I am a newbie. I have been on IP since July 25, 2013 (so almost 3 weeks). I started at 143 lbs, and now I am around 134 lbs. I haven't been in the 130s since my wedding and that was when I was dieting and working out 2-3x/day. Yeah, I went a little overboard. So, I am thrilled at how easy this diet is. I have always been active (going to the gym and running). I am doing it still but taking it down a notch.
My daughter just turned one about a week and a half ago. I just decided to try this diet to see if I get down to a more healthier weight and lose some body fat. I have a coach but decided to stop due to expenses, and hoping to get alternative foods from Nashua. However, I am thinking of getting pregnant again. So, I am not sure what to do now. I asked my coach before I left. And she told me that I will be in maintenance.
Can anyone break that down to me? Do I go straight into maintenance or go to Phase 2 for a couple of days, then Phase 3 for a couple of days and then onto to maintenance? Or should I stop IP altogether?

Welcome!
However; you should check with your own dr...and go with his/her advice instead of what a coach might say. Unless your coach IS your OB..LOL!
Best wishes...but keep in mind....this forum and the diet will be here when you are ready!!
My coach said if I were to get pregnant during Phase 1 to go immediately to Phase 3 and phase out, you are out of ketosis and it is actually a very healthy eating plan. I waited until I was 2+ months into maintenance to make sure I could be steady & maintain before we got preggers our first try! I am a little over 2 weeks until baby girl is due.

Liz...congratulations on your coming "event"...and best of luck!
Plus...you have set a stellar example for young women with life and family goals that may need to be done consecutively rather than concurrently. We are all so into multi-tasking it is good to observe someone making clear headed practical intelligent choices! Can't wait for you to announce her by name in the coming weeks!

My coach told me that if I got pregnant I could keep doing IP, but she didn't mention which phase. I didn't ask because I have an IUD so I'm not too worried about it. I agree with 65x65, ask a doctor, AKA someone who has no reason to try to sway your decision for their own gain.
