Tammy, oh that is terrible!! I am SO sorry for your loss, what a shock!! :( we :hug: you!!

Yes, my raise and then the back pay finally came, but get this..he owed me $280, so he peels off 3 $100 bills and gives them to me, saying "you can owe me an hour or something, we'll work it out". Silently I marched to my purse and got a $20 and handed it to him, saying "I (emphasis on "i") don't like to owe anyone...HERE we are even". He actually didn't want to take it! but I made him.

He did give me a reasonably generous Christmas bonus, the equivalent of a week's pay.

I was doing relatively good for 2 days (big whoop) and then binged when I got home last nihgt. to me, a binge was - three handfuls of chocolate chips, a small bowl (like a cup of ice cream) The ice cream splurge was not so bad but then I found a can of frosting  I did NOT buy that guess my husband did; I had THREE spoonfuls of straight chocolate frosting and it was blisss  until I regretted it which was right afterwards.

Tammy I apologize, I sympathize about your brother and then i blab about my insignificant stuff, I am truly sorry about your loss! did he have a wife/kids, how are they doing??

01-05-2014, 09:25 PM
Hi Girls

Oh Tammy so sorry - it must have been a huge shock, just plain sucks when it is so unexpected- again so sorry, if you need anything don't hesitate to let us know, side note glad to hear that you are down to 1 job and will now hopefully have some self time :)

Holly glad to hear that you got your money plus and it sure is always nice to get a bonus at Christmas time....

Well I have been doing really well with diet and exercise but on Tuesday it is our 25th wedding anniversary so I got room in Omaha (2 hours away) at the casino for just DH and I, well we had a blast and had a little much alcohol
plus then I had nachos late last night so I guess I will see what the scale says tomorrow :(
I have made it to the gym everyday except today but with getting home decided I needed to do some cleaning and get some of DS's stuff ready for him to take to his place and out of mine :)

Feeling really tired tonight I suppose yesterday is catching up with me

Sunster details on the AZ rally like when and where because I am looking at flight to AZ in April if I can get a good deal and it is on the plan to rent a bike and go riding so who knows maybe we will be able to meet up again!!!

Tammy well we are defiantly going to Bikes, Blues & BBQ in Sept this year, I believe it is 25, 26, 27 anyways I did call a few places and rooms were like $150 per night with a 3 night minimum- I will have more details tomorrow on exactly which one we will be staying at, you will have to see if it will work in your schedule even if it is for a day, don't remember how far away you are from Fayettetville though

Ok well I am going to get off here, really tired

Have a Great Monday

01-06-2014, 09:52 PM
Holly, you don't have to apologize. He did have a son and a "wife"... He had not lived w her in 25 years and she showed up as the "grieving widow" and made a clean sweep and went back home to her live in boyfriend to draw SS off my brother.... It sucks... But really it's not my "business".

I am with you on the no owing anyone. I hate to know I do.

CC, I am about 4-5 hours away from Fayetteville. I am for sure gonna try to make it up there to meet!

CC sounds like you didn't do too badly eating. I am currently trying to shed all the sugar out of my diet. It seems to help me.

Sunster, girl you are rocking the WL!!!! Wtg!!!

Well I have to run.... Will chat more later.

01-06-2014, 09:54 PM
Oh, I forgot.... My cubicle mate is a amazing at sewing things..... I told her she needs to market to biker chicks.... What kind of hand made things would you think sell the best. The girl can honestly sew anything from scratch.

01-09-2014, 09:41 AM
Tammy...i would think anything w/ our biker name on it.

Question... does anyone here display pins? like on a vest or luggage or...? I used to collect pins but now could care less because I have too many. Took a jean jacket, tore off the sleeves, bleached, frayed, distressed it, then added pins. Now it's way too heavy to wear or pack and I still don't have all the pins on!

So, I should not have weighed last friday. Been working so hard on this diet and the scale didn't move at all. That triggered....I dunno what....insanity. It involved a jr bacon chzburger @ wendys, abba zabba, two oreos, and much more I can't and don't want to remember. Anyhoo...this is my 3rd day back on programand it's a relief. Like, d*mn the scale! Not weighiing anymore but using mirror and loose clothes instead!!

01-09-2014, 12:13 PM
Hey chicks!

First, belated but very sincere Happy Anniversary to Reda and her hubster :D Hope you had a great time, and that the weather did not alter your travel plans? Did you get socked by snow?

Sunster...i'm real sorry to hear how the stupid scale derailed you for a day or so..I am the same way. So badly in fact, that if I was wearing lets say a size lower and knew I was smaller, but if the scale showed higher, i would believe the scale and get depressed. I'm so glad you are back on track!

the pins..used to collect them at events, tried to put them on my jackets..I don't have that many but if I was wearing a tank top under my jacket, I could feel the back of the pins pricking my skin. Then I discovered those backings to prevent that, but I found them WAY too much of a PITA to put on. I guess we know we've all been places without the pins or patches :D I wonder if we put them on something else creatively, like handbags?

Hi Tammy! hmm..I envy the talent of your cubie-mate. hmmm....I do love my bling-y sparkly headband that Reda made me for :) I also like a stretchty black headband that a friend got me, that has a sparkly cute skull on it.
Agree w/Sunster that anything customized with person's biker road name would be fun. People are always giving me Cupcake-themed stuff; stickers, t shirts, panties :D a string of patio lights.

I have been doing terrible with eating, I think I had 2 days on track and then not. But possibly, possibly, my dh might get on board with me with South Beach...that would be awesome. Also if our older son (who lives at home ) would too, he has gained some and woud be healthier without. Wouldn't it be great to have the whole household in on it! I tried to appeal to dh by saying, 'you are such a great cook, you could fix such great meals with South Beach for us'.

Our annual Harley Raffle is this Saturday, and this is the first time in about 6 or 7 years that my dh and I are not cooking the meal for 250, thank goodness!! having it catered by Texas Roadhouse. We are supplying the cole slaw, which I bought through my work; and the dessert, which will be a maple walnut cookie; I bought two tubs of frozen cookie dough from work (like 40 pounds) and will scoop and bake them at work Friday night, using the big kitchen and convection oven, and should only take like 2 hours.

OH gosh my boss (the Rat B.) offered me ANOTHER raise, and a paid week's vacation, if I would work full time for him! I absolutey cannot. I guess I am spoiled but I have to have the summer job. If I worked for him fulltime I would not enjoy my summer at all, with the hours of 11 am to 6 pm. At the fun place, I can go in as early I want and finish by 1 pm or so and then have the afternoon/evening. Very important to me. MOney-wise, it still wouldn't be as much as the summer job.

WellI have today off and have done nothing yet :D We JUST took down our Christmas tree 2 days ago so I am enjoying the space in the living room again, lol.

Gonna see if I can post a pic of my press-on nails that I LOVE so much.

01-09-2014, 12:24 PM
Nails, did accent nails on thumb and ring fingers.

01-09-2014, 12:28 PM
Trying again..

01-09-2014, 12:30 PM
How can I hAve such weight on me e Sept have skeletal fingers, lol!

01-09-2014, 12:31 PM

01-09-2014, 12:33 PM
Grrrr can't get second one to post

01-10-2014, 09:22 AM
Ooo....I love the artistry on those nails...wouldn't that be a great paint job on a bike? or leggings? or a jacket? I do murals and that would be way fun to splash on a building!

01-10-2014, 09:25 AM
is Reda back from Mexico? Did somebody else from this board head south, too?

01-10-2014, 09:30 AM
And I love the all cupcake gifties...especially the string of lights! Since out little biker group is call LIPSTICK FIRST, we have lots of stuff w/ lips on them:)

01-11-2014, 12:15 AM
Hi girls, we haven't went to Mexico yet, we leave in 7 days and boy I can't wait!!! Colleen will be leaving if she hasn't already for Cancun.

Holly love the nails, they look great- Where did you get those at? I think
that's what I should do for vacation :)

Wow Holly that is great that your boss wants to keep you full-time year round but for your sanity keeping your summer job is probably best. I bet it is a relief not to have to do all the cooking for this weekend, its probably a lot of your shoulders.

Tammy still haven't made any reservations for Fayetteville but will let you know as soon as I do.

Well it is late so I am going to get off here

01-13-2014, 09:08 PM
Hi chicks, my laptop did finally die so I am typing from my Kindlefire so it is a little slower going.

Thanks Reda about the nails and I have new ones on to show :) I buy them from Kinney drugs, don't think they are a national chain of drug store...Rite Aid carries them but not so many choices. I LOVE these new pink glittery ones! (Hopefully pic to follow)

The Harley raffle went smoothly and it was so freakin great to not do the food!!! :D

My jeans are SO tight I feel so uncomfortable. Ugh. I had "only" one helping of dinner tonight so that is a feeble start (rolling eyes)

01-13-2014, 09:11 PM
Hooray for Mexico in one week for Reda! :)

01-14-2014, 10:27 PM lucky gurlz headed to Mexico!! It was 77 here today but I bet ur headed for warmer temps...yummy!

Question...anybody own a Venture Battery Heated Vest (lithium)? Need a reivew.

Hey, Arizona Bike Week is the first week of April and I'll be there (weather permitting). Girlz ride on the 3rd.

01-15-2014, 09:27 AM
good morning chicks, my hard reality hit yesterday as I weighed and see I have hit 160...haven't been up there in quite a while (like a couple years) so that is hard reality but I guess I needed to see it!! knew my jeans were getting (are) so very tight and that is why.

I ... will ... NOT ... buy bigger size jeans to feel not so tight, so I HAVE to stick to 1200-1500 calories, and am gonna start South beach (yet again!!)

guess it's a good thing that I didn't gain MORE because I truly have been eating just about whatever I want. for months!

01-15-2014, 09:58 AM
Morning Cupcake! So, i just made brex and im prepping lunch and snax for the day. All the while I'm thinking about this whole diet/lifestyle deal. My recent slip into the abyss came quick and easy when life got a bit hard and I was tired. All this hard work and pfffft....just like that. Scary.
So, i'm thinking it has to become that lifestlye thing they talk about. I have to keep eating this way and forever.
This aint breaking news, but the battle we all struggle with, on this whole 3FC site, is in our head. But yaknow, when that thing goes "click" in your head, NOTHING and NOBODY can veer you off course. Geeze....I just went thru the howlidaze on this diet and stayed on it!! Even on the Vegas trip I was cool w/ a little slip of just a bit-o-booze!
Seeing that # on the scale + tight jeans did it for me, too. U now have plenty of time to get ready for spring and summer riding! YOU KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! (I shouted that from Ca...did you hear it iin Vermont?)

Next post= all the diets I've done.

01-15-2014, 02:16 PM
Hi girls- well lots going on with me this week - but I keep thinking vacation is soon :) then I will hopefully be able to talk alittle more about what the heck is going on- then hopefully I will be able to get on the wagon and see results

Holly you sure did fool some of us with the bike raffle but we sure were wishing
That you would win it!!!!

Hi Tammy hope all is well

Today is not going to be a good food :(

Hi Tammy hope all is well

Today is not going to be a good food :(

Reda, I SO regretted that post as soon as I saw that peeps thought I had won it, it was really dumb of me :( Shows what a couple of quickly downed beers will do to common sense!

Hope it is not bad, the stuff that is going on with you? We will be here to hear you when you can tell us :)

Today was a lazy day and I will not beat myself up for it. The fact that I went back to bed and slept for 3 more hours is okay because then I went outside, chopped ice, took out garbage/reclycling, cleaned the kitchen, cleaned out the fridge (combined 3 relish jars into 2; combined 2 mayos into 1; combined 2 jars of grape jelly into 1; threw out old sauces; and counted 40, yes, 40 cups of Yoplait yogurts in the veggie bins!! WTF??)

01-17-2014, 09:45 AM
Someone must like yogurt??? LOL

Well I am packed and ready to go mostly leaving town around 5 today- can't wait :)

I will check in when I get back hopefully all tanned up and needing to go to detox :)

Oh yes hopefully I will know a lot more today - but will probably be another week- nothing bad or damaging to my health so no worries there

01-17-2014, 09:53 AM
ahhh....I'll be thinking of you today on ur way to MEXICO!!! All that R&R, and vitamiin D will be sooooo good for you. Safe travels and can't wait to hear about it :)

01-17-2014, 06:04 PM
HI GALS!! I hope you are all doing good. Well I will start by telling you all that on the first of the year I was up to 266.6. Two years ago I was down to 230lbs, my dad died and I gained 10lbs, worked at a bar and grill and had bar food for over two weeks and gained 10 more pounds, long winter last year and started the summer out at 255-258lbs. Well that was the bad news, the good news is I am down to 256.2:) this morning. I have been on a diet for 15 days. I still want to get down to 220lbs, 10 pounds less than before. My wife is also on a diet and doing good also, she is down almost 10lbs . I will let you gals know how I am doing every few days.

01-20-2014, 09:08 AM
Aaron - good to hear from you!!! and congrats on back on track .

I can't stick to a carb or calorie restricted diet for even one day now! ugh me.

Fresh snow yesterday made me appreciate the over $600 invested in new snow tires.

VERY busy day at work yesterday, MLK weekend is an annual huge skiing weekend, stood in one spot for at least 2 hours yesterday just finishing, wrapping and labeling sandwiches. working an extra hour each day is kicking my butt too.

have a good day :)

01-27-2014, 12:06 AM
Hi girls- well the trip was great, the resort was very nice but the food well not so great, luke warm to cold most of the time, only had 1 other restaurant that you had to make reservations at each morning by 8 am
The pool was so cold no one was ever in it, so needless to say the swim up bar was never full- and we were so looking forward to the swim up bar
I did learn to dive this year that was an experience to say the least, can't wait to do it again :)

Well so my news it was pretty much decided a few weeks ago that I was going to change jobs and profession- this being on call 24-7 365 days a year and I would get calls almost nightly and on the weekends as well just was to much and we decided paycut and all it was time to make the change-
so yes I had 3 interviews the week we left on vacation so hoping to hear from one of them this week- I do have another interview tomorrow at 2pm at a local bank- I am ready to have M-F 8-5 and when I leave work I get to leave work :)---- Will keep you all informed on how it goes
Oh by the way I am quitting my current job tomorrow as well- the owner well he runs all his spending through the company and it is coded under an expense line but he was complaining about a few of the stores not doing well so I pointed out to him that he cant' take 40K from each store (this was the end of Oct) and not expect it to effect them- especially the lake stores that don't do well in winter months- ya so take that 40K times 8 stores - wouldn't it be nice to have 300K to spend in 10 months!!! Ok enough about

Aaron so glad to hear you are back on track in full force- me will need to get something going again after vacation when you go all out it is going to be hard!

