100 lb. Club - Strange thing that make you see progress.

So yesterday I noticed I am getting "bat wings". At first I was like NOOOOOO! Then it hit me. I have lost enough weight in my arms that I have loose skin there.

Today it dawned on me, I bet others notice "strange" things as progress as well, so what have you noticed that has made you think "look how far I have come!"?

This is strange but I was sitting on the loo and notice a tendon by my knee and muscle definition starting in my thighs.

I was laying on my back the other day and I felt an ab muscle. (It's still well hidden, but it's there).

I also have bat wings - my arms look freakishly small from some angles, as do my knees. And in the TMI department my ahem, lady bits are definitely showing signs of loss.

there now is a big flat space between my breasts where they sit on my chest where it used to be filled with boobs...weirdest thing EVER!

i can see a collarbone for the first time that i can ever remember :D my ankles and knees are much bonier now and that freaks me out....i can see tendons on the tops of my hands and that also freaks me out....and my nose seems to have gotten smaller wth? lol

i think, in general, being able to see my "inner" body parts through my skin (bones etc) really creeps me out in a weird way and i'm not even sure why....maybe because i have an irrational fear of starving to death....which is why, going down this train of thought, i've always struggled with overeating etc

Of all things, my earlobes have lost weight! :dizzy: They used to be too fat to snap the backings into those little grooves. :o

Collar bones, fo sho.

I have recently noticed these weird pockets of fat I use to have have just vanished. I had a clump on the top of my inner shin, like right below my knees... That's gone. and the same sort of clump sitting on my upper arms. Now they are still fairly large and have a mighty circumference, but they are smoooooth.

I thought about googling "exercises to lose my "FUPA", LOL! I guess I haven't got that desperate yet... lol...

I certainly have loose skin. I remind myself that it is evidence of my weight loss. My wrist and hands fascinate me. I can really see the difference there, in a positive way.

The other day my boyfriend was holding my hand when he got a weird look on his face. I asked him what was wrong and he said "I can feel handbones." I looked and by gum, you can see some of my bones moving under the skin now. I grabbed his hand and said "I can feel yours too!" Then we giggled at the funny places we're losing weight.

I noticed that I am starting to have a little crescent under my bum cheeks, and a nice curvature from my lower back into my bum. I forgot what that was like after year of having a fat person's flat back/butt/thigh transitional area.

@smashlers, already googled it and they said it's one of the last places you lose weight and there aren't really exercises for it. xD

It's all in the face. Seriously.

But if you really want a funny one, losing a shoe size. And only realising it after ordering two pairs of shoes at my old size. Doh!

And, yeah, my ar$e has become seriously fricking uncomfortable to sit on.

I lost a full shoe size! Then I got pregnant and gained half of it back. :preg: Now I'm all confused and don't know what size boots to order now (so I have to wait until I have the baby before I buy any). :dizzy:

I haven't lost enough to see it on my body yet, but I'm so very encouraged by this thread! Thank you, Sommer!

I didn't even realize it but now that you said it, this! My backside and thighs were so uh.. filled out that it was pretty much just one big lump, same for lower back. Much more defined now :)

Gosh, besides the bat thighs and wings, I know the obvious one is the butt. I always called it my flat fatback cause literally it was just a straight board that went from back to thigh with a little jut in for butt curve. Now I have a badonk that I'm kinda fond of in jeans.

I also have a hard time sitting down. I'm glad I'm not alone. I also googled that (lol along with the fupa question) for an answer and apparently, you have a muscle that pulls the tailbone in when you sit or get hurt to pretend the tailbone (or coccyx) from being injured. When you are bigger, you kinda don't need to use the muscle cause you use your fat as protection so it kinda gets lazy so I'm guessing with more core/back workouts that it'll improve.

Oh! Elbows, knees, wrists and yes, even the earlobes too. I have veiny hands that my mom pointed out the other day. Wow, I guess I am changing.

I was wearing shorts one day and caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror side on and I was thrilled to see sexy muscles in my thighs. Unfortunately I have a wrinkle fold under my neck where I lost my second chin, LOL.

I love all of these... they kind of make me giggle because only someone who has been fat would notice some of these things.

I first noticed my pant length! I guess with less fluffy filling them up they got longer, same with shirt sleeves lol i thought it was awesome!

ps Batwing business isn't necessarily forever, mine was awful but lessened by a LOT (like 60% better!) over about 18 months! don't give up hope!

When I lay on my side, there's less padding in my thighs so I have to stuff a pillow in between bony knees to be comfortable.

My panties are baggy.......

I hurried off and bought a new pair of pants when I went down a size, but I never even considered that which went under them LOL

Baggy panties are the WORST!

I also lost a full shoe size and all of a sudden have collarbones and I'm kind of not a fan of them which is a weird thing to pick on yourself about but it is what it is.

I love this thread, I've personally noticed that my ankles are becoming more defined! hopefully the doctors won't mistake them for being swollen, anymore! lol
