That was great, mandy. Thanks for sharing. :)

When I'm running or walking and want to quit, I'm going to keep telling myself to keep going and maybe I'll soon be a 12. I don't think I'll ever be a 10!

Love the tshirt too, "At least we are trying."

Thanks for sharing, Mandy. It's good to know that there are many, many people who try to be encouraging instead of demeaning.

When I am walking and I want to stop I make a mental list of all the things I am gaining from pushing myself and walking more. It is nice to know that there are encouraging people out there!

It's funny, the things that stick with you!! I remember walking down the street in London, while living there for a semester, in college, and a carful of girls driving by, and one shouting out the window, "If I looked like you, I'd kill myself!" I was just back there a few weeks ago, and thought, yeah, I wonder who feels good about the way they look now?! On the other hand, I also had a friends-with-benefits roomate in college, who wasn't even such a nice guy, but who said, one time, "Lose five or ten, and you'd be a knockout," and, ironically, boosted my spirits so much, because I had SO much more than five or ten to lose!

Glad you enjoyed it! I love the idea of "at least we are trying" t-shirts one of the last people wrote about.

Sort of reminds me of this great meme going around: http://weknowmemes.com/2012/11/50-fat-diabetic-and-ahead-of-you-shirt/
