I'm starting my Earth Day Challenge at 208 - I would like to stay on plan and lose 6 pounds by April 22. This should bring me very close to that magical place "Onederland"!!!!

Happy Monday - Just checking in and happy to report 207 this morning - actually surprised that the scale moved because I thought I would see 208 for quite awhile so maybe I'll see 207 for a little bit. Down 18 pounds all together since mid January and my son and daughter actually noticed a difference - not sure my husband sees it yet!!!

I'm at 177.2 as of this morning. Let's hope for a whoosh in the next few days. It's well overdue.

I ate some gross roast meat for lunch. Well, barely ate. And a had a boiled egg with mayo. More eggs for dinner. Hopefully the scale will show a big drop tomorrow...

I'd like to see 156 by that day. My weight bounced up a little so I was around 161 this morning. 5 lbs a month is usually what I can do if I'm good.

HI all, would like to join in on this challenge. I'm 224 today and hoping that by April 22 I can lose at least 5 lbs. I'm a member of the slow losers club, lol!

I'm at 196 this morning so I'll join with a goal of being 192 by Earth Day. It's been slow going the last few weeks so I'm going for 4 pounds but hopefully will be pleasantly surprised by more. :)

Hello all : ) Its Springtime and the energy is bursting inside (us? or the flowers? ) I think we all can do it!

Love this time of year for walking. It smells so nice outside and its not too hot - tho here in SE coastal Florida... April starts to get hot and humid.. but good for sweating that lovely water out!! :)

Good job wannaskipandlaugh! I'm still at 177. I think I'm going overboard with the mayo. Once this last bit is finished (hopefully by tomorrow), I'm going to cut it out and see what happens :)

California..... :) I also use mayo too on my turkey/cheese roll ups.. as you can have full fat mayo (I like Miracle Whip tho) <--- That I have to use so sparingly as it tastes sooooo sweet to me now LOL

We will do it! So many have before us so we know its possible. :)

Hi - Still hanging on at 207 today but I expected to be here for a little while!! Can't wait to see 206 or 205 - waiting makes it seems slow but I keep reminding myself that I weigh less every month that goes by. I met a man this week who lost 50 pounds since January and that just seemed too fast - not sure what he is doing - but to me the risk is fast lost = fast re-gain! Slow and steady here!!! Happy Friday!!

178! I feel so bloated and yuck. I've thrown the mayo in the bin. I read the ingredients and it was 75% highly processed sunflower oil (literally said highly processed). God knows what was in it. Also sugar but mayo has never caused problems before.

Today, eggs and turkey so fingers crossed I pee out these few pounds that are stalling me :p

sigh.. I gained (alittle but argh) First time I went off plan since 1/6.... I had a coke as my tummy was not happy last night and that is what our family does to get the icky out and thru the system. It tasted sooooooo good (sugar yowza) but it was just a one time thing and it helped me. LORD the sodium in that coke yikes!

Back on plan :) I hope everyone is doing great!

Had my cheat meal on Friday, which was sushi. We do it every two weeks for pay day. It was good and I kept it just to that one meal. Back on track since then and had a drop to my new lowest weight :)

Need to get back to working out consistently again. I didn't work out at all last week due to the fact our shower was broken and I just didn't want to make myself sweatier than I had to. The week before I did really well though. This week I want to be more consistent with my exercise.

@StephanieM, I wish I could do a cheat meal. I would go crazy on peanut butter and Nutella. I'm craving it worse than a drug addict even though I'm nearing the 3 week point. All I need is a jar of each, fresh bread, a toaster, and I would be the happiest camper on site :p but I plan on sticking to this till I'm at goal, then having a buckwild day of sugar and carbs, then back to maintenance.

Hope I'm in the 175's tomorrow aghhh!

California, it used to set me off for a long time when I had a cheat meal but I do better with them these days. And I still count my calories on that day so that I make sure I'm not eating too much. Since it's usually sushi for lunch I have chicken and steamed asparagus for dinner since it's low calorie and low carb.

Bobbette, it actually isn't snowing for once! Ever since we had that big dump in October it's been non stop winter for almost 6 months now. It's actually sunny today but was -13 earlier. I like when it gets nicer out, since it motivates me to be more on plan with exercise and eating.

Still can't get rid of the extra pounds I gained while on vacation:( I'm planning another vacation in June, so I need to learn to stay on track while traveling. I don't know why I go crazy eating everything in sight and then pay for the consequences for weeks after I get home. I should know better by now.

