Sure. I'll do this with you. I'm going to be focusing on plie squats to increase my inner thigh strength. (I have weak inner thighs which are causing my knees to track improperly.)

When would you like to start?

I just finished Day 1! I did it in 4 sets (2 sets of 15, 2 sets of 10)-looking forward to getting stronger-this stuff is hard!

I'm not sure my knee could handle that, but that leg especially needs strengthened. What's a plie squat?

Im in, me and my daughter have thunder thighs, even with weight loss, I read that squats leans the thigh. Good luck everyone.

I am probably going to do half plie and half regular too! I am excited now! I started this a few weeks ago but no one would do it with me so I stopped!

Okay, just did the first ones, my legs feel like jelly! Had to do a funny sort of crouch-walk to the shower after lol. Looking forward to see what I'll be like tomorrow!
Measuring your thighs is an awesome idea, I think I'll do that too.

Ok so today is my day to start. I have decided I will do my squats at work and then when I get home at 5pm I can do my normal work out.

Oh and I saw I said im on a different time frame...apparently on a different brain frame aswell...I meant time zone.

I have involved the girls at my work aswell with this...I think I should involve a prize to keep us motivated....hmmmmmm....

So me and the girls at work just did our squats.... goodness...it looks much easier than what it really is.

One of the girls is very cocky and says this is nothing...she jogs eveyday...her tune changed very fast after our first 50 squates!

Tomorrow is day 2 and 55 squats.... I hope that I will survive!!!:eek:

We are doing day2 today...we are all very excited here at my work, even if we are all complaining a little about our sore legs, everyone seems rather keen to do it....I think its that little motivation I added in;)

Also I showed one of the girls at work what squats can do for your bum....she is motivated as ****!!

Finished day 3! It says that you should do them all at once but I figure as long as your doing them do them how you can. Though I tried doing this once before and was doing sets and doing them all at once is easier!

Completed Day 1 strong yesterday with 50 squats. Just completed Day 2 an hour ago after lunch, did 55 squats! My thighs are definitely sore but it feels so great!

I missed Day 3 yesterday! Well I guess I'll just consider yesterday my day 4 (rest day) and do the 60 today! I had been doing mine in sets but I might try to do all of them in one set today-we'll see how that goes....

Took me and the hubby around 2-3 minutes for day 6 today did 75 squats my legs felt like noodles!!! But I feel my form getting better too, not as wobbly. Good stuff!

Damn! I missed my day 5! It was sunday and I was doing a few things, so I will then take today as my day5, and maybe I should do day 6 aswell today....I dont want the girls at work to be ahead of me:(

So my legs will be killing me by this afternoon... I suppose that is just the punishment that I will have to take.

I suggest if you do get sick, take it slow but keep your body moving and
don't Go off track with eating. Cause those are the times people fall off track And it's har to Jump back on. So maybe some light walking around the block if youre feeling ill.

I am jumping on bard with you ladies! Just did day 1 half and half regular and plie. 10 reg 10 plie x 2 then 5 of each. My legs whined about the regular ones because it has been awhile since I've done squats but darn did the plie ones make my legs shake at the end, I could definitely tell I was working my legs differently!

I started day 1 today. I've been wanting to do more squats anyway so this is awesome. I did more plie squats than traditional and I can really feel it in my inner thighs. Woohoo!

I did Day 3 on Saturday-going to do Day 5 today! Idk what it is, but these feel so hard! I know some of you ladies have said you do them all in one shot. My plan was to try that on Saturday-that was a no go! I can do maybe 10-15 at a time. Maybe it's a mental thing-who knows.

I don't know an arm one that is a premade challange, but you could do it with push ups, start with a number you know you can do now and bump it up a couple per day.

If you can't do any yet, do them on an incline, against a counter or a couch arm or something....

It'll perk your chest up too :)

Taking my own advice, just did 30 push ups against a counter, will copy the regimine of the squats and attempt to up it 5 per day :)

My first day was yesterday and it went really well. I did 2 sets of 25 back to back. I'm pretty strong so I'm going to add 12 lb weights to my squats to challenge myself. Bring on 55!

Ok, suffered through day 3 of squats (60, 30 of each) and day 2 of pushups (35). I am going to follow the squats schedule for both so the pushups will be more of a 29 day challenge... or I will do an extra day at the end.

I need an arm one, too! OK push ups....starting with 35. (Pretend it's day 2 so I can be on day 2 for both. )
Just diddit. "Cheated" by leaning on a table. Good for the arms and stretching out the back of the legs, but the corner of the table hurt my palms.

Hello hello!!

Sorry I was not on yesterday, my IT guy was sorting out my PC and printer and was on my comp the WHOLE day...I felt so lost!

anyhooooo...Yesterday was a rest day for us.

Today is day 9 for us and we are taking on the 100. No one wants to give up...every one wants the insentive that I have added to the mix.

I must admit im not feeling it in my legs as bad as i did on days 1,2,3. I think the leggies are starting to love these squats!

