Default Quick Introduction

Hi there!

I hope that this is okay- from now on, I'll just jump in on threads instead of creating my own, but I wanted to introduce myself first.

My name is Kate and I am 27. I live in Montana and I am a teacher. I have a pretty substantial amount of weight to lose- I am shooting for around 80 pounds when it's all said and done, but right now I am just looking to get started on the right foot.

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and I have an underactive thyroid. My doctor recommended a low carb diet for weight loss, so I am low-carbing it. If any of you all have any recommendations or experience losing with PCOS, let me know. I'm a little nervous!

I'm looking forward to losing along with all of you and getting to know you!

What kind of teacher are you? That's what I'm working towards becoming, myself.

I am an elementary school teacher- I teach second grade. Love it.

Hi Kate!

Um, welcome? I actually just joined, like this is my first post. Super new to forums here but I've been a lurker here for a while! I love what a supportive community this is.

I myself do low-carb ( I don't eat wheat but I have tons of tricks and recipes!) and would love to share. If you're feeling nervous, it does seem like a big change to start eating less carbohydrates but you can totally do it!

You've definitely come to the right place!

Welcome! I do low carb as well, but on the medifast program. I'm actually just hopping back on the wagon after a two week 9 pound gain. You can do this!
