Here are the rules. The fastest to shed 2 % of their body weight wins. To calculate 2 % just multiply .02 with your body weight and round off to the nearest .2 lbs.

A 5.2 lbs loss is right, levoquette, since 5.292 is closer to 5.2 than 5.4.

Matisse, uh oh I was not aware of the significance of the ninja monkey. He just looked like he was squatting. Now I'm afraid.

The goal is weird, but I can explain. A friend asked me to do a mud run with her. It'll be a 5k with mud and obstacles for those who don't know. So seeing that I was old, overweight and became winded just walking to the mailbox, I of course said yes.

So we are planning on doing one in October 2014 which gives me a little over a year to lose weight, get in shape, and learn to run. Squats were the only exercise I could do 10 of so I decided that to show myself I could do this I would work on them first until I could do 100 in a row. I can currently do 100 divided into sets, but I'm still working on the in a row part.

mountain mama, I'm going to cross my fingers for you too. Can never have too many crossed fingers!

Thank you everyone! I am so proud. It just shows that a girl losing nothing for three weeks can whoosh to victory.

After losing for six consecutive days, I have a small gain this morning. To be expected.

Finally, my weight is down past 264 again! Last week I was down to 263.4 then shot up to 265 again, so I'm happy to see that it went back down. Hopefully it actually stays this time and continues its way down.

The ninja monkeys are in my scale and now my car, missed yoga class because my car has been taken over by the ninja monkeys! Curses! Monday my car should be fixed, So til then... im gong to keep eating healthy and ride my bike and walk and do some p90x even though i hate p 90x lol

I had a 2 lb drop since yesterday. Finally got back to and passed my weight on the 16th (255.2) before water/sodium gain happened. I don't think I will be playing in this challenge for the win since I dropped so fast and it wasn't true fat losses, which wouldn't be fair. I will add my weights just for fun. I'm praying I hang on to these numbers and/or drop some more today.

Only Believe, I have no problem with you going for the win. You're still working your program. And that water/sodium gain sure counted against you when you gained it, so why not when you lose it?

You and me both! Yesterday was my free day and I went out with colleagues for fancy drinks and indian food. I ate just as much as everyone, which was a lot, but after five weeks of dieting, I felt uncomfortable and crampy. My stomach has downsized and this morning it was growling like a mad dog. :moo:

I have been doing 45 everyother day... and its tough trying to get LOWWWWWW and to try and keep the back straight.. but it is nice to see alittle curve happening in the derrier :)

wannaskipandlaugh, I have a really flat but so it was great for me to notice a nice round shape after about 3 weeks. Currently I'm up to around 100 squats broken into smaller sets 3 times a week.

I saw documentaries recently which said that losing as little as 2 % of body weight, if you are in the overweight category, makes a huge difference healthwise, so I keep reminding myself that these challenges makes me healthier if I achieve the goal challenge.

Sum, I think there can sometimes be a delay in our results. It is one of many reasons losing weight is so hard (delayed consequences aren't good for behavior modification). And sometimes our bodies/weight is just playing with us. Just hold on. It will happen.

Finally going down! I don't know how- I upped my calories and didn't make the best choices- could have been worse though.
I was lazy all weekend to boot.

I'm thinking maybe I was over doing it- I was exhausted last week, and had been eating about 1500 cals. I think for my weight , this wasn't enough. I averaged 1800-2000 this weekend and lost. Upping my cals this week and hoping it helps.

Wow sue! I'm glad the scale is finally cooperating with you! I've been going through same scale craziness as you lately, so glad we are both going in the right direction!

I'm starting to realize that as long as I'm making the right choices each day, the scale will EVENTUALLY cooperate- as frustrating as it can be.

It's a pretty close race everyone- I'm proud of all of us!

My weight loss is doing well. I must admit; this is mostly bloat that I am dropping :o. I was 153 lbs on August 6th, and then I went little nutz with my eating and scale jumped 10 pounds....atleast I got back on that horse.
