Hey everyone! Whether your goal is 2 lbs or 10 lbs, this is a thread for us to motivate each other from July 1st to August 1st! Best of luck to everyone and remember that even 1 lb is a success!!!

First of all, may I just say "eww" to that 1lb of fat picture :dizzy: !!! Here's to getting rid of lots of those! (I might print that out and stick it on my fridge, haha!)

I love these threads and the wonderful supportive people that take part in it. June seemed to be such a great month for so many people, I hope that July brings even more losses. I'd like to join in again. So far, in both May and June I have lost 4lbs total, in spite of my loftier goals ;). I have a new plan, and a summer of baring my new bod to the whole world, so I am going to aim for the high, high goal of 8 lbs - 2 lbs a week. That will put me at 11 stone 10 (164lbs) which is my next mini-goal. Fingers crossed that maybe it will work this time! I weigh on Saturdays or Sundays.

SW: 172 lbs
GW: 164 lbs

,hi all I think I will join in with this one. I was just thinking yesterday that I wanted to lose 10 pounds by my birthday which is the 31st of july so this fit in perfectly . I would be happy with 6 pounds but 10 would be pretty pretty awesome. hopefully I'll be up to keep up with this and get this diet back on track.

I've lost 35 lbs since March 1. I've been stuck at the same weight for all of June. I'm going to add 1 hr of exercise 5 days a week. Lets go!

I'm in as usual! I'm gonna aim for 7lbs this month to put me in the 140's. June wasn't a good month for me but i've found my groove that's got the weight loss started again.. Let's hope it sticks!!

Well, June was a bust for me. I didn't track my food consistently and dealt with stress by eating. Ugh, bad! The stressful issue has been resolved (I realize this is totally an excuse), but I need a redo this month. We will hit the deployment halfway mark this month, so this is not the time for me to fall off the wagon!

Time to face the music. If I can squeek out a 2.5lb loss this month I'll be happy.

I'm doing the Memorial Day to Labor Day challenge, but will also join here for the month. I need motivation during July, the hottest month of the year in my area.

While I would love to lose 8 pounds to get out of the 140s, 6 is more realistic. I guess I'll split the difference and go for 7.

Okay, that is a new low for me this time, so it makes me reeeally happy to see it. I had been at 145 consistently before TOM and then I didn't know, but was hoping, that after TOM I would see some actual movement

It looks like that may be the case. 2lbs is a nice whoosh (heck as much movement as I have had in the last two months!!) and so I'm hoping I stay on that train for a while longer.

Just wanted to comment that I have noticed how you are so good about weighing and posting regularly.

Also I notice your very nice downward trend, and if your body is losing at that good of a pace then you are obviously being very committed in 'real' life.

I'm not one that comments or does personals a lot either, and I really admire those that do. I'm more the type to comment on something if it has some sort of significance to a specific point, or I feel like I can add something to the conversation I will.

But I see you and notice your consistency, so I thought I would comment on that :)

You absolutely do not have to weigh every day if you don't want to.
I will be weighing once a week. You could do that, or weigh once every two weeks, or just weigh in at the end of the month. :)

Like the title says I'll join everyone but in order to lose 10 pounds by Aug. means I have to step up my work outs to 60 mins a day which would be 30 mins in the morning or afternoon and 30 mins in the evening but Im ready to do it

I am taking advantage of the summer too, last summer I lost 20 lbs but gained it back, this summer I lost 10lbs so far, looking forward to 10 more. I hope everyones goals work out, just be careful with the heat, I already overheated once, luckily I was a few blocks away from my house and I was able to cool down quick.

Yikes! I have been doing really poorly this week, with the 4th of July having cookouts almost every night. I've still been tracking, but I've gone over my calories every day this week so I'm not surprised. Hoping most of it is just water weight though and that it will drop off plus some next week. Definitely gonna get back on track this week!

Really? Ok I know it's humanly impossiable to gain that much fat in few days so I'm assuming most of that is water weight but I'm sure a lb or two is fat. I don't know why but I'm constantly hungry last few weeks. I'm normally the kind of person that normally has to remember to eat. I think I may just avoid the scale and just keep myself busy when hungry to avoid over eating like I've been.

dragonstar85 Could it be a hormonal thing? I have found that up to two weeks before my TOM my body can get completely out of whack and do crazy things like make me hungry all the time and cause scale fluctuations. Just a thought!

I'm down two pounds this week! I'm somewhat shocked, and wondering if maybe this will be the first month I will hit my goal?!

I don't know what I am doing wrong. Is it true drinking more water helps with this? I am so sick of looking like I am pregnant!

