I just want to say thank you for all the support I've gotten from this community all along the way from 265 lbs. Today I ran a 5K, which has been a goal of mine since I started losing on Christmas of 2011 and maybe even before that, although I wouldn't have admitted it.

I actually started training around 255 and couldn't finish. I fell out of the exercise habit and focused on eating right until 210 lbs. At 210, I started other types of exercise and around 200 I started jogging on a treadmill and then outside. I am still doing walking and jogging intervals and using my own version of the Couch to 5K program.

I am here to tell you that if I can do it, anyone can!

Awesome accomplishment; you look amazing! :carrot: I always had the impression that running was empowering, and often envied those that were able to do it. I had a few false starts but found my body simply wasn't ready until I reached down to the 220's.

I'm also doing my own version of C25K and plan on returning to intervals soon. I couldn't even run 10-15 seconds at first but can currently do half a mile non-stop. :) I can't wait to reach your level!

Once again, you're doing awesome! :carrot:

You look amazing and are inspiring!!

I have made a promise to myself that I will start intervals of running with my walking when I reach "overweight". I made that promise to myself when YOU started talking about running a 5K. Thank you for the inspiration!!

Don't wait, you can head out and start tonight, even if it's only 30 seconds of running and 2 minutes of walking :)
