Thumbs up calling all chickies, 911!

help!!!
I'm stuck!!! havent lost an ounce in well over a week, more like 10 days, and am loosing my mind! Someone talk me off the ledge. I have done everything I know to do to break this thing, I have increased my excercise, increased my protien, increased my water, even increased my calorie count a bit...nothing. I tried for days to ignore it and to just keep my eye on the prize...but its getting progressivly harder and harder. so, with the mighty power of the chickie force, I look for guidance.

Yeah, I agree - maintaining has its good side, which is that you are not gaining. Maybe your body is resting at this weight for a bit and then when you are ready it will release some more weight. I have long long plateau periods myself (I have been around the same weight since Christmas) - but for me I know I could be focusing a little more on diet. It is hard for me to exercise a lot AND focus on the diet...don't give up though! You are doing great overall - in the big picture -

Hang in there ginya!!! Everyone hits a plateau during their loss.
just have faith and remember how far you have come and how good you feel after that 50lb loss Sometimes your body is just readjusting to the change and you probably have some muscle mass too after exercising.

Why don't you get some advice from the clinic you are attending - I'm sure they see this with most of their patients and can offer you some pointers

Look at it as a body re-organization! I've been stuck for 15 years and am about to hire another consultant!
Seriously, what plan are you following? There are plateau busting techniques for some plans.

Ginya,
I want to look at this from another angle. Are you eating enough? What type of exercise are you doing if any? With weight training you might maintain or even gain. If you arent exercising, why not try taking a daily work I hope this helps some.

Hmmmm, I wonder what rude word Mauvais had to edit out of your post, Chris?
Was it "sugar"? "bugger"? "buzz"?

CHRIS!!! You naughty girl!!! (I must be losing my touch, it used to be ME who was censored!!!)

Ginya-You are doing REALLY well. I think everyone here is right and that your body is readjusting to the weight loss and redistribution. I KNOW it is hard, but if you stick with it you WILL start losing again. (This from the hypocrite who hasn't been exercising OR sticking to plan!! But I haven't lost any weight EITHER, and your hard work IS paying off!!!)

I hope so, I don't mind not loosing any weight...sorta, I just hate depriving myself of stuff and staying on program for no results. Anyway, am down a bit today so I feel much better. I just keep chanting...

Maybe you could try doing one or two little things diffferently. Last time I was stuck (before this time I mean!) I cut out hard candy and it really helped - had no idea it made such a difference. Also cut way back on rice and pasta and if I want to maintain I have had to make that permanent (not NO rice or pasta, just hardly any, ha ha!)

Got to think of some new little things to try, for me. Or you couldjust change ONE thing, one little thing. Just to surprise your body/metabolism a little! I think I had better surprise mine!

Ginya, I noticed that you said that you have increased your protein, so are you on the low carb high protein plan? Why don't you take one whole day off all together. I know that sometimes it works for me. Just remember while on the day off don't go hog wild. Hey, me thinks that the sex idea is great.
