I was going to post this on the WW Food Issues board, but noticed it doesn't get much traffic...
I ate a bag of lite microwave popcorn today, which works out to 3 servings. (1 serving = 3 cups) Well, when I put it in my online journal (at weightwatcher.com), it came up to 5 points. So, if I ate 9 cups spaced in 3 cup intervals throughout the day, it would be 3 points, but because I ate it all at once, it's 5 points? That doesn't make any sense. I've also had this problem with veggies (1 c. snow peas = 0 points, but 2 c. snow peas = 1.5 points).
I posted my question over at weightwatchers.com and got one answer. She said that it has something to do with the fact that the fiber on the points calculator only goes to 4 g., so if there's more fiber than that, the extra fiber doesn't figure into the calculation.
So....should I count that bag of popcorn as 3 points or 5 points?
Thanks for your help!
