I am so happy! Today I weighed in at 184.8, making my BMI 29.8!

I'm not obese for the first time ever! The last time I weighed this much I was 15 or 16 years old and not 5'6" yet, so even then I would have been considered obese for my height at the time.

Also, I am now 80% of the way to my goal! I can't even believe I've made it this far! Just 20 lbs to go!

Hope everyone else is having a great start to April!

That is great! I am at least two months away from being "over weight" so I envy you a bit :).

Time to go buy a new closet full of clothes :DD (Well, at least that's what I am looking forward to :P)

Congratulations Underwater!!! That is awesome, you have come so far and i'm sure you're looking amazing! I am pretty much starting off around the same weight where you were when you first started your weight loss journey. Any advice/tips you can give me?

Congrats! I know everyone is different, but since we have similar stats, I couldn't help but remember that hitting 185 was when I really started to feel healthy again. I felt so much less weighed down and more energetic. So, I hope you feel fantastic just like I did!

My advice is that no matter what, don't ever give up. If you check my weight loss chart by clicking my ticker, you will see that really struggled from September to January. I almost veered off course and back up toward 265. I had stopped weighing in and checking this forum. It could have been the end for me.

However, I decided that no, I knew I was in a moment I could regret for years and years if I made the wrong choice and I didn't want to live with that regret. I changed my plan completely- from healthy choices and limited portions to a doctor-supervised prescribed food plan to find a way to keep going.

If something isn't working for you- change it! Don't give up! You can do it! I am so happy I found a way to soldier on in the face of challenge.

Thanks!! :) This last 5lbs to get to onederland is going to kill me though! I was flying along and then hit a wall, these 1.6lb losses a week are for the birds!! At least by May 1st I should be there!!

I just read your post about your dresses, so happy for you!! I wore a pretty peach/black/white flowery dress yesterday for Easter and my husband loved it, he even said it looked so Spring-y (he's not like that, you know?). I felt really good and really pretty even though we just stayed home.

I saw too that you wrote about clicking on your tracking bar and can see the progress, how awesome is that?!?!? Is that a different site than 3FC? I loved it!

Can I ask you? And please ignore if this is too personal...I'm the same height as you so I compare myself to everyone even though you are much younger than me. :) Are your dresses a size 14? I'm DYING to be in a 14 by Memorial Day so I can hopefully wear a plaid dress I saw at LL Bean. It's a casual style that I hope I can pull off at the BBQ we go to. I'm not going to buy it yet, but it's a mini goal for me!

This is really exciting news. Congrats.

I hadn't seen the obese chart before and never thought it applied to me, but apparently I am also obese. I think those numbers are really harsh and unrealistic. I need to lose another pound so I can be "only" overweight. Thank goodness the number is close for me.

I am a pretty solid 14 at this point. Of course there were a few 14s on Saturday that were too small, but isn't that always how it is? I have a pretty big belly because that is where I carried my weight so I look for a-line and empire waist dresses. At Old Navy I'm a 12! Yay vanity sizing!

Awesome ty!!! And I do love vanity sizing!! I hope my sizes move faster once I get to onederland!! But I do love saying I'm a 16 since now I officially have 2 pairs of jeans in 16 that fit!!! (Doesn't matter that I'm still wearing my 18s in other brands too LOL!)

Thanks so much!!

LOL. When I first read the thread title I thought this would be a April Fools joke thread. But then I saw your post and it all made sense. Congrats!

I never calculated my BMI until now! I just found out that my goal weight is in the "overweight" range, just a hair under "obese".
