May 4, 2011 At my Endo appointment, the Dr. tells me to work on maintenance. My maintenance range is 145-150.

August 2011: Stayed in or a little below my maintenance range
September 2011: Stayed in or a little below my maintenance range.

December 2011: Went on Vacation. Went 5 pounds above my maintenance range during vacation.
January 2012: Still had to deal with gain from Christmas vacation and allergic reaction. By the middle of the month, things were getting under control. Went 3.6 pounds above my maintenance range.
February 2012: Stayed within my maintenance range. Did not go above. Still dealing with an allergic reaction.
March 2012: Stayed within my maintenance range.
April 2012: Stayed within my maintenance range.

July 2012: 4th of July/Birthday - Went a little above my maintenance range.
August 2012: Angio Edema diagnosis/shingles - went above my maintenance range
September 2012: Still struggled with the Angio Edema and medicine for it. Above my maintenance range.
October 2012: Got into my maintenance range. Weight went back up at the end of the month due to the fair and DH's Birthday
November 2012: Above my maintenance range, but still working on things.
December 2012: Above my maintenance range. Went on a cruise.
January 2013: January 1 weight: 164 January 31 weight: 158.6 Above my maintenance range. Thyroid meds still off. Have been since the Summer, but getting better, as per Endo. Lowest weight in January 157.8.
February 2013: February 1 weight: 159.2 February 28 weight: 159.6 I was above my maintenance range throughout the month. Still working on things with the angio edema. I'm still having flare ups but I "feel" like things are getting better.
March 2013: I started March 1 at 160 on March 31 I weighed in at 159.4. I basically maintained for the month. I am not happy about that but it is better than a gain. Lowest weight in March was 157.2. Still working toward 150.
April 2013: I started April 1 at 161 on April 31 I weighed in at 158.2. I had a loss of 2.8 pounds. I feel that I have continued to maintain since my weight has been up and down all month and I have not gotten down to this year's low of 157.2 in March. Still working toward 150. I started taking the antihistamine twice a day this month. I had a 2+ pound gain overnight at the beginning of the month and woke to my left eye being almost swollen shut. I feel better since starting back to taking the antihistamine twice a day.

I'm in, again!

I've been doing this since February, and have learned from looking at the graph to go by most recent low weight, as I get a lot of water-based fluctuations. If I concentrate on just getting my new low weights down by 1lb at a time, the rest seems to fall into place (and the daily fluctuations no longer dictate how I feel, because I know that's not necessarily a true measure of where I'm at!)

Got a new low of 189 in April, so out of the 190s :D I'd like to see the low end of the 180s this month, so going for a new low of 184. And it's my 32nd birthday on the 21st, and being able to go back on the pill for my birthday would be a wonderful present! I need my BMI under 35 for that, so... Tentatively making a doc's appointment in the next few weeks. Yikes!

Edit 20 May: another silly maintenance month... Not to worry, I got the pill, and will need a few months to track how my weight reacts to it. I'm trying to relax a bit now and stop trying to force losing, as it's constantly backfiring in my face. Screw goals! Apart from no long-term regains, I'm done setting myself up for failure with temperamental numbers!

My body appears to have something against twoderville. I've been bouncing around 297-302 quite a bit the past couple of weeks.

I should really start measuring I suppose, but too lazy to, lol.

Still I'm hiking further/steeper trails than before, have lots of energy, fitting into clothes (like my rain gear) that didn't come close to be wearable a couple months ago.

Even so, not seeing the scale move makes it all a little less exciting. I know in my head it will move, eventually though! Silly scale.