Keep on squatting!

Today is my rest day and my legs and arms are both SO SORE! I like it because I know it means I am working them but at the same time moving in general hurts. How do I know if I am pushing too hard too fast? I don't want to end up hurting myself, but I'm worried if I modify anything I'm just being lazy and not pushing myself enough.

How sore is/was everyone else this early in?

ETA: Just noticed on Candaces "I must admit im not feeling it in my legs as bad as i did on days 1,2,3." so maybe what I'm feeling is normal? IDK

Did 105 squats today, my knee hurts a little but I also worked legs at the gym anyways, tomorrow is cardio/ running dayfor me then 110 squats. I think it's time to split them up soon, 100 up and down at once is a little tough on my left knee, ho hum

Yes those first few days were torture...for me anyway...I could barely go to the loo without my legs feeling like they want to fall off before I do another squat.
Just keep on going through the pain...It will get better.

I think we must start doing the push up Challenge today....hmmmmm or maybe on monday so that its not so random....I will hear what the girls say.
Oh sorry BTW...I love the puch up challenge...Its looking good..I actually emailed my hairdresser that pic...Im gonna make my hair that color today...hahahaha

Today is day 10 for us...105 squats....Bring it on!

I just did day 5 on squats and I am on my rest day for arms, my legs feel alot better then they did the first 3 days so that gives me hope I won't be as miserably sore as well. Last night my arms were so bad though I had issues taking my shirt off lol

dinomama, I am totally doing it against the counter as well if I try them on the floor I get down and cant push back up, i just end up stuck until i fall on my face lol

I couldn't do 100 squats yesterday, so today I'm doing 100 and 105, not all at once but I have the feeling I'll be a bit sore tomorrow when I have to do 110! Apparently my bum is firmer according to a guy I work with :P

I did a function yesterday ( my job) and I got home at about 4 in the afternoon, and I did my 110 squats...It is really feeling better and better...even though my legs felt a little like jelly for a few mins.

Today is rest day...THANK YOU REST DAY!!!

and tomorrow we do 130 and we are also starting with the push up challenge....I think im a little scared....

I did day 13 today, 130 squats, plus I started day one of the pushup challenge, tho I leaned against a fence I just can't do them normal yet

Just finished today's squats and pushups, 80 and 50 respectively! I am looking forward to tomorrows rest day on squats, but I'm so not sure about the jump to 100 squats on tuesday, I had to force myself through the last set today already!

Hey Fellow Squatters!!

Day 6 today. I'm lovin' this so much...I did 70 in the morn and 70 at night yesterday! 75 again this AM. The last 15 were "aerobic" squats just to get through! :faint: Started my own pushup regimen. 30, 31, 32, etc....I don't think I can increase in increments of 5 with these wimpy little flipper arms. I'm grabbing onto a metal bar for the pushups at the foot of my bed, so a little lower than waist-high. Palms up for half; palms down for half to work those triceps. Keeping my feet flat really stretches out the back of my legs...felt it in my ankles this AM!

wow! StartingAgain1...your butt must be irresistible!! My legs muscles are much stronger already with better definition....but not irresistible yet....!

Thanks for starting this forum....it's really motivating..... :carrot:

What's everyone think about next month change it to 30 day jumping squat challenge and add in the cardio? I think it would be awesome and a blast, of course after these ones are done!

I just found this thread and decided to give it a try! Day 1 and my thighs are on fire! I did 5 sets of 10 in the shower. I'm really excited about this. Now just need something for my flabby arms....anyone have a 30 day arm challenge? lol

we did our day 13 ...130. and we started with the push ups aswell 30...my arms and legs are not loving me right now...I went out this weekend and I am still stiff due to all the dancing and I was working aswell.....I am tired!!

I hope tomorrow it will go better when I had some rest and am feeling better.

I think those jumping squats are an awesome idea...what does everyone else think?? yay or nay?

It is my rest day for squats, I originally thought you all were crazy missing them but I find I am missing them today too! I still have my arms to do though, 55 today.

I don't know if I will be ready for jumping squats, but maybe! I was thinking that since I am doing half reg squats and half plie squats I would rest on day 31 then move back to day 13 but do the full amount of both. So day 30 is essentially 125 of each day 32 130 of each then follow the program's jumps again all the way until I am doing 250 of each type of squat.

Day 7 diddit.
Day 6--did an extra 50 and two rounds of pushups.
Getting a bit too ambitious, I think. I can feel the need for a break.

Ah 135 today broke them down 25 squats- 13 push ups- 25 squats -13 push ups- 25 squats - 13 pushups - 25 squats. Then I did a weight work out and did 35 squats right after. All within 10ish minutes!

I am not keeping track of my days very well--even using a spreadsheet!
I think I forgot my first rest day so I'm a day ahead.

