Thumbs up Newly Converted

Both meanings intended: I've changed to calorie counting and what I eat is now represented by numbers.

For so long I've been avoiding this because I thought that if I just ate healthy foods and exercised then I'd be fine. Well, I have a goal to reach 60-65kgs by my birthday on September 2 (my partner always throws me surprise b'day parties -because I only had 1-2 before I met him 3 years ago). So that gives me 4 months to lose about 10 kgs (22lbs). I don't know what's happening, but my weight lose is slowing down and all month I've been stuck on 73.3 kgs! That's really not helping lol

I saw a lot of chatter about MyFitnessPal so I decided to download it last night. I keyed in my guesses of what foods I'd eaten (it's all in pounds and ounces and I don't know how to convert without my pc) and I'd come under 1200 calories...Oops. I skip breakfast because I sleep past it and I typically eat what I like, that's healthy. Turns out I need more

Anyway, I calculated my food for this afternoon, baked beans on rye bread toast, and it's come to 446 calories. What? I'm exercising today, so that count is probably a good thing. I don't feel full though

Long and boring story over

Calorie Counting works best for me and I have tried other programs. Calorie counting is flexible and you can work birthday parties in as long as you know how many calories you need in a day.

If your calories are around 1200 daily, maybe you could try bumping it up to 1300-1400. Sometimes the increase helps boost your metabolism a bit.

I'll give it a go. I think it's because I don't eat much during the day and that I skip breakfast. Phew, this is harder than I thought!
