Can I start a thanksgiving challenge? I know there is a Halloween challenge going, but my birthday (23!!! Golden birthday!) is a week before thanksgiving and I'd really like to wear a hot dress for a date out with my husband! I can't be the only one who wants to impress family or something around this time! Our anniversary is also 3 days before my birthday so that's motivation for me too!

I also need more time, a long term goal to work small tern goals towards. I'm trying for 1.5lbs a week. Which would be a loss of 22.5 pounds approx. That's 15 weeks from now. If I can do 2 pounds a week, that's 30 pounds! That's almost 3 dress sizes.

I want to have a Masqurade ball for my birthday, with any gifts go to charity. Maybe play casino games too? I just think it would be so fun and I'm so motivated!

I'm in, as my 10 year high school reunion is a few days after Thanksgiving. :sorry:

I'm also in the habit of avoiding being photographed like the plague, but my nana has taken a serious turn for the worse this year, and I have the horrible suspicion that this may be the last holiday season we have with her. I only have 2 photos of us together, and one of them is from when I was 7 or 8 years old. I'd like to take some family photos this year without feeling like a whale. :(

FatSass- Mine is in September, but my fiancÚ will be doing an externship during that time so I don't know if he'll be able to go with me. His is next year and I hope to lose weight by then. I want people to say to him, "D@mn your fiancÚ is hot!" cause I know my friends say it about him, lol. :)

Up 0.6 lbs today, probably due to some mild binging yesterday and a bit too much salt. Thankfully I think it will go down after I do some strength and cardio tonight. :) I keep seeing that elusive 216 in the distance and hope I get there soon! Best of luck to the rest of you as well.

I'm coming back to 3FC so count me in. I'm going to Europe next summer to visit family for a month and I'd like to hit the beach in a two-piece instead of a one-piece. This would be a good way to kick that off.

I'd like to join this too. I just got back from a 3 week long vacation where I gained 5 pounds so I need all the help staying accountable to lose that and more. I'm hoping to reach my goal of 160 by then. I'm starting off at 173.

I know I'm late but can I join in? Thanksgiving is when I'll be seeing a lot of friends and family I haven't in a while so I would like to not just look really good but feel good and hopefully inspire them. Most of my family is overweight and a few of them have had stomach surgery, lost weight only to gain it back. I also hope I can pick up some good recipes along the way - I'm a notorious bad cook.

I must apologize, I've been bad this week. I just haven't been feeling so committed. I had a miscarriage exactly a month ago, and it's taking my body sometime to get back to feeling normal, and this week I was having a hard time with exercise.
I have found time in my schedule next week thought to start swimming which I am really excited about. If I can't seem to find time to exercise, at least 30 minutes of vigorous swimming is going to be awesome.

I've just not been on it this week and I need a little motivation.

SW-195, CW-195.- I didn't lose anything this week because I've been eating junk with fruit. Fruit is probably the only healthy thing I've had in moderation. I just wasn't motivated. Lately i haven't been enjoying healthy food as much except for fruit.

I think I really just have to try to remember why I am doing this. Not to impress anyone, but for me. To have more energy, to be healthier, so keep up with healthier friends. My career, chance at a future family, my health and life with my husband are all important factors here.
I want to be healthier over the next two years when I really go into my career field. I'm starting graduate school this week in Autism study, and it's going to be hard. But life changing at the same time. I need to have the same attitude about my weight loss. Look at it and attack it the same way I am my degree. It's going to take some time. I'm going to have to make sacrifices, but it's going to become easier and so worth it in the end!

My plan is to start packing a lunch that is healthy, going over the library 2 miles from here and doing my homework there so I have no choice but to work on my school work with my healthy lunch.
Now let's see how we did this week.

I also want to rate the winner by loss of total weight if that's okay. I could do percentages but it doesn't seem as accurate because we're not measuring inches and BMI as well. I just don't have time to calculate percentages as well...

My weight is still 186 after my mid week drop, it hasn't budged so just put me at SW 186. I had to work out less because my wrist was hurting (carpel tunnel + beginning month 2 of insanity = ow ow ow).

I'm about to be up to my ears in homework which is good - the summer has presented a lot of random meet up with people and unplanned, definitely not acceptable food choices. I do have a cheat day once a week but man this summer has really been messing with having it on set day a week. I'm glad everyone is getting ready for the school year whether for themselves or their kids, I won't have to feel bad about turning invites down when everyone is busy!

