I did 2 miles this morning. I used the 4 Mile Power Walk dvd and did the 2 Mile Classic Walk.

Hey Gang :wave:

I did 3 miles this morning :cheer:

I got up at 4:45 am bec I wanted to do my new Walk to the Hits: Radio Remixes. It is a 3 continuous miles, with a marker that just comes up at the end of each mile. At the menu screen you can choose which mile you want to do and it takes you there, if I only had time for 1 or 2 miles, and it has the options to Play it normal, or to Play it with just the music (without hearing Leslie).

I did all 3 miles and loved it! Leslie called it a "Walk Party" :) Bec of the music it feels a little dancy to me but I actually love that!!! it made me want to dance :cheer: It was fun and went by fast and I was sweating. A lot of the music has a latin/salsa sound. The 4 songs that played with singing were listed at the end so I can tell you the names (otherwise I would not have known the names LOL)

I could probably hear the music in this one better than ever before, but again, it's more about the beat then anything.

Just wanted to comment that I really like it, but will say, that I like all of Leslie's new stuff and actually, I like most of her stuff! the only thing I gave away was the Eat, Walk, Lose dvds... I guess I just found them boring or a little slow.

Hey Carol - I have it and I like it. I like the workout and the music on this one! when I am doing 2 or 3 miles I prefer for all of those to be walking miles rather than the strength training ones so I end up doing those miles. what do you think of it?

I didn't get in a walk this morning. I fixed a big breakfast for my guys instead... they were happy :)

I was a bit annoyed that they used obvious workout models mixed in with the "real" ladies for this one... One of the things I have always liked about Leslie's workouts is that they are entirely doable by real folks. Anyway...

Two couples are in it and one is her brother and wife and one another friend and her husband. 2 of the ladies are rather big gals but I think they are walk leaders. Most of them seem pretty normal.

I did 3 miles this morning - but I forgot the name of it exactly. It was the newest one I bought with 4 miles. I'm getting these names quite confused if I'm not home to type it with it in front of me.

Yes, it is very stressful. After saying she was doing better than expected, I learned tonight that she is now not eating and is refusing her breathing treatments and won't wear her Bipap mask. Apparently they think she is capable of making these decisions. My husband is her healthcare proxy and may have to make some tough decisions here in the near future. Bad deal all around. She is bedridden and has always been over 300 lbs., which doesn't help her situation at all.

Also found out that my husband must work, but not get paid, at his job until the government shutdown is resolved. He works at an Air Force base. I'm just sick about it.

I like them when I use the gloves. But without the gloves I don't like the feeling on my hands. I started with the bands with the first DVDs I started with in July but then when I started doing that DVD with the weights I decided I like the weights more. I am wanting some progress on my jiggly arms! So I keep trying to increase the arm movements.

As I typed that I realize, it's so ridiculous to worry about my arms - when the whole of me was so overweight! Now that I am fitting in my clothes and feeling good, I'm going to obsess over arms? Silly me. I'm going to just be happy my clothes are fitting and keep working on getting healthy with exercise a day at a time. The arms will come if I keep on exercising.

Today is my day off though, so no walking today for me.

Annie- You will get there. You might stall a week or so but just keep with it and then you will get under the 160 mark. I want to get under the 170 mark myself! But this week it isn't going to happen for me with lots of stuff going on.

Sorry about your husband's job. So unfair and frustrating.

Think I'm going to skip my second workout. My dh and a friend installed a new double oven and there was sawdust everywhere. It's beautiful! Had a lot of cleaning up and now I'm tired.

I just noticed that both walk it off and tone it up and walk slim, 5 really big miles are each 5 miles but the first is an hour and ten min. while the 2nd is an hour and 28 min. Quite a difference.

So I had a crazy Monday and decided I shouldn't get up my usual 4:30 to walk. So I slept till 5:40! Then when I got home in the mail was the new remix DVD. So I did it , three Miles

Idk. I have mixed feelings on it. I didn't like those HITT things all that much. It wasn't the high intensity I minded it was the two minutes of cooling down before. It just didn't seem intense enough. In the middle of the workout in four places we do easy walks, wee side steps, etc. just felt strange like it wasn't intense enough. Then it's only 30 or 40 seconds of high intensity. Well I didn't like the DVD with the weights the first time I did it and now it is my favorite so I know I have to give it some more tries.

The music was good though. The walkers were a little distracting because they dance when they walk. But it was still fun.

I would say it really depends on how many calories go in. I've lost a lot and quickly, at least for me it was quick, doing the walks six days a week and using my Fitness Pal.

