Share A Link To Your Diet Blog - Raiding Obesity: A Gamer's Jouney of Weight Loss

I've been working towards my weight loss for 2 months, and I had contemplated writing about my journey from a gamer's point of view. Although I'm not a huge gamer, I do play World of Warcraft, Sims, Simcity and a few other games pretty regularly.

Gamers have this stereotype of being fat and lazy, and although gaming is working its way into society, it's still got a long ways to go before it loses that stigma. Losing weight as a gamer is also very tough, because the pastime we enjoy has us sitting down for long periods of time with very little movement in between.

When I came up with the concept of my blog, I wanted to treat it like I did gaming...There's a Boss I must beat down, what strategy am I going to use? What abilities does the boss have? What is my plan of action? Every Monday I bring out my Obesity boss, and update it's health (my weight) and add a bit of spice by telling you what "moves" myself and the boss did (I go into it a bit deeper in the post named "What is Raiding Obesity?")

Every other day throughout the week, I give you my food journal for the previous day if I counted (the only time I do not count is on special occasions, and instead I will usually tell you about the special occasion instead), a Music Addition, which is a song from my playlists to help get anyone motivated to get up and move, and just about anything else I have going on. I also try to incorporate things I learn about weight loss as I go along, because hey, it's neat information! :)

I'd love any feedback on it! I know I only have about a weeks worth of posts in there, but I hope the posts are fun and interesting! I'm still working up the nerve to post an actual picture of myself, but it is on the agenda to introduce you to me, my dogs, and my life! Enjoy! :D

I'm a gamer and I don't find your blog very interesting. You don't talk about your specific experiences as a fat gamer. I see some random posts about what you are eating and that's about it.

I appreciate the feedback! My idea with my blog is to help keep myself accountable (that's why I post my food diary), but I also want it to be accessible to non-gamers as well. I'm working on a few posts that go into long sessions of gaming, and how to deal with the munchies that inevitably go with it, as well as recipes that are easy/low-cost/finger food that gamers can make for those sessions.

As a gamer, are there experiences that would be interesting? At it's core, this is a weight loss blog, so I want to keep the focus on the weight loss, but I wouldn't mind bringing more "gamer" into it. I doubt people would be interested in stories about my raid team and how they're progressing =P

All knowledge is worth having, so I appreciate any and all feedback, even if it isn't what I would like to hear. I want my blog to be interesting and informative, and the only way to get it there is to find what people like :)
