I started here last month
been at a plateau since Feb at a 50 lb loss

I'm using myfitpal to calorie count and it seems to be spot on. I had a 4500 cal deficit and so I lost just over a pound.

I had the largest loss I've ever experienced this week but it was my first week and I'm guessing this is water weight. Achieved by reducing carbs significantly and exercising. Regardless, it's motivating me to keep going.

I weigh almost daily but have only been recording monthly. Maybe being accountable to my other 40 somethings on a weekly basis will help. I remember when I was younger 15-20lb loss in a month was nothing. At 48 I celebrate an 8lb loss. I look at old young pics of me and realize I dieted myself fat.

I have been hitting the gym 4x a week which include lifting weights with the big boys and girls and 20-25 mins on either the life cycle or treadmill. Will a goal to walk or ride a little further in that time limit every week. :carrot:

It's really not as bad as I'd feared after the whole Christmas and birthday party-craziness. And my weight has actually held steady for almost 2 years. It's stayed between 175-182, regardless. I'm fortunate that I've gotten away with not getting back to my highest weight ever (195.)

I'm hoping for 170 in the spring, and I've got plenty of time.

Weight is up, I ended up being sicker than I thought I was. 3rd round of antibiotics for pneumonia & I just want to get better. Food has pretty much been crap because I haven't felt good enough to cook or anything else.

I weigh weekly, and plan to just keep adding to the record of weigh-ins (the history) so I can see where I've come from and the trend.

Eating good, burning on average of 400 calories more than I eat. 2 weeks of awful results. Took inches today 34.5/37.5/45 maybe I will see results there. Still on track but certain ready to say eff it.

Hmmm... Now it's my turn to be disappointed. I worked out *and* went for 45min-1hr walk EVERY DAY THIS WEEK. It looks like I lost a pound but that's because I'm converting from kilos and then rounding off. In reality I lost 200g. I know it will go down eventually, but I want it to go down NOW.

Was feeling discouraged and frustrated because I was stuck at 235 for *7* days... but finally woke this morning to 233 :). Got on and off the scale 3 times to be certain :)

This makes a total of 20 since 1/14 for me so I am excited!!

I am buying myself a pair of fancy socks and taking another 10 lbs of food to the food pantry.

And my jeans are getting to be too big :)

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a group to help keep my motivation up while I once again jump on the wagon. Been over 8 years since I really cared about my body and I have crept back up to my heaviest weight - 230lbs - YIKES! I am only 5' 2" so that is way too much to be carrying around. I am feeling older, looking older and am seeing my little girl pick up my bad habits. My son is a stick and can eat whatever and she doesn't understand why she cannot do the same. Welcome to womanhood right?? lol. Anyway, I hope you don't mind me jumping in here.

The same 300 grams I gained from Feb 25 to Mar 4 I have now lost again. Not enough to make a difference on the scale. Getting a bit bummed, here. Went c25king 3 times last week, lifted weights, went walkies, was just generally busy running around doing stuff and ate (I thought!) okay. What gives? :?:

I am feeling very focused lately. Doing my stair machine 30 mins daily, faithfully. I also have made slight goal adjustment. NSV-be able to wear jeans on my hips with no muffin top. Weight goal: 115 (this has changed many times in 4 yrs).

Today I was 136.0 Weigh-ins will ordinarily be on Tuesdays for me, so I will weigh in again tomorrow morning for the "official" value. Last Tuesday's was 134.4.
