100 lb. Club - 2013 Resolutions: Valentine's Day to April Fools' Day!

Everyone is welcome - you don't need to have been a part of the previous challenge to participate.

Post your 2013 New Year's resolution. If you don't make resolutions and want to make a goal, that's fine too. It doesn't have to be a specific weight or a specific size but it does have to be SPECIFIC (i.e. Don't write "I want to be healthier." If you want to improve your health, how are you going to measure that? Do you want a specific blood pressure range? Do you want to be able to run a mile nonstop? etc).

Next you're going to write what you're going to do from Valentine's Day to April Fools' Day to make that happen! That's approximately 6 weeks. What will you do for the next 6 weeks of 2013? How will you make your resolution happen?

From Valentine's Day to April Fools' Day, my resolution is: Lose 18lbs please (brings me to 203.8lbs)

With the Valentine's Day challenge (http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/100-lb-club/271764-new-years-valentines-day-resolutions.html#post4565843) drawing to a close, I'm anxious to keep going! Here's to hoping I make my goal of 220 by 2/13 so this challenge can start smoothly. :) [ETA: YES!]

2013 Resolution: To lose 52 pounds by December 31, 2013! That's obviously one pound per week, and will put me at an unfathomable 175 pounds.

From Valentine's Day to April Fools' Day, my resolution is: To reach an average loss of one pound per week, getting me down to (gasp!) 213.

I've adjusted each date to land on a Wednesday, which is my official weigh-in day at TOPS. Here we go . . .

Notes: I'm off to a great start! So, so excited to finally be out of the 220's! I'm at my lowest weight since 8th grade.

Week two (Feb 27th):

...Actual weight: 218
Notes: Gained a little but I'm right at goal and still following the planned trend.

Week three (March 6th):
Goal weight: 217
...Actual weight: 218
Notes: Gained a little again, which is apparently one of those things since I think I've been doing great eating-wise and exercise-wise. Here's to hoping it's reflected in next week's weigh-in.

Week four (March 13th):

Notes: Back on track, thankfully I got a woosh this week!

Week five (March 20th):
Goal weight: 215
...Actual weight: 215
Notes: Wow, just wow. I'm sticking to my schedule like glue, lol. Two more weeks, two more pounds. I'm extremely proud of myself.

...Actual weight: 213
Notes: I can't believe I hit my goal already! Now to at least maintain for the next week.

Notes: Was stuck between 252.4 and 252.8 most of the week - very happy to be under 252! I also had a special mother-daughter date day yesterday that included some (amazing) local restaurant food, and I'm almost positive I went over my usual calorie allowance by 500-800 (It was worth it - I estimated things the best I could - no nutrition facts at a local joint!) so I'm happy to not see a gain this morning. Hoping to see a better overall loss next week!

2013 Resolution: Blood sugar and cholesterol in a healthy range. I'm trying not to get too wrapped up in weight loss goals, although I really would like to be down to 160 by the end of the year. (70 lb loss)

New: Stay within 10% of net calories of 1260/day
New: Walk 30 minutes at least 5 times a week (Monday-Friday)

I am also really going to bump up my activity. I want to work out 3-4 times a week.

My resolution is not in pounds, because I've been too frustrated too often and I realize that I cannot control the OUTCOME of my plan. I can only control my on-plan actions. So those are my goals.

My current plan: Count calories, between 1200 - 1500/day for a weekly average of 1500 or fewer. Count carbs for a weekly average of 50 or fewer.

2013 Resolution: Stay on-plan 80% of the time, for a weekly average of 1500 calories/50 carbs (or fewer)

End the year at 185 lbs. (that's averaging 1.5 lbs per week from now until the end of December)

1. Go to the gym a minimum 3 times per week and exercise at least 90 minutes each time.
2. Lose another 10 lbs. by faithfully following my gluten-free, sugar-free diet plan.
3. Go through my closet on April 1st and do a complete spring cleaning. Get rid of all oversized clothes so I'm not tempted to relapse!

Hi to all! Today is DAY ONE for me!
Being petite ( in height only) I look and feel so swollen, like a cartoon character. I am disqusted enough with myself to start strong.. No CHEATS Today at all!!
Starting weight 250 at dr's office yesterday..

Going to Florida March 25,and I NEED to fit
in the 17" across airplane seat.
I tend to lose inches before pounds so that will help..

Wish I started this Jan 1, but never too late to start ( again)

Ok I'm definetely in on this one. I came so close the last challenge. 1 pound away from 25 pounds. So even though it was hard at the end of the last challenge I'm going to go for 25 again. So my goal is to lose 25 pounds by April 1st.
My starting weight is 286. My goal weight for this challeng is 261.

Thanks for the welcoming! I think I will "fit" right in here ( pun intended)

My starting weight is 250 fully clothed.( which is a lot for my 5ft 1 in frame)
My goal weight for this challenge is unlimited..
If I put a number down and don't reach t I get all depressed, and EAT!!! So I am taking a new approach..

