Big time honey! I love it and when you love something and it is exercise I stay stick with it. I do 45 minutes 7 days a week on my own. I was in a program for about 3 years (indoor with a lot of seniors) and took those and added my own exercises to make my own program. I do 13 different exercises, 10 reps each/ 4times. I found that because the organized programs really cater to a lot of seniors or those who can't tax themselves in anyway that I wasn't really get a good workout from it as I should so as Emeril Legasse says, "I kicked it up a notch!". I am morbidly obese, have lost 90 lbs since January, gone down 3 sizes and started the water aerobics a month ago when our pool opened up for the season. Before that, I was walking in the mall everyday. It is good to know that someone out there finds it as enjoyable as I do!

PS: Just looked at your profile and saw you are a Navy wife. My dh is retired Navy! How great is that. As for my avatar, I thought looking at candy is better than eating it. Is your dh officer or enlisted and where are you stationed? Feel free to pm me if you like. I have a thread on support called Time for Serious Fun if you would like to join us!

Yup, I sure do. I want to bring this up to the top, because it really is helpful for those of us whose KNEES HURT!
Hi, Faye!

I do it regularly (2wce a week, followed by .5 miles of laps), and it helps.
However, it varies from instructor to instructor. We had a fill-in instructor last week, as our regular instructor took a vacation. The young lady had us using our water dumbbells out of the water and over our head (why?), and she only did a few exercises over and over (10, 8, 6, 4, 2 times doing jumping jacks). Not that I dislike jumping jacks in water, but there are so many other interestng things to do, and there are so many different things you can do with water dumbbells during the jumping jacks.

So find someone whose program you like, and work out reguarly!
