I had trouble getting my TV and BluRay player synced and working this morning and messed around with til I only had time for one mile....and a disjointed mile at that.

Getting serious time!! I have been going up and down with my weight since before Christmas. Was hoping to even up and get back to what I was before the holidays started (156)....this week I am at 160, which is my personal panic number....so I am updating my signature and getting serious. I've really had trouble staying away from treats since Christmas. With Val. Day and my birthday coming up, I will still struggle with it. I'd like to be back to 156 by my b-day, then back to 150 within a couple months. Then I am going to decide if my original goal of 140 is realistic or not. If not, I want to maintain at no more than 150.

Here I go!!

Well shoot... I don't know what to say mile wise... according to the DVD (5 mile slim down) I did 2 miles (mile 1 & 5) plus warm up and cool down but according to my pedometer it was 1.85 miles total. Oh well either way I worked for over 30 minutes. :)

Picked up the 4 Mile Power Walk DVD today and I must say I loved it! Did all 4 miles and definitely felt my calves burn!

tubolard, I don't know how you do 60min with 4lb weights. I did 2 more with weights and 2 without for a total of 6mi.

Note to LuvCats-Don't worry if your pedometer doesn't match the DVD exactly. I have never worn a pedometer and just go by what the DVD is set up for. Just keep moving!!

No exercise for me this weekend. Bad food day today, but plan on a much better day tomorrow.

I would like to aim for a min. 3 miles on Mon thru Friday of next week. Just need to be sure I get to bed early enough and get up early enough to do so. Would like to see a pound gone by the end of the week.

I did a mile today but it was walking my dog so not sure if it technically counts on this board. Ha ha just glad it counts for me.. :) I do want to try to work into the 3rd mile a couple times next week.

I did the one mile with 3 pound weights, and it kicked my butt! It was much harder than I thought it would be, but it makes me super glad I bought this video. I'm thinking a week or two at one mile, then I'll advance to 2!

tubolard, I don't know how you do 60min with 4lb weights. I did 2 more with weights and 2 without for a total of 6mi.

I built up sloooooowly, lol. I can't remember who it is on here that does 10 miles with I think 5 pound weights and I don't know how they can do it, well yes I do know. Slowly and carefully.
When I started out I was doing 1 mile in 18 minutes (huffing and puffing the entire time and I have to admit I might have possibly used a few profanities toward Leslie:o;)) and could barely do the arm section with only my hands as weights, if I could have popped them off to make it easier I think I might have done it, lol.
I think you are doing a great job! Everything we do all adds up, think of where we will all be in a month, heck even just a week and we all are so much stronger and better then we were!
I came in today even though it is my day off to live vicariously through you guys' exercise, I know I need a day off but I miss working out on Sundays, I am so weird huh, lol.
Thank you for what I took as a great compliment, it made my birthday a little better!

OH! MY! LANTA! I just realized you said -8, minus 8 degrees, as in below zero by 8 degrees :faint: That should not even be allowed. I would be bundled up like Ralphie little brother heading to school in A Christmas Story just to go to the mailbox. :brr:

Did around 2 1/2 miles on the DVD today. :) Ha ha I sure don't do the double knee things or lunges very well.

Hello everyone! Well, besides my post-holiday weight not coming off as quickly as I had liked, I had another big wakeup call this morning. I put on a pair of scrub pants for work that I hadn't worn in a while. They were always a bit snug, but this morning they felt really tight to me....also when I bent over to do something....I heard a sound and thought they might rip. They didn't, but it got the message through loud and clear: GET TO WORK. DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT $200! Get that weight off now.

Miles 1, 4 & 5 of the 5 Mile Fat Burning This Morning. Supper is going to be out this evening, but plan to go somewhere I can eat reasonably. Chili's has one of my fav light meals, so maybe there.