Today:
100 squatty-squat-squats AND
40 pushy-push ups AND
25 min huffa puffa aerobics AND
~15 min hard-core stretchy-stretches AND
0.25 mile walk with hubba-hubba-hubby

not necessarily in that order
all after 9pm

CRY, fat cells CRY :carrot:


(oh...and under 800 cal....I have a MAJOR plateau to break...)
(I'm horrified to be plateau-ing at this enormous weight)

OK, day 10 of squats (105... well 106) and day 9 of pushups (60). Ive been doing reps of 10 but I'm thinking tomorrow I may up that to reps of 15.

I started today! I did the first 25 this morning and the second 25 this evening. I have an old groin pull injury that I REALLY don't want to activate, so I'm going to pay close attention to my body, but I'm going to give it my all. :D

Yesterday ( wednesday) was a public holiday in SA ( not sure about the rest of you guys) and I just rested...I was really So exhausted this past week, and I LOVED just relaxing abit. I am feeling so much better today.

So I did not do my squats nor my push ups yesterday, so I will do them today...just swap my rest day. 140 squats here I come!

Completed Day 4, 70 squats. I can't imagine what it's gonna be like when I get into the 100s! Everyone here is doing so awesome and I keep telling myself that I can do it to!!!

I totally doubted my ability to do 100+ too! but when I got there a couple days ago I managed it pretty easily. I'm sure it will be the same with you!

Today I have 110 squats and 65 pushups!

My legs hate me when I go up or down the stairs to my apartment but other then that I am doing ok!

Swapped my rest day for yesterday and did today's squats then and decided to rest today, I was going to run on a trail but it's been raining all day, like the entire day so frusterating.

Good morning! today is my rest day on squats, my legs will be glad for the break before trying to get 130 out of them tomorrow! Did my 70 push ups, I recently graduated myself from doing them in sets of 10 to sets of 15 so I am proud of myself.

I think at the end of the 30 days I will find a lower counter to lean against and restart from day 1

Did day 18 yesterday and I'm about to do an early gym run because it's the only time I have to do it today, and get atleast 3-5 miles in, I'd prefer to run outside but that isn't happening with the weather, so inside run followed by 160 squats and 55 push ups

Rest day for arms, did 130 squats. I am actually surprised that they aren't alot harder. I thought they would be impossible in the beginning but it is only the last 20-30 I struggle with and it isn't horrible

I have been having such a lazy sunday!!! I know I should be doing squats....and I will....It is just so nice to be off work and not having to do anything.

BUT 160 Squates will be done today...im SO happy it is a rest day for arms.....

I almost forgot to do my squats yesterday, and just before jumping into my bed I remembered...so I did my 160 before bed last night.

Day 13 for me and my knees are complaining......had a bad weekend nutritionally...grilled out all weekend and ate like there was no tomorrow ... and the scale informed me this a.m. with a 2# gain ;(......
Ahhh today is a new beginning! Take care and do those squats

So today is 180 squats....Im excited but nervous....I slipped and fell at work yesterday and all of my well rounded body came crashing down onto my left knee...... I struggled so hard to get up, and when I did the pain went shooting up my leg and I felt it into my hip bone...I really fell hard!!!

BUT we have 180 squats to do today.....I tried to see if I can squat and I seem to be able to, but 180 is another story my friends...I will do as many as I possibly can and then IF I do noty finish them now I will do the rest tonight to give my knee a little rest.:(

Question: to those that are doing the 100+ days, how are you doing them? Are you breaking them into sets, or are you doing them all at once?

I started the squat challenge today.. However I'm doing 3 types of squats - regular, wide stance, and plie... hopefully that'll work the most muscles possible. Excited for day 2!

I break them into sets, but I have since the beginning, I started with sets of 10 and now I calculate how to easily break them into 4 or 5 sets and rest for a few minutes between each set. so like today is 140, I do 2 types of squats so I can break it into 5 sets of 14 of each type.

I also add my arms into the sets so today for example I have 80 so that is 5 sets of 16. What I do is 14 reg squats 16 push ups, 14 plie squats then rest (x5)

I did day 1 and my knee was sore the next day. I will restart after my daughters wedding. I dont want to take a chance of hurting my knee.
Way to go to all who are doing it. I cant wait to start!

Day 9. I did 50 squats and 30 push ups before a 6 mile bike ride and the other 50/30 after in the gym's sauna since I had it to myself for once.

Are they getting easier for anyone? I haven't noticed a physical difference in my legs yet, but endurance-wise, I've shaved two minutes off my previous bike time.

One more day of squats for me, I would have been done but I had a rough two past days but I did my 240 today. 250 tomorrow! I did 95 push ups today, I may had to do 90 but I couldn't find the photo that said what so I did it anyways -.-

Well I finished the last day today, a whole week in between but I had a very hard week last week and just managed to get thru most days, but today I'm back and i finished the last day of squats... I need to find another challenge!

I am up to 130 squats today (Day 13) Did anyone see the scale go up? I have noticed that my scale went up after I started and its staying up. After my rest days it will dip down a bit up but then it will bounce back up when I start the squats again. I decided to stop weighing until after its over because its driving me crazy. Just curious.
