Ok, everybody, here is our brand new Thread. :) I can't believe we are on NO. 100. That's great. It means we have a lot to talk about. I'll just do a short post and come back later. I went to the dentist and that tooth that gave me trouble and the four teeth beside it are not doing to good. The dentist feels its just better to leave them all alone and just come in for cleanings. He said they have all had root canals done on them (30 yrs ago) the teeth are kind of wiggly, and the chances of him doing all the work to remove the existing caps etc etc and the teeth being ok are slim. To have the work done he estimated around $20,000.00, and no guarantees. BROTHER
Talk to you all soon

Reminder: Thread No. 98 goes on to a second page. :)

Slavika: Love little Ralph there! How could you ever get mad at him???
Im lucky. I have good nails. Dont know why just do. Everyone thinks I get them done, but its just little old me doing them. Glad suzanne got the email thing fixed. 20,000$ You have got to be kidding?

Karen: So glad DH got something to help him. That was so nice of you to send the card of encouragement. Those little things help. Theres a girl in my class that has lost 80 pounds to and its awesome. She is doing so well. Bet the girl in your class feels super!

Trudy: It should work. Hit the reload button. I changed the link to 3FC board when it moved. BBC's My favorite are Peanut Butter and Mocha Chip. Yes the points did go up 4-6 points now. They changed the recipe and you can check it out here:
http://www.bakersbreakfastcookie.com/

Peggy: When the survey is done do they tell you want it is? Sounds so fun what you are doing. Congrats on the loss!

WOW Thread 100...

Lily I can use my shortcut through the wgbcreations now :) Peanutbutter and Mocha sounds good to me, I've jotted that down.

Slavika $20,000.00 for teeth? :dizzy: That is way to much... I would play the waiting game with them, they might stay this way for a long time. What do you think about Peanutbutter Mocha? Sound good to you too? Hmmmmmm?

Peggy I think the studies you do would be interesting. I like trying out new products too. The only studies we get are health ones. My DH got into a Lung Health Study 13 years ago, and it helped him give up the :smoking: habit he had for 37 years.

3FC e-mail..can't seem to stop it. I click no on getting it, I have unsubscribed and they still come. Anyone else have any luck? :?:

Be back later, I am going to watch Survivor and then continue searching for the "perfect" Avatar :D

LILY "Little Ralphie" LOOKS sweet and innocent, but trust me when I tell you he is a mean one. Today is the second day that he has NOT delivered my e-mails. He allows me to "think" I have sent them....but do the people get them...nooooo. Told you mean as a rat. :D
TRUDY I am not receiving any more 3FC e-mails but then you know who might have a hand in that too but I don't think so...since I receive others. They just don't get mine. :?: About the cookies, because I don't like coffee I don't really care for"mocha" flavored stuff. I sent you an e-mail telling you I like the, fruit and nuts and the, oatmeal and raisin I think it was. Course you never got the e-mail. GRRRR :dz:
I looked them up today and I think it was Lily who gave the web address and they are smaller in size now and each cookie has 270 cal to 290 cal. (I think it said) For that many calories they should be really good cookies.
Talk to you all soon....

I just wanted to check in with you guys one more time . The rest of my day is going to a flurry of activity. All of you take care and kept on losing.

Peggy I think I read where you have lost a pound Good going. Doesn't it feel good to be in control. From my own experiance I know that when I've got my weight in control that the rest of my life is in control too.

Well I'm out of here. See you at the end of the month. I may check in on you at my SIL she has a web tv so Ill see if I can operate it.

