That's great. I've never heard of Healthy Eating Class can you explain more. Is it nation wide. I'm sure others would like to know as well.

Thanx everyone!
2feelbetter- the class is thru a local free clinic and although we are trying to make it more accesible to the public (we were just given approval to open the class to the public and not just limited to clinic patients) i dont believe its a nationally known program. Every 12 weeks a class is run and we start out with height, bp, waist measurement, and an order for a complete blood work up. Then we do a personalized print out for each member of a daily calorie count which will allow them to lose 1-2lb a week. We also supply them with a kitchen scale, calorie journal, calorie count book, and a personal diary. We teach them about all the nutrients (carbs, protein, fiber, fats, etc). We promote a whole foods lifestyle and its benefits as well as teaching how to read nutrition labels, what to look for how to make healthier versions of favorite meals, how to count calories, portion control and how all of this helps lower bp, sugar, cholesterol (which is why the bloodwork is done). At the end of the 12 weeks the bloodwork is repeated to record the changes. As well as waist and bp. (Weight is recorded each week) we are also just a support group as well and also teach stretches and loght exercises to get them moving a little each time. We are 3 weeks into this class and they are showing some positive results already that really has them excited and motivated to continue!

I feel the same way!! There are days I don't want to stay on plan or days I don't want to exercise (or days I don't want to do either lol) but what's the alternative? To gain weight back or go back to the way I was? No freakin' way! So I get myself a good dose of 3FC and get my head back in the game as best as I can and on we go!

It's people like you that make me want to keep going so keep doing what you are doing and we'll be doing it together!!

Awesome!! (I had no idea about different classes of obese until I started my diet this time around. I was in 3, then 2, now 1 and am racing to "just" be overweight.) Who knew these milestones would tug at our hearts so much. Keep up the good work.