Holly we are very cold but no snow- but this below zero crap is getting old :(
sounds like you are working long hours at the store and when you are stuck in one place that is hard on the feet, legs and back- maybe Joe can give you a back and foot rub :)

Oh ya I did come home with an awesome tan! If I could just hold it until summer or at least some of it

Well off to bed so I will check back in later

01-27-2014, 09:06 AM
Reda, welcome back! and thanks for checking in :) Glad you have a nice tan!! but sorry that all the conditions were not as you hoped (and paid for!) I'd be so disappointed also if the pool was not swimmable. congrats on diving too!

and BIG congrats about the job change! that is big isn't it. Best wishes on the bank job, boy oh boy it would be like paradise for you to have a M-F daily job and leave it at that!! I hope/hope/hope it comes through for you :) That is crazy about the money the boss was diverting.

This winter we'd not had alot of snow, not near as much as usual, but the below 0 temps are persistant! its gotten that when its 3 above, that doesn't feel bad at all! because we've had -10 to -15 so very often. Real glad my car starts, it doesn't want to but she does. We've had frozen pipes twiice but each time DS got them thawed within a couple hours; then tried to address the problem areas.

Still can't stick to a diet for more than one day!! I don't give up hope but its scary.

The Rat B@stard paid me very generously yesterday for the extra hours I worked during MLK weekend; I'm suspicious that he'll try to manipulate me with his desire to have me work there year round, that's the kind of person he is ("but remember how I paid you so much that one time, you owe me" kind of thing) but maybe not. I'm just used to thinking the worst in that place, LOL.

Hey let me get your opinion of something (please :D ) Our motorcycle organization offers $100 prize to high school art students for submitting a design for our annual Toy Run tee shirt. (one winner). We mail the criteria to area schools in January, with a deadline for March. we get so few submissions! We wonder why?? isn't $100 enough for a kid? One teacher told us, "we don't have time to put it in our lesson plan". Um, you don't have to fit it in during the one hour of art class, tell the kids to do it on their free time, it's $100!

So since I had the time, I made photocopies of the letter and went to the local high school, the one close to me in our town, instead of just mailing it. I went to the office, and there was a lady in the office, and a woman chatting with her. As soon as the office lady saw I was waiting, she asked if she could help me. I introduced myself and immiediately the office lady said, "oh, you're in luck, this is an art teacher right here!" (the other lady).

So, I look at that lady, and she just stands there, looking at me. She did not offer her hand, or introduce herself...fine..okay..So I just stand there, and said, "Okay, do I leave this envelope with the office, or give it to you?" because she made no motion or offer or anything. She said, "oh, I'll take it, maybe someone will be interested". I said, "yeah, well it's $100" and left.

What the heck? first I think she was pretty rude. I don't expect props like "oh that is such a nice thing your organization does" but I do expect common courtesy especially from a 'teaching professional'. It left a bad taste in my mouth. NO wonder we don't get hardly any submissions, maybe they throw the letters out and don't even bother. :?:

We also offer $500 scholarships/gifting money for graduating seniors, and don't get a ton of offers for those either. What, is $500 not enough ching?

01-27-2014, 04:38 PM
Hi gals Well I had a nice long post ready to go and lost it all, so for a short version, my son got several $500.00 scholarships and will graduate debt free. He ended up with 7 scholarships and actually ended up getting money back which will help pay for gas for the year. Well my diet is going ok, I was 256.2 last week and this week I am down to 254.0. Next week will be hard after my wife's birthday on Sunday. Today I weighed 258.4 OUCH! So I will have to work out harder this week, I have been working out for about 1 hour each day, I ride my exercise bike for 1/2 hour and the elliptical for 1/2 hour.

01-28-2014, 10:29 AM
Aaron sorry your long post got lost, hate that when that happens! Hey big congrats to your son, he must be one smart kid and I also know that he must have worked hard to get those scholarships.

Mostly I was astonished at how rude/uncaring the teacher appeared to be.

Another day of negative temps, not windchill, still temperature. It's -1 now. At least my car always start and we have heat...thankful for the small things.

feeling pretty apathetic about everything else though!! stayed in bed til 9 this morning, cause I just don't care. I haven't been late to work because of depressive times but it sure is close sometimes.

01-30-2014, 02:56 PM

Well since I am currently not working I am trying to clean up the house, room by room and as of today 1 room done :)

I have had 3 interviews this week with one more on Friday at 1pm this is the job that I would love to have :) so hoping it pans out and get an offer early next week- but I also want to take off another week :)

However I am getting bored being home all day and night- I would not be good at retirement unless I had lots of money that I could do lots of stuff :)

Well off to get some more stuff done- Have a Great Thursday

02-03-2014, 04:03 PM
Hi everyone. I read about the last 10 posts trying to get caught up a bit.

I'm not doing to bad. I am holding steady anywhere from 124-128. I am happy with that. That is where I was 21 years ago when I found out I was pregnant with DS.

I have a new job at Dunkin Donuts. A new store opened up here in town. I went to an open interview & told them no nights, holidays or weekends & they still called & offered me a job. During training I was at 4 days (32 hours) Even the 1st few weeks open I was at that. They had to cut hours after the newness wore off & now at 1 day a week. Paycheck will be very sad but I like it. I am a day time baker now. It wasnt planned that way but it sorta fell in my lap & I didnt require much training just needed to be shown once & I took off from there. They try to talk me into working weekends they said Friday, Saturday & Sunday are the busiest & are they days they need a day time baker. I told them nope but if they need help during week to call me. DH makes comments about 1 day not being worth it but I remind him that I like it & it wasnt cuz I have to work that I do it.

If everything works out right this will be our last winter here in IA. I remember the 1st winter here in IA it was awful too. The cold & snow just doesnt want to stop. We are expecting anywhere up to 6' maybe even more :( Nights are always in the negatives & if it ante the wind chill factor puts us there. I have to remember to leave the tub cold water drip at night or the upstairs pipes freeze. The down stairs dont but cold upstairs does. Hot water doesnt which I think is weird.

Since I only work 1 day a week I spend alot of time on FB. I am hooked on Farmville2. Its so bad that I log on to DH FB & play farmville2 on his profile to help my farm along & even Friended a friend of his cuz she plays all the time too. I think she may play more then I do. My DIL & MIL also got me playing other games mainly so I can log in & give them life or unlock the next chapter. I guess its better then sitting here stuffing my face.

Even though the left overs from last night (superbowl) are calling my name. We did well & made things that were sorta healthy for us so I wont feel to guilty eating the left overs. :) The game was pretty boring but we had a good time it had been a while since I saw my DS & GS, my EX came over too. I think its great that my EX & I can still do things together. It makes it so much easier when DS invites everyone over.

I have a checkup today. The Dr gave me new meds to help with pain. She said its a drup they use for fybormyalgia. Its much cheaper then the Lyrica that we see on TV. I can notice some difference but my neck & shoulders still hurt at times. Im sure she'll want to give it more time before deciding to do anything else.

02-04-2014, 10:22 AM
Hey everyone, Reda is this the week you might hear from the job offer? crossing fingers for you !!

Dawn - really good to hear from you! :) first CONGRATS on your maintaining your tiny featherweight figure!! that is fantastic. I hear ya about not liking the grueling cold. We have't had that much snow this year (except tomorrow supposed to get 8" to 10") but the sub zero temps have been insane. I also don't understand the logistics about why the upstairs hot water freezes if the downstiars doesn't :?: and we've done so much insulating and used heat tape to help prevent that but still have had frozen pipes twice this season. There has got to be a place in the U.S. that's a happy medium!! I think maybe South Carolina...

Hi to everyone else. I suck at that I just cannot control my eating and I will just put this out there, that it is close to impossible if one's DH buys ice cream, chocolate, chips, etc on a regular basis . There, I am a horrible person for saying it  but I had to get it out. Blaming someone else but in this case it is key. I don't buy the stuff but if it's in the house I can't keep away. Ugh.

OK done venting  Oh not yet, lol. My winter boss at the deli, KEEPS some of the dollar tips that accumulate when he and I are working. Have you ever heard of anything so effin selfish and greedy!! Out of $12, he gave me $6 and put $3 back in the jar. I am not so hard up that I NEED those singles, any of them, but what owner of a business thinks he is entitled to tips? especially when I am the smiley lady in the deli :D Eff him.

Wow I have alot of anger in me don't I

It helps a tiny bit that it is lighter in the afternoons, but I still sleep like a dead person til at least 7:oo am and today didn't get up til 8:30.

Sorry this was an "all about ME" post

02-06-2014, 10:38 AM
Hi y'all....I didn't come on here while I had a two week birthday blitz! The good news is that I somehow managed to lose a pound during it all. This has been an amazing diet and really is a lifestyle change. I'm a pound away from my original goal weight and I've lowered that down another 5. Starting on Nov 18 and going thru the holwidaze and b-day and superbowl and even Vegas has shown me I can do it...and how to do it. I have to say, the folks on the Ideal Protein board are losing masses of weight and fast, too. i did the Alternate Ideal Protein and now I'm in phase 2.

But! I'm a siingle gal and don't have to deal w/ DH or kids plus their food. I've had to scour my life of any food other than protein and veggies. And believe me...the triggers and temptations are still there. My shopping habits have changed big time. Last Sunday I purchased for the week: 2 heads cabbage, 2 heads califlower, 2 boxes mushrooms, 4 red peppers, 2 bags spinach, 2 bags celery, 3 cukes, broccoli, eggs, chicken, fish, EVOO. I had to laugh as I watched it go down the conveyor belt @ checkstand.

Sure, I want to be healthy blahblahblah....but the big goal is to look good on my bike this summer! And even wear a belt! Frank has new tires, grips, and a new sissy bar configuration (my design). Right now, his seat is in upholstery shop getting some love. Thinking I'll bling Frank a bit after seeing the fine job Reda did on hers! Hey, 4 of us bought leopard jeans in Sturgis last year (yikes). I wore mine for the first time last Sunday on a pancake ride...and they fit!!

It's great to see everyone here....all of us Road Brothas and Sistahs. This is a great place to meet...a very unique crowd!

PS...hey Leatherman....your icon is a pic of you holding up a couple of us, right?

Well Im not sure how long my job at Dunkin Donuts will last. They called me last night to tell me that they need to cut hours back & to not bother going in this week. They have only been scheduling me 1 day a week as it was. Since I had an inkling anyway with the comments I've been getting from friends about them & driving by & seeing no one in the parking lot nor in the drive threw I have decided to try something new. My cousin has been doing it & selling it for more then a year now & she loves it. I have decided to sell It Works products. I am in the process of touching up my Facebook page for it. I created it cuz the site they supply us with I do not like. I think its hard to navigate & there is no way of personalizing it. If anyone is interested in checking it out my FB is and the It Works 1 is Hope those work. Hope it works out for me. Its something that I can do from here or any place we end up living. I need to add more info to the FB page so I know what I will be doing when Im not playing any games on FB

I also had a Dr checkup this last week. I am up to 130 now cuz all Ive been wanting to do is eat latley. I was a bit jittery this morning so that is my clue that I need to get better at what type of foods Im eating again & not so much of the sweeter stuff.

02-07-2014, 04:07 PM
Dawn my DIL sells It Works, I have not tried it though, but one of my friends has tried it and she says she notices a difference-
I am sure you will like this much better than Dunkin Donuts even though it was only 1 day a week :)- Good Luck with it

So my Super Great News is I start my new job on Monday already- it is with the State of SD so great benefits and great pay as well- still taking a pay cut but it will be so worth it :) I am excited about the new job- I am just hoping that I will like a desk job???

Well I am packing as we are heading to Deadwood this weekend - figure we better get one last getaway in before the new job

Holly it is very hard when others at home don't try to help you out- my DH thinks I am fine just the way I am but I keep telling him that it surely wouldn't hurt for me to shed some pounds - I like to believe if I was single
I would have all the control and would be a skinny person but I know that is not 100% full proof at all- I guess we just do what we can do and go from there.....

Sunset glad the new way of life is working for you - and that you are looking HOT, and I know you are in those new leopard pants you bought!!!

Well gotta go- have a great weekend

02-10-2014, 09:56 AM
Reda, CONGRATS!! and today is your first day? I can't imagine the joy of a M-F, 9-ish to 5-ish job .... I hope you love it :)

Dawn I will have to check out your new venture, best wishes :)

Sunster, you are so determined and boy have you been getting the results of that ! congrats so much on your success :cheer2:

Same ol crap for me, I was so hungry at work yesterday, I tried to slip into a corner to eat my yogurt and still customers streaming in..while the boss and his wife are yapping to friends, boy do i hate people sometimes :( and NO being hungry doesn't lead me to lose weight; then I just snap and steal a big cookie and eat that as I go downstairs to get grocery bags. I suck too...ugh. Bad mindset this morning.

02-10-2014, 05:19 PM
Hi Gals. I have bounced back up 5 lbs to 259. This was after a week of eating out and a few parties. But I am back down to the weight I was before I got laid off on the 1st of December. I still have a ways to go if I want to get back in to my leather pants I bought after I lost my weight. We have snow with a side order of more snow this winter, and I have cabin fever. Hi Sunster2 Yes I can carry you gals on my shoulders. I wanted to be a bodybuilder back in high school . I lifted weights for 2 hours, almost every day back in school.

