick out 2 new coach purses and wallets that I want too :D

OH! I found a a 0/0/0 caramel syrup at the dollar store that DOES NOT tast fakey-artificial and gross. it tastes like caramel is a IP friendly OMG it is so good. it is called café al fresco

anywho happy HUMPDAY!

Last couple of days I realized my jeans were getting really baggy...actually some friends were telling me my jeans were to big. So I finally pulled out my huge garbage bag of jeans that I had put in the back of the closet because they got way too tight. I tried on 2 different pairs - and they fit perfectly! So happy to be back into my old jeans. Now... I would like for those to get big so I have an excuse for new jeans! :)

I saw a two pound drop on my scale this morning! And you know what's most amazing about that? TODAY is my WI day! That never happens for me. I always seem to see drops a day or two after my WI.

My goal weight was 143 and I'm now 138. My coach wanted me to be about 3 pounds below goal so I would have some wiggle room in maintenance. It's really tempting to move the goal post and lose more weight. My belly still has some fat to spare. But I think the most important thing about this diet is learning to eat in real life, not trying to get as skinny as possible.

I think I will phase off and focus all of my energy on learning how to eat in maintenance. The holiday season will be a big test - I always gain weight during the holidays. I'm going to try to stick very closely to Phase 4 through the end of the year. Then in January, I will do an annual reboot in which I can see if it's possible for me to actually flatten out this lifelong round belly of mine.

shrinkingsusie - I think clothes victories are the nicest ones because they are such concrete signs of the progress made. We all know that the pounds can waiver, pop up, stall, whatever, but those clothes really let us know that we have been working hard.

Enjoy wearing those new size 12's and walk proud and tall in them. You deserve it for all your hard work.

I have bought clothing on ebay but if you are looking for clothes that you will only be wearing for a short while, you need to check that the shipping charges don't make it less than ideal. Since you also can't try things on, that may be a tough way to go but if you are bidding for known names that you know how they fit, maybe give it a try.

eguarantee: you look fantastic. Love the picture!

susie: you're shrinking! it is so much fun getting into smaller sizes and showing them off. i love getting dressed for work now.

stormy: congrats on the 6.8 lbs lost this week. it is such a great feeling and yet challenging when you start going down in sizes. my local goodwill never has much but i am lucky there is a Clothes Mentor and Plato's Closet here, so I can find some nice things at low prices. Walmart and Sam's Club have some good deals too. Maybe you can check out eBay. Sometimes you can buy clothes in "lots" at really good deals. I did not want to buy new clothes when i was only a couple sizes away from goal, but of course it was a necessity.

sarahbell: i am glad to hear things are looking up for your family. i know that will bring you a much needed peace. it is hard on us when our loved ones are hurting.

2much2do: congrats on you losses at WI! WTG!

Not much to report on my end. I am still hanging in with P2. The first week has gone by quickly and it will be P3 and maintenance before I know it.

You certainly deserve a big happy birthday from all of us. You have spent so much time taking care of others that you get a big celebration from us.

By the way, it is OK to keep mentioning your parents because we all have concerns for their welfare and our fingers crossed that every day is better and better for them and for you. It is so wonderful that things are getting better and we hope for many sunny days in their future.

Good morning. Happy birthday Sarah, congrats on all the losses too! There are wayyyyyy too many out there to mention (and it's only 8:42 a.m. here in CA)! Woot!! So happy for everyone.

Life continues to be stressful and today will be no different. I have a difficult telephone call I have to have on a case where I am essentially pulling the plug on a verbal agreement we made to use a particular person because we feel there may be a conflict of interest. It's stressful but I think it is the right thing to do ultimately.

Good times.

Anyhow, onwards and upwards and all that jazz.

Wow! Congrats you look fantastic! What great inspiration on a beautiful Wednesday!

Congrats to all of you losers this week!:carrot::carrot:
I weigh in on Saturday so we'll see what happens. I'm hoping for another 2-3 pound loss.
Happy Birthday, Sarah! Glad you are feeling better today. :hat:

I hate eating out.. I usually end up eating out at least once a week. For lunch I had a salad and greek dressing, because they didn't have balsamic vinegar. I don't know what's in it..so I'm wondering if I should be even having it. I only had a few tablespoons, but still.

Have a great day everyone!

Yes!

EAS Carb Advanage (or whatever they call the low carb ones)
Yes!

Thought so. I do not have any ready to drink shakes so I grabbed a 4 pack of chocolate to keep on hand or carry in my purse for a just in case situation

Today I am just starving. maybe my body is recovering from the weekend and its getting back to where it has been for 3 1/2 weeks!

