Well, maybe with the arm work, it isn't going at a fast rate. By pace though, (4 mph), the 3 mile is only off by about 4 min. Maybe that includes the cool down, stretch or arm work??

I know! It's just 3 minutes less but it seems like it goes by so much faster. But then again if you do 3 miles that's almost ten minutes.

Alright gang. Time to come clean. With everything that's been going on lately, I am WAY up on the scale. An all-time high since my weight loss. I MUST get serious and will post tomorrow's weight as my current. This really sucks and I am very frustrated, but I know I can get it down. Thinking I may have to REALLY cut back on calories. I think menopause may be adding to the weight gain, but can't blame it all on that.

So I did the 1 Mile Burn Body Fat w/ 1 then 3 pound weights this morning.

Done the same thing 150 times. But you are still checking in and exercising. That's huge. I would just disappear and gain more than my original weight, then come back a year later. :o It looks like you were very close to your goal. That's when I usually have trouble too because you feel so much better and confident. It is so frustrating!!!

This am I did 4 mile super challenge on the WATP ultimate collection. It was motivating with the th Inge she said but mile 1 and 4 seemed slow after I've gotten my self used to the 12 min miles. But I just love how she says things to make me feel good about getting healthy!

Sometimes, I turn off the DVD and watch the news and do my own cool down and stretch. Usually 3-5 minutes is a good cool down time.

Oh, and I am updating my ticker to reflect the weight I have put on over the last couple of months. Hopefully it will motivate me to stay on plan and get that number down.

Three Mega Miles. I really want to work on my jiggly arms so I've been doing any of the DVDs with bands or weights every other day. I'm wondering if I can just do it every day. I've heard you should do weights every other day so your arms can rest but its not like I'm sore afterwards. I guess I was the first few weeks but not anymore. Then again I love the DVDs with no bands!

Hey ladies! I did pickup the new 5 Day walk and some 5 pound dumbells this weekend. I tried the arms portion of the workout yesterday. Honestly, I wonder if it is long enough or varied enough to be of much value? Just barely over 3 minutes long. I imagine that it, combined with the other toning segments would make for a good allover toning workout. Haven't tried any of the walks yet as I went to bed late last night AND forgot to set my alarm!!

Yes, they are so confusing. The only way I can figure out what to buy is by reading about it on Amazon and checking the date there.
Came home to a house full of poop. My dog had an issue apparently. Luckily it was all in the kitchen. So now my floors are all clean! And I maybe walked 1/2 mile mopping it over and over being very paranoid that I would leave a drop.
He seems fine now. Dinner time, bleh. :barf:

That's crazy!!

I've been sick with the flu or a stomach virus. It hit me yesterday morning when I was doing the two mile walk on my new five day DVD. I probably did 1.5 miles. Stayed home from work yesterday and should have stayed home today but didn't. I think I'm feeling a tad better this evening. Even though I haven't been able to eat a whole lot I doubt I'll see any loss as I feel like my stomach is really bloated.

Just a check-in with you gals. No exercise today. Feeling better, but not 100%. Still having really bad stomach cramping every now and then. I may try to go for it in the morning, but I'm not pushing it. After all the setbacks, I know I'll get back in my routine. I just have to let myself have time but not keep falling back on that.

annie - i'm so sorry you're not 100%. I hope you get to feeling better soon!

I've honestly had a rough week gang. I've been having trouble sleeping and not getting to sleep until 3 am and then I wake up with a headache and nauseated. i really think it's my hormones but I'm trying to push thru it. of course, with all of that and not exercising I feel like a slug ....

but I did sleep better last night and made myself get up at 5:00 and walked 2 miles. I used the Walk it Off in 30 Days dvd.

tomorrow I'll be cleaning house and that will be my exercise for the day ;)

It's only the second time I've used this DVD. First time I didn't like it much but today I did. She uses 1,2 & 3 # weights. I used 1 and 2. Never got in extra work outs yesterday but maybe today!