I personally need to find pictures of what I want to see and post them on my fridge and read a little more into building muscle. I don't want to be skinny, I want to kick a$$!!!

So...I'm late. I couldn't post, because I've gained three pounds. I feel positively disgusting. I haven't been this fat in ages. I remember when I lost a bunch of weight the first time, and everyone would say how much better I looked. This sucks, because I'm 20lbs away from my high. I guess I'm looking worse lately. Boo. Hoping this coming week is better.

Thanks Cheriloos. I'm alright, it's just that I feel like I need to be healthier. I don't blame it on that or anything. I just want to feel healthier before we try again.

I've been realizing I need to take things in smaller steps. I am usually an all or nothing type and I realize that has been my downfall in the past. I'm working on getting exercise to be something I don't think twice about and just enjoy. After I get to that point I'll make smaller changes in my diet and work from there. I don't have a bad bad diet, but it could be better. I just know if I do too much at once I will burnout.

My overall GW i would like it to be 140 so i know i have a journey ahead of me. The thing i have problems with is the fried food! I work at a Allsups and those potato munchers and mexi burgers are SO GOOD but i am trying to not even cook them when im there so i wont be tempted haha. Also the motivation to workout is horrible i just dont have the oomf to do it. I went to the Dr 2 weeks ago and everything is good sept my cholesterol. I also got put on birth control. Thats what made me gain alot of weight when i was younger so im hoping it doesnt happen this time.

Can I just say I could use a little support? I feel like I know I should lose weight and get in better shape but my want isn't exactly there...

Take your time with it. I am sorry to hear about the deaths and how crazy life has gotten for you. You will be able to lose weight, so just remember to breathe. One of the things I have found is that when I am stressed those stubborn pounds stick around more, and invite their friends. Either way, I am sending good thoughts your way!

I felt so awful about things last week I didn't weigh myself so I will do today and tada, I'm still 186 :tantrum:

Now, I know why that probably happened - my sister treated me to happy hour margaritas last week and then last night I went to music quizzo with my boyfriend and his coworkers and of course had a Sam Adams Octoberfest. I know better then to have sugary drinks or beer because I bloat like I have PMS. I don't drink daily and in fact, have only gone out once a week, I think the choice between keeping that up and losing weight has to be made.

I'm choosing to give up the alcohol...again. Did it before and didn't touch it for 4 years (2008-2012). I also happened to be much thinner and healthier during that time - who'da thunk it? :o

I'm an very visual and hands on so I'm making myself a chart to hang over my computer since I'm on it for school anyway. I'm going to record my weight daily, my workouts daily, and a spot to give myself advice or a motivational message for tomorrow.

My goal is to stop thinking about how mad I am at the number and myself and to think about something nice instead. I don't give myself credit for working out 5+ days a week, or choosing a healthy option when I go out to eat. No, all I can think about is why did I order a 24 oz Sam Adams last night and how much of a fattie I am for doing so. I must say I am happy that when I went grocery shopping earlier yesterday, I bought tons of veggies, including kale for the first time and found vegan split pea soup for cheap to give myself a fast healthy option.

I am also setting up a rewards schedule for the weight I loose since I never buy myself anything I want, I just pine after things, even stupid little stuff like new mascara (which I want now). I'm a master at talking myself out of buying anything. It probably helps that I don't have a lot of spending money but really, I know I'm ridiculous. For instance: after wanting it all summer, I just bought Rimmel Mattifing Powder last week because I had a coupon and it was on sale and I still think I shouldn't have spent the $3. :dizzy:

I just started grad school 2 week ago, and DH ( In the Army) just got promoted so we haven't had a lot of time together because responsibility for work has taken over.

Do you have a google doc you're using? ,if you have one ,like in other challenges people enter their own info into the chart on the link provided and then one could make a weekly report from the data.

That could workout really well actually. It would make it way easier. We are just dealing with a lot at home. DH is working a lot and tired, I just went back to work and grad school, DH just had two deaths in his family over 2 weeks so it' just crazy.

I'm still on track somewhat, it's just I don't know if I have the time to manually figure this stuff out. Let me try tonight or tomorow to create a speadsheet like you said.

Google docs should have templates, i cant figure out how to look at them t Hough, I'm on a tablet not a pc that might be the problem. But just take it easy and dont get stressed over this, if you're going through a lot then everyone will understand, I'm sure there are lots of other challenges we can all join. I'm in bunches so keep calm and stay focused on your health and family. If you can make the spreadsheet cool, if not, hey that's cool too.:hug: Main point: Dont stress
