So, my husband has severe hypertension. We just found out when the doctor thought he was having mini strokes, he isn't, just migraines thankfully, but it forced us to make some changes.

We eat brown rice and quinoa fairly often, we were using chicken broth as the liquid. Tastes great, doesn't really add too many points( we are on weight watchers), but....the sodium! Oh my!!! Rice and quinoa with just water, not too exciting.

Solution?? It came to me when the hubs said he put a pork roast in the crock pot and he seasoned it Hawaiian. I happen to love coconut jasmine rice, but didn't have coconut and don't really like the texture. So the answer....coconut water!

Not great for drinking but a low sodium tasty alternative to broth!

Just had to share!