Weigh-in was 247.0, so that puts me at 35 lbs down total today...which is nice to keep in mind, since I've been feeling like I'm developing a rotating stall pattern lately. I feel like I will lose some weight, stay the same exact weight for a few days, lose a tiny more, stall for a few more days, and so on and so forth. I think I need to hit the gym more regularly to burn this weird cycling thing my body seems to have started. Hmm. :chin:

I slept in by a lot this morning, so my scale read a little lower than usual today...and, I'll take it! Weigh-in was 245.4 today, which is 1.6 lbs down from yesterday. Hopefully this is another mini whoosh. Does anyone else have bigger losses when they oversleep by a couple hours? Also, happy Cinco De Mayo everyone! I'm going to try avoiding delicious Mexican food today, lol. I might have a healthier version and make some more yummy chickpea tacos, though! We'll see. :)

I was feeling a little sick this morning, so my weigh-in is 243.2 today. Not the best way to get a lower number on the scale, but I will log it anyway. I'm looking at it like a silver lining to the dark cloud of feeling like crud...lol.

erinmarie: I will admit that I'm having a better week this week, loss-wise, than I have for the past two...but, it's nice to hear someone else thinking I'm doing okay, especially when I've so recently felt like I was struggling! :hug: As for my "plan", it has basically just been calorie counting (staying under 1400 cals) and trying to get in some form of exercise for at least 30 mins a day, which has usually been yoga or pilates with the occasional walk/jog. I also sample some workout videos I find on YT from time to time. The only thing that's pretty new is that I recently started using the elliptical when I find myself at the gym, so that might be shaking things up a bit? All I know is that I'm going to be making an effort to do it at least twice a week from now on, lol. I also drink lots of water all day. (One thing to note is that my natural, intuitive way of eating lends itself to the 16/8 IF concept of eating only during an 8-hr window of time, with 16 hours to let your body process everything, so I loosely follow that now that I know it's an actual thing and not just my own personal appetite, lol.)

Weigh-in was up a little to 243.6 today. I was expecting a gain this morning after being sick yesterday, but I'm happy it's not too much. Pretty much just a normal fluctuation. Also, I'm feeling better overall today, just really tired, so I think I'm going to take a rest day from working out this afternoon. I even took a short nap today when I got home, lol. I'll be back at it tomorrow!

Running on less than two hours sleep today, therefore I've been dragging butt all day. So, maybe it's because I'm tired, but - at first - my weigh-in of 241.8 this afternoon didn't seem overly spectacular...but, then I realized that that means I reached 40 lbs lost today! Which definitely put a little bit more spring into my step for the day...lol. It makes these small, incremental losses feel like they're finally starting to add up to something afterall.

Hmm, well i didn't get down to 209 like I wanted, but I have a feeling I am gonna woosh tomorrow. I only got 6 1/2 hours sleep because I had to get up for work and that affects my weight more than I like to admit. It sucks to end a week on a red note but I think over all it was a good week.

As for me, I didn't weigh-in at all yesterday, because we had a super early morning volunteering out at the national cemetery nearby to plant flags for Memorial Day...which was followed up by a breakfast at Waffle House, since this is the South and that is apparently what you do...lol. Anyways, I was able to get something relatively healthy (oatmeal and dried fruit), so I was keeping my fingers crossed for today. Weigh-in was successful at 238.2! Finally moving, yay! Haha.

Well... Today I got on the scale and made goal. But I feel like I can't really celebrate because I slept in and weighed 2 hours late. Let's see what it says tomorrow :)

Feeling really good though, even if I have to wait an extra week to make it official. I have accomplished a lot of what I set out to do. I completed three 5Ks and fit into normal stores now. Every pound past 165 is just gravy :)

I am still posting my weight (on the second page of this thread) and hoping to lose back down to my maintenance range. :lol: I went to my Endocrinologist this week for a follow up. My Synthroid dosage is still too low. She has made another adjustment. She has also suggested that I do some yoga weekly to help with my stress. Next month, June, will mark 1 year since my Mom passed away. I do seem to be feeling better about things, overall. I still have my days. I gained 10 pounds in this year. It seems like the stress of all of that made it where my body wasn't absorbing the Synthroid properly. That's why she had to increase my Synthroid. I went to my appointment last week with my food/exercise log. I wanted to show her how hard I have continued to try although I have been faced with these challenges but not losing weight. I am very glad that I have stuck to my food/exercise plans as much as I have. I can only imagine how bad my gain would be if I hadn't. So that's my little update.

Thankfully, my weigh-in was 237.8 today, despite having a fast food veggie "burger" and an Oreo yesterday. Did you know those things have 75 cals PER cookie? Wow! And, they are so small...definitely not worth it.