02-11-2014, 09:34 AM
Hey gals and guy! Once again, I have been MIA. I guess just everyday life gets to me and since I sit in front of a computer all day I don't do it at night.

Reda, CONGRATS on your new job! I am glad you will have a "normal" life and I bet you will be too. The benefits are awesome to have (since I am considered a state employee too).... the retirement is AWESOME!

Dawn, Congrats on your new job(s)..... where are you moving to?

Sunster, you seem to be holding pretty steady. Good Job!

Holly, I am glad the Rat B' is being better to you $ wise, but I would agree with you... he maybe just "wooing" you to stay.
Also, I agree with the teacher being rude..... that was uncalled for. But just so you don't think it is "your organization"...... my DH is the DARE officer here (teaching against drugs and violence).... it is HARD for him to get into schools too..... b/c of the national test results. The teachers were not teaching what they should have been..... the students did poorly and now they are on a strict curriculum.

Ok..... so I have some news.... first of all... let me tell you my ticker is NOT correct. I am almost back to where I started at first.... which is very sad. And I don't want to go through what I did before. So, with that said.... I am having a gastric sleeve at the end of this month....... in MEXICO... my ins will not pay b/c I lost weight before and I have not been "morbidly obese" for 3 straight years (my bad for losing weight).
I have researched a lot. I am not doing the "drive by" thing where they do it in a shopping mall.... it is a real hospital with a dual citizenship doctor who also trained in the US. I know it is dangerous.... but it can be just as dangerous here. The "package" I selected they will pick me up at the airport, I will go to my hotel, have surgery next day, stay in hotel for 3 days and they will take me back to San Diego and I will fly home.
I know people think it is the "easy" way out.... but I have been on a DIET for 24.5 years.... I am sick of yo-yoing...... I have a horrible family history of heart disease on both sides... So..... that was my choice. And I will do exactly what I need to the letter..... I am hoping to be down 75 pounds by the end of the year. I am hoping to lose 100 pounds in all.
I am so tired of not riding my bike b/c I can't fit in my leather and I look so fat..... I am tired of just being tired.... and starting a "calorie or carb" diet every Monday.
The potential plus side of this.... it may fix my other tummy problem.

So, feel free to let me know your thoughts... either positive or negative.

PS..... I am looking for someone to go with me..... all you would need is to have a passport..... and minimal $ for you to eat on. The rest would be covered under my plan..... My DH won't go and I don't have anyone else to go..... PM me if you are interested...... Feb 27-March4.

02-11-2014, 11:10 PM
Oh Tammy sweetie....I'm speaking for myself ...but I bet all of us here know the struggle, the battle, the hopeless feelings that you have. I say whatever it takes to "git er done" and really be done w' this, seemingly, forever battle.

I know a gal who had the same procedure as you and is very pleased. She calls it her "sheriff"and has lost 100lbs. I'm looking forward to reading abut your progress! Bravo!!!

02-12-2014, 10:13 PM
Thank you sooooo much! I appreciate it more than you know.

I will keep you all posted.

I am reading "my" package of information now.... and it does sound like a sheriff.... that is kinda a cool analogy of it.

Again, Thanks!

02-13-2014, 12:27 PM
Tammy I think that is awesome!! you did research and I think the package idea is kewl..I WISH i could go with you!! :(

02-13-2014, 08:04 PM
Thanks everyone. I am very excited Friday Feb 21 is my Launch party. My cousin (mentor) was asking about airports around here so I asked if she was coming to visit & thats when she said ya she wants to have a launch part for me. It from her flying to her & possibly my other cousin (who also sells the It Works) to my aunt is going to drive the 3 of them here! It has turned into a mini family reuonin for me.

I did break down & opened one of the 4 body applicators I had. I used it on my son cuz he was asking about it & I wanted to see 1st hand. There was a small difference in the before & after photo & my understanding is that it continues to do its thing for up to 72 hours after the wrap is taken off. I keep asking him if he tried on his skinny jeans to see if he noticed a difference but he hasn't. We didn't have a measuring tape to use before we started.

We plan on moving to Las Vegas sometime this yr. We are not sure when it will happen but this winter is our last here. It was 37 today & it felt so good to all the below zero stuff we've been having. I hope my aunt & cousins have nice weather for their drive. This weekend DH & I plan to go to chicago for he weekend. While we are there DH wants to go to the veterans museum. Other then that we are just going to enjoy the hotel tub & watch movies.

02-13-2014, 10:03 PM
Tammy- if I wasn't just starting a new job I would have totally went with you! I have passport and all already :) What town in Mexico are you going to? I have several friends that have had this surgery done 3 of the 4 have made it work for years and I am talking 10+ years but the 4th well he is gaining the weight back and pretty rapidly...
and this after losing almost 200 LBS- you really have to follow the plan even after you loose the weight you are wanting to loose. So how much is the procedure going to run you going to Mexico as opposed to having it in the States? I think now a days it is a very standard procedure as well, and it is great that they don't have a big incision any more either

No negative from me either because you know the struggles of taking it off and keeping it off and it is no easy task that's for sure.

Well make sure that you keep us informed on how it is going- Does the hotel you are going to have Wi-Fi? Take your computer so you can check in with us :)

Dawn - Vegas oh how the warmth sounds so good- good luck with your launch party next Friday and getting to see your family memebers

02-16-2014, 11:19 PM
Thank you all so much for the support!!!

I am going to Tijuana. My Dr is going to be Dr. Jacquline Osuna, the hospital is Mi Doctor. My DH has decided to go b/c his boss told him that his wife had a "routine" surgery here in the states and she needed him there and he was not there. So, he is going.

I started my "pre surgery" diet.... not really pleasant. The point of it is to reduce the size of the liver (an overweight person's liver has fat around it), so it will be far away from the stomach. Then next week I do the clear liquid diet..... fun stuff.... lol.

Basically when I get to eat "solid" food, it will be more or less low carbs. So, I "could" be at goal by the end of the year.

I have fixed my ticker.... it is correct as of today...... My goal lower weight has been moved lower than what I was before.

Again, Thanks for your support.

02-17-2014, 03:41 PM
Hey Tammy...I see that you and I are both tall gals and we have the same goal weight. We'll be lookin' good on those bikes, eh?! So, how about posting around your house some past pix of yourself on bike that u like? Here's a longshot.... look around Google and find a female on your bike and then photoshop your head on to it?? that's a lot of work, but something to do while on the clear liquid portion of your journey?! I'm so glad your DH will be going with you! was week one on your new job?

02-17-2014, 07:26 PM
Sunster, that's a great idea about the photo shopped bike. I will try it.

I am on day 2 of the pre op.... I won't lie.... I don't like it!!!!! Lol. But this too shall pass.

Reda, do tell about job.

02-18-2014, 09:15 AM
Hi girls, so excited that your DH is going with you now Tammy- I sure do feel better, no one should go through any surgery alone

My job well it was quite boring last week, no one had time to train me on anything then on Friday afternoon I got to start filing 2 years worth of stuff,
not sure why they didn't give that to me beginning of week instead I sat at my desk trying to find stuff to do to look busy but I know it will get better once I start training and hopefully that will be this week :)

02-18-2014, 12:27 PM
DH & I had a wonder weekend. It didnt go quite as planed but we still enjoyed it. We went to Chicago wanting to go to the Veterans Museum but DH woke up very dizzy. I could tell he wasnt feeling right, his eyes always show it. After breakfast he laid back down & I woke him at 12:30. We decided just to stay in. We used the huge tub that afternoon. Put some Epson salt in to help draw out whatever toxins he had then vegged on the couch, watched tv, surfed the web (yep everything we couldve done at home) & ordered room service. We enjoyed it. We got to sit next to each other without having the animals squeezing between us or having to worry about BIL needing his 2 beers or if he got too loud or drunk cuz he decided not to eat before drinking. DH even gave me a hand written Valentine Yesterday my daycare boy came over. He had no school & his Bday was also last week so I gave him his BDay presents & spent the day with him. Its so hard to believe he is 6 already, he started in my daycare when he 7 months. The weather has finnaly warmed up. I just hope it stays decent for when my cousins & aunt come the end of this week. Looks like they are call for a wintery mix end of this week but its really too soon to say cuz it always changes. They will be driving from PA. My cousin who wanted to have a launch party for me was talking to my other cousin who also sells the It Works products to see if she could come out too & her mom heard (who is retired now) said she would like to come too & would drive! So my launch party has turned into a mini family reunion! I so excited & hoping the weather will be nice for their drive to & from. They will get a hotel when they get hear cuz I dont have enough space for every one. I need to go look to see if I can find free websites for my cousin she wants me to help creat a site for all 3 of our It Works but cant really pay for 1 quite yet. I can create 1 & help keep it up to date for her. But Ive way just planning on relying on FB site for now till I see how it goes for me.

02-24-2014, 10:11 AM
hello! Dawn I hope the weather was ok for your family's drive?

Tammy YAY that your DH will be going with you!! I have such respect that you will be doing this for your health and life and your hotness :D

Reda sorry that you had some boring time at your new job and am sure it will be more interesting soon :)

Hey Sunster :) you are always so supportive and enthusiastic :D

and Hi Aaron!

I am so down on my appearance and I truly don't know how I look, is that delusional :?: Each day as I eat something when I'm not hungry, or eat because I'm angry, I know I am hurting only myself but I can't seem to stop.

Got through President's **** Week for another year. My boss did come through with some good $ for my extra time; yet he still thinks that he should share in the tip jar. Am I being unrealistic that I don't think an owner should be digging through the meager dollar tips and divide them with me? I tell you my whole reality is skewed on everything lately. Ugh. I need Spring.

02-24-2014, 10:12 AM
Oh my - I see that my word was censored. wow. Okay, It was H - E - 'double hockey sticks" lol

02-25-2014, 05:42 PM
Holly, I agree!!!! The owner should NOT be in the tip jar!!!! You don't get to skim some off the top for profit-- why should he get tip $ tax free???? That is not your perception being off.... It's his morals. Grrrrrrr :mad:

Thank you all for your support!!!! I am on day one of clear liquids:(:barf::barf:but I am managing. I am taking my dogs to my sons house tonight and tomorrow we are going to LIttle Rock after work cause our flight leaves at 6am Thursday. I am ready!!!!!!

I have re opened my FB account to update.... But I will try to come here.

Of note the "pre diet" brought almost 10 pound loss.... 2 protein shakes and a salad a day....

As I ramble on.... I am only going to weigh 2 times a month after surgery.... Just so I am not playing the scale game.

Hold on biker friends...... This is gonna be a different ride!!!! Never been out of country.

02-25-2014, 09:56 PM
Oh Tammy it is so soon!! :D we will be thinking of you all the time! I have only been out of the U.S. into Canada, that doesn't count, lol. How hungry were you with salad and 2 protein shakes, yikes! BUt Yay you! :cheer2: I will look for you on FB and of course here if you can manage.
Yeah it is crazy how my boss can NOT give up those meager, soiled, crinkled one dollar bills  yet he paid me the equivalent of $25/hour for the extra hours I did, and he felt he had to keep $5 out of $15 in tips. Whatever, I am OUT of there is 7 weeks :D

Well I have completed 2 days on spare yet healthy eating. As I sit here, evening in front of the TV and with computer on my lap, I want the feeling of being full in the tummy, and usually I would do that with a piece of pb toast, a bowl of cereal, leftovers from dinner, every single night. If I can break that habit, that is fantastic. The other habit is eating something at work in the afternoon out of boredom or out of actual hunger because I'm not given the time to actually eat (and because it tastes sooo good). And third, is working on the big dinner portions; I come through the door when home from work, and my DH has dinner ready which is always delicious, and I change my clothes and dig in and it is so good just to relax from work and enjoy the food and that full feeling in the stomach.

and...this is awful, but somehow I'm also vaguely thinking that if my DH can let himself completely go (and HAS) why shouldn't I?

So I have to accept that this feeling in my stomach is NOT hunger, just because it is not full at the moment. And I have to face and accept that when I eat something sweet and pastry-delicious, I am only hurting myself and delaying my results.

02-27-2014, 11:21 AM

02-27-2014, 07:43 PM
Wowie Exciting! I checked in here thinking Tammy is on her way! Yeah go girl!

02-27-2014, 11:10 PM
First, Yay Tammy for being on her way! :D we are thinking of you girl!

second - the ? I posted above, was because someone posted, I think the user's name was 'feedbackers1', she had quoted something I said, yet didn't add anything else..I looked her up and she just joined today but had posted like 32 times in ALL different forums and threads..maybe she was a spammer has had been deleted, because her post above has disappeared. Whatever! :)

completed Day 4 of sensible, calorie-wise eating!! yay to repeat that about 100 more times :p

02-28-2014, 09:08 AM
I reached my first goal (-20) this morning. 5 to go and I have to say this is the scary time. In mid Nov, it was easy and lots came off fast. 3 mos later and I'm losing up to a pound every week. I'm close enuf to goal now that I feel good, really good....and that's dangerous! But the past 3 months has taught me that I can't go back to processed foods or refined sugar. Lots of info on the Ideal Protein page in including maintenance. "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels" is true true true. I've been trying on my belts w/jeans and I'll be wearing them this summer on Frank....and that is/was the main goal!

I've learned from the IP page that planning ahead is a must. Also, I haave baggie full of veggies ready for each day. Now, THAT'S something I never ever never liked...but now I do! It gets rid of that awful deprived/starving feeling. I'm amazed at how good red peppers are and that bland old celery is good for crunch...who knew??!!! And water?? I think I hear sloshing when I move...

I joined 3FC for the ticker! But I found you all and that has been the best part of this mini journey. I say mini...because my measly weight loss is nothing compared to others with 50, 100 and more. But, a battle is a battle, and I appreciate your support and for writing your journeys for me to read. I'm on the hardest part now...keeping it off. No more yo-yo'ing and that will be a first.

