100 lb. Club - One Reason to Stay On Plan~July

I am just in shock that we are over half way through 2013! So let's do it again people, give us one (or many) reasons why you are choosing to stay on plan today!
Today my reason is that I have hit my highest weight in a very long time, and before I get all the way back down the slippery slope, I am going to reverse the trend and work my way back to healthy!

I'm leaving on Thursday for a 1 1/2 week road trip to Colorado and my mom already bought a bunch of junk food to eat in the van on the way out there. I need to stay on plan so that when I gain weight on this trip* it won't be nearly as bad and I'll be able to jump right back on the wagon and continue my weight loss journey.
*I'm sure I'll gain weight as I can't say no to junk food and I usually develop a "it's my vacation and I can eat whatever I want" attitude on vacation.
Because it's freaking ridiculous that I've been in the 160's for FOUR MONTHS.

I'm with you Ashley!
I've regained 28lbs... & I need to turn this bus back around! Time to break the cycle. What helped me lose 40lbs before... was keeping the mentality to stop eating when I was 80% full. Which then got me to start cutting my meals in half & then eating them spaced out every 2 hours, instead of a whole big meal all at once. I also cut out fast food, soda & most junk food. Which I've steadily picked back up & is the main reason I've regained weight. & my energy level has taken a nose dive. I'm so lethargic these days!
So my reason to stay OP today is, because I want to feel lighter & more energetic again!

Because I'm only 2.4 pounds away from my next mini-goal and I'm starting to see progress with my lifting program. Being able to see newly developed muscle trumps the slice (or two) of cake someone left in the break-room!

Yesterday was Day 3 of healthy eating after a 3 month hiatus and I had soup and salad planned for dinner and came home to lasagna, garlic bread, chicken, white rice, stuffed grape leaves, chocolate silk pie and an array of Mediterranean sweets. I quietly prepared my dinner and went upstairs instead of eating with the rest of my family.
I didn't give in and I survived. I can do it for 2 more days!

Because being obese has hardly done me any favours,, on the contrary it made me feel extremely self conscious, a butt of people's jokes and critiques, and unhappy because there were so many things I cldnt do and enjoy because of my weight issues!

Because I went out for a walk with friends yesterday and not only did I keep up with them, I outran them parts of the way. I wouldn't have been able to do that 30 pounds heavier. Staying on plan so I can keep on feeling awesome doing things I haven't been able to do before.
