Wow, we are being pummeled here in Southern Ontario. Anyone else getting snow-bombed? We've "only" got 1 foot of snow today so far but we are getting ice pellets and harsh winds with it as well so it's making some craziness out there. I had a Drs appointment this morning and on the way home we got stuck. I had to push the car out, I'm impressed it took me less than a minute. Not sure if I was mad I had to push, mad I was standing in a snowbank, cold or all 3 lol It's so falling so fast out there that motorists in Toronto Ontario, on the 401 highway were shoveling the highway themselves The MTO (Ministry of Transportation Ontario) released a photo of motorists digging out lol Anyone else getting hit?

You bet! I'm in Eastern Ontario, slightly north of the 401 and they've actually closed the highway. So far we have about 18". Good thing we are tough Canadians!
Ruthxxx we are a tough breed aren't we?! Ahh the Great White North. Hasn't been this white in a while around here though!
modifyeddoll87, I heard the east coast was going to get it bad! I think Boston was suppose to be the worse but you guys should get more than 8 inches I think! lol Highest amounts are looking at 3 feet for the east coast! All I can say is that if it's the same storm be prepared for a lot of ice! Oh and stay inside, stay safe and stay warm!
I have no idea how much snow we're getting here (Boston) because i haven't been outside since noon today. I hear it's windy though.
Also, I am bored.
Bored and stuck at home = tendency towards wanting to nibble, so I'm having to keep myself far far away from both the kitchen and the chocolates my boyfriend sent me for valentine's day. :P
Aw I am in so cal, and have never gotten snow, was surprised to see it had snowed for a bit where I used to live 25 miles from me. My 3 year old asked on Christmas morning where the snow was, so hoping he gets to see some snow, just to see his face.
kaebaka, I hope you guys don't get the amounts I've seen forecasted, that would suck. And I understand the eating out of boredom thing, it's my vice too.
chubbiegurl, awe maybe you should make a trip to Canada to see some? My husband is American and his friends came up for our wedding from Texas and California, we got married in December and it happened to snow the day of our wedding and the day after. They just loved it. Guess what was a treat for them is something we just take for granted here. I went out to grab something from the car. The locks are frozen. GRRR. Need to get to a store tomorrow to buy some lock de-icer. Took a photo however of the snow here. This is fallen and shoveled snow so the cars could get out.

I'm in central CT and we measured 25 inches of snow in our yard but the news reported 31 inches in our town. It's hard to be accurate because the wind is blowing like crazy! I'm grateful that we didn't lose power like many other did.
Sweettreat80 wish a trip to Canada was in the budget but we are thinking of driving the kids about an hour out to Big Bear, I know they would love it, me on the other hand since losing weight and being colder am gonna need some serious snow gear.
wisertime, stay warm! I hear you guys are suppse to get more snow, as though 25 inches isn't enough!
chubbiegurl, I'm sure they'd love it! As for you just dress in layers. LOTS of them lol
We ended up getting a foot and a half here so we got off light compared to how Nova Scotia and the East coast are going to get hit. Anyone in those areas make sure to stay safe and don't drive if you don't have to!
I'm in Japan, but my little brother sent some photos from home in CT where there's currently 3+ feet of snow. There was also one of the dog looking miserable because he'd had to wait for them to shovel so that he could go out and pee in snow that was otherwise over his head. (He's a Labrador retriever, so not exactly a small dog.)
