I'd like to join! I've been in maintenance a couple of years, but put on a few pounds the past 6 months. I have about 6 pounds left to lose. I think if I stay on my plan (exercising 6 days a week and being more mindful of what I consume), I'll lose about 4 pounds this month.

So that's my goal for June - a 4 pound loss. I'm excited. I've never really timed my weight loss before. :carrot:

June 1st goal: Lose 4 pounds
June 8th progress: -1
June 15th progress: 0
June 22nd progress: +2 (pretty sure most/all of this is TOM gain)
June 29th progress: -2

WOOO This goal brings me to the end of the school year! And to Canada Day! WOO!!!

SW: 169.1 (which will hopefully go down, since last week's weigh in was 168.5!)
GW: 162.0

I am heading back to Toronto for the summer on July 8th and My goal is 160 by July 8th. That'll mean a 50 lb loss since Christmas and my friends and fam haven't seen me since then! I'm doing low impact mods on Ripped in 30 this month, netting 1200 cals a day. LET'S DO THIS!!

It is within reach, however, having a two lb gain this week for no apparent reason, and only losing one lb the prior week, it looks like my losing spree is finally slowing down:(. May was super-seesawing, birthday & starting birth control month of awesomeness, and I lost NOTHING!!

I get way too much performance anxiety to post expectations of what my numbers will be... But I just want to post here to entertain the idea that if I like, I CAN lose 10lbs this month. Or 1. Or whatever.

I'm going by low weight as my daily range is all over the place since I'm not on a plan. So this is the only number I'm going to post!

Notes: I have been 147 for a long time, so I'm thinking that is my true weight. I'm really stressed with all of it right now, so my goal is really just to freakin' lose SOMETHING this month.

My monthly goal is also to log all of my food. I overate today, which is a dissappointing/self-defeating/dumb way to begin the month, BUT here we go! One bad day does not spoil a whole month!

Now let's see some real progress!!!!

Curlyfroyo, the only advise I have is, just be consistent in sticking with your plan, admit to mishaps and strive to do better the next day and so on. I often read through the post daily, seeing other people's succees give me the encouragement I need in tho keep pushing. However, it seems that you have been doing really well already, so whatever you're doing, keep it up!

I'm up a pound today. Well isn't that special. :lol:

I'm pretty sure it's water retention from exercise. That always happens to me when I kick it up a notch (or kick it up at all, after being sedentary). For the past week, my clothes have already been fitting a little better. Getting rid of that too snug feeling feels great and tells me the scales are just lagging behind my progress.

Jennifer, I am ready to tear my hair out with you! I have been hovering between 171 and 168 for 2 weeks now...and today was a lousy 168.9! DAMNIT, BODY! lol oh well. I don't feel guilty since I know my calories have been on plan...my workouts have even been okay. Hopefully my body catches up to me soon!

If not, I'll just cut off my gimp ankle I keep complaining about..that's gotta be worth, what, 4 pounds? :D

That is where I mentally am. I think I am ready to go maybe 1200 more consistently.

I feel confused with myself about if I were 'lying' to myself about my intake this past month or so. If I was having more 'big' days than I realized and it working out to being maintenance. Also I'm one that is always paranoid that food has 'secret' calories I don't know about, so when I add up 1000 or so, I feel like in reality it probably IS 1200.

Having said that, yes, think I'll bump it up by the smallest margins this month, really track all my food, and see where that takes me.

My next goal is actually 135 and so I'm kinda in a sprint to see how fast I can get there. That is always another set point for my body that takes a while to break. Once I am there, I want to go on maintenance for a couple of months and then think about knocking out the last ten (probably in 5 lb increments)

So, I reckon with all that it means I am in. :)

Notes: This is my TOM is almost over whoosh. I would love for it to track down another pound or two and be lower than 147, so I feel like I've made a little ground.

Yesterday was an ubber miserable day for me, with my clothes being tight, mentally not in a good place, and the usual stress of life/family/job.

Feel more optimistic today, but still feel like I am spinning my wheels a bit. Well, it's always about feeling good that moment, it's about working towards being and feeling better :)

my weight was 175 today (a total fluke) i ate some pistachios and sat in a car for 8 hrs so im guessing it's the sodium and water weight, since i couldn't have eaten that much.

Sue, you are getting close to those 250s! Will it be today? I had a great time in the 250s. You'll enjoy it there!

My weekly gain has yet to arrive. It may have been tennis last night, lr it could just be waiting around the corner to bite me on Wednesday like it did last week. Anyway, down another 0.4lbs today.

Most of my weight loss was with 0.4s here and there, so I'll take it.

Bowling with colleagues tonight. I am going out way too much. So then it's the rest of the week back to normal.

I have no clue. It was not about the gym, i had a rough day at work but i was over it and just doing absolutely nothing when i felt like i couldnt breathe and my heart felt like it was racing (i checked my pulse, it wasn't racing). There was nothing that really precipitated it, very strange. I pulled over and then raced home then i started feeling really cold. That has never happened to me before, it felt like if i drank 4 cups of coffee at once. Im feeling a bit better now after a few hours but still not 100%. Im just disappointed bc i really wanted to keep at the gym and not lose my progress.

