Default Health/Food/Exercise Documentaries?

Hey, I am just wondering the names of some documentaries that are related to health/food/exericise.. things like that. I remember there is one "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" and "Food Inc". Does anyone have any suggestions for others?

This probably isn't what you're looking for, but I thought "Marathon Boy" was not only really well done, but also quite thought provoking... And for some reason I find it very motivating... I mean if this little kid can run marathons under pretty brutal conditions... well, then I really shouldn't ever be complaining about my training...

I really liked "Forks over Knives", and then "Supersize me" and "Fat Head" were interesting to watch- they are both conflicting ideas but it was interesting to see different takes on different types of eating..

"Sugar: the bitter truth" can be found on youtube and I loved that also!

I second danzingurl's suggestion of "Forks Over Knives". Also, my husband and I watched "Vegucated" on Netflix last night, and it was pretty good, as well.

Someone just recommended to me "Hungry for Change." I found that you can rent it on iTunes, which I plan to do. I looked at the trailer and it looked really good.

I'd also like to see "Pandora's Lunchbox" by Melanie Warren but not sure if there is a documentary or just the book.

Also I highly recommend the documentaries (on YouTube) by Michael Pollan.

I second the "Vegucated" recommendation. DH and I really enjoyed it. Interesting concept - it follows a few New Yorkers who agree to go vegan for 6 weeks, and documents their journey, struggles, and successes.

Watching 'Hungry for Change' on Netflix right now, and it reminded me of this thread. Came back to say that it's really interesting so far and see others have already recommended it! Haha. I just wanted to add that I [third] the suggestion.

ETA: Okay, I just finished watching it. I definitely think everyone should see this movie.

"Hungry for Change" is available for rental on YouTube as well. I've been debating about renting it since there is so much good free stuff available on YouTube and Hulu.

"Food Fight" by Michael Pollan is very good. You can watch it free on Hulu

"Chow Down" is also good...and free on Hulu

The Skinny on Obesity is a series of small documentaries about Sugar: The Bitter Truth. All free on youtube and they are awesome!

My votes go to Forks over Knives, Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, Food Matters and Hungry for Change. I have watched all three at least three times each. Love them all! Very motivating!