Hey I'm headed to AZ bike week in the first wk of April....anyone else? If I could wave my magic would all be there!

Sending good vibes to Tammy...this is the day, I exciting!

02-28-2014, 09:22 AM
And Cupcake darlin' GO! Four days means you've done it! They say the first 3 days are the hardest, right?! And isn't it 21 days to incorporate a new skill? So, 17 days to go. And hey, your ticker sez your almost half way there. I'm rootin' for ya, road sistah!!

02-28-2014, 09:28 AM
geeze...I can't stop posting this morning!

The paper clips (one per pound) has helped! Wise words on kitchen cabinets, the fridge, and truck dash helped, too.

02-28-2014, 10:32 AM

CONGRATS SUNSTER!!! :cheer2: :bravo::dancer::flow1: If we can help you to remember to stay away from processed foods and refined sugar we will! Yay for your hard work and success!! YOu must feel so great!! :carrot:

thanks for the rootin for me :D I should have known not to step on the scale this morining, already, I should throw the scale away because I hate it so much. :(

I know I need to be realistic but shee-it, I haven't had a cookie or pastry or anything bad for days (where before I was having something daily) and have not had after dinner snacks as before..yet I am the same weight. I will keep on though!! It is true that I feel triumphant that I got through those few days, whereas before I couldn't feel like I could do one day.

I just had to eat my breakfast/lunch now, at 9:30 a.m., because I can't get to it for the next 8 hours, grr. I have tried eating RIGHT before arriving at work, at 10:55 a.m., but that's in my car, parked outside my work, and that just sux. Okay I'm done whining..for now :p

HI to everyone and Tammy we are thinking of you!

03-01-2014, 07:29 PM
UGH...the scale!! A love hate relationship for sure. So, now I have mine in my cold dark garage and in a hard to reach place. I weigh in the am and reeeely must want to go out there to weigh...buck nekkid, at that! So, I go like once a week or every other. It's the fit of jeans and the mirror that I'm relying on now.

It seems as if the scale controls if I have a gain after being deprived for so long, I just hate it! It kinda hangs with me all day and usually I lose the battle. Weirdness.

03-02-2014, 09:50 AM
oh, the scale controls me too! I am sure thaat even if I knew I was a small and fit size 8, if I saw over 150 on the scale, that would throw me into a dark funk.

well eating at 9:30 am yesterday did not work for me, I was very hungry and empty feeling at 2 pm and only had my cup of yogurt, which did not satisfy or fill me so that sucked. So I have 4 steps (days) ahead, fall back 1 and a half. Ugh I will keep trying.

thinking of Tammy!

03-02-2014, 11:30 AM
Just made the Proti Diet pancakes w/Walden Farms syrup and wowsah! After 3 months of consuming mostly veggies , protein, and leafy leaf leaves...this was a near orgasmic experience!!!

I've come to enjoy that empty feeling, Cupcake, because I don't get that when I'm consuming everything in sight. So, a quick boiled egg, a Quest bar, or an EAS drink, that I have stashed everywhere, does the trick. A few minutes later, I'm ok again. I catch myself thinking, "Wow, so that's what hunger is."

Wonder how Tammy is doing. did launch go? By the biker name is can be Sunrise!

03-02-2014, 11:23 PM
Hi girls!!

Well now that I think I am acclimated to the new job it is time to start going back to the gym- I haven't been eating good :( but got on scale today and it showed I lost 3 pounds since the last time I was on and I am really not sure when it was - but I do know that I need to start watching portion control- this is my down fall, I think I can eat what I want if I would just cut back on how much I eat!!!!

Hi Tammy hope you get to check in soon- Glad to hear all went well for you, was thinking of you today then logged into Facebook and seen you posted!

Yes Dawn how did your "It Works" launch go?

Holly can't believe you only have 7 weeks left at the store, then on to your summer job, let the countdown begin....

Well I am so sick of winter, I think we got another like 6-8 inches of snow over the weekend and below zero temps for our high, I know we need the moisture but I just can't take it anymore, my bike is not ready for riding yet either, I have 16" apes on my bike and I can ride just fine with them but I am going to 14" apes, I just think I will feel more comfortable with them,
also adding lowers to my bike this winter, which I got but still in box, got my fairing back in Oct and got it on but haven't been able to ride with it yet, only like 10 miles I think. Got some new extended bags, actually took my hubby's since he got a new bike. So not I have a set of extended bags that I have blinged out that I am trying to decide to sell with bling or take bling off before selling.....

Well I suppose I should get off here, shoot darts tomorrow night so probably won't get to check in

Have a Great Week

03-03-2014, 08:33 PM
Hey y'all!!!

Sunster, u are right a battle is a battle. And shedding processed foods is a major accomplishment! I am sooooo glad u found us here. Also the scale controls me too.

Reda, glad you are getting used to your job and a "normal" life. Let me know if u sell the saddle bags. But then we would be close at Bikers, Blues, and BBQ

Holly, wow... Only 7weeks of that job!! Yay. I know u can rock the SB diet... Hang in there. Btw, you always rock the biker chick look.

Thanks for all the well wishes and thoughts. I am still in Mexico. I get my drain out tonight (the dr comes here). I will be sooo glad. I hate that thing... It's nasty. That and the horrendous gas after surgery are my only complaints. The hospital was "basic" but very clean. Service was by far better than US healthcare service. We leave tomorrow. It is sunny and 65 here and we just got a huge snow/sleet storm at home so I don't know if we will get home tomorrow.
Ok.... So details of after surgery.... I am on a clear liquid diet for 2 weeks, then full liquid. I won't have "real" food until April. But I have NO appetite.... None, zip, nada, zero!!!! When I do "eat" I can hold a total of about 2-3 ounces. When I drink I take about an eye dropper in at a time. That's the hard part for me. So I have to pretty much carry a drink w me all the time. But when I do get food, I am going to stick to low carb.... Just is I can lose weight as healthy as I can. Btw, when I take a bigger drink than I am supposed to it feels like I swallowed a cow and it hurts. Usually I "burp" it up. A girl suggested I get a sippie (?spelling) cup.... I can see me w a sippie cup on my RoadQueen. Lol

My DH is thinking of doing it now, they would have done him at same time as me but he didn't do the pre diet. They have a complete well organized system there. I met a few ppl. I didn't get any email addresses or anything.... I have my support group here . There are A LOT of Canadians going there.

Well, I am gonna go sit and look outside. I will let you know when I get home.

Hi all. Been a loooong time since posting! I think I was just too bummed and my eating was out of control. I had done so well, and then failed so miserably! I'm back at the diet. Back to 10 # a month goal. So far so good.

Congratulations are in order for everyone, but for different things! Moving, new jobs, surgery, mini-goals... I've missed out on a lot! I keep up with a some of you on FB, but not like on the forum here.

We did go to Cancun, and had a great time. The next vacation is booked for June to go to Lead, South Dakota for a week and then Vail, Colorado on DH's cycle. Not taking mine--gonna save the gas.

I did make some "improvements" to my bike. LED lights and lots more chrome and bling.

Vacation planning and cycle pimping came BEFORE we had our taxes done, where we found out we get to PAY $4400!!! Wow! What a shock! We were NOT prepared for that! Creative financing before April 15th is in order!

Tammy, hope your surgery works as planned!! I am so excited for you!

Summer is just around the corner. I hope! Looking so forward to it!!

Hi girls

Well got home way to late last night after darts- but I did win 3 of my 4 games- whoo hooo :)

Tammy if you are seriously interested let me know, you can send me a PM - I will try to get some close up pictures this weekend - I think even if we hook up at BBB in Sept it will be just fine because I think I will be going a different direction or theme with these new ones- not sure what yet but something. I do also have my windshield but DH has cut it down some and might night be a good fit for you since you are quite a bit taller than me, but actually it was just the chrome frame work in the front that I added bling to so that would be easily taken apart and shipped.

Colleen sounds like some good vacation plans coming up, ours well they are going to be slim pickens but a few long weekend rides, starting the new job kinda put a damper on that and of course the pay cut that I took but it has been so worth it!!!

Yes I am looking forward to some sunshine and warmer weather-

Well I suppose I should get off here and get some work done- tomorrow is hump day then down hill slide to the weekend

03-05-2014, 06:23 PM
Hey Ladies I am home!!!!! It was a long trip yesterday and today. We got delayed in Dallas for 3 hours, we got in Little Rock at midnight and after traveling all day we "thought" we were going to stay, but Wayne met a guy in the store that made our decision. A truck driver took 13 hours to get to the area where we were driving. So, we did stay and drove home this AM.
Overall, it was a good trip. My doctors and the hospital were good. I am not crazy about the area (I did NOOOO shopping), but it was good.

Now I just stick to the diet and build my endurance back up. It was amazing to see the system they have there in regards to the surgeries. It is a constant revolving door. BUT, they have the best care. It was very good.

Enough about me.

Colleen :carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot: to see you back and back on track. I know what you were going through not wanting to post when the diet is bad...

Reda, I can't wait for BBB!

Holly, I need to pick your culinary brain. I need clear liquid diet ideas (besides broth, jello, juice)... or ways to spruce it up. Then liquid diet stuff....

I am ready for Spring!!!

Well, I am going to get busy holding down the recliner. Lol.

03-05-2014, 06:26 PM
Oh, I forgot.....

Sunster2, do you have a recipe for the pancakes?

Ladies, if you have any high protein recipes like the pancakes, I am all ears.

03-07-2014, 09:49 AM
Tammy welcome home!! I am so glad things went smoothly and you're back. Wow a dropper full of liquid at a time  I am sorry i am no help about clear liquids :( seems the only liquid I know about is melted butter :o  lately.

Colleeen so good to see you here :) but GAH at that amount of taxes , what a shock!!

Reda seems a shame to sell your bags after you spent the time blinging them but you know what's best. Yeah we are SICK of this cold! and snow. HOw is the new job?

Yes my countdown is so much more in sight now, of getting out of the winter job. Oh at least, we abolished the tip jar, it was just too much temptation for the Rat B@st@rd boss to keep out of. And he gave me his cold by spraying his disgusting germs all over the place for days.

I had about FOUR days on program and then spiraled badly. Every day I start again to try.

well today's my Monday, ugh. Just got to get it over with :p

03-07-2014, 02:37 PM
Hi girls -

Tammy how are things going for you? Only liquid till April, that could get tough but you know what the end result is and that will keep you motivated I am sure :) So is DH still thinking about going to have the surgery or has that went to the wayside?

Holly I am on that same freakin boat, just can't seem to stay on track! Something has to give I am going to need to look as HOT as Tammy at BBBQ in September. Sorry you got the boss's cold finally got rid of mine!

Selling my extended bags because I have a new set of extended bags that I will start blinging out this weekend, just not sure what I am going to do yet but defiantly something......

Well back to work for me- but it is Friday!

03-07-2014, 03:16 PM
Hello ladies, I'm a newbie, but do enjoy riding every chance I get. I hope to get some support and good stories out of this thread. Wishing each of you the best!!

03-07-2014, 09:04 PM
Welcome SMeeker71!!!!!!:welcome::welcome3::welcome2:

We are all on a roller coaster doing the best we can! My name is Tammy. I ride a 2010 Road King (Queen). I have been on a roller coaster for 24.5 years, gaining then losing 100, gaining and then losing..... I think over time I have lost 1000 pounds, at least. I decided to take advantage of gastric sleeve, so I had it done in Mexico (My ins wont pay for it here in the states) one week ago today.

Just join right in.....

03-07-2014, 10:35 PM
Thank you Tammy! Between my husband and I, we have an 83 Shovel head, 99 Road King and 2012 Wide Glide.

I had an issue with my weight about 15 years ago, and honestly, I don't know what happened but it just started coming off. This time, it just seemed to come out of no where. Hopefully I will start seeing some kind of results, as of now, I seem to still be gaining weight, it's very frustrating

03-08-2014, 12:17 AM
Welcome SMeeker71-

I am Reda from South Dakota, I also have a 2010 roadking, that I have been doing lots of upgrades to, like fairing, lowers, put extended bags, streetglide front fender and rear fender, but the biggest project has been tastefully adding Swarovski crystals to it!!!! :)

I started gaining my weight about 10 years ago and I think I can blame it on beer, don't get me wrong I don't go out drinking every night but maybe a couple times a week we will go out and have a few beers. But my exercising is lacking as well, and well my eating, lets just say I like food!!! I use to be able to loose weight alittle quicker but now a days just doesn't work that way.

Well I better get off here - will check back in this weekend

03-08-2014, 05:15 PM
Hey ladies, just a quick post to tell u my new fav "food". I am still on the "clearliquid" diet.... But I got to add a protein shake. I got a peanut butter and chocolate when I was on pre diet. Since my stomach can hold so little I refrozen what I had....... OMG!!!! It's the bomb. Like a recess PB cup ice cream. It is so awesome! Very high in protein.

03-08-2014, 11:03 PM
Hi all and welcome home, Tammy! It's going to be fun to follow ur progress. Hey those fab pancakes are packaged and made by Proti. Can be ordered online or do u have a local carb store?

Welcome Smeeker to this unique group!

Hey Reda...I was thinking of u today as I put oodles of Swarovsky crystals on Frank's anniversary emblems. Then took a ride around town on errands, admiring him in windows at stop lights...we all do that, right? Well, my street jacket is looser and feeling good...not sausage-like anymore.

03-09-2014, 05:58 PM
Hello everyone. Been a bit busy here. My launch party was not as huge as I had hoped but it was still good. I got to see how my cousin does her thing & sold 2 wraps. We had a wonderful time visiting while they were here in IA. Since she has left I have sold another 2 wrap & have tried the facial (loved it) Relief (2 days now) & the Greens (4 days) I do think I have been feeling better with more energy & sleeping better since starting the greens. I am using the hashtags on my FB page. Im not sure if its helping any or not. In the chance that it is what are some key words that you all may suggest I use that I may not already be using?

