Okay back on board....trying to lose my last 20!! I've combed inspiration and motivation on the net the last few days, esp after my pumpkin pie caramel frozen custard and double bacon cheese burger. Just got to get it done, I search and I find nothing but me is stopping this process. I've got to mentally get out of my own way.

Well, there goes some of the water weight from this weekend! I missed 2 gym days due to the storm on Monday and making a work-related delivery yesterday, but my gym bag is in the car and waiting to be used!

Sue: I'm trying to not buy Halloween candy this year. I try to kid myself that we'll have trick-or-treaters, but in reality I live up a quarter mile driveway in the woods. All the town kids go on the street they block off from vehicular traffic in the center of town. I still want the candy!

Smith: that recipe sounds like it might be dangerous to have around! I had a few bad days after I started making my own buttercream icing. I can't keep 10x sugar in my house anymore!

Dentist today, which messes up my morning routine. I'll be going into work late...may skip lunch... I need to get my act together and make breakfast at home and grab something I can eat at my desk. I hate days like this...and the dentist!

I love butter cream frosting! Sugar cookie heaven with a nice thick coat of it! I finally talked my boss into a low carb diet....getting a little easier at work now days. I did almost 10 hours at work yesterday, didn't feel like running but managed a mile walk/jog and some ab exercises.

managed to detour away from the cheesecake factory and the frozen custard shop but managed to order Hawaiian pizza last night....my body totally rejected it! I'm still hanging out at 168.5

I have been eating those quick atkin bars in the morning at work and I found they spiked my blood sugar...I guess I'm the lucky 5% that happens to. Blah, now to try to find something else.

I tried spaghetti squash last night for the first time. I'm not too fussed with real pasta, and the squash did nothing, except fill me up. But, since I'm trying to look at food as fuel, instead of 'The Best Thing In The World', I think I'll take it as a win :D . Also, struggling with candy cravings this weekend. Think I'm going to head to the gym, so even if I give in, I'm still having a good day.

Don't get dicouraged when u go up and down us females retain a lot of fluid and weight varys depending on time of day or day of the month. U can catch these patterns if u weigh at the same time everyday and keep very good records. Then when u see the up and down u can tell when its the real weight coming off and not water giving u false happiness because u get just as sad when it goes back up. Wish everyone luck and hope u reach ur goal.

Susan, sorry you're feeling ill. Hope you're better soon. We're all fighting various viruses here, so far I've been ok.

I'm very pleased the scale moved today, I've been hitting it hard all week because we are on vacation next week. And we've changed our plans and instead of being in a house (where I can cook and shop and control the food) instead we're going to an all-inclusive resort which will be very relaxing (they even have babysitters) but food will be theirs. I've decided to do induction level and count count count while I'm there, and to remember that I'm not going there for the food. Plus whatever might look tempting will no doubt be a cheap version and won't be excellent, so I'll pass.

Was so upset with myself last night... On my drive home from, I started to feel a migraine coming on. When I got home, I took some meds and then climbed into bed and slept until about 9:15 pm. I was hungry when I got up and my boyfriend, trying to be supportive, made a frozen pizza for us to share and brought me root beer. The frozen pizza was fine and I knew I could work it into my plan, but the root beer? Somehow I bought regular soda! I haven't drank regular soda in about 20 years! I knew it tasted funny, but it was store brand, so I shrugged it off...but, I had 2 cans....I was so upset that I had drank that much sugar. My boyfriend just didn't get what my problem was.

So, I've got to be strictly on plan this weekend and I'm going to make sure I get a good amount of gym time I.

Staja, I think your update is very encouraging. Think back to before Atkins and you'd have eaten like that all the time, and had extra sugar without thinking about it. The fact that you're here pointing it out so quickly and with a plan to focus tightly this weekend is a real testimony to how you are making the switch to lifestyle - so bravo! A lifestyle has to be real-world tested, and allow for migraines, mix ups with sugar-free vs regular, and other real-life snafus that come up - so I think you did great!

Sue and Sarah: thank you for the kind words! I've been doing this long enough that I should know not to beat myself up over a slip-up...and I generally don't if it's something I consciously decided to do, however it's good to be reminded from time to time!

We're going to try and make it to the Keene PumpkinFest today. Should be fun, and supposedly healthy food can be found. If not, then at least I've gone to the gym yeserday, today, and tomorrow, and I'll be sure to drink a ton of water!

Wahoo for weekend water weight! And, did an Insanity class at the gym yesterday. My legs hurt so bad last night, I was up pretty much all night. I don't think the program was for me. Also, my gym was trying to sell me the Insanity DVDs...and **********...which pissed me off to no end. I already pay the gym way more money than it's worth...

Didn't make it to the gym last night, because Advil couldn't even touch the aches in my legs from the stupid Insanity class on Sunday. This morning is still a struggle, but I'm going to force myself to go and do strength training (and spend some time on the bike, if the elliptical is too painful). So I binged last night....I had planned on (and tracked ) a burger last night. The boyfriend decided he wasn't hungry at dinner time (and he's the one that grills) so didn't make them. I then took that as carte Blanche to eat about half the stuff in my cabinet/freezer. I did track everything (I use MFP to keep myself accountable) and it wasn't as bad as it *could* have been...but it wasn't pretty either. Am I mentally sabotaging myself? Anyway, back at it today.