Me again,

I just realised I posted on the 'old' thread (99).
So here it is again!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

G'day all,

Still very limited with my internet access, however I take every opportunity that I get albeit for only a short time
It is really nice to get a chance to read what you are all up to, love your avatars!!!!
I am well and adjusting to life in very busy Sydney.
The apartment is very posh and by serviced it means that each day someone comes to make the bed and do a bit of a tidy and twice a week the place is vacuumed and once a week the sheets and towels are changed.
I think it is a little over the top for someone to make the bed each day after all I have nothing else to do but I am happy for someone to vacuum and change the sheets.
I hope to try and find some sort of course to do in the 4 months that I am here. I am not really fussed what I do as long as I learn something and have a bit of a commitment with something whilst I am here.
I have searched the net and have found a few things worth following up. In the meantime I am knitting furiously to try and get the jacket finished for my daughter, I have a few books on the go and I am trying to straighten out some of the files on my laptop.
Speaking of books, whilst in Hong Kong I read a book called 'Wild Swans' it was a true story of 3 women, grandmother, mother and daughter and how they experienced China before, during and after the time that Mao came to power. If you get a chance to read it I would highly recommend it.
Take care all,
Cheers
Maria

Hope you dont mind. I copied your message over here so it wouldnt get missed.

Good Grief! I had bookmarked the old site with the message about updating the
site. I just kept going to it all week and it never changed. Today I finally thought it
might just be bookmarked to that message and it was. So, anyway I found myself
here. What a change! I hope I can follow Lily's instructions about getting an
avatar(?). First thing, I don't know where my "Profile" is. Whoops! Just found it! How
is that for being computer illiterate? Have patience!

This is a cool looking site!

Karen - I am so sorry to hear about your BIL. It is just never easy to say good-bye to
anyone.

So glad Dee was looking good too. Wasn't she supposed to have a procedure in
March that would help her?

I have so been needing to talk to you all! I have been OP for 2 weeks and, I mean,
OP (perfect). I have lost .4 pounds and yesterday a whopping .2 pounds! I am going
to try something new. I have been going after work. I have a real problem in that I
drink all the time. Yesterday I estimated that by the time I went to WW I had drunk
100 ozs. of liquid. (I know I am weird.) To not be able to drink or eat before WW
would just be too much for me, I know. Anyway, I am going on Monday to weigh in
on my break at 10:30. I can refrain until 10. And I will see what I really weigh. Do
you think that is a good suggestion? This is what I have come up with.

Boy, is my post a plain-jane! I will try to work on it!

Trudy: I read somewhere here that if you subscribed to some forums you will still get emails. So if you did Go into your profile and click on the unscribe to any that you did subcribe to. I just did and I will see if I still get emails.

Slavika: Oh poor Ralph, hes just trying to help you!

Karen: See you when you get back.

Maria: Sounds really nice to have someone do all that for you. I could handle it!

Glenda: Good to see you made it back! As far as the water, if you always drink that much before WI and WI at the same time it really shouldnt make that much difference. Consistancy is the key. Our you weighing your food again? Sometimes that helps.

I am trying to post again. This is the third time. I don't know where my posts are going. One time they said I was unregistered. The other time I made the mistake of activating spell check and lost the whole thing. This is a trial to see if it goes through.

The funniest thing happened while I was trying to get into this thread. When I logged on to the favorites, it said the thread was being updated. Well, I knew it was back up, so I just typed in 3fatchicks.com and you wouldn't believe what popped up. It was a porno site. I doublechecked to see if I had misspelled anything, but it was correct. I zapped that site and tried the bookmark again and got the not available message. So I tried typing 3fatchicks again and it worked. Who knows how I ended up at the other place. I guess I will have to change my bookmarks.

Have been MIA for a while. Did anyone miss me? I was out of town for a week. We were also offline for a while because my DH changed ISP's again. He has decided that there is too much free internet out there for us to pay money. So far, I am unimpressed. We are thinking of switching to DSL. Does anyone have it?

Slavika, I like the cookie recipe that you make better thn Baker's. I think they are overpriced. I bought some of them and was disappointed. They came out to be $1.89 apiece. Too high! Not worth that price. And, the recipe has changed. They have reduced the size, reduced the fiber, and raised the calories. And they call that improved. I don't think so. The one you found and gave us the address for is much better. I have made 4 batches now and been very pleased. I use the little tart pans that you can get at Bed Bath and Beyond and divide the recipe into 6 cookies. I am going to try some this weekend using the prune puree instead of applesauce.

