I was wondering what everyone's take on this is. With or without a coach, what have you been estimating yours are? I am sure it varies according to weight, but just curious as to what you each have been doing if you are even keeping track. I am just rethinking my numbers and wanted to compare or hear feedback. Thanks!!
I have been averaging 700 calories, 25 g carb, 40 g fat & 100 G protein. I have lost 60 pds since Oct 31/12. The last two months i have really slowed down on my losses.
My coach gave me a sheet at the beginning

I have my fitness pal set for 950 cal max but rarely hit that

67 fat
169 protein
and the weight is falling off her. faster than me! and here i am on 800 cals or whatever...
The bigger the calorie deficit, the larger the losses. So if your friend has more weight to lose than you and has a higher resting metabolism, then she will lost faster. Also the closer you get to goal, the lower your resting metabolism gets and the slower the losses.

My daily goals are right with Lisa's, and I rarely exceed them (I don't recall ever exceeding them actually). I did not use any more packets* or protein, etc for simply being heavier at 355 than what I use now at 199. I have heard some people report that their coaches wanted them to add in more when they were heavier. I just followed the sheet and it said nothing about weight differences being taken into consideration.

Every body is different though. Your metabolism isn't the same as mine, mine isn't the same as hers...etc etc etc. That is why you really cannot compare one person's losses to another - and why there is no such thing as ONE ULTIMATE DIET that works the same for every person.
She may have a body chemistry that wouldn't survive well on the calories we are given on IP. Likewise your body may not drop weight as quickly on a higher calorie diet.
After I posted my answer, I realized I didn't leave the caviate that I eat more protein than the 8oz and do not eat the higher carb restricted IP/alternative foods because of diabetes, which is why my cal and protein are higher than others following 100% OP.
And yes, everyone is soooo different. I gain weight at 1500 calories. I have to be under 1000 to lose. I'm a freak, yes, but it's always been so obvious that I cannot compare myself to anyone else's weight loss. I'm just thrilled that SOMETHING finally works. I do love this diet, even though I've adjusted it around my medical garbage.
