Woo, THAT is the real goal. Not just losing, because that is only half of the battle. The WAR is won in maintaining.

That's terrific! Maintenance is often where the battle is lost...so two years is a great result. Keep up the good work!

Congratulation! This is so inspirational to hear. Any words of wisdom for those of us new to maintaining?

As far as maintaining, I am a Lifetime Weight Watcher. I still go weigh in every week, have not missed one in 2 years! I still track my food, I still workout!

I do allow a bit more wiggle room some times, but I learned, I can't get cocky!

The norm for me is I have to always keep good habits in mind. It's ok to have some wedding cake, or a drink with the girls, but, I have to keep in mind I can't do it repeatedly, with abandon!

In the case of weddings, family reunions, etc. portion control is key.

I have found that if I keep to plan during the week, small portions on the weekends are ok, but I need to be mindful, and make sure I really, really want that ONE thing. I tend to limit it to ONE thing. If there isn't anything that spectacular, I take small portions of a few things and move on. Leaning towards food that I can actually identify.

I also continue to workout, it varies, my preference is strength and power training, I like it, and it helps me with my job at the veterinary hospital and around the farm. Although I do some suspension training, some yoga, just different, and I do participate in 5k's sponsored by my gym. I'm not real fast, but I always finish, and get a t-shirt!:D

Now we get to the garden! Working on a dehydrated, veggie trail mix. A new experiment with food. It will be totally home grown, no additives or preservatives. I find, I need new challenges to keep things interesting. We'll see how the trail mix goes!:dizzy:;)