I excited about it though cuz I have a table reserved at the dbq fairgrounds garage sale & 1 at the blind society garage sale at the end of this month. I ordered one of those card readers for my phone so I can accept credit cards if needed.

The last time I was at the Dr I did find out I gained a couple lbs but not too much to be worried about it quite yet. I still fit in my size 4s :)

03-09-2014, 09:46 PM
HI girls

Dawn congrats on the launch party - I think getting 2 sold during and then 2 more sold after is a pretty good start.

Sunster you will need to take some pictures and send them to me on the phone or you can surely post them here.

Tammy what brand of protein shakes are you using? I love peanut butter cups and if I can substitute a protein shake for ice cream that has to be better for you, don't you think??

Got my handle bars switched out yesterday, also got my new headlight with pink LED's around the headlight that we wired up as blinkers as well- these are awesome - posting link to ebay so you can see them
I actually only paid $34.95 which we didn't think was to bad at all. Still have to get lowers put together so that we can put them on, but will need to add some bling first. I did bring my fairing in the house so that I can start adding Swarovski crystals to it- already know what I am doing it is just a matter of doing it now.

Also got to go riding today, well I rode with DH because my bike is not ready to be out, I don't have windshield or fairing on it right now and we were not warm enough to be riding without either one of those- but it sure was nice to get our and ride today even if we only put on 120 miles. Suppose to be even nicer tomorrow but I have to work and no way of getting out of there early with just starting and all :(

Tammy finalized our motel reservation for BBBQ we will be staying at the Super 8 on Shiloh it is $140 plus tax a night and we are staying for 3 nights Thurs, Fri and Sat (25,26, and 27th) just an FYI, hopefully you will get to come even if for only a day.

Ok well I suppose Walking Dead and Ressurection is about to start :)

03-10-2014, 08:46 PM
The brand I got was from WM and u can get it at Kroger also. It's "Body Fortress". It is good made w water or skim milk (to me at least). My DH likes the strawberry.... But I am not a huge fan of anything strawberry. They definately should be better than ice cream. Just remember the colder the better. I pay 15.88 for a big canister of it.

I love the lights on the bike!!! I can't wait to see you at BBBQ!
I also love the walking dead!!!! This season is disturbing to me... I just want them to be together again!

I am gonna get off here.... Today was my first day of work...I am pretty tired.

03-10-2014, 11:07 PM
Hi Gals. I am not losing my weight like I want to. We have so much snow and ice and cold weather that I have not had many days to go out for a walk. We have had a long winter with more days below freezing and more snow than most of the old timers can remember. I hope I am back on track this week. I think it will be 2-3 weeks before I can get my bike out.

03-11-2014, 10:03 PM
Finally, the snow is melting!! Back to below freezing temps tomorrow, but it was exciting to see a cycle out and about yesterday. (even if the guy was crazy--so much salt and sand on the road!)

Thank you all for the nice welcome back.

Hi SMeeker71. Welcome to you too! I'm Colleen. I ride a 2011 Heritage Softail that I have blinged, chromed and leathered up. My DH has a 2014 Ultra Classic Limited. I promised I'd try it out for myself before we head out for vacation. It seems so much more top-heavy than the Softail... I've never NOT been too heavy. I was born too heavy! I worked hard and lost over 80 pounds, and then promptly gained 50 back! I'm back on track (not counting this past weekend) and have a plan to get further for longer on my weight loss journey!

Tammy--you are 100% right on the roller-coaster analogy!

03-12-2014, 10:36 AM
hey Leather...judging from ur ticker, you ARE losing and plenty, too. The last 10 are brutal, for sure. I'm trying to see my last few as training ground for continuing the eating habits I've learned. I have to fight the urge to go back to the old ways.

Plus, my #1goal is to be lookin' good on the road this year! yeah yeah healthy blablabla. And to y'all in the coldness, riding season is right around the corner...hang in there :dizzy:

ok Reda/Tammy...tell this cali gurl...what is BBBQ?

03-12-2014, 08:45 PM
Bikers, Blues, and BBQ in Fayetteville. It's a weekend bike rally.

03-13-2014, 12:02 PM
Morning ladies (&Gent) I bought some size 3 pants off of FB the other day & well lets just say I think who ever made them were out of there mind. The tags were still on them from the store so I know they didn't shrink. I went to try them on & well lets just say 1 leg sorta got in them. No way was I gonna get both legs plus my butt in the pants. They have become my goal cuz I have spent years looking for white dress pants & could never find them. They may be unrealistic (might not be?) But they will help me from gaining more & won't allow myself to get to 160 again. But then I am selling It Works products which should also help that from happening. I have my brother in law & myself on the greens for over a week now. I like to mix it in with juice. That way its not green colored. Im not sure if I could drink it if it was green :dizzy: My BIL is an alcohalic so I am very proud of him for choosing to do something healthy for himself. I even got my DH talked into trying them but I need to order more before I get him started. I have also been on the Relief for about a week. I think I am starting to feel a difference. I am only taking pain med from the Dr that is supposed to be 2 pills every 3 times a day to 2 times a day & only taking1 Aleve 1-2 times a day instead of 2 of them 1-2 times a day plus advil or tylonal in between. The last 2 nights I also have not taken a PM sleeping pill. To me that is an added bonus cuz I didn't think that my new It Works that I have been taking would help me with that.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a decent hotel at Niagara Falls? I still need to find one for our wedding in May. I don't want one that expensive & fancy but nice & clean. Free breakfast & a hot tub would be nice. We have decided that we will drive. There are 3 of us so figured that'll be cheaper then getting plane tickets plus DH hates to fly. He was a Ranger & jumped out of them in Vietnam so he avoids them now if he can.

03-13-2014, 01:48 PM
Haven't checked in the past couple of days, been frustrated at not seeing any positive changes in the scale. Started to say whatever, I'll just eat what I want and deal with it. But, my body feels the extra weight and that wreaks havoc on my mental state.

I am pulling myself back up and out of the funk and I'm going to keep plugging. I just have to keep telling myself, this is for me and no one else so I will be the only one that I am letting down if I don't stick to it!

03-14-2014, 08:46 AM
:welcome3: SMeeker! nice to have you here :) I'm Holly, 53, in freezing Vermont. I have an '04 Honda VTX 1300C. When the weather finally gets OK for riding up here (not til April) I commute to work about 90% time. With my weight, I go up and down but mostly up :p I am technically 'just' 10 pounds to be considered overweight for my height, but I feel wonderful if I'm in the mid 140's.

Tammy I'm glad you found something yummy to have! How have your work days been, do you have OK strength?

Sunster, I love the image of you riding around town and admiring your sparkles in the store windows :D

Dawn I think being a size 4 is awesome!! never mind those silly wrong-sized 3's. We have ridden near Niagra Falls but never stopped for the night.

Reda, I saw the pic of FB of the bikes outside, that is great that you got a ride already!! and the LEDs around the headlight are SO pretty.

Hi Aaron, I hope the weather changes for you for the better so you can get outside too.

Well we got close to 24" of snow from Wed - Thursday and I'll see if I can attach a pic or two. And it is freakin COLD, it's -15 this morning (not wind chill, still air temperature). But we can have big changes in a month's time and I am hoping so much that we have a warm up soon!!

03-14-2014, 08:50 AM
Snow pics

my hands were so cold it was hard to take good pics

03-15-2014, 02:42 PM
Hi girls and Aaron-

Sunster - BBBQ is a bike rally that starts on the 24th Thursday and last till Sunday. I do believe they have some campgrounds where all the partying is, but Dickson Street is where all the bikes go and hang out (just like the main drag in Sturgis)

Holly wow that is some snow, we haven't gotten that much snow this year at all but we have been cold. Had a couple nice days in the 60s then we went right back down hovering over -0- but this week we are looking at 30's-60's again.

Yep I still haven't started back at the gym, and while I thought I was really watching what I was eating my portions are not under control at all.....

Smeeker you will rock it as we all know it is a struggle!

Have Karly (granddaughter) today and she is getting so big already, hard to believe in 3 months she will be 2 already :)

Have a great weekend

03-15-2014, 05:59 PM
Wow. I cannot believe Karly will be 2..... holy cow time flies.
Are you still liking your new job? I know you are loving the "normal" life again..... it is very hard to get back to the gym when you have gotten off a routine.

Holly, I feel bad for griping about our little snow and sleet storms. That is a lot of snow. My DH said its almost safe to say we won't be visiting you in the winter. Lol.

Sunster, sorry I was so vague about the BBBQ. Maybe you can come too! I prolly won't stay all 3 days, but it will be cool for us all to meet. And, I am soooo with you on looking good on the road. I don't want to be the typical "older fat woman" on the Harley. I read an article that says that is all you see on Harleys...... I am driven not to be that person..... as well, to not die before it is time of a heart attack.

Sooooo, my tracker is still "off" by 2 pounds, but I left it. However, since I started this pre diet I have lost 22 pounds, I lost 7 of that last week!!!!! I still don't have much of an appetite. I can look at food and think "that looks good, or I used to like it", but I don't crave it to eat. It is very hard for me to get the water in that I need to b/c I have to drink so slow and small sips.
I am VERY happy about the weight I have lost.... I was hoping I did not get my gut cut for nothing. lol. Friday I got to start "full liquids". I had tomato soup from Panera Bread. I thought well "330"calories is not bad for that.... I guess it is just a habit. But, I could not even eat half of it. It was soooo good. I did discover that for some reason, my stomach will not tolerate OJ. They tell you to try again in like a month if you cannot tolerate something.

I think during these few weeks of a very limited diet..... it has helped me "deal" with some food issues. It proves to me that all the junk I was eating.... was just recreational eating. I really don't need that to survive. Lol. I did a lot of recreational eating. We ate out soooo much..... so with me having this surgery we should be saving some major $. I am not sure if I told you or not but they gave me a card to show that I had surgery so I can eat of children's menu. Lol.

Anyway, that is what I am up to.

03-16-2014, 10:57 PM
Tammy my job is going great- I am actually liking it very well, now that I am getting a little busier, I am used to being busy and have a very hard time not staying busy but I have done all the cleaning that can be done in the office, plus all the filing and organizing there is to do.... But this
week is end of payroll so I will be busy going through 140 employee timesheets for descrepancies and all.... Plus we hired 3 new employees so I will have to do all paperwork and computer set ups for them.
I am sure you are excited about getting full liquids, at least you will get some flavor now. So has DH gave any more thought to going over and having the surgery done as well?

We got DH's apes on his new bike yesterday and only took 4.5 hours the new bikes don't have much for wiring like the 2013 and older they usually take us about 7-8 hours to do. Just need to get my stuff finished now and only I can do it because DH can't help me add bling to my stuff it would all be crooked probably, not that I am a pro by all means..... I need to get it done because our first bike run is Easter Weekend (Flood Run) along the MN-WI boarder. Besides the fact that I would like to hopefully loose about 10 LBS just to get it started.

Hope everyone else is doing good. I am going to watch Walking Dead now, have a good night

03-17-2014, 11:57 AM
Holly I hope that snow melts fast. I know I am sick of it. Greatful that the last snow that they called for up to 3 inches didnt stick too much & what did melted away already. We can see the ground! Warmer days I see a few bikes out which gives my the itch but there is still way too much salt & grime on the roads to get it out yet, not too mention a little chilly once you get going :)

03-19-2014, 12:38 PM
Hi chicks,

Reda I am glad you are liking the job, especially when you have alot to do around payroll, is that your specialty area? I remember you speaking of the Flood Run and that is only one month from now? I hope your weather is great for that. And maybe you and me can lose 10 pound soon!!

Tammy, just so many congrats from me :D on the surgery and you are doing so well adapting!! Oh you have NAILED it on recreational eating, how can I try to make myself embrace that and remember it.

Hi Dawn :) your avatar pic is nice

I am struggling with not only MY lack of self control, but I am being a jerk and also silently blaming my DH; I will be white-knuckling through a snack-free evening and then when I see him have a huge bowl of ice cream with syrup, it makes me feel like 'why bother' :?: Or at work, my anger issues with my jerk boss, when they all leave and I am alone to deal with his stupid customers, I know I eat out of revenge.

I have been struggling with apathy, on my days off I do the absolute minimum (dishes, vacuum, pick up a bit) then go back to bed. Spring just seems impossible. You know how I love the riding weather, and my summer job, but this snow/cold/crappy winter job is flattening my will completely. Ugh I'm a mess, lol.

03-19-2014, 04:18 PM
Holly Thx you. That is from my marriage ceremony in Las Vegas. DH pic is very nice too. It was great but I cant wait for our wedding in the Falls. We finaly got a hotel reserved. Its about 20 miles from the falls but must be close to the air port due to the name. Were going to arrive on Saturday night, have Sunday to do whatever we want. Get married on Monday Then stay till Wednesday. We are driving so we want to have a few days that we can recoop from the drive.

I know what you mean about the winter weather. We are finaly at the point that we can see the ground again but it cant make up its mind if it wants to rain or snow. We are also at that sweet spot for freezing temps. At night we need to remember to leave an upstairs faucet drip.

I am loving my new adventure (It Works) Im not working much at Dunkin Donuts. They usually only schedule me on Fridays but this week they didnt schedule me at all. So I have been taking my time this week to dress in my IBM work clothes (the ones that still fit) & going out to the different salons & the Tanning place here in town to see if they would like to be a distributor & sell out of their salons. I have a few that is a maybe & some that have said not at this time. I do have 1 that will be selling it. I had to order more business cards already cuz of all the places I have stopped at.

I love being able to tell people that I have been taking the greens & the Relief. The longer I am on it the better I feel & I dont hurt as much as I used to :carrot: I have not taken any Tylonal or Ibprophin in more then a week now :^: & even stoped taking 1 dose of my Dr meds. I am still popping more pills then I like but am working on cutting them back.

