I'm curious, this is your very first post at 3FC - what prompted you to share your goal photos?

congrats on your weight loss.. I'm curious, did you set 140 as your goal? I've read that weight is considered being underweight for your height.

On the one hand, congratulations on meeting your goal. On the other hand, you are fairly underweight for your height. As long as your Dr. is on board, perhaps that's fine, but it would be a good idea to check.

Great to see another male post here. You have nice facial features that were hidden under all that weight. For example, you have high cheekbones but I wouldn't have known in the first picture.

Are you still in high school? Do people treat you differently?

Congratulations on losing but as others have said you do appear to be underweight for your height. Please do be careful and consult your doctor about a healthy weight range.

Congratulations! It looks like all of your hard work has paid off! I do have to agree that it's just important to make sure you have a realistic idea of what a healthy weight is for your age/height/activity level, etc. That's true for anyone! :)

6'2" and 140 pounds is a BMI of 18 by my calculator, just on the edge of healthy weight.

Congratulations on your weight loss!

Hey again everyone, sorry for long waitedreply. Thanks for everyones comments. I am now not losing anymore weight and trying to maintain between 140 and 150 pounds. I have also been to a doctor and they said it was ok and also gave me a nutritional pamphlet thing on healthy things I can eat and about maintaining weight.

I tried a lot of diets along this journey, atkins the keto thing, gluten free at one time and then and for most of the time I did a less restrictive diet and tried to just eat things that where healthy. What I found best for me was eating things like oatmeal, wholemeal bread, sometimes rice and lots of vegetables especially the green ones and I also ate some meat and tried to keep the meat a lean cut of beef or chicken breast or fish. I also cut my portion size down a fair bit.

I tried to cut out my junk foods like of custard, cheese and cake to help speed up the weightloss.

I wish good luck to all those trying to lose weight, it takes a lot of time and patience and my journey took a long time over and year it was hard at times not seeing results straight away but stick with it!

p.s sorry for the long post I tried to answer all the questions :)

oh and on exercise, I started off lightly and just walked the dogs 3 times a week. As I got fitter and lost weight this progressed to a few 30 min walks on my own a week and then eventually a few hour long walks.

I also went to the gym abit and got a program from the personal trainer and followed that.

Congrats on taking control of your weight at such a young age. You've set yourself up for a much healthier lifestyle as a university student, or whatever you wish to pursue. It sounds like you're on the right track. You look great!