It's Monday, let's do this!!

prettymom Vacations are hard, because you let your guard down and have fun. That's what it is for to relax... But I bet you ate better than you would have if you had not started this healthy eating?! It will go away.. as they say.. you would have to eat more than 3500 extra calories in order to gain a lb... so most of it is water and that does go away. :)

I agree... LETS KICK BUTT! I wanna be lighter too :)

I can't do cheat meals anymore either, because it turns into cheat day, then cheat weekend, then it takes an entire week to get it all back off. But I find I'm not really craving anything this time around so that helps.

The whoosh fairy has smiled on me and I'm down 4 pounds since last week - happy dance!!!

Hi,

I'm having a good week. I've stayed on plan so far. I had to go out to lunch today, but I resisted all carbs.

One of my neighbors is a photographer, and she offered to do a portrait session for me and my kids for free to celebrate that I'm done with the cancer treatments. I'm sure the pictures will be beautiful even if I'm heavier than I would like to be.

Let's make it an awesome Tuesday!!

Bobbette..... Oh so good for you getting 4 lbs down from last week. I am jealous... :) but so very HAPPY for you.

Prettymom.... That is so nice of your neighbor and so proud of you to go thru those treatments. That takes so much strength of body and character. You are amazing... and avoiding carbs at lunch icing on the cake! :)

I am back down to 279 Yeah.. I like the lower decade... I should be good tomorrow too as I never ate lunch today (learning for a new job). Looking forward to a salad and I am cooking up some flavorful and fatty bratwursts... I am craving salt... oh oh

Crap..... back up to 280 STRESS water is sticking to me. 1st day of the brand new job and it did me in already. Tho I only had 1 food off plan Low carb tortilla... Still only did 22 carbs for the day. Lets hope the water goes away

Love the Yo Yo LOL Back down to 279.5 . I realize how much stress my type of job puts on me. Which I know helps me retain water. My feet were swollen last night when I got home and I work in an office and did not move much (so no pounding and me feet don't swell when I walk my 2.5 miles... so it must be stress). Something for me to remember!

I finally went down and am so happy down to 278 finally. I am just 3 lbs away from losing 10% which I had set out for my Bday 5/5.. I think I am going to get to that number early April instead of May and then be even lighter by my birthdayl. HAPPY SUE here!

Hi all!!

Had a massive road trip this week! Stayed on plan except for half a dozen pieces of fruit over the week but I had massive ketosis breath even during the fruit-eating. I feel like I overate, so I don't expect a great weigh in tomorrow morning, but will weigh regardless if I have a nice sleep. Over the next few weeks, I'm going to cut portions and fat a bit. I also need EXERCISE bad!! Gonna do some walking tomorrow, and April 1 I may do a water fast day. MAY being the keyword ;p

California.... GOOD FOR YOU to stay close to plan while on a road trip. That is always a test. Walking is a good thing.... mentally and on your muscle tone :) Hope you had a very nice sleep. :)

Lulu :lol: I always said that they made the holiday after I was born LOL but it just became US popular in the last 20 years (any reason for a party right?!) LOL I have never gone to a Mexican restaurant on my birthday. Gonna have to do that sometime. AND GOOD FOR YOU! Down 2 lbs this week and 19 in 3 months.. oh YEAH BABY! That gives me hope that I can still lose significant amount of weight when I am wayyyyy closer to goal. You are the proof. :congrat: and ONDERLAND... its a coming to get you ahah... I am thinking really soon.

Our journeys to lose weight... we do find out things about ourselves. Our strengths and our weeknesses, our triggers and our mind that finds other ways to pleasure itself besides food.

Wannaskipandlaugh 8.5 pounds in a month is wonderful!!! Keep up the good work!!!

I am still at 206 this morning - but I'm not looking for a big jump this week. I ate larger portions on Sunday but did not indulge!! That's a win for me - Sometimes I find it hard when I get a whiff of bread or other baked goods and my boss sent Easter candy and cookies!!! I didn't touch them but I wish she had sent cheese or something!!

I've been thinking a lot about my next two goal weights and I settled on 177 and 153. Slim Fast has this BMI and weight loss calculator on their site that I think is easy to use. (For the record: I do not use Slim Fast) Of course, my first goal is Onederland, then 177. At 177 lbs, I will go from obese to overweight. At 153, I would move from overweight to appropriate (but at the top of my BMI range)

You might be wondering why I have put so much thought into this or am overthinking this....it's because I've been down this road before and as an adult the lowest weight I've gotten to is 178. The reality is it was very hard for me to get there and hard to maintain....so I'm worried about failing.....

I'm still refusing to change my sig to reflect the recent weight gain, but the scale is moving ever so slooooow. I was hoping it was just water weight and it would come off easily, but that wasn't the case. I just need to accept that this weight is my new weight and move on. I'm going to try to weigh in daily to help me stay motivated.