Everyone is doing so great here!!:bravo::cb::carrot::cheer2::broc:

Wii MW Medium Upper Body: 2 sets of 8 exercises (23 minutes)
I also added 50 inner & outer thigh lifts & 50 butt lifts every day. I have been doing them for about a week now and I think my butt is changing, I hope it is, maybe it is wishful thinking but I don't think it is.

I always stretch out for at least 20 minutes after I work out, I just never list it.

Today was my first day to walk after having a major abdominal surgery. I did 1 mile walk away your waistline, without the belt. Followed the walk with T-tapp More DVD.

Carol - thank you for noticing the ticker change, I am so excited!! I carry weights with me the whole way and add extra arm motions. If the rest their hands on hips or thighs, I hold them up in front of me, if I can add in some forearm curls or extra biceps or triceps I do, and then I do the lifts and things she does as well. I usually keep my arms going a lot more then she does.

No, she doesn't use weights in either of the ones I switch between, I add them on my own. I have one dvd with the bands but I feel like my form is off when I use the bands.
When I use weights with the Wii workouts I use a set of 1.5 pounds each weight that goes on your hands and a 2.5 pounds each weight that goes around your wrists, the Wii uses bands but like I said I feel like bands throw me off using correct form.
When it is arms day I swear I must look a fool with all this stuff strapped to my hands but it is working so I don't worry, although I am kind of glad no one can see me, lol.

tubolard, I use the 5lb weights that strap around your arm or leg and I think they are easier to use then the hand held ones. The ones I bought are for the legs but they work fine on the wrist.

Hello ladies and happy weekend!! Only got in one quick mile yesterday. Forced myself to get going this morning and I did the Walk Slim 5 Really Big Miles!!:carrot: I rarely have or make time for the 5 milers. Feels great! Now I won't feel so guilty about making my Shelby Cookies tonight. No real loss (maybe a half pound) this week and I'm disappointed. Next week will be better!

Just popping in to say I'm a new Leslie fan. I've been doing the 5 fat-burning miles program a few times a week and really enjoy it. I started jogging last fall so I try to jog as much as I can through the program, in the hopes that it will help me get back to jogging in the spring. And I love the calorie burn!

Well, I took off Thurs and Fri...always seems like I'm making excuses, but that's the poop. We had hail, thunder/lightning and heavy sleet Weds night and I kept waking up. Also one of my teeth was really hurting from the dental work. Fri morning, I woke up with dizziness/nausea from the inner ear issue that has crept back up. (I had a bad time with it last spring.)

Friday was my 51st birthday and it was a really nice one, once I got the dizziness/nausea under control with some old medication from the last time.

So today I did the 4 Mile Power Walk and sweated my butt off!! Not sure if I'll get any done tomorrow.

I really like mine. Some movements I still try to go flying off of it but I really really like doing ab work on it. I use it to stretch my back too, I have several issues with my back, I can't spell it, lol, but my disks are disintegrating and I have several pinched nerves, I think there are some other things wrong but not sure what to call them.

I woke up at 4 this morning and knew if I went back to sleep that I would never get up at 5 and do some walking, so I got myself up and did 3 miles :cp: I used the 5K with a Twist dvd. man it feels great to get that done first thing in the morning.

50 inner/outer thigh lifts each side
50 butt lifts each side

Oh today was rough, I had to make myself do the 5 miles and force myself to give it my full effort in it. I so did not want to do it. But I am proud that I did it.

2mi with 5lb weights and 2mi without. That last post was last night's exercise. Just wanted to say that weights work really well with the Walk it Off Tone it Up 5 mi video but I just use the first and last mile.

Hi all!

I did my first WATP workout this morning--did the 1 mile walk from YouTube. I have several VHS tapes that I got cheap (yeah, we still have VHS), but it apparently isn't setup right so I couldn't do one.

She talked a bit too much but isn't anywhere near as annoying as some other tapes (say, Denise Austin!)

I liked the workout--but I think I'll do the two miles next time--and definitely add weights.
