Default ATKINS bar for IP diet

http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/e...d=DK-1303#tab2

Has anyone used these to supplement?

Can you use these in #1?

Definitely NOT ok for Phase 1 or really ever. They are FAR too high in fat, and far too low in protein.

Calories: 180
Calories from fat: 110
(cal from fat needs to be less than 30% - these are about 60%)
Protein: 8g
(IP-compatible products need to be at LEAST 12g protein)

EAS Edge Carb Control are ok.

I've used (very rarely and in emergency) the Adkins Advantage strawberry shake. Fat is higher (make sure it's a lean meat day) but when I've been away from home and need something quick because I didn't plan ahead. None of the Atkins bars are okay, though.

Try Quest bars. Some if them work better than others so you have to know the nutritional stats you're looking for (compare to IP restricteds). I found a few that work & they're gluten-free/soy-free, like me!

Yah don't use the Atkins bars. I tried the Atkins diet last year.. it is very similar to IP, but instead of high protein, they do high fat in order to get into Ketosis (which works). Dr. Atkins himself, did not create any of the shakes and bars. Infact he preached about eating real whole foods. WHich yes included bacon, and higher fat foods.. (If you read his original book it does make sense)
So it wasn't him who made all other products. He would have never liked those. The atkins bars and shakes can actually hurt your weight loss.
SO DON'T USE THEM!! ((