Prettymom Before I even joined the forum the goals people posted scared me - I'm trying to think differently this time around - my husband told me I was doing a good job on Sunday!! (I didn't even think he noticed - only the kids so far - guess I was wrong!!) I really like the mini goals because it seems easier - and I really like the signatures on the forum with 1 icon for x pounds lost - breaks it down into smaller pieces.

Hi Everyone - Up very early this morning - low battery chirp on the carbon monoxide detector!!!! Happy to report 204 this morning!!! (Totally unexpected) So glad to be moving in the right direction!!

Wannaskipandlaugh The flucuations on the scale are normal from day to day and you are right sometimes it sets the tone for the day!!

It's been beautiful this week and when I got home it seems like the dirt roads have dried out - gonna have to go for a walk!!! Planning a low carb picinic this weekend for a lacrosse jamboree!!

I am up again :( for some reason this whole 1st week of my new job I have held water like crazy. My blood pressure is fine but my feet are so swollen. I am hoping that sitting with my feet up tomorrow will help. I did have an NSV (I take my measurements every month) I have lost 8 1/2 inches since 3/5 just using my right side.... Calf/thigh/hips/waist/chest/upper arm/neck Every place I lost. My clothes are alot looser. Oh Happy Day!

OH yeah.. I finally got rid of that extra 1 1/2 I gained back this weekl .. back down to my ticker 277.5 I am so happy... but even happier as my inches went down (right side only) 8 1/2 in a month; my chest the most (of course LOL) This is the bestest news... NOW to get going on the poundage loss. YEP... I wanna be 10% off by next Friday (I think that this is my swoosh week)

I know there is only ladies on this thread.. but lets kick butt ladies and gentlemen!!

Happy Sunday - Still hanging out at 204 today - focusing on enjoying the journey - today I took measurements and compared to clothing size charts because I wanted to have a realistic idea of where I could be....at my two other goals 177 and 155 (besides Onederland - which still seems so close yet so far away). I am going to work on my April, May, June calendars too so that I have a plan in place - seems more solid for me if I am writing things down - I need a "map" so I know where I am going and stick to a program!!!

Wannaskipandlaugh You rock!!! Congrats on 30 pounds down!!!

Oh Lulu... Good for you to have a map. and you are down lbs this week.. WAY TO GO!! I just go day by day. But the measuring.. OH YEAH. That has been a savior for me on the down days. I measure myself (right sides only) once a month and there is always a happy difference every month.

We are on a lovely journey. Some bumps.. but there is a very nice and happy goal at the end. (besides a whole new wardrobe LOL)

Well still the same... But still did not bump up either... I think I am going to cut down on some of my cheese. (I have 3 slices a day 1 for each meal) Lets see what happens then.

I tell you.. I am so glad that I took my measurements as I had another side shot picture taken of me last night to compare with one I had 1 month ago and there is so little difference drats.,,, Just my arms just alittle less overhang on the elbow. But the inches went DOWN by 8 1/2 so there was a real difference Maybe next month! :)

I haven't taken any pictures but I can tell in the mirror and by my clothes. On the road and I can't weigh until Friday - hoping for 204 or less - eating on plan but had a large portion last night so I know not to expect a miracle.......portions, portions, portions.......will get me to Onederland. I think I need to write Onderland on a card to remind me where I am going!!! and to improve my focus!!!

Weighing twice... not to worry... some days you are just searching for a "good news" for your self and sometimes the scale giveth and sometimes it does not (and in my case) I usually look to the fridge for answers LOL Have a great day Lulu

Happy Friday - 204 today!!! Hoping for 203 by Monday!!!My goal was 202 for this challenge but I am ok because I weigh less than I did last month!!! Oh and my victory of the week - I wore a belt yesterday!!! I can't remember the last time I did that.....and I am an apple-shape so my waist is the last thing to come into line!!!

Still reporting 204 this morning - hoping to be surprised tomorrow but totally realistic - Wow Wannaskipandlaugh another 1/2 pound!!! So awesome!! Went shopping in my closet yesterday!!! Found some tops that fit fine already - bottoms not so much!!! Are you interested in a Mother's Day Challenge?

and I know what you mean about shopping in your closet. I have on a pair of pants that I have not worn in 5 years.... Oh Bright orange and yellow... vacation colors... but they fit :D

Early morning - road trip again - 203 today!!! Yahoo!! Lost 5 pounds during this challenge!!!!!!Memorial Day it is!!! I'll be able to weigh and post again on Thursday....so thankful for the support on this forum!!!!

Oh YEAH for you Lulu and I hope the road trip is easy and you can find the right foods...

I got close to my goal ended up at 271.5 (gained 1/2 lb from sodium I am sure from my Cracker Barrel breakfast yesterday... 2 eggs, sausage and bacon and thats it... looked at the Hash browns and the sour dow toast and said NOPE)

Time for the next challenge!!
