Hey gang :wave: it's a new day, a new week and a new month...already ;)

I did 2 miles this morning. I used the Punch Up Your Walk dvd with the weighted gloves.

hope everybody has a great :running: day :wave:

I also did 30 minutes of handweights tonight

Carol - it's a 4 mile dvd that comes with the weighted gloves. each mile is marked so you can do how ever many you want or have time for. I love it... I just checked on amazon... and again its very expensive. I guess the things that aren't brand new are expensive there :( I hope you win the bootcamp one on ebay that you mentioned in the June post - you will love it!

Stayed up way too late last night, but made myself get in a 1 Mile Walk from the Burn Body Fat with 1 & 2 pound weights.

I am so excited July is here!! It always makes me just breathless because it's usually vacation month, even if we aren't going anywhere. With this week being the 4th, a 3-day week for me AND the AWESOME weather we are having (highs in mid 80s, lows in 60s....unheard of for July in Oklahoma!!), I am one happy camper!!:carrot:

Just wanted to mention that the weighted gloves don't come with the punch DVD on Leslie's site. But u could use small handweights instead. I use the gloves that came with mine bec they are easy to use like that, and hey, it makes me feel like a boxer LOL

Well, that kinda takes the bloom off the rose, now doesn't it??:D I'll keep my eyes open and see if it is available at Wal Mart, Target, etc.

Walk Slim 4 Fast Miles this morning!! :running: I set a goal to try to get rid of 3 pounds before vacation in 3 weeks. If I can keep the goodies down to a dull roar over the 4th...I might can do it!!

Hi- I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but I have been starting to work out *again* (I seem to have had some issues that mean it doesn't last long when I start) and have been doing the WATP DVDs. Or trying. For a few weeks now.
The thing is - I know I am unfit but I feel so bad that I can't even make it through a 2 mile walk without talking a break. I'm probably 20 pounds overweight. I see people posting how much they have done and I tried the 2 miles from the "Ultimate 5 day walk plan" today and barely made it through 1 mile.
I have been tested and am relatively healthy apart from depression and anxiety.
I guess I just want to know if anyone else found it hard. I am used to people who do Insanity and things and feel like a failure or that I am just lazy?

Anyway- any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

Hi, Jl20! You are not a faliure!!! When I did my first Leslie walk, I wasn't sure I'd make it through that one mile!! I don't know your age, but I was about 48 when I started and had never done any regular exercise. So I gave myself some time to get used to the one and then worked my way up SLOWLY to doing 3+ sometimes. Even now, being almost 40 pounds lighter, I'm suprised by how winded I get when doing something like walking around town on a trip or something. Just be patient. I always say to myself "At least you moved today!" or "One mile is better than none!!" Kudos to your for exercising!! And welcome!!:wel3fc:

I didn't do any exercise over the weekend. Got up this morning, got dressed in exercise clothing, took the dog out and then didn't have time even for one mile!! I'll make up for it the rest of the week!!

Thanks so much Annie. I am very happy to have found this forum and hopefully soon I will be posting more success. I am 37 and have worked out in the past quite hard but I seem to have lost that so it really helps to hear that it ms okay to start slow. I love Leslie because I know I can handle the "steps" - dance-y workouts just put me off! (I am a klutz!)

today I did 2 miles - I used the Walk Slim Fast Start 1 & 2 Mile Walk and tonight I'll do handweights.

That would be nice, Carol. As it is my vet situation is interesting. One of the partners there is the most caring and kind vet I have ever known. When he did her surgery a few years ago for breast cancer/spay, he took her home with him overnight to watch her. The other vet is the exact opposite of him....abrupt, loud, and I cannot stand when she has to see him. I usually ask specifically for the other, but this morning seemed to be an emergency and I took whoever got to her first.

She is a mini Dox, age 14, blind with cataract. Her cataract "ruptured" (I use that term for lack of the correct word) suddenly this morning and looked just awful. She had special drops there at the vet and now is on steroid eye drops at home. She cannot have any surgery for this because she did not do well with her major breast cancer surgery and the kind vet said he wouldn't want to put her to sleep for surgery. So....I was very scared this morning, but feel better about it now.

I never heard of Leslie Sansone but I read some of these posts and the recommendations and found one online and did it today! I LOVE IT! I'm so excited! Finally something I can do!

I did the 3 mile belly burn I think it was called.

But I ordered the 4 mile Ultimate - it won't get here for several days so in the meantime I'll keep using the online one. Seems sketchy that someone posted the whole video on youtube so I feel guilty watching it, but I have my copy coming!

Hello everyone!! Nice to see some new blood!!

I didn't exercise Tues. as I just needed some extra sleep. Weds. I forgot to reset my alarm and missed that day, too!! Got up this morning and did miles 1, 2 and 3 of the 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk. Not sure I will reach my mini goal of 154 by next Monday, but life will go on.

Smith1313, I love the Walk Slim 4 Fast Miles and I also like the Walk Slim Fast and Firm 4 Mile w/ resistance band. The miles are mostly 12 minute miles and that's what I love. I recommend both.

I am heading out for a week in Eureka Springs today with my sons. I may not check in but know I'll be getting back at fast and furious when I get back! See you in a week, ladies!!:carrot:

Oops forgot to post yesterday. Yesterday used my new ultimate DVD. Did 1 mile and 2 mile.
Today did the 3 mile on that same DVD. I didn't like cooling down after one mile and restarting. Was able to do most of the 3 mile except some of the stretchy bands over head.

Hello everyone!! I'm in a HUMONGOUS post-vacation funk. Thankful we got to go somewhere, but I always have trouble letting go of vacation. Even if I just stay home. Sometimes I just cannot bear the thought of having to work until I am 65 or 70. Anyhoo.:(

Did the 2 Mile Power Walk With Friends this morning. Started with 2# weights, then upped to 3# for the last part. I got a good gander at my arms in the vacation pix and...UGH!! I really should not be allowed to wear sleeveless ANYTHING. Ever.

Sorry to be a downer. Just tellin' it like it is.

P.S. Did I miss anything important? Hope you all are well!

I get the same way after vacations! Also I usually decide about a week prior to vacation that I will just start my "vacation eating" and then when I get home I can't get back on my diet. I go back to school next week (teacher) and as blessed as I feel to have the summer off, going back is so hard! At least I'm going back weighing less than when I left in June and eating and exercising. Hang in there and try to count your blessings, that's what I am trying to do. :)

Miles 1 & 2 of the 5 Mile at Burning Walk this morning! Decided to make it a better day. Thankful that I HAVE arms, even if they are fat....but they are much less fat than when I started this journey!! :) Getting lots of healthy food in my body didn't hurt, either.

Sharon-I've always envied teachers their summers off, but I can see how it would be difficult getting back into the swing. You all have a very difficult job and I appreciate what you do!

and hey annie - so glad you're back! girl - i also don't like the idea of having to work my whole life :( i try really hard to just take it one day at a one... but that is easier said then done. i've never been able to wear short sleeves.... I've never been thin enough to do that... so i envy you! I know that doesn't make you feel any better but....

this morning I did 2 miles. I used the Power Walk with Friends (since Annie mentioned it yesterday) and used 2 lb weights. tonight I'll do my hand weight exercises too.

I did my usual 3 mile ultimate today. I am starting to memorize every word of it. :) I think I should buy a few more and mix it up! But I am good at this one!
