Exclamation One Week Challenge

Well, I believe today is the end of the Memorial Day Challenge. I don't weigh in until tomorrow, but I have a bad feeling that I have not quite met my goal.
The problem for me is weekends- I have only had one completely OP week in months. So I propose that we take it down to a one week challenge and see if this might help make us more successful as a group.
Anyone else want to join in? We need to support each other!
My goals are simple:
- Stay in my pts range EVERY day
- Walk at least 5 days for at least 20 minutes
- Do ab exercises 4 days
I will acheive these goals today, but the one week challenge will officially begin tomorrow- Tuesday. Let's do it!

Hi Saskie - count me in. Maybe short goals will work better for me since I won't have too much time to "keep making up for things I shouldn't have had". So, this week I will do my tapes at least 5 times, eat within my range & try one new recipe.
This weekend I will be in Niagara Falls for 2 nights for a dance competition - so once, again challenges with eating out.
Any tips would be appreciated. But for now lets have a good OP week.

Bye for now.

DAY ONE- ONE WEEK CHALLENGE!!!!

Bandit2- Are you IN the dance competition, or is it your daughter???? Wow, Niagra Falls, that sounds like fun! How far do you have to travel? I hope this 1 week challenge will help you!

Here's something that might perk us all up- what is your TOTAL weight loss so far?
Mine is ~41lbs! Even though I know I could be lower if I worked harder, I am still pretty proud of that!

Yesterday was good, OP and exercised. Now it is time for me to go wake up my sleepy baby and go for a walk before it gets to hot and humid again today!
Have a great OP day!

Welcome to the challenge, Ailee! Do you live in rural or urban Oklahoma? I am from a small city in Saskatchewan (Canada), but my dh has family in OK so we visited there a few years ago. The red soil was pretty cool! His family lives outside of OK City, near Chikasha. (No idea how to spell it!)
I went for a big walk to do errands with dd this morning. Besides the humidity, mosquitoes, and an angry 8 month old for the last 20 minutes it was a good walk!
Today is the quarterly blood drive in our city, so I am hoping to go donate for the first time since getting pregnant. I read in the paper that they are hoping to get the blood bank built up before mosquito season is in full swing!
Tonight I have to work my WW meeting, which means it is WI time. I only have 3 more weeks of working as head receptionist, then I will work occasionally as a "weigher" and attend the meetings the rest of the time- that will be nice!
Do you guys attend meetings, or just weigh in, or do it at home?
Have a great afternoon, I will be back later to report on how I came in on the Memorial Day Challenge!

Hi everyone:

It is my 17 yr old daughter who competes - tap & jazz.

Total loss so far is 22# (should be so much better). Keep losing & gaining the same 2# over & over again.

Niagara is really beautiful & lots to do (casino, tours, marineland, shopping, EATING, butterfly building, wax museums & lots more)

We live about 1-1/2 hours away & have been here several times over the years.

I attend the meetings on Mon night with 2 friends, but have just changed my w/i day to Thurs thinking I would have better results weighing in before the weekend - so far, not so.

Bye for now.

Just checking back in before I get off work!

I havent been on WW for long so my total loss is 4# (7.5 since I got home for summer)...I better lose a # this week cause I want that little book mark Never knew I could be so motivated by a piece of paper. I weigh in on Sat so I have a While to get it down. I wanna lose 1# at least..considering its Tuesday. I'm home for the summer in Texas so MOm is alot of help since she does it also. And it makes it where I only have to pay $6..I love the family plan. I wonder if I can get her to move to OK so I wont have to pay the $9...thats a couple of meals for a college kid

Saskie- I go to college at OCUSA which is supposed to be in OKC but is actually in Edmond....its about 45 minutes to Chickasha (I also dont have any idea how to spell it ) If you want the red dirt you can have it. We have it in GREAT abundance..take your pick..want it from Texas or Oklahoma?...lol.

Ya'll have a good night!!!! Wish they had one with a cowboy hat..that would have been perfect!!!