My little First Place group is going great guns. We are losing weight and developing a closer relationship to the Lord. It is helping me so much. I have been OP for 32 days now and feeling great.

My e-mail address has changed again. If you need it, I changed my profile to reflect the new one.

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Hi Geri,

So funny how this happened to you. I told one of my co-workers about 3FC's website & that it was so supportive & how I spend alot of time here to keep me motivated. She went home & typed in the address of 3FC's to find a porno site! The next day she was looking at me funny but never mentioned it until one day I asked if she ever checked out the website I had mentioned. She started  That's when she told me what happened. I was sooooo embarrassed. :o
Can't wait till Monday to tell her your story.

Have a great weekend & God Bless ;)

Lily - Yes, I measure everything. I usually have a 4 point bowl of oatmeal for breakfast and then a WW meal for lunch and for supper I am very precise about measuring. I just cannot understand why in the first 2 weeks I have lost .6 pounds.

Are any of you taking HRT in any form at all?

Please share.

Hi for the second time, This stupid computer just lost my first post or maybe it is the person that is typing it. Slavika I would have had a heart attack in the chair when the dentist said $20,000. That is unreal. Glenda a dr. on Oprah the other said to eat most of your food in the morning at at lunch and to eat lightly in the evening. I only saw that 5 minutes of the show but something like that might help. Try doing some different exercise. Geri I have free internet. For some reason I don't get the banners and ads. I am not complaining. I don't know why I don't. Maria enjoy the luxury while you can. It sounds soooo nice. Good going on your weight loss group. My arthritic finger hurts from typing. Have a good night, Peggy

Trudy

Peggy I saw that Oprah program, it was about Menopause. They said if you eat your larger meal at lunch and had the smaller meal at supper, you could lose weight easier. I personally feel better when I have a lighter supper, but I haven't noticed any loss.
Lily check your e-mail.. HELP! :o I haven't been getting any more e-mail confirmations on the posts. But I do want to be notified when there is a PM for me, I click YES and when I come back it will say NO :nono:
Carree The first HRT I had was Estriol, and Prometriem, now they didn't work for me. I was very edgy and had headaches taking it, and that surprised the Doc. :?: Anyway now I take CES Conjugated Estrogen and Medroxy and have no problems at all. Sometimes I think it is trial and error to see what works for you.
Hi Geri...YES, you were missed. Don't go away anymore :^: . We have DSL for our Internet Service and like it. It is a very fast connection. On one of the other sites someone said they liked the homemade BBC better than the bought ones too. WTG ... on program for 32 days.
A Porno sight called 3fatchicks? We had better warn anyone we tell to come here for information.
Glenda I think you will have more success with a morning weigh in. Isn't it frustrating to rely on the number, I keep telling myself not to do that, but......
Maria I have heard about the book "White Swans", it is on my read list. Now that I know someone else liked it I will see if the Library has it. You are going to become a "Lady of Leisure" in Sydney. That sounds good to me.
Slavika I forgot you don't drink coffee and that you are a tea lover :dizzy: .

As I am posting, I read just below and see Options: and a Show Signature box, and below that .. Attach File, is that where you add the signature to the post? If I put a picture and text in My Documents and then click on Browse would the Signature come there? I'll bet Lily knows the answer???????

Hi Everybody
Geri I missed you. Thanks for your input about the Baker cookies.
Livingfit LOL I can imagine the co-workers face when she first visited the site that "YOU" gave her the address to. That is too funny, and to tell her you spend a lot of time there, lol lol :D
Trudy Am I the only one who see's the humor in your avatar....an ice-cream cone on a weight loss board. Only you my friend, only you....I love it ;)
Peggy I guess you know that I have no intention of spending $20,000.00 on my teeth. LOL. Geez ALL my body parts don't add up to that. I guess when he came up with that amount of money, half would have been used up to undo the old work, and to make up a temporary bridge while the work was being done. Then he would have had to do 5 root canals over again with their caps and then make a permanent bridge. I'll just do what he said, go in every three months or so for a cleaning on them and try and hang on to them as long as I can. I have to use one of those little "proxabrushs". Well that is probably more information then any of you wanted to know about my teeth. LOL :D
Carree I am taking Ogen 0.75mg (Estropipate) .
and then I also take Gen Medroxy 10 mg (Medroxyprogesterone ). I take the Ogen for 60 days and then the Progesterone for 10 days. I have been on the same medication for 4 years and no problems. I have never tried anything else.