Started phase three today and it has been nice to have something different for breakfast. Not really like the plain yogurt, does anyone use other flavors of yogurt on phase three???

Yes I did as I am not a yogurt fan. My coach said ok.

Thanks..it means the world to me. This place, and the people have really helped keep me sane the last six weeks. It would be so much fun to have a party!! It would have been easy to get off track (Really...had some docs even telling me to abandon ship...) but cheering you all on ABSOLUTELY kept my own goals in sight, and gave me a lot of satisfaction as the finish lines were crossed by some ...like YOU.....!

You look GREAT! And I remember your early posts...you were so serious about this...there was no doubt you'd get your way with it all!!
Happy dance to you! (In one of your new outfits of course!!)

Hello everyone, a bit late checking in today. I don't know where the morning went but it's gone and I accomplished nothing!! It's one of those days.

Happy Birthday Sarah! And congratulations everyone else on the losses and NSV's!

I'm one of those people not complaining about hump day because the week is going too fast and I have too much to do at work before I go on vacation and I'm in court for 2 days so that means other stuff won't get worked on. I'm trying not to let it stress me because that is how I gained 30 pounds in the last year and a half - extreme stress!!!

On the NSV front, I am wearing a pair of pants (size 14) that have not fit since March 2011!!

Have a great day everyone.

They are on 10/22- so just under 2 weeks. Cannot wait for them to be over. That weekend I am heading home to my mother's in NC to see my brothers, various kids of theirs and their dogs. Looking forward to it immensely.

Anywho today is my bday. DH has not said happy bday to me yet. So lets see what he does. Also I need a winter coat, but I hate to spend $$$$ on one when I am shrinking (I hope). I did pick out 2 new coach purses and wallets that I want too :D

Hello everybody,

Congratulations on all the losses :)

Happy birthday Sarah.

For those of you who have pants that are getting baggy, I did take in some of my pants myself, if you know your way around a sewing machine, it is fairly easy to take in pants, just wear the pant and see how much you need to take in approximately, take the pants off then divide the number of inches to take, let's say 3 inches, that would be 1.5 inch from each side, with a light color marker, mark the pants on the wrong side, and sew, then cut the extra fabric. This is what I did with the pants I am wearing today and another pair of pants, I took it down from size 22 to 18.

I usually try not to buy expensive clothes, so I don't regret if I couldn't fix them.

But hope this will help.

Happy Birthday Sarah! I'm so glad things are turning in the right direction for your parents.

On a business trip this week, flew to CA today from DC, weird gaining 3 hours - if I'm supposed to eat every 3.5-4 hours, looks like I might get 5 meals today!!

Jumped on my scales this morning and I've gained 1 lb since Sat (WI day) That's a first for me. I did start weightlifting again, had a session on Sunday and one yesterday am so wondering if my body is adjusting. Oh well, I'm totally OP so not going to worry about it. Need to focus on staying on plan through a week of meetings and then the weekend w/DH in Napa.

Have a great hump day guys.

Happy Hump Day to all. Today was actually my Friday as I am working thois weekend. I finally feel like I am more satisfied and more determined to stick with this. My scale looks good this week but tomorrow is my official weigh in. I have been getting more creative and that has helped me. yestarday I made a pancake with the crispy cereal was great. Had mashed cauliflower last night used Broc ch Ip Packet, that was great too. Anyway congrats on all your victories I find peoples posts encouraging, love to see the pics and hear about peoples clothes falling off..can't wait...lol

Went outto dinner withmy mom and daughter this evening. It was nice just to have a "girls" dinner. We giggled and taked about everything under the sun. :D now I'm ready to kick back and check out the new season of American Horror Story. It was filmed here in New Orleans so I'm always curious to see how terribly our fine city is represented.

Today was my first day of Ideal Protein - I had my consult last week, and today was "go time!" I'm so glad I found 3FC, because I know I'm going to need support and encouragement!

No cheating today - proud of myself for that. However, I DID fantasize about all the carbs you can imagine - even foods that wouldn't tempt me before, like Raisin Bran and Nilla Wafers. I'm not necessarily hungry, but I am craving carbs. Ketosis can't come fast enough!!!!

It's not on purpose... I usually weigh in every week. My coach had her baby 5 weeks early last week, hence why last week was cancelled. Her husband is taking over with the weigh-ins now so he measured me today. They want next week off for him to be home with new baby, and I think after that it'll be back to every week WI's.
