I'm at work right now and I have access to urine test strips. I decided to test it out. The ketone strip turned dark dark purple which was an indicator for large amounts of ketones in my urine. I know these test strips are not official indicators of ketosis but I'm most likely in it

In other news, this afternoon is WI #2! I know I'm down a few more lbs because I've been weighing myself on my scale.

Morning all. The dog decided this morning that she wanted out at 5:30. That's an our before we normally get up. I don't know what her deal is but it's getting aggravating! I have to have to get my daughter to school by 8 so I guess this gives me quiet time. I'm a little resentful of my partner who sleeps thru everything tho. Why can't I sleep like that?!? Sleep is my favorite pastime!

Hi all. I am feeling a little blue today. It is rainy and yucky out and this is my craziest week at work. My husband was also cranky last night and I can't help but being cranky when he is. I am very receptive to other peoples moods, its so annoying. However I stayed OP yesterday even going out to dinner. The waitress was awesome and scrounged me up some ACV from the back. I also go a package from amazon yesterday with a sprial sliver (zucchini pasta to be made!) walden farms caramel syrup (any ideas people?) and my Braggs ACV, anyone else using that along with IP?

Morning all,

Quick check-in from me. I've been a little bummed about not losing more weight, but realized last night that I've lost 12lbs in 4 weeks! Uhmm, Hello self!!! That's 3lbs/week!! DUH!!! I should not be bummed about that! I'm using it as motivation to keep going, and keep working hard, and for me? This is HARD work!!

Hope everyone else is having a great day!

Are we allowed Advil on P1? Having some serious menstrual cramps right now and don't think I will be able to make it through work without some relief.

I'm sure you can have Advil. My coach never mentioned limiting. When I had the ketosis flu I was using it with no side effects

I've always taken Advil for my cramps...never noticed a problem on IP.

WI this morning- up 1 lb. But I know I'm doing everything right so I guess it's a delayed reaction to TOM since last week I lost 3.5 in spite of TOM. I will stay the course and I'll prolly see a drop in the next couple of days.

I have been sharing my experiences with my friend and she decided to try cutting carbs without the packaged foods. She has lost 5 lbs since Friday! I'm so happy for her! I really believe that low carb is the way to go whether following IP or not!

I hope everyone has a great day! I rode my motorcycle to work this morning and the ride was beautiful!

Good morning all! I have a NSV to share with all of you

When I started this journey, I was comfortably in a size 18 work pants (to be specific, Kohl's, Apt 9, Curvy fit - they're awesome!). About 5 weeks in, I downsized to a 16 because I was swimming in my pants. Well, I have been waiting as long as possible to buy the 14's, and this weekend I finally caved, went back to Kohls, and to my surprise.... I'm a 12! I completely skipped the size 14's and jumped right into the 12's. Granted, they're a little snug, but in another week or so they will fit comfortably. It would have been a waste of money to buy the 14's with how quickly I am dropping sizes.

I hope others have had the same experience. It's great! I hope you all have a great day!!

Default Morning from Newbie (Day 1)

Good morning everyone..... today is Day#1 for me. I looked at everyone's threads yesterday for 3 hours getting all the specifics so I can do this the right way. I went and purchased a few things since I am going to the alternative route since finances got the best of me. This is my meal plan for today that I hope to stick to. Please take a look and let me know if I'm heading in the right direction.

Breakfast - 2 Egg whites and a shake
Lunch - 2cups of vegetables and 4oz of protein
Snack - Protein bar
Dinner - 4oz protein and 2 cups of vegetables
Snack - Shake
Water daily- 90 ounces

One last thing someone may be able to help me out with.... what numbers am I watching? Like dont go over how many carbs or sugars a day? That part I am clueless.

Thanks everyone for their knowledge!!! It had helped me tremendously.

Michelle