Well I had my hair cut today, and must say I'm looking rather "fine". So if any of you see this silver haired gal
with a rather youthful hair cut cleaning her teeth with a little proxabrush in a McDonalds somewhere.....It's me.

Night all.

Trudy I just sent you an email. I take it this is the image you want to use? Ignore the first one. The second one will tell you that the feature to use the Image in the signature is turned off.

Geri: I have DSL and love it. It is more money so DH might not want to go that route. But it is fast and I wouldnt go back to dial up for nothing.

Caree: I have been on Estrogen since I was 35. I had it removed back then due to problems. I take a mild tablet daily and have since then. Im so use to it now I havent even bothered to check out any of the Natural ones. So Im no help there!

Trudy: For the Private messaging you need to go under Edit Options. Make sure Enable Private Messaging is marked with a Yes. You can also mark the Email notifaction with a yes or No and the Send you a pop up box when you get a message Yes or no. The box will pop up if you are on the message board and you have a private message. It will not pop up if you are not on the board. Its a nice feature. I would mark yes to enable and yes to this. But leave the email at No if you dont want an email sent. Then click submit Modifactions at the bottom.
The light at the bottom will also show if you have a private message. Love your ice cream cone! Its very cute!

Slavika: I kinda figure Trudy would come up with something like the Ice Cream cone. Then she wants an an angel at the bottom. Think people will believe her? :) We will tell them the truth and set them straight. (Just kidding Trudy!!) I have a proxabrush to! I also have to go in every 6 months. Hate it! But its better than your 3 months. Ill meet you at McDonalds with my proxabrush! Will have an Ice Cream cone with Trudy! LOL!

Hope you are all having a more exciting Saturday night than I am. Nothing exciting is happening here. Was that you I saw in McDonald's Slavika. There was a silver haired gal in the playland brushing her teeth. Lily thanks for the avatar lesson - I finally figured it out. Carree I take Premarin. Peggy, it's a dull Saturday night here as well. Thanks to all of you for your replies re: HRT. BTW: have any of you noticed that since menopause, your appetite isn't what it used to be. I mean, I have no cravings and really only eat now when I am hungry.

This has led me to wonder if I take estrogen (even a "natural" estrogen, wouldn't my appetite increase?

I am so tired of looking at snow. :( I think this is one Spring that all of us here in New England will cherish.

Hi Everybody
Hi there Vickie nice to "see" you again. What have you been up to? Peggy I love your little doggie. If that little silver haired gal you saw had a double order of fries it was probably me. :D

My grandchildren were here for a "fast food" type dinner and when DH and I were out earlier we bought a big bag of "cotton candy". When I showed the kids what I had for dessert , well, you have never seen such happy kids. LOL LOL I was pretty happy to have some candy cotton too. :)

Good night all, see you tomorrow.

LilyG

Vickie: Good to see you back! Been quite a while, you have been missed!

Peggy: Love your doggie. Wish I had a real one :( Something me and DH can never agree on.

Carree: I think it really depends on the person. Wish I could help you. But being on it for so long I cant say. Hopefully someone else can.

Slavika: I can image those kids eyes when you showed them the Cotton Candy. They probably thought they were in heaven! I havent had it in years. But its not suppose to be that bad point wise. Is it? I know kids love it, and it is fun to watch them make it.