Wow, Bandit2, I had no idea you had lost so much- way to go! You have a lot to be proud of! Thats a good idea to change to Thursday if it helps you out- did your friends change too?
Ailee-Wow, they sure have different stuff in the US- we just get 5# stars here. A bookmark would be cool! Also, there is no family plan here-that would be a good motivator! It is 13.91 a week here. (Maybe because our money is down so much?!?)
What are you taking in university? What year are you in?
Do you like being home for the summer? Is there a city called Norman or something like that near Oklahoma City?
My dh's family lives in OK now, but is originally from Texas. His parents are going there to visit this summer- we decided not to go along, though, because it is way to far to drive with a baby!
One pound loss, especially at the beginning, is very reasonable. Good luck!
I had WI last night, and lost 2#. I think it is mainly because I donated blood, but whatever it takes to get me back in the 150's!! Now I have to really work hard this week, so that I don't gain it back next week!
Have a great day everyone!

Ya'll have both lost alot of weight! Thats so GREAT!!!

Tara~ The Family Plan is great if more than one person in your home is doing it. Mom pays 11.00 a meeting and I pay 6.00. When I go back up to OK it will go up to 9.00 because you have to be living under the same roof for it to work!
I'm a Junior business major..dont really ever want to use it....kinda wanna be a housewife or if i must work get my realtors license. Being home for the summer isnt real great but I could do worse. The oil company that dad works for has a program for the college kids who are home and the pay isnt wonderful 8.oo/hr. But all mom and dad are making me pay for is gas for my car. So its a good way to save money through the summer and this is my 3rd summer to be hired back so that will look great on a resume.
Norman (Home of the Sooners) is right outside of OKC also..between there and Chickasha. How did you and your DH meet?

Have a great day!!!

Wow, way to go Soccermom! Do you have 4 kids???

Ailee- you could totally be at goal by the time school starts again (september?) then it would be free!
DH grew up in the same city as me- we dated for awhile in high school, then hooked up when I was home for Christmas during university! His Dad moved to Canada when he was 18 or something.
Do you like your job? Do lots of your friends still live there too?
I am at home on mat leave right now, and it is so awesome!! Being a housewife would be ok!

Soccermom~ Welcome and congrats on the loss!

Tara~ I wanna be a mommy! But I must do things in the right order here. Graduate..marry..then baby! Mom says I have baby fever because anywhere we go i always make faces at the babies and try to make them smile! Did you have a boy or girl? My job is pretty repetitive because I reformat LAS data, but at least I know what I am doing and don't have to find someone to answer alot of questions. My parents moved after I graduated so I don't know alot of people here. But my closest friends are in CA. Philly or in El Reno ( my big sister)..about 35 minutes from Edmond. Needless to say..I spend alot of time on the internet trying to keep up with my "girls".

Ailee-That sucks that your friends are so far away! But at least you have the computer!
Being a mom is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced! It was very hard to wait through university, then until we got married- as soon as we were married I quit the pill. Our daughter was born the week before our one year anniversary!
Do you have a significant other, or is it just a baby you want?
We had talked about waiting until I had taught for a year or two, but I am so glad that we didn't wait. I couldn't imagine life without my dd!
How was your day for staying OP? Mine was good, although I only got about a 20 min walk and 50 abs in...pts wise it was fine. Tomorrow could be a challenge, going to a nearby city for the day with a friend. Hopefully we walk lots and eat little!
Have a great day!

Tara~ Yesterday was a great day OP actually so far this week has been awesome. Couldn't resist stepping on the scales this morning and it hasnt budged. So I dont really expect much at WI saturday, but its not here yet so there is still hope! And its TOM and usually that adds a few # to my weight, but I have stayed the same, so just maybe there will be a decent sized loss soon. No significant other....last semester I had 18 hours and was at a new uni so I didnt have lots of time to meet people. But I have one in mind to work on..and hes interested. So we'll see. Have a great time with your friend! I'm sure the two of you will have a ball!!!

Bandit2 & Soccermom~ How was your day OP yesterday?

Hi Saskie & Ailee:

Yesterday was a good day - stayed just under my point range & got in my exercise. Made dinner at bf while he cut his grass & dd was at dance. I made the diet cola chicken & it was great. Everyone really liked it - so that will become a regular thing for us. I try to make 1 new thing every week.

My upcoming challenge will be this weekend at Niagara. We are staying overnight 2 nights & will be eating out the whole weekend. I will take some point friendly snacks for the room.
My w/i is tonight & I don't know how that will go.
Will check in later - have a great OP day, everyone.