03-21-2014, 10:55 PM
Dawn that is great that you are feeling such relief from your regimen! :)

OK I am still having such a hard time with this computer, I can't even figure out how to cut and paste..I described my horrible day in the Depression section, "Ups and Downs Support Group" and I can't even figure out how to copy the link :( but if you want to read about how a customer groped me today, it's there

03-22-2014, 01:09 AM
50 degree day! But I had to work! DH got to go for a nice ride without me though. I was jealous! I am sooo happy that "Spring" is the the high temps for tomorrow is still below's my favorite time of year. I really excited to see GREEN on the trees or grass! Soon, very soon.

I made month 2 goal of 10 pounds. Went out for supper tonight. I thought I was a genius bringing my own low cal dressing! I still eat and drink what I want on weekends, but really watch the eating during the week. That isn't a plan for everyone, but it seems to work for me.

We signed up for "Freedom Run" for the summer on the cycles. It's a local fundraiser.

Hope the rest of you will be getting in some good riding time soon!

03-23-2014, 02:37 PM
WTG!!!!! I say do what works for you.

Well, I lost another couple pounds..... but I have a setback. I busted that incision that is the slow healing one. I am back on antibiotics and I have to go to wound care tomorrow. IT is very minor..... but nonetheless a bit bothersome. It is right where my "fat" bends under my bellybutton..... so it is just having a hard time. I guess spring cleaning should have waited....

I get "soft" foods Friday (eggs, mashed potatoes). I ate some soupy grits this AM. My tummy is NOT happy with that.

Oh well.

I hope you all are digging out from Winter. It is pretty here.

Will gab more later.

03-24-2014, 10:22 AM
Colleen that is kewl that your husband at least got a ride!

Tammy - ouch! sorry you busted open your incision :( I hope it heals quickly! and that you can enjoy some eggs on Friday!

I confronted the 'hand-sy' customer who groped me yesterday, then i was so angry that Rat B@stard boss still said nothing, so I dropped the eff bomb on tense day at work. Boss did follow Gropey Guy outside, but he did not tell me that he addressed teh situation; so I have a preliminary investigative questionnaire for the State's Attorney Office almost filled out and will just need to complete and hit 'send' .

Ladies, may we all be able to deal with neanderthals who think they can feel/squeeze us up!! and try to punish those who think it's no big deal.

03-27-2014, 12:43 AM
Holly, That isn't right that the boss didn't stand up for you! Glad you had the guts to tell the guy off!

Tammy, I was wondering how you have been doing. Hoping for the best for you! Soft foods will be a lovely treat! Hope they go over better than the grits did.

It was 15 degrees today!! Good news is that on Sunday it could be up to 60...and time for me to take a ride!!

Tomorrow grandson turns 2. Working from home for part of the day and then a dentist appt. (broke a tooth eating an EGG--not saying much for my cooking is it!?) After that, birthday celebrations! Everything is a Mickey Mouse theme.

Hope everyone is feeling better for riding season!

03-27-2014, 09:24 AM
just now, I had to step on that scale 3x to believe my eyes. Finally got to 162. I've been coming on just to read your posts....thank you all. Heading out to AZ bike week and plan to post while I'm on the road. I appreciate this group more than you know :)

03-28-2014, 07:16 PM
Yay Sunster!!!!!! Stay in the 160s.... I will be there in a few months. Lol.

Holly, how is work going? I cannot believe the RB did not do anything to the customer.

Colleen, wow, I cannot believe the grandbaby is 2..... life zooms by....

Reda, How are you?

So, I did get to eat..... I actually ate a fried egg last night at our normal place on Thursdays (little Bar and Grill)...... they fixed it for me special..... I got a little of the white down and yolk, and 3/4 of ONE French fry.
Today I was not so lucky with the egg. I got sick and had to come home b/c I did not want to throw up in the hospitals toilets (we lease a space in the hospital). I just got down about 2 ounces of unbreaded fish.... I am trying really hard to keep my protein where it needs to be.... and stay hydrated. I am having a VERY hard time of it.... but I think it is normal.
My incision is healing really well now. It is "closed" some.... just a little more to go.
I went to my doctor yesterday...... Good news.... I have lost 29.2 pounds (today is my month since surgery-- I hate the word surgiversary)...... but I am dehydrated  It is so hard trying to make yourself drink by just sipping..... but hey, that is what I signed up for.

Thanks for listening to my troubles.... I know it is going to turn around.

I am going to get off here.... it is starting to storm.

I have to share my results! I did my 3rd wrap yesterday. The 1st 2 I had bloated & didnt really see much of a difference but after I put the pictures side by side I am loving it! We did our best to stand at same place same distance for all the pictures. 4 applications is the suggested amount to use to get optimal results (can continue if with more if want) But I am feeling great! I can also move again! Havent taken any Ibprophin, Tylonal or aleve in a couple weeks.

I have quite a few people interested in the products but they are all skeptical of trying/buying. I understand I was too but I really hope I can get this to take off soon. Dunkin has now changed my schedule to every other Friday. I am looking at trying to host an my 1st online party. The 1st one will be more informative untill I feel more confertable then will have it as a online wrap party. I like my job at Dunkin so I dont want to quit but I might cuz if I only work 4-6 hours it doesnt really make sence.

04-02-2014, 04:37 PM
I have a virtual party set up if anyone is interested for next Monday at 7pm Central time Its open to everyone so feel free to drop in.

Hi to everyone.

A few too many birthday treats has been hard on me this past week! One coworker purposely sabotages my dieting efforts! It's really hard not to eat the food delivered right to my desk at work!! I'm still on track--back at it!

Tammy, 29.2 pounds in a MONTH! Wow! What a huge drop! Wishing you the best!

Dawn thanks for sharing the info on the wraps. I too, was skeptical. Glad it's working well for you.

We went out for a cycle ride last weekend--not long but still great to get out on my own bike again! Looking forward to maybe doing it again Sunday.

04-05-2014, 06:10 PM
Colleen, Wow, your ticker is moving!!!!! Yay. Congrats to you.

Reda, I am sorry you are dealing with the food sabotaging co worker. I have a lot of them that range from my cheering squad to "come on, one XXX won't hurt"......

Holly, how many weeks at the dreaded winter job? It seems like it should be getting close to the summer job.

Sunster.... so tell me your stats (jean size) etc. I will be joining you in a few months. You have done soooo well on this program! Btw, I think I speak for all of us..... we enjoy having you here. Most of us found this site on "accident"..... but glad we have a friendship here.

Dawn, The wraps look like they are doing good on you.

I finally have my belly healed... BUT, I spent last Sunday in the ER (first time in my adult life to go to the ER)...... but I thought I was dying I had such horrible pain. I had no clue what was wrong.... but I had a kidney stone. Well, I still have it.... but I am trying to get rid of it by drinking a lot of water.... which is hard. But, other than that I am ok.
I am still on soft foods..... but will get a full diet this coming Friday. You know, all in all, I have NOOOOO desire to eat candy and junk. I do have a few foods I would like to have.... but those are not part of my "want" list. And, I had a NSV..... I fit into JUNIOR size pants today!!!! I was an 18/20w when I started (mostly tight 20s) but now I am in a junior jean..... albeit a big size junior 17..... but still a jean. Also I went to LR this week for business and my dress clothing is too big!!! So, it is a process.
I am down 32 pounds now.

Well, I will gab more later.

04-07-2014, 10:56 PM
Ugggh, Tammy, kidney stones!? Along with your surgery ordeal...that doesn't sound like a fun time at all! Hope they go away without having to have more surgery. 32 pounds in such a short time...Wow! Just Wow!

Thought I was starving when I got home tonight. I ended up having 3 pieces of fish and green beans. I normally am not a big fish eater, but it wasn't too bad. What I wanted was chicken strips from the deli at the W-Mart. Weekends I still eat whatever DH is having. Lots of times we go for supper/pizza. I am sure I would do better if I behaved on weekends too. I have quit buying bread, but still manage to have rolls (I make them when we have company--and I don't want to throw them away) and my DD made homemade whole grain bread!

We took a spin on the cycles Sunday. DH offered to let me try his '14 Ultra Classic Limited...I chickened out. If I scratched it he would cry! I want to take it for a test drive before vacation though. Soon...only 9 more weeks!

04-11-2014, 08:43 AM
Hey chicks :) Tammy I am so sorry to hear of the kidney stone, ugh sounds awful! But WOW on being down 32 pounds!!!

Dawn you have such a nice midriff! :)

Colleen, I'm glad you can behave during the week, that's something!

Hi to Reda :)

I am so discouraged, this is early spring when usually I am digging into the weight loss routine, but I have been actually bingeing which is an unusual thing for me, I am blaming it on the Rat ******* boss deal, he never owned responsibility for the issue with teh groping customer, and getting no satisfaction from the Civil Rights Unit. I wrote a succinct resignation letter but did not send it. This job, for the most part, suits my needs for the winter but I do need to step up and actively look for something else.

BUT only 3 more days and then I have almost 3 weeks off :carrot: then the nice summer job. Got alot of cleaning out projects for that time off. Maybe my mind will be off food then.

We still have thick ice in front of our garage, where the bikes are, and our driveway is a mud pit so we need to be patient for a bit.

I have found that being President of United Motorcyclists of Vermont mostly involved being on top of phone calls and emails, not too bad yet :D It is so easy to be a follower, takes a little more energy to be a leader, not sure if I like that, LOL.

04-11-2014, 07:42 PM
Hi Beautiful People!

It!s nice to read up on ur lives and it!s good to be back here.

I did a road trip to Az bike week. The friends who were going to come w/ couldn't get out of town and over the Sierras due to a giant storm. I snuck out in a one hour window of dry road opportunity. Since I've done thousands of miles alone, this was no biggie...a healthy two day ride down and back plus a week there...very sweet. Still living out of my packed up bike (Frank)

I weighed this am and my eyes bulged pound away from goal. Now to stay on track and never leave it agin. Wow Tammy...32 pounds!!! I'm wearingsize 10 or 12 jeans depending on cut. Got some hand me down miss mes size 30.

Spring has sprung...we all ride soon, right? Who is going to Sturgis?

04-13-2014, 06:27 PM
I say if weekends "off" the diet works for you (losing 10 a month) go for it! It sounds great.

Holly, I am glad you are getting to start your summer job soon and leaving the dreadful winter job. I know how taxing it is on you.

Sunster, CONGRATS on being so close to goal!!!! I admire your ability to travel alone.

So, I have a long drawn out story so I will try to keep it short..... I have not told many people.... and it is really bugging me. After we got back from Mexico... (2 days after) my DH who has been a cop for almost 24 years got DEMOTED!!!! He is 1 month and 1 year away from 25 years service (which is one tier of retirement) and they demoted him b/c the young guys on his shift with less than 10 years combined service "don't respect him".... well it turns out one of the younger guys has been given my husbands Lt bars, but it is not public yet. It just amazes me how crappy people are. I swear..... I hope one day karma pays this young punk back and he gets this back ten fold....... With the demotion they took my DH days off away. He has had weekends off for a very long time. Now he has to work Sundays..... So, he is trying to find another job b/c historically this department has done this to people and usually they will fire the older person. Arkansas is an "at will state".... so we have no help there...... anyway, I knew I could rant and vent with yall...... Thanks for listening..... it has been tough to watch him go through this betrayal. I think along with the kidney stone, history of WLS, and the stress.... I have been stuck at the same weight for a week. Now I am back to losing.... so maybe the rest of the weight will go with it.

I got to have solid foods this past Friday.... boy it is tough to eat the tiny amount I can..... but I am working on it. I don't want to "stretch" out my tiny tummy.... it cost me a lot.....and probably my DH even more than me.

I am going to get off here.... I will yell at you later. I am hoping to get my bike out next week......

04-13-2014, 09:16 PM
Hi Girls!!! Well I was looking back to see where I left off and I don't see my last post anywhere????

Sunster glad to hear you had a great time at AZ bike week! I am so jealous as I do not get any vacation this summer with starting new job I accrue vacation time but can't use till after my 6 months is up....WTG on reaching your goal, I am still just doing nothing, my own fault- I just don't understand why I can not get motivated!!! GRRRR

Tammy so sorry to hear about DH, that does suck and when he only had 1 year and 1 month till retirement- but it does happen around here as well- and SD is an At Will State as well. Glad to hear you are back on your losing streak but stress ya it doesn't help anything.

Holly that is great that you are done with the winter job onto some much needed time off then to the summer job! It probably is harder to find a job that will only want you to work during the winter time and no summers- but maybe your local school would be looking for kitchen help and that's usually only winter months but I think your summer job goes into the beginning school year....

Colleen WTG on sticking to your plan and making it work! DH now only has 570 miles on his new bike that we brought home on Dec 28th so not bad that we could put over 500 miles on through the winter :) I have taken it around the block but it sit's alittle taller than mine so I am not super comfortable on it. Where is your vacation taking you in I think it was 9 weeks?

oh ya my computer somehow logged me off my internet and do you think we had password anywhere of course not! So over the last week trying to figure it out with DH is always on his and not sharing I really haven't gotten on computer much but today I got it figured out so all is good again!

Well off to take a shower then watch some TV

04-14-2014, 06:38 PM
HI EVERYONE. (Ooops) Sounds like everyone is doing OK. Needing some motivation. I have been in a funk (kids related :( ) Yesterday I busted out bawling on & off all day. I'm trying to give everything time but its hard & hurts. I mind is just so mixed up that I am having hard with spelling, typing sometimes even speaking. Im shakey again. I just dont know what I should do. I had to start taking PM stuff again so I can sleep & pain relief stuff for my head. Im trying to stay upbeat & focus on my It Works business but its very hard when I got people asking about it but not buying.

04-14-2014, 10:09 PM
Depending on just how I stand on the scale, it varies 5 pounds! Tomorrow I have a doctor appt. Maybe I can tell which weight is my actual weight my comparing the numbers. I have had a cough for a couple of months that I just can't seem to shake. It was a rough night trying to sleep--time to get it checked out.