I'm sorry.:hug: I do know the feeling. I was mentioning this in another thread, that sometimes mentally we are over something, but emotionally we are not. Maybe you just need an evening to unwind. I'm glad you're feeling better, and don't stress about the gym, it will be there tomorrow. ;)

I hope everyone had an amazing day OP today! I can't believe it's JUNE!!!!!! My students are done learning for the year so I am just trying to keep them happy at this point. I wish mental strength burned calories too!!

Thank you Northern Chick and Charliee I guess it happens. PCOS can be linked to anxiety from what I researched when I got home, perhaps it was simply hormonal. Either way tomorrow I have a work party to attend so I will not be in the gym unless i can squeeze in a quick 30 min one and be really late. I will just have to bust my booty thurs, friday and saturday morning before i do my weigh in hehe. im trying to get deep in the 140s bc it seems whenever i get there the next week i bounce right back to mid 150s (for the last 2 years). According to BMI, 150s makes me overweight, 140s is the top range of healthy bmi so you can see my frustration lol.

So, I've been sworn off all exercise bar entle walking due to a ligament proble in my knee :( Might put a bit of a stall on the weightloss, and I'm probubly goig to have a gain tomorrow as I've allowed myself to have a day of comfort food due to how stressy I got over the situation.

Will pick myself back up tomorrow when I know how much damag I've done on the scale and hopefully I'll be back to jogging after a sesh as the phsyio :(

OK, so I am SO thankful that my little comfort binge yesterday hasn't moved the scale on me. I'm going to try some swimming tomorrow and see how my knee is after that. If it doesn't play up, I may turn into a fish this month instead of a runner lol

Officially back down to my before TOM weight. Sooooo, would love to think its the hint of a whoosh in my future. Gonna be able to sleep like 6 or 7 hours tonight so that should help.

One thing I HAVE to do is sleep in order to lose weight. It will totally stop weight loss with me, more than any other single factor (well, I guess except eating too much :p )

I have decided to weigh in a day early as it is my birthday on Monday so I am having a bit of a celebration weekend. I tend to find Sundays magically make my weight drop but I'm not sure even 'Magic Sunday' can contend with the amount of cake I have eaten today! I might check just in case though. I'm pleased that I've dropped 1 lbs though, as it has been a tough few weeks with no loss at all. I wish it was more but I'm pleased to have started out well.

SW: 175 lbs
Week 1: 174 lbs
GW: 167 lbs

I'm joining up! 3 weeks to go & I know I can lose 7lbs if I dedicate myself to it. I'm trying to make some small changes to my eating. I lost about 40lbs in 4 months over the winter by changing my eating habits & some light exercise. But then I've hit a plateau the last month. Mainly due to picking back up some poor eating habits & not having much of a fitness routine. Sooo... I'm making better meal plans so I'm not tempted by convenience foods & I'm trying to start doing some strength training moves to tone up some & hopefully start walking again. I know after 3 weeks of staying on track & exercising I'll love how I'll feel stronger, leaner & how some of my clothes will fit better & some will be getting to baggy & hopefully I can retire them for good! :) So that's my motivation! That feeling I'll have in 3 weeks!

Okaaaaayyyy.... So this week I have discovered that IF is not for me. Came off a fast straight into a 24hour binge.... Fell COMPLETELY off the wagon.

I think the lesson here is 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it.'
Will weigh in tomorrow to assess the damage, pick myself back up, and try again (whilst glaring furiously at me kneee of course - can't even walk for more than 30mins grr arrg)

lol, yea when I got to 135 i really lost my boobs big time and i was kinda hesitant bc i always thought 5'5 125 was perfect (beyonce measurements) but when other ppl are those numbers they still seem to have it all there but i definitely started looking less womanly but still had lower tummy (looking back it was probably skin that needed time to adjust or my bf percentage that needed work) i figured it was because i was losing too fast or too much strength training. everyone wears it different i guess. cant wait to get back, congrats...thanks

So i noticed a trend (saturday night my weight is THE lowest)/ weekend is great then Monday/Tuesday the scale goes up i get stressed and frustrated and weds the scale goes up then i realize weigh in is coming and I kill myself thurs, friday.

im trying not to weigh myself bc i know its going to be up...from eating, stress, lack of sleep and it not being the weekend. my goal is to still be at my sick number (144.0) by saturdays weigh in, but obviously thats a pipe dream and ill be proud with 145.

Still there AND I ate 650 calories yesterday total. :rolleyes:

I was trying to balance out my indulgence the day before. I honestly don't know what to do besides keep on keeping on.

Tomorrow I can't weigh in b/c I close tonight at work (get off at 11pm) and then have to open (which means be up at 4am). I'll get 2 or 3 hours sleep at most, and I always am up a pound or two just based on the lack of sleep.

It has to go sometime, I know that, it's just the mental effect of waiting for it to happen. I have never had a stall this long in my life.

Saturdays are now my weigh-in day as I seem to spend the rest of the weekend eating out lately! After the birthday splurges of last week I'm really pleased to have lost 1 lb (well, almost, if you don't count the ounces which I'm not!). Obviously I would have loved to lose more but I ate out 5 times last week (!) so I'm just delighted that I haven't put anything on. I'm not totally sure how I could lose 6 lbs in the next two weeks to hit my goal but I guess anything is possible....