I did one mile from the 5 Day walk I got a couple weeks back. I'm not sure I like this DVD. The music is the same thing over and over. Each walk has a break between warm up, mile 1, mile 2, etc. that just interrrupts the flow.

that "super walks deluxe kit" at collagevideo looks like a collaboration of some old walks - i see the "walk, eat, lose" dvd that QVC sold and came with those booster cables with handles. at least that's what i'm seeing in the clip... i will have to look at it closer to be sure. i know it says "all new 12 miles of super walks" but i'm thinking this is a "all new collaboration" not necessarily "12 new miles" (btw, i really dislike when they do that!!!) anyway, i hope i'm wrong.... would realy LOVE 12 new miles.

i do have the Walk to the Hits Radio Remixes coming October 1 from amazon so i'll be glad to get that one. i really like the new stuff.

I took today off since Thursday is my really long day, I sleep in until 5:30, :D

I was shocked to see I lost a pound this am. What the heck? Two weeks of nothing and this week 2.5. I think it could be because I'm doing the DVD with the weights. I really sweat with that one but no very much with my others.

When I was at Walmart last night looking for new weights they had a DVD I hadn't seen. Walk Slim, Fast & Firm! 4 Really Big Miles. Featuring Hit Music.

On the back it says "Leslie boldly says this is her best walk ever."

I wanted to try it today but I always wanted to try out my new weights! I have had amazing results with the DVD I've been addicted to the last week (as far as weight loss), so I did my usual.

Tomorrow is not a regular school day. No kids, an in-service -- a day for an "expert", who hasn't taught in 30 years, to teach us ways to teach, that may or may not work. Oops, sorry, don't mean to be negative. :o Sometimes, there is actually one or two useful tidbits.

Anyway, the good news is I don't have to be there as early :D ... so I can get up at my usual time and will have time to do the whole 56 minutes of the new DVD so I'll let you know. It will be good to rest the weights after increasing them anyway.

It was pretty good. I really sweated on this one, which I usually don't much on the others. The 3rd mile had a boost in the beginning and end which was different. Mile four was slow after the fast 3 miles. I noticed after three the clock said 37 minutes which is the fastest I've seen so far. In mile two, Mary led the walking for a lot of it. I wouldn't say this is hit music. The first song was a hit, can't remember now but I think it was New Attitude. But nothing else seemed new or a hit. Not that I have a clue of any hits unless they were from the 70s and 80s, maybe 90s. But I don't really care about the songs anyway, more about the beat and exercise.

I had a terrible time sleeping last night!! I rarely have bad dreams after watching a scary or suspenseful movie, but I sure did last night after watching World War Z with my son!! did the Get Up And Get Started one mile from the 5 Day walk. Used 2# weights. Goal for the week is to walk every morning, at least on the weekdays.

CalCounter - I like the 4 Really Big Miles... it's been out awhile...like 2007 I think! I need to pull that one out and do it too! I'm with you - I'm more into the beat and the exercise then the songs.... but hey, i'm always glad if there is a great song in there too! I'm hoping I can hear the music in the new one coming out next week!

Annie - that movie must have been scary! it doesn't take much for me to have bad dreams if a movie bothers me... it's like that stuff stays on my mind :(

i got up extra early this morning and did 3 miles :cp: I used the Walk Slim 5 Really Big Miles.

i have a haircut early tomorrow morning, so i won't have time to walk, but i'll hope to see you on friday!

Just a few short hours and I will be doing it again! Amazing how good it makes you feel to exercise. Of course, I've heard that for many years. Just didn't believe it.

I am taking tomorrow off and going to visit my daughter in New York city. So no Leslie for 3 days, but at least I will be walking in the city. Of course, I will be eating more though!

Had a great time in New York. Did a lot of walking .... And eating! Scale says I'm up two pounds but I'm sure it will come right off this week.

CalCounter - so glad you had a good time in New York! that sounds like it would be great fun! i see you live in Florida...was it much cooler in New York? i'm in Louisiana so it's still hot and humid but the mornings are a little cooler.... fall is on the way :)

I did 2 miles this morning! I used the 30 Days to Walk it Off with 2 lb handweights. the new Radio Remixes should be here sometime tomorrow :cp:

The weather was great in New York! No humidity! It has been so humid and it won't let up another month down here. I was cold and had to wear a light sweater and jacket, but wasn't complaining!