We watched a cute movie tonight. It was "Meet the Parents" with Ben Stiller. It was really cute. Well worth getting. Really funny but mushy to. And Dh like it :)

Peggy, I take Prempro and haven't had any problems with it. I would love to know some info re: the natural hormones. I don't know anybody who takes them. I love your dog too.

Maria, type in your actual time the next time you post please. I have been trying to figure out where you are in relation to us. You might ought to tell the day too because that could be different. I am 6 hours behind GMT and I had figured you as well as I could to be be 15 hours in front of us. If you post your actual time, and the board tell the GMT, I should be able to work it out right.

Vickie, sure am glad to see you. You have been missed.

Does the bold work the same way it did on the old board? How do you work the spell check? Every time I've tried it I lose my post. I can't figure out how to end it and then send it properly. Lily, help!!!!!!!

Where are you guys finding the cute little gizmos under your name. I won't even try to put one up. Who knows what would happen.

I am so glad somebody else had the problem with the porno site. When I told my husband what happened I don't think he believed me. He thought I had typed in something wrong. But I didn't. I double-checked before I zapped it. If that ever happens at the gym, I will curl up and die.

I wish my appetite had decreased when I hit menopause. Unfortunately, nothing ever affects it. I have a big one. Always have and guess I always will.

Everyone have a great weekend. Nitey night.

I was the last one to say good night and now I am the first to greet the morning. See, I tell you I don't sleep much.

I weighed today and have been trying to find the last thread where I had posted my progess (or lack of) toward the 30# challenge. Some of our posts have disappeared. So I went back to weight commander to try and reconstruct it. Happy to report a loss, though not a big one.
I can't give a weekly progress thing like I was because I don't have all the numbers. So I will just post what I have lost to this point and try to go on with the weekly losses again. My brain is too addled to do it. I tried and tried, but it isn't working out for me.

30-9.75=20.25

Looks like I won't be even close on the challenge. If I hadn't backslid and gone crazy that one week, I would have been fine.

Good morning all, Geri you beat me. We went out to breakfast after church. Bob Evans biscuits and all. Then we are going out this afternoon to a birthday party. Not good. Carree my appetite has NOT decreased - especially for sweets. I wish it had. Lily get a cyber pup - not as much trouble. Ours belonged to son who is married. When he moved out we kept dog and now dh is very attached. They bond well. DS has 2 dogs now. The little one is his wifes and they took in a stray (big dog) when it was a baby. Peggy: Thats great they are training the dog to go to Nursing homes and such! I doubt I will ever get my dog. I always had one when I was growing up. DH would rather have a cat. And Im just not a cat person. So I guess we will just stick with fish. ALAS....

G'day all,

At last I have some time to have a read of the many posts that I have missed over the past week or so.
DH got me on-line on my laptop and it is great to do things at my speed :)
My sister lives in Sydney and she came to visit yesterday, stayed the night and left 30 mins. ago. We don't get on terribly well, she KNOWS everything and I mean everything :( It is very difficult to hold your tongue. Even dh, who is very patient, was getting to the end of his tether.
Firstly I think the site is great and with Lily's lessons, I think there should be an avatar with this post. In time I will change the senior member bit.
Peggy you are doing so well, good for you, I wish I could report the same steady losses that you are making.
Karen sorry to hear about your bil, eventhough it was not entirely unexpected it is still a very difficult time, my thoughts have been with you and your family.
Trudy love your avatar, it is fun doing these things.
Slavika as always it is fun reading your posts, good to hear you are well and tanned.
Lela nice to see you back posting.
I read somewhere that someone else needs to get back into line, I certainly do and today has been a good day so far. With my sister here yesterday, it just drove me to drink, and that wasn't water either :D
I have rung for some information to do some sort of course whilst I am here, I don't care what it is as long as it something that will keep me off the streets for a while.:)
It hasn't stopped raining since we got here, poor old Adelaide still hasn't had rain. Even the camels are dying in the outback of south australia due to lack of rain.
Hope to soon be able to report some sort of loss, at least I have not put on.
Cheers
Maria
