Default Do you wear tank tops in the summer?

I went clothes shopping hoping to find a few summer things. I've lost 37lb and I'm down a size, so I need some smaller things. But, 90 percent of things all the stores had in my size were tank tops. Every time I see a tank top in my size I hear my mother saying "nobody wants to see your fat arms."

So, do you wear tank tops in the summer?

I have never worn a tanktop in public since I was like 10 years old.

I have had the biggest arms my whole life. Now that I my arms getting smaller this time around, I have bat wings that would hurt someone if I waved to them.

In my next life, that's all I want to wear. The only time I buy them now is to wear under other clothes.

Just inside my apt, or around the yard. I have stocky, thick upper arms. But then again, I also wear jeans (with the exception of a pair or capris once in awhile) all year around. So maybe you shouldn't count me. lol

I wear them around the house and such, but for the most part I'm just not comfortable with showing that much of my arms. Then again, I certainly don't walk around in booty shorts either haha

You know, at my thinnest, I was sooo self conscious I wouldn't go bare armed. Now, I'm pretty my arms are the least disgusting part of me, so I wear them. This year, my arms actually look pretty good!

I haven't worn tank tops hardly ever, partially 'cause of my wings and partially because of my chicken skin. Both of things I am working on. With the wedding in the middle of the summer and my strapless dress I have been determined to make my arms look better. I have been spending quite a lot of time out in the yard (in a tank top) and have developed a pretty nice tan. That along with a regime of exfoliation and lotion with every shower my chicken skin is looking much better! I might just be almost comfortable bearing my upper arms this summer!! More toning and I could wear tank tops all the time... in public even! I am sure that I will always have some bat wings to deal with though.

Nope, but I will wear off the shoulder or bare-shoulder tops as long as there are sleeves that cover the bulgy bit of my arm at arm pit level. I love the cold-shoulder tops with cut-outs at the shoulder. I've even considered buying tank tops in duplicates (two of each color) and using the second to make tube "sleeves" about 6" long (arm bands, essentially) and attach to the first at the underarm.

I also refuse to wear skirts and shorts that are shorter than mid-calf. My goal this summer is to try shorts or skirts that hit right below the knee (has to at least cover the crease behind the knee).

My arms are awful but I use a fake tanner and wear sleeveless. I try and go to a cap sleeve but it still shows my batwings. I also wore a dress for my daughters wedding that hit above the knee. I like below the knee but I looked pretty good in it.

No way will I wear tank top. My upper arms are not only fat but also have flappity bat wings. I'm really not comfortable with showing them.

Yes, almost exclusively - the ones with a built in "bra" and teeny straps - it's too freaking hot for sleeves! I also wear short-shorts and halter tops and mini-dresses and bikinis and pretty much every other 'summer' outfit that they make for women.

Wear whatever makes you feel rad! For me, that means being comfortable in the summer heat by wearing as little clothing as I can get away with legally - especially since we don't have air conditioning.

I am one of those crazy people.... I wear tank tops.... shorts etc even when I was over 300+. I just wanted to be comfy and if someone said anything about me... I never heard it. I guess I just think in my mind that I was not as big as I was and just wanted to wear it... Now with my arms getting smaller and toner, I actual like how they look and notice it myself but wear shirts or sleeved tops over it... Funny Backwards here... as I get thinner....Hide... heavier show LOL
