For the last two weeks (while I have been taking a "break"...) My lips have been so dry and itchy and sore in a way the no chapstick could possibly cure. Today, I remembered to bring my water bottle back to work and drank at least 4 liters today.... my lips don't hurt anymore! I guess on my break I had unknowingly taken a break from water too!
No doubt! I live in Colorado and the dryness here is brutal! I keep a tube of chapstick next to my bed, by the couch, in my purse, and at my desk at work! I drink a ton of water and try not to use the chapstick too much...but frankly, I'd rather have dry ashy legs than dry lips.
That is an interesting connection between drinking more water and more hydrated lips. I didn't really think of that but I get horribly chapped lips at times, partially because I am an open mouthed breather at night when I sleep. Thanks for the tip!