Almost a mile outdoor walk. My granddaughter was behind me on a pony and I went around a corner. She turned around and went back and I didn't hear or see her. An outdoor walk is harder because I have peripheral nueropathy and have trouble with balance. It's a gravel road and very hilly.

Oh my goodness, that sounds scary - that your granddaughter left you. I would have jogged back! A pony -- how adorable!

Had trouble getting dressed today for work, everything is too loose! 3 months ago there was nothing to wear because everything was too tight. So thankful for finding Leslie! That's what has made the difference for me.

Most of my clothes are too big or too small. Not many fit these days LOL. I've lost 59 lbs since the end of May. Haven't been walking with Leslie the whole time though.
Did almost 2 miles today. Got tired and stopped LOL

I think adding the walking will even make it better. Same with me on the clothes. I pulled down some smaller clothes from the top of the closet and they are too tight to wear, yet everything else is too big. No complaints though, nothing but thankful!

Today I did 3 Mega miles with the stretchy band. I have not done this in about a month because I've even doing the Sculpt Your Body DVD and others. I thought this would be really easy because I'm so used to doing weights. Wrong! It was tough and the bands were more intense than I remember. A lesson to me to keep mixing them up!

I did 2 miles this morning. I used the 5 Mega Miles.

I had to skip yesterday bec I had a dr appt. I had a complete hysterectomy in Nov last year and have been having some issues. went to the dr to see what's going on and she says I have a herinated bladder (cystocele), which could be from lifting/straining or from lack of estrogen or just from whatever. she wants me to do physical therapy for a month or 2 to see if that helps. a last resort would be another surgery, which I don't want to do.

I have no idea how in the world physical therapy will help this but I'll give anything a try. as far as I know I can continue doing everything I'm doing except for knee lifts, which I haven't been doing for a few weeks bec I could tell it didn't feel right to do that.

sooooooooooooo it's never a dull moment... you know, I don't ever feel my age, until things like this come up and then I think... it's the PITS getting old;)

Got to bed early so was able to do my normal 4:30 wake up! Feel great after a good nights sleep! Did the 3 mile sculpt upper body DVD with 1,2,3 weights. Happy Friday!

I was going to do the 3 mile Burn Body Fat & Sculpt Your Arms. Somehow I started with the one mile. The first few mins I kept thinking "why is this different"? Then I realized what I had done so I finished it and then did the two mile. It was basically the same thing but it was a nice change. In the three mile there is 8 mins without weights. There was only a couple mins without weights with doing the 1 and 2.

Monday, 2nd quarter starts at school! I love qtr 2 bc it flies by!

hah, that's funny. the miles dvd did an unconscious swap on ya. it sounds like you had a good workout nonetheless. :D

I wonder why that is?

I think because of Thanksgiving, then I have a couple field trips and then last week of the quarter is exams. So no classes, just exams. Also you get so busy at home with planning for the holidays that you don't have any time to breathe. I'm start teaching a new class at the local college Wednesday this week. These are eight week classes so it will be quite busy! But all is good!

Yes, I do now. Took me a couple tries to like it. I like some of the music in it and find myself singing those songs through out the day. What I don't like is there is about 5 times where we bounce or jump up and down. I'm not much on bouncing. Usually I just jog during those. Not sure why but things just bounce to much on me when I jump and it doesn't happen when I jog. :o

I am going to get the new one coming out in Dec that also has that type of music.

I still find that HIIT thing odd but she says we will notice a big difference after a few times, it makes you get fit. I don't know about that but I enjoy the DVD.

Letsgetaway - yes on the Walk it Off in 30 Days, the walk is 30 minutes, 2 miles. and then there is a 30 minute strength session.

I still LOVE the Remix dvd and have the new one ordered called Walk to the Hits, Party Songs that comes out December 17.

on the bouncing parts, I just bounce lightly. I don't need anything else falling further ;)

I had another one of those days where I got up and thought, I don't feel like doing this. But I started and it was only about 5 minutes in when I started feeling much better and then by the end felt great.
You know how some of the DVDs have an option to only play music? I don't think that would work for me. I need her motivating tips along the way to make me feel good.

I just did the one mile from the Burn Body Fat & Sculpt Your Arms. I used 3 pounds. I thought I might do the non weight DVDs in the morning and try to do a one mile when I get home. We shall see!
Although so many nights I have something to do.

Going to buy my Halloween candy on the way home on Thursday. We have quite a few kids in my neighborhood. This will prevent DH from eating it all. .... And me too!