Holly, glad you have some time off. Enjoy! When you run out of stuff to clean, let me know...;)

Tammy, sorry to hear about DH job. That really sucks! Karma will come around. WooHoo for real food though!

Dawn, I hear ya about being in a funk! Last week I was just wiped out! I got nothing done except helping DS that had hurt his back. The wraps are a pretty new product for people. They will likely sell better after people hear some great reviews form other people.

Reda, LOL about the password. I have too many passwords for different things, and work too that makes us change the passwords regularly! Hard to remember them all!

Sunster, glad you got out during the break in bad weather to enjoy your trip! Congrats on your goal too.

Hi to SMeeker and Leatherman!

Today was a screwy day. I had hamburger for breakfast, cupcake treats at work, salad for lunch and leftover hamburger and taters for supper. I guess all okay except for the breakfast burger. My mom said she had chili for breakfast before!

Hope you all have a great week!

04-14-2014, 10:50 PM
Hey chicks!

Tammy - that BLOWS!!!   I am so sorry. Your DH must feel so betrayed by the 'brotherhood' . And so close to pension!! really sorry :( Congrats on being able to manage the tiny amounts of food, you big loser :D

We haven't got our bikes out yet either, the ice is finally gone (today) from the front of the garage, but our driveway is a mud pit.

Reda, oh passwords are a pain! sorry to hear you don't have vacation time like before..can you still do Sturgis the way you're used to?

Dawn, I am sorry you are having a tough time now

Colleen, you lost so well last year, we have faith in you! good luck with your doctor's appt tomorrow, I hope the cough can be gone!

Sunster, you are a traveling woman :D and CONGRATS on almost at goal! :cheer2:

I've been really blah and not much joy, mostly since the Rat B@stard/Groping Customer incident...but I am tons better today, as it was my first day of freedom!!!

called the State this morning and got on the unemployment roll, won't get a check until next Wednesday but my weekly amount is almost what I make working full time  how is that possible? but I sure won't ask them that :D I will have almost 3 weeks off. Now to pray for some dry and warm weather to dry out our driveway so I can get my bike out!

and MAYBE because I'm not surrounded by bakery/deli odors and not boiling with freakin rage by working side by side with the Rat B@stard, maybe I can focus on my goals!

04-17-2014, 09:50 PM
Hey, how is every one? Does anyone have nice weather yet??

well time off is good for me! Scale shows down 2 pounds. It's probably all water weight but it's going DOWN :cheer2:

However the weather has not improved nice day on Monday, but it snowed 2 nites ago and its not gone yet..driveway is still an awful mud pit also.

You know how in the past couple years I have tackled various horrible areas in/around our house :D last fall was part of the back porch, last year was the living room, before that was the hundreds of books from the upstairs shelves..this week or next, I am getting RID of the damned junked van that is in our driveway :(

it has been there for 3 years!! it takes up a parking space, it is an eyesore to me, we have to shovel around it...and for those 3 years DH just puts sh*t in there instead of properly taking care of sh*t. Well I am DONE with it!! There is a problem that the side door does NOT open anymore..and the back doors are the only way in is driver or passenger front door, but the seats don't move so I have to CLIMB in the back. I am flexible enough except when my knee hurts, I can do it but it's slow.

What's in there? Just in the 1 1/2 hours this afternoon (i quit before I got frustrated and angry) 2 hand held circular saws; a sander; full box of assorted tools; halloween decorations, a tent, a tent cover, fireworks, a full face helmet, one of DH's leather jackets that is covered with dried mud and mildewed; snow machine gloves (WE DON'T HAVE SNOW MACHINES) empty boxes, empty soda bottles, and this is just the front 2 seats and what I could reach behind. God! So a bunch of cardboard in recycling bin, 3 bags of trash, I brought the tools inside and stuck them on the back porch.

Tomorrow I will do more..I can see myself getting this done very quickly, and I will call the local scrap folks who have towed other dead cars away. It is good that in these days, now you get some money for a junked car, instead of having to pay! and because it's a 7 passenger van, its a heavy mutha and maybe a few more bucks.

I am very glad that I have been perfect on plan eating wise for 4 days, where I could not complete even one day a month ago. I don't even have a thought-out plan, but its definitely less calories, less bread/starch, more veggies, no nite time eating unless I 'saved' it from the day. And IGNORING DH when he has his nightly bowl of ice cream.

04-19-2014, 08:20 PM
Hey good for u Cupcake! One more day and the frikken easter candy will be gone....sheesh. Keep up the good work and soon a week is gone :)

Everyone hang in through a bit more of late winter...then, when u get on ur bikes you'll feel soooo much better!

04-19-2014, 08:51 PM
Well, I finally got to ride. It was beautiful today!!! And I think the sun did me great. This whole ordeal with DH job is sooooo taxing. But, I am trying to deal with it.

Holly, I am glad you are getting things cleaned. I know it is a chore physically and emotionally. And trust me, I know about DH's throwing stuff in a junk item. It stinks!

Reda, how is the new job? I feel ya on the vacation time. I ran a lot of mine out with the trip to Mexico.

Colleen, you seem to be doing great on the diet!!!

Sunster, I saw you in the lower 160s girl..... that is awesome!

We seem to all be struggling with exercise. I don't know why I cannot just get my butt up and do it..... but I just don't. I know my weight loss would speed up soooo much..... but I just cannot get off the keister.

I hope you all have a great Easter. :easter2::bunny2::bunny::bunny::easter::easter:

04-20-2014, 06:01 PM
Tammy I'm so glad you did get out for a ride! Just today, we pulled ours out of the garage. Mine started up with just a little help; DH's is taking longer to charge. I must be getting old, I didn't suit up for a ride :D because of DH's bike not being ready. She will wait for me :)

I have been being good with exercise! Only because I've had off from work..but this is what I've done for the past couple weeks -

April 8 - Jillian M's Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, 50 min.

04-20-2014, 11:09 PM
HI Girls - Happy Easter! I didn't realize it has been that long since I have been on. But I just haven't been on computer much at all. Been trying to get my bling stuff done at night after work. Fairing, horn and timing cover are finally done, just have fenders and lowers to get done now. So we had such nice weather today we got to go for a ride and didn't even need have to wear a jacket....

Holly you are rocking it- that is great! So you still have a week or two before going back to work?

Well I still have buckled down but am really thinking it is time. I defiantly need less breads and pasta, more fruit and veggies.

Well our Easter Day was suppose to be me cooking lunch, but DS1(who by the way raced Friday and Saturday night and won both nights) anyways his girlfriend got home from track last night then ended up going to the ER so she had surgery this morning at 8 to have her appendix taken out. So DS1 and granddaughter were hanging out at the hospital. DS2 decided he needed to be 30 miles away at lunchtime so all we had coming down was DS2 girlfriend (they are on the rocks right now) and his good friend coming down so I cancelled and told them I would make the ham Tuesday evening and they could all come and eat then, so that's why we decided to ride.

Tammy how are you doing and feeling? How is the solid food going?

Sunster you still doing the alternative IP? I am sure you are still rocking the eating healthy and maintaining as well.

Ok well it is just about time for bed so I better get off here. Have a great Monday!

04-22-2014, 10:59 AM
Hi Reda :D  we've been seeing you on FB at the races :D

Tried starting my bike, she is coughing and sputtering and stalls out when I try to move ahead in 1st. Son took a look at my air filter, that has been neglected so he looked up and recommended an air cleaner kit from K & N, I ordered it and shoud be here Wednesday. Our weather is taking a turn for the cold and wet (maybe snowflakes Wed. morning ugh) so I can be a little patient, it's not like its sunny and warm, lol.

I had a small binge last night, even embarrassed to say what it was, but it was probably 500 cals. and all sugar and fat. (think peanut butter and sugar!) all I can do is try to get back on teh wagon again, but that was the first refined/bad sugar in almost a week, which is huge for me.

04-23-2014, 09:52 PM
Reda, glad your DS won his races!!!!! Sorry DS1gfhad to have surgery. That stinks. Also it sux the other son and gf are on the rocks.

Holly, look at you kicking out the exercise!!! I really think your "bad eating" comes from sucky winter and winter job stress. But don't think you don't still look hot. That's good you are getting the bike ready for when it does finally get warm.

My eating is better. I think I have found my groove.... And it seems to be low carb. I can't hRdly tolerate bread..... Or any bread product. Moist meat and moist veggies are good. Fried/breaded food is hard on me. I have not tried sweets bc I am not craving them, so I don't want to start them. Also no chips.... I am just a little apprehensive if them.

So my DS2 got fired from his job. I thought he was gonna straighten up.... But I guess not now. Just makes me mad bc a lot of ppl stuck their neck out for him.

Well, I need to get ready for work tomorrow. Quick shout to Sunster and Colleen!!!!

Oh, I just have 53 pounds to go.... But I have to start exercising more.

04-24-2014, 06:17 PM
Oh, I just have 53 pounds to go.... But I have to start exercising more.

that is so great!!! :D :flow1: :dancer: :hyper:

and you are so right, my eating/self image/everything is affected by the sucky boss and wintertime.

I tried raking the yard today, was supposed to be 'sunny and 50' which sounds great but instead it was overcast, windy and 47...felt like November! me and the dog called it quits after an hour but I'm doing a little more each day.

Bless our older son!! (the one who lives here) he heard me saying that my bike was sputtering and stalling and he looked at the hypercharger..said it looked awfully dark and dirty. So he recommended the K & N air cleaner kit and did it for me, took it off, cleaned it, it's drying out now.

.I know nothing about routine maintenance, I'll pay someone to do that, then DH says he'll do it, and it doesn't get done..when I rode to my last oil change in November, the mechanic told me my tire pressure was dangerously low :?: the bike felt SO much better on the ride home. I would LOVE to have a patient person give me maintenance basics . Anyway, we're not even having riding weather so it's not like I'm freaking out over not being able to ride due to mechanical issues.

Think I'm down to 156-157, I will weigh tomorrow and see. My high was 162 in early March, that's what the doctor's office scale showed then that same day I weighed at home and our scale showed that also. From experience, I can have SO much 'wiggle room' it's nuts..when I am officially down 10 pounds that is when it seems 'real'. I am definitely eating alot less...eating better..and working out harder.

HI to everyone

04-28-2014, 11:41 AM
Just need to see if Tammy was affected by the awful storms :?:

04-29-2014, 10:38 PM
Hi Girls

How is everyone? Tammy were you guys hit with the storm- we were expected to get some storms but it passed us for the most part just been raining all day today though- but looking like sunshine for the weekend :)

Holly that is great that DS is helping you out with your bike- I have been battling with DH the last couple months with my mods until I blew up and said I will just start buying a new bike every 12-18 months like you do!!!! Well he's gotten my stuff done with a word this last week....

Work going good but still haven't gotten my butt in gear for eating or exercising- however I did spend like 2 hours on the IP alternative pages here on 3FC and I do believe I am going to give it a try- I need to change something and soon!!! Well I suppose I better get off here and get a few things done before bed time

05-01-2014, 09:53 PM
My body feels like the weather had been the last few weeks. Ucky! First Bronchitis, got the meds finished, but the cough still lingers. Now a nasty cold with runny nose that's stuffed up too! Not that it even seems possible--but that is what I have. A head full of yuck! Need to get over this by the weekend for babysitting the grandkids.

Took a day off work tomorrow to hit some sales with my Momma. We both like to do that. Neither of us ever find any real treasures, but enjoy each other's company anyway.

I was wondering about Tammy and the storms too. Wow--those were bad down South!

Reda, glad your bike is getting fixed up! And yours too Holly! No fun riding if it's spittin' and sputterin'!

Hi Sunster and Dawn.

Well, the Easter candy is gone. FINALLY! Now things can go back to normal! I still have bunches of it at work, but I limit myself to 1 or 2 bite size Snickers.

I am SOOOOO looking forward to riding bike to and from work! It's about a 50 minute drive each way. It would make it much more fun to have the cycle out! It's been so cold and rainy--haven't taken it to work yet! DH did get me the other 2 little "diamond" trim rings for the gas gauge and gas cap. I think I have every piece of ice diamonds that will fit my bike! If there is more--I will have them too!

I saw a neat Facebook post that I wanted to share with you all here on 3FC-- it said: " Don't dig your grave with your own fork and knife". It provoked some thought.

05-05-2014, 08:30 AM
Hey chicks!

Colleen, are you feeling any better? Oh isn't the 'stuffed up AND runny nose horrible! Do you have pics of your "diamond ice" on your bike? sounds beautiful.

Reda, so you are considering IP, with the alternative products?

Tammy, Dawn, Sunster, Hi!

So I'm down about 5 pounds, that same number has held on the scale for about 4 days so I guess it's solid. Now to keep going downward! I'm still fighting the nightly after-dinner grazing urges, and not always winning.

We attended a fundraiser for the Crossroads Motorcycle rally, that's the local one we go to (and I've won Miss Crossroads :D) on Saturday. OUr number held in there til the last 25, then got pulled. But I won a Biolage shampoo/conditioner set, value probably around $35; then our organization pooled for a ticket then that won a car washing kit, value $50, we will use that for a future raffle prize.

Our weather has SUCKED! Not even over 50; thick clouds, thick gray, rain and then just damp that doesnt' go away. May 5th and I've ridden my bike TWICE, that is the worst ever. Getting the yard work done is hard, for the few breaks in weather I do grab the rake and get out there. About half is done.

OK I will stop griping :D

I will start back at the Trout Club either Wednesday, or maybe Thursday, because if Wed. is nice I might take advantage of that!

05-05-2014, 08:58 PM
Hey guys sorry to worry you.... We are fine.. The storms hit about an hour south of us.... We were up all night watching the direction of them tho.

Weather has been fair.... My mood comes and goes. I just need to get out and ride I guess. I will chat more later... Gotta get work done

05-07-2014, 07:14 AM
Tammy - scary that the storms were that close but SO glad your area was OK :)

I decided to go back to work today, I've done enough around the house for a while, LOL.

yesterday we FINALLY had some sun, and high 50's. Today sun and low 60's yet it is 30 degrees and frosty windshields out there!

