Join us in July for our monthly challenge. What are your fitness goals this month? You're welcome here whether your goal is to walk around the block or run a marathon.

State your goal and track it throughout the month with this supportive group of fellow exercisers. We'll compile our exercise goals into a list. As each goal is met during the month, it gets turned RED in celebration.

I'm in! My July exercise goals are divided between walking (measured in kilometres) and other (weight-lifting, swimming, etc., measured in minutes).

July Goals:

Walking: 150 km
PLUS
Other: 1,000 minutes

So pleased with my progress last month, I’ve raised the bar once again. I’ve increased my miles by 5 miles and added another day for weight lifting. I’m going on holidays on the 30th of July so I’ve basically four weeks to make as many improvements as I can. I had my bathing suit on the other day and I actually feel alright in it! But looking a little slimmer for the beach would be better! ;) Since my holiday runs into August, I’m going to give the August challenge a miss, but track it myself.

Goals for July:

50 miles.
5 mile walk, 10 times.
25 days weight lifting.

Last month I think I went a little goal crazy so this month I am going to Keep It Simple. My goal is 4 activity points daily. Last month I would go from 0 points one day to 10 points another day and I know that that is not really the way to go. I'm going to do the same as last month for my overall goal of 124 points for the month. Hopefully this month I can do it in a more steady way. Let's rock it!

I think my exercise goal is going to be over 100 miles of running for the month. That's around 25 miles a week which is quite doable for me. ETA: Also going to do pushups on odd days and planks on even days.

Count me in! I'm raising the bar for myself as well. This month my goal is 100 miles in any combination of activities (running, walking, elliptical, etc.). However, my goal is to make most of these running miles. My bucket list includes a half marathon so I'm working toward this goal. Protecting my knees and ankle is my priority, though.

I did no formal exercise on the first two days of July, since I had visitors here until June 30 and I decided to spend two days giving my house a thorough "spring" cleaning. So, I spent my time cleaning bathrooms, washing windows, stripping and remaking beds, washing floors and baseboards, etc. I'm pooped, but I'm not sure how to count all of this "exercise" toward my goals. So, I will just record the cleaning as zero and will start counting tomorrow.

Hello!! I am hoping into this challenge :) It has helped me stay accountable in the past. This month -- starting July 8th I am doing Chalean Extreme/TurboFire Hybrid so my goal is to stay on track and not miss ANY days!!

On top of that I want to also:

Do yoga 1 day a week at the yoga studio
Walk 6 miles every week for a total of 24 miles in the month

I know that it's nearing the end of the month, but I wanted to start logging my exercise somewhere. I hope nobody minds if I jump in! I have two goals for the rest of the month - (1) be physically active at least 5 days a week and (2) run at least 15 miles a week.

July 15 - 5 mile run on a treadmill, 20 minutes on a standing bike
July 16 - 30 minutes on a crossramp, 20 minutes on a standing bike
July 17 - 5K outside
July 18 - 20 minutes on the elliptical, 20 minutes on a standing bike
July 19 - 10K run on a treadmill
July 20 - rest day

Everyone is doing great! I just updated mine and I have not missed a day of push ups or planking! I will not make my 100 mile running goal but I'm ok with that. I need new shoes anyway. But I have been getting up to run in the mornings lately!

I almost made my walking goal (goal of 150 km; actual was 134.1 km), but I fell way short in other exercise (goal of 1,000 minutes; actual was 330 minutes). I need to step things up a few notches in August.

Alrighty! Well, I met my first goal of exercising at least 20 out of 31 days, I actually did 24 days of exercise and I found a new love--zumba!!! I didn't make my 75 mile goal--and I'm ok with that, I did so much zumba instead--and boy that makes you sweat! I also didn't even try for my third goal, well I tried on July 1st but it made my shoulder hurt so I just bagged it. Guess that one was lost before I even started. :-)

Anyway, I'm happy with what I did this month. On to August.....