I first noticed big changes in my face and neck, then my arms and legs. Losing weight healthily takes time and hard work, lots of time and hard work. To me it will be well worth it in the end. Then I must learn to maintain in a healthy way.

I did have one day that was DEF over calories and one day that was at maintenance, so honestly I'm not too upset with that weigh in. Yesterday every minute was a struggle, but I did manage to keep calories to 1100.

I don't feel as fat and crappy today as yesterday, so perhaps this is all headed in the right direction.

3 miles a day is great! I bought a fitbit the beginning of June and LOVE it! I meant to add that to my first post to you. Well worth the cost and very user friendly, the fitbit itself and the fitbit dashboard.

dragonstar85 Could it be a hormonal thing? I have found that up to two weeks before my TOM my body can get completely out of whack and do crazy things like make me hungry all the time and cause scale fluctuations. Just a thought!


Maybe, normally I get a little more hungry and gain 3lbs of fluid few days before. But maybe it is it. It's about two weeks from my next one. My last one did a lot of weird things with my weight loss that nomally doesn't happen. Now just trying to figure out how to keep hunger at bay. I tried more fibre, helps for a little bit. I tried protein but just like fibre it helped for a little.

After about 3 weeks of losing my focus I am back to the grind. The negative is that I was doing SO well and had reached a new low which is now long gone but the positive is that I still weigh less then I typically do when I "restart" my focus. My goal is to be back in the 140's before the end of the month.

Finally I left the 150's. But I think a big part was that I did a day and half fast to flush some of the crud that I'm sure is built up in my body. I was going to do it for 3 days but I woke up feeling weak so I figure I should end it. I started slowly adding food back in today. So I'm sure I may end up gaining a lb back in next few days. But it seems the fast helped me with my constant hunger I was having. Cause I had a cup of orange juice, two bananas, and water for breakfast and it has kept me full until a bit ago. And even then I wasn't extremely hungry.

IAN have you ever had a stall? From when I started watching you.. you were consistantly going down.. maybe a day or two going up.. but not really a stall/Plateau. I hope that this is just the summer heat that is making you hold water... But I also have a feeling that your body (maybe your mind too??) knows its getting closer to the goal that you had in mind... Maybe that might be why its slowing down.. and we all know.. when you get lighter your body does use less energy to move around as its not working against as big of a weight that it had... But I hope and believe that this is just a BLIP! YEP!

I've worked hard in the last 2 days but the losses are a little more then I would have expected (about a pound a day for 2 days). This is promising -- perhaps the 6lbs gained on my 3 weeks off plan are not all fat :)

I knew I would gain a lb maybe two from my fast but I got rid of the fluid weight and that pisky lb that would go away! I'm starting to wonder if I hit a plateau? I've been sticking around the same weight for about a month or two and just been gaining and losing fluid. Now figuring out how to break this thing if it is.

Yowzas. This is a little alarming! I think it's mostly water weight... I ate quite a lot yesterday. I started taking a tea with Senna in it, and it is just making me feel crappy (ha ha). I can't retain fluids or solids, it just goes right through me. Sorry for the TMI post but I highly advise against this tea.

Good job everybody. Even if you're up and down and right about where you've started; you are still Doing something. You are willing yourself to make a healthy change In your life. You are being honest with yourself by posting when you lose AND you gain, even though it would be so easy to hide what has been counter -productive.
We are all in this together, and we are all here for eachother. All of us know about the fluctuations, and that sometimes it gets hard, especially after a few days of working hard with little to no change in the scale. Well, this is shaping up to be the challenge where I've lost the most weight even if I don't think I'll hit my ultimate target. Another lb off this week! This means I'm only 1lb away from moving into the 11 stones! I feel like I've been 12 stone something for so long. ..I can't wait to change stone numbers again!! Now I just need to figure out how to replicate that 2lb loss I had at the start of the challenge. ....

Hopefully down a bit by the 24th. Would be a beautiful miracle to make it to 205 by August 1st. I am falling in love with a class at my gym called fatburner. It's basically step aerobics(vintage) with weights. It's so intense. I have never sweated so much my life. I am hoping it will shape me up nicely.

I don't know what happened, after over a month of fighting with 150-151 and trying everything or so it felt like it suddenly I dropped few lbs. And trust me I am so happy! I know I won't reach my orginal goal but I got to the point I figured I wouldn't even lose any at all so I'm just so happy that I lost some. I hope I got over this bump in the weight loss road!

I am down 1.0lb today. But I had a big night on the beers last night after pool (all the bowling lanes were busy). And after the beer came the whisky. You know the rest...