By the way I just read a fantasic book titled " will I ever be good enough? " written by a dr Karyl Mcbride PhD, it's about being a daughter of a narcissistic mother..(It was very healing to me, I did grieve the mom I didn't have and grieve the mom I wish I had) To her I am a failure cause I am fat, she is a size 2 , Really!
Dr Mcbride helped me understand my mom values me for what I DO, not WHO I am.. It helped me grieve, forgive and move on now to my weight issue.
So quess who I am visiting 2 weeks in Fla?? This time I am in control...

Chickiboom a running group sounds so cool. I hope when I get down to a good weight where I can run I can find a group. That must be some great support.

I'm happy the scale is moving more for me. I'm trying not to think about the numbers all the time, but my feelings and why I want to eat more when I shouldn't. I'm doing a weight loss challenge with my sis, mom, and niece too so that helps. Even though they live in other states we facebook and skype and talk all the time about why we do the things we do. It's awesome.

Everyone is doing great! off to a good start this challenge!!!

I finally upgraded to an I Phone and love the app LOSE IT! I log in my daily weight ( after setting up my current weight , what I wanna lose each week -2 lbs is the highest on this app, it gives you calories you need to take in and it automatically deducts ) I log in my food each meal and snacks, and the amounts. wow it keeps me on track!

I didn't realize all my "nibbles" added pounds to my thighs!! what an eye opener!

I had to wait until I was down to 200 before I could start running. It was just too much on my knees and I was having terrible shin splints. Now, it's no problem. I'm sure that you'll be able to find a running group in your area. It makes it so nice to have a buddy to run with outside even though we're not talking to each other while we're running. We just keep pushing eachother. I see a hill and want to stop but my running partner is still going so I push through!

Well, I will be so happy when I reach the 200's. It seems so far away for me. Weigh ins in 3 days. Not sure I'm going to lose any. My body is playing tricks on me. Were going to Flag that day so I hope I see a loss, so it will kinda give me a boost in not wanting to over eat while Im there since all of our meals will be eating out.

Darn, no change again this week. My weight loss has really slowed down to nothing. This must be one of those plateaus I've read about. Guess my body doesn't want to leave the 250's.

I'm going to the gym 3-4 times per week and sticking to my low-carb plan very well. So now what? I guess it's time to rachet up my action plan. I just bought a food scale so I'm going to start weighing my portions (I cook almost everything from scratch so there's no labels on a box!). And I am going to sign up with a tracking app to measure everything I eat. There are so many apps--what is a good choice? I'm considering Fitday or DietPower.

palomino I use "My fitness Pal". I think a lot of people use that or "Lose It". I use myfitnesspal because the database of foods is huge, but since you're cooking everything from scratch that won't matter. Whichever one you choose, it should help you figure out if your nutrition is the reason for your plateau. Here's hoping you get a big whoosh this week !

So happy to be on track for week one! My goal for this period of time was a big one because I missed the first one by 6.5 pounds. I will need to lose about 3.25 a week to meet my 250 and my first weight in was perfect at 4 pounds even. I cut out my weekly points. I just can't lose weight eating them, and I don't need them to feel satisfied. I was just eating junk food with them anyway.

I don't think I'm going to make this challenge either. I'm happy that I'm still going down, but TOM through me for a loop big time. I really need to remember that during that time I need to make sure I eat as clean as possible and ride it through that way so I don't gain or stall during that time of the month.

Ha, I knew there was a thread I forgot to update yesterday!! I am within striking distance of my goal for this challenge. I'm going to keep my ticker where it is, but my goal will be to get as far past it as I can - the same thing that I did in last Resolutions challenge. I beat my ticker by 4 lbs in that one, and I'm going to try to do at least that much this time. If so, that will put me in a good place to try to hit the teens by my birthday on 4/15.

The good news is that today, we will finish de-cluttering the small room where our computer is and I will make my own space space to exercise. Definetely not going to make my goal, but I'm so happy that the weight has started to move finally. Geez.. seemed like I was going to stay the same forever. Going on vacation today so, hopefully I can at least maintain.

I met my goal for this challenge, but I don't know if I'll get much lower than my number for today. But maybe enough to get my 30 lb chickie for the end of this challenge.

TOM is over thank goodness! I weighed in yesterday at 251, but today was at 253.2 (probably due to some salt retention from eating Chinese food last nigth). As Sunday is my official day to weigh in, that's what I'm putting down for this week. I'm ever so close to being under 250, we'll see what the next week brings.

LMAO!!! I haven't named the scale at my doctor's office but I sure have swore at it a few times!! (I use my doctor's office as my official weigh-in, it's actually less than my home scale!!)

New Year's to Valentine's Day Challenge loss: -14.2lbs!

From Valentine's Day to April Fools' Day, my resolution is: Lose 15 lbs. More than 2 lbs a week! Be at 257.4!
I am also really going to bump up my activity. I want to work out 3-4 times a week.

My dates are a little shifted to match my WW weigh ins.
