Default At what age did you get cellulite?

I was quite fat at age 12, and had cellulite grooves on my thighs. That is the age I realized I have a problem. In Japan we wear schoolgirl skirts, and I had huge legs so I was embarrassed on the train.

It continued getting worse. Now I am 36 and it is very bad. I look horrible in a swimsuit.

I remember being in a dance costume at a performance my little team did when I was about 13. We were invited to do a routine as an intermission entertainment at a bodybuilding competition... We were posing in the mirrors backstage like the bodybuilders and flexing out booties in our leotards. I remember posing on front of the mirror and a few of my teammates started making fun of my cottage cheese- I never even knew that anything was "wrong" with me until then- I was actually really skinny too- you could count my ribs easily when I was little, but I still had cellulite. To this day I am extremely self-conscious about it.

I was 14 when a boy in class pointed at my cellulite and said "what's that?". I was only about 110 lbs but felt super embarrasses. I had just signed up for weight training and with in a month it was gone. I had very strong legs and the heavy lifting improves it. Now at 123 I have mild cellulite, gotten rid of a lot of it since i started working out in November but it's not coming off as easy since it is 20 year later. Thinking I need a gym membership to get back to using the leg sled.

Your story is like mine and how something that happened so long ago while we were so thin has affected us so long. I try to teach my kids that saying something mean might just affect a person for life.

I wasn't even an overweight child and I had cellulite by the time I was 11. No one has ever pointed it out to me, but I've always been quite aware of its existence. Very cellulitely butt and thighs.

I was in middle school, so about 12.

I had totally just come to terms with always having bad legs. But I swear to you, since I've been lifting heavy, my legs have smoothed out a ton, I don't have much cellulite left on my legs at all!!! At 30 my legs look better than they ever have! Now if my butt would just take a lesson from my legs. I'm sure it'll get there.

I was that oddly obese girl who had no cellulite. Lots of fat, but all very smooth. It's been kind of a disappointment that once I lost the weight, I ended up with extra wrinkly skin instead of looking like the bikini model I had planned on resembling.

Same here, only I'm not on the other side of my weight loss yet. I've been up and down the scale my whole life, although for the first 30 years I was more overweight than downright obese. Even now at my weight and age 40, I still don't have cellulite. My grandmother and mother are the same. So while I am fat, it's a smooth kind of fat. I can't say that makes it much better and sadly, it'll be a floppy kind of thin but that's why God gave us Spanx
