Cool Tiny Victory

Hi all,

Haven't been on 3FC for a while but yesterday I thought of you guys after I had a little victory over my usual habits. It's so small but actually a really big thing for me which I think lots of people on here can relate to!

So, here it is:

My other half went out to the shop and came back with a surprise kitkat chunky. I was already pretty much at my calorie limit for the day but usually I wouldn't be able to resist this kind of temptation and then I'd feel annoyed at myself for it afterwards. However, I actually thought about it then actually put it out the fridge to save for a day when I could properly factor it in and use it as a real treat.

This is really big for me as it's something I've pretty much never been able to di before - even when I've been going through periods of being quite good about my food in general.

So that's it, just thought I'd share my little victory over my own head.

Any more out there?

Great job resisting temptation. You should be proud! I'm able to resist fast food and other high calorie foods now, much more aware of what I eat now than before. It's the over indulging in the small stuff that still gets me.

That's a huge victory Jynx! It is moments just like that, those small daily wins, that add up over time to successfully controlling your diet in the long run! You should feel so proud of yourself! Congrats!

Great job! I know for me those types of temptations are way tough! It can be difficult to stay away from the expected but unexpected can throw me for a loop sometimes. You had a victory! Well done!

Yay, go you! I feel you on how hard it is to resist temptation, it's great you were able to do it. I bet next time it will be even easier!

That is definitely a huge victory. I went through the same thing yesterday. All I could think of was devouring a whole pizza by myself (TOM just around the corner) but I ate well, I drank my water and I made it through the day. In the past I would have ordered the pizza with the thought of "one day won't kill me" and then one days would turn into a month of bad eating. I was really proud of myself. So, your victory is a great one!!