Tammy you and me both need 2 wheel wind therapy! and I'm sure everyone else here!

05-10-2014, 07:09 PM
Happy Early Mother's Day to you all!!!
My DS1 took me to see a "feel good movie", Moms night out.... it was funny. A good "clean" movie. It is very good for younger moms with young kiddos but for "us" with the empty nest as well.

I did get some 2 wheel therapy in..... it did feel good. I think I am going to start riding to work... well, unless I am "forced" into management, which is a possibility. I will just have to wait and see.

So, it appears with my surgery every 10 pounds I get "stuck" for a week. I just got out of being stuck..... I am down a total of 43 pounds since Feb 28. Of course, it is not enough for me. Lol. However, I have gone from VERY tight 20 to a loose 16..... I would like to settle at a 10.... but 12 would be ok too.

So, you girls that have been here for awhile, can you believe I have my FIFTH anniversary Tuesday? It seemed like not too long ago we were all talking about my ride to Vegas.

I hope everyone is doing good.

Holly, I saw you have been exercising... I am trying to get up as well. You deserve a carrot! :carrot::carrot:

I hope everyone else is doing really good. Thank goodness Spring is finally here!!!!

05-10-2014, 08:18 PM
Hi Tammy! and everyone else, Happy Mother's Day to all (who apply :D) Glad you had a nice time at the movie! and congrats on 43 down in 3 months!! Loose 16 is awesome! bet the 14's are about to happen .

Thanks for the exercise carrot I missed 2 days but will get to do something tomorrow, having off all day. Going back to work has messed up my exercise routine!! I'm gonna have to get up at 5 and do it right away. But its light out at 5 am now so i should ("should"!) be able to do it.

We had a nice ride today, rode about 40 miles to a friend's b-day party, and it was a gorgeous day!! finally! 70's and sun, some little clouds here and there, but a warm breeze and OH my gosh was it nice

DH needs a new seat on his bike, I told him 'life is short, just order it' :D and I am wishing though that I had an extra $12,000 lying around, because a local bike builder/mechanic is selling his wife's bike, it is a Fat Boy but he modified it and it was her Fat Girl :D I haven't seen pics but I bet it is nice, it just has 900 miles on it. She used to ride, had a bad scare once, tried to get back into riding, but just lost the love. .I have always liked the cast wheels of a Fat Boy and it was my fantasy sexy bike as Arnold S. rode it in Terminator 2 one-handed pumping that shotgun

The Club opens on Wednesday and I have been in each day, not full days but about 6 hours a day, prepping and baking. Once I am there Wednesday, you probably won't hear from me, because I'll be working in the dining room at night also, for the next 3 days, and spending the nights there. Money, money :D

05-12-2014, 02:09 PM
HI girls- Happy Mother's Day! We got to ride on Saturday all day, it was our Spring Poker Run and starting out cloudy and sprinkling but ended up sunny and 78 but we only had 25 riders.

So I did start the IP alternative today- and I do have to say that I had my shake this morning and because I had to take an early lunch not at all hungry yet so I will take my shake salad back to work with me shortly. I will keep everyone informed in how it is going, but seems pretty easy to follow along. I have not started exercising one bit yet though :(
Ok well back to work- I will check back in later

05-14-2014, 07:24 AM
Hi REda, glad you got to ride alot! :) and congrats on starting IP. Glad you're not hungry!

Today, when I leave for work, I bring my overnight bag, because I'll be staying there for the next 4 days! today is Opening Day and I am ready:D I hope I don't regret signing up for the dining room each night but I want the money :D Internet is spotty there so you might not hear from me, but I'll be okay . As I won't be going anywhere , I'll bringing the cage. Talk to you in a couple days!

05-15-2014, 11:09 PM
Yep Holly I would be thinking of the money too!!! Hope it goes well.

Whoo hoo Tammy over 40 pounds in 3 months that is awesome, I am sure still a struggle for you as well but you are rocking it so keep it up!

Well trying to get our plans all figured out for next weekend as we are supposed to be riding to Canada for the weekend, never been so what the heck and we already have our passports.

So I blew it today really bad - but the last 3 days I was on track and stayed that way- I even started going to the gym on Tuesday but missed Wednesday but back again today :) So I guess I messed up eating today but I did make it to the gym!

Well I am just beat and I am going to bed even though it's only 9:10

Have a great night

05-16-2014, 06:29 PM
Sorry been MIA so much. My It Works may actually be taking off. I have an event next weekend, June 7th I have another to benefit the Dubuque Humane Society then I just signed up for another the end of June. I've been using more of the product then I have been selling but its Ok cuz I feel better & the fact that when people ask I can tell them my experience. This last week we went to Niagara Falls & got married. My family surprised me by coming. It was a perfect day. Heres some pictures. If anyone goes to the falls go to the Canada side. So much better over on that side! pg pg?oh=86a0321887709b0bf401d10afe267464&oe=53F9693A&__gda__=1410045500_2c18effddd8e6cdd1145ef1e5023be4 5 pg pg pg

Dawn - CONGRATS!! I  your dress!!! so beautiful! and you are so trim!

05-23-2014, 07:11 AM
more rain here, I've been OFF my bike so much more than ON so far this season, not kewl! oh well I will make up for lost time when I can.

I got an unexpected $1/hour raise at my summer job! :carrot:

Been trying VERY hard to try to get used to that 'hungry' or 'empty' feeling in y stomach, that before, I would immediately try to solve with some kind of food. Trying so hard to just eat so very lightly, like a bird, not like a vulture, lol. My exercise has slacked WAY off with my change of schedule, that is a real challenge, but i need to remember that i am losing most of my pounds with controlled diet not the working out. The working out is just adding some muscle tone.

hope everyone is good, and that you're riding more than me. :D

05-23-2014, 10:53 AM
Thank you Holly. It was a great day. I felt like a Princess & we had people stopping us asking to get a picture taken with them. I used my It Works wraps & defining gel to help tighten up my problem areas.

I have about the next 2 months worth of weekends almost booked for events. I cant wait. I made a wrap shack for them if I have space permitting. I think if I can get people to try one on the spot it will help me tremendously.

I'm going to see about maybe finding a part time job again. Last night my BIL got so drunk he silt a glass of tea all over DH computer. :( I'll be surprised if it still works. We are letting it dry out for a few days but have a feeling we need to buy another. Due to the spill yesterday I now have to move furnacher & mop the entire floor - atleast its wood floor & not carpet. My feet are sticking to the floors this morning.

I havent had my bike out at all yet this year. I am afraid to ride it with my neck & shoulder the way it has been. I have a hard time turning my head to see when I am driving at times. I dont want to take the chance on the bike. I did finaly get an xray done & have an MRI scheduled this next week. I hope it shows something just so I dont feel like its all in my head.

05-25-2014, 06:20 AM
Dawn, sorry to hear of the sugary spill on the computer! ugh. Hope it's OK. Congrats on your success on so many future bookings! and sorry to hear your neck pain prevents you from being on the bike but I guess that is wise.

I studied radar maps carefully yesterday morning and determined I could dodge the showers if I rode to work..and I did! it poured once I got to work, many intervals, but I was able to leave in sunshine, before the next shower. Yay me :D

I had to be direct (b*tchy) to the new guy at work, he did something again I had nicely asked him not to do, which affects my job. Maybe he will remember now! My chef boss was right there, heard it, and did not correct me so I now I was right :carrot:

gonna ride to work agian today, yay!

05-25-2014, 01:24 PM
Dawn, congrats! The pic are great.

Holly, sorry you had to deal with the new guy.... but you know, he needs to know his role and also needs to listen to people who have been there.

I have ridden a couple times.... not too many.

My DH did not get the college police job he applied for... boooooo. BUT, he is now thinking about doing the surgery in Mexico.... so right now that would be best....

05-27-2014, 07:06 PM
Hi all.

Lots of riding here. Over 1000 miles on my bike and more on DH's. :D

Dawn, :congrat: You and the location look beautiful! I have a friend selling the It Works products too. Sounds like you are having better luck than she is!

Holly, so happy for you and your summer job with the raise! WooHoo! Glad for the good luck riding to work w/o getting rained on too!

Wow, Tammy, you are doing great with the weight loss! I have been sick so bad with bronchitis that I just gave it all up until I feel good again. I have gone through 3 courses of antibiotics. Somethin' has got to give! :?:

Reda, you are sounding busy too. Good luck on the IP alternative plan. Let us know how it goes.

We went camping this past weekend. I took the truck and trailer and DH came when he could with the cycle. Didn't go with anyone else, but had another couple come to the campsite for supper 1 night. Had fun. Got to ride a little too.

Motorcycle vacation in SD and CO is coming up soon. I think we are more excited for this trip than we have been for our Mexico trips. It's going to be a lot of miles on a bike though!! :jig:

05-27-2014, 07:35 PM
Colleen, dayum, 1000 miles already!?! I am happily jealous  We just have SO much rain for weeks, and before that, 40's. Very sorry about the persistant bronchitis!

Today was much better weather-wise, it started out wet but dried out, so I worked out inside; and finished mowing the side lawn, weed whacked and it looks so nice..for a day or two  with all the moisture we get, the grass (and weeds) grow like crazy. I just about scalped the lawn a week ago because I had the blade set too low; darn lawn is fully recovered in a week, LOL.

I came up with a plan I hope, to help keep my bike clean. Our bikes live in the driveway, under a canopy. They are protected from falling rain, but if it rains hard, then the soil/sand from the driveway bounces up and the lower level of my bike is always so dirty, gritty and sandy from that! So I found some tarp that wasn't being used, and after covering my bike with her blankie :D I put the tarps down on the ground, right up close to her, on both sides, and weighed them down. I'll let you know if my brainchild works :p

Oh i am so envious of long motorcycle trips! :( We haven't been on one for years. DH just can't get the time from work; it would be difficult for me also but it could be done.

05-30-2014, 08:10 AM
Quick post to my biker pals..... Y'all. Are the first friends for me to tell..... I made it to onederland!!!!!!!!! I am 12 weeks post op today!!!!!! I am 50 pounds down,:carrot::carrot::carrot: thanks for listening-- I am off to work

06-01-2014, 03:56 PM
Hi Girls- been really busy decided to shingle the house and started on it this week - we took our measurements to Menards and of course we must have been off somewhere because we are about 2 bundles short - dang it.
We have been getting to ride quite abit - since we bought Todd's new bike the end of December he now had about 1800 miles on it- so not bad for mostly winter months :)

Dawn love the pics and that dress how beautiful :) sorry to hear about the computer though and the sticky mess.

Colleen your trip sounds awesome, our next trip till possibly - yep I said possilbly BBBQ but last night we talked about maybe do an all-incluvise trip in September instead, going to check it out this week.

Holly glad you are getting to ride some, and hopefully your tarp will pan out, if not maybe you could find a piece of plywood that you could park your bike on that way nothing will splash up when it rains....

Tammy WTG on the onderland- well I was giving the IP alternative a try but just not having any luck with it either I think mostly because we were on vacation for memorial then this week we were roofing and I was cooking for like 8 people so needless to say we had pizza 2 nights and brats with chips one night and today hamburgers and chips. I do know I need to figure something out I am at 200 and this is not good ...

Well I suppose I better get off here and get some things done around the house

Have a great week

06-02-2014, 08:10 AM
just a quick HI, spent most of the day on our bikes yesterday, 220+ miles and sooo beautiful!

06-03-2014, 07:56 PM
Quick post to my biker pals..... Y'all. Are the first friends for me to tell..... I made it to onederland!!!!!!!!! I am 12 weeks post op today!!!!!! I am 50 pounds down,:carrot::carrot::carrot: thanks for listening-- I am off to work

I am sorry I did not catch this right away!! CONGRATULATIONS! :cheer2: :bravo::dance::dancer::flow1::high::cloud9: wow that was fun using all those congratulatory smilies for you!!

sorry to hear your DH did not get the college police job he wanted, I must say even not knowing the first thing about Law Enforcement, that particular position must be good. Has he come to a decision about the operation in Mexico?

HI Reda, Dawn, Colleen and Aaron :carrot:

my tarp has been keeping my bike cleaner

Got my bike inspected yesterday, was thinking she needed brakes, nope! and I will need tires, but not for maybe a month so I pre-ordered. The front one is reasonably priced, the rear is not

Got alot of annuals planted today and bought some different kinds of mint and planted them.

have a good night!

06-05-2014, 08:43 AM
Reda, house projects stink!!!!! Lol. Are you still liking your "new" job?

Colleen, I sure hope you get better.... Seems like those bronchitis illness take forever to get over.... A girl in my office is going on 6 weeks of it. But at least you are able to do some things.

Holly, glad you are getting to ride some. And you have a resolution for keeping the bike clean. Doesn't it feel good when u don't need to spend the amount of $ you thought u would? It's almost like finding $... Lol
Thanks for the congrats. I am trying to stick to plan.... I still haven't eaten any junk food. I am gonna splurge (maybe) on my bday next month.
DHhas decided (I think) not to go to Mexico for surgery right now.... Just too many uncertainties.... And honestly I am not sure he is ready-- heck I prolly wasn't ready... Lol. It's big mind game when u WANT all of said meal but can only eat a couple ounces!!!!! I can eat 1/4 of a chicken breast or 1 leg w no skin and a tbs of potatoes or veggie...... More than that I get "warning" hiccups..... Then the food comes up..... So no matter how much u want the food--- you just can't eat it.... And I don't know if he is ready for that. But time will tell..... And life hopefully will "normalize" soon.....

Well I have to get to work. Will gab more later.... Happy and safe riding!!!!!

06-06-2014, 12:20 AM
Congratulations on the 1 way trip to Onederland Tammy! Jealous here! I'm back up quite a bit. I am feeling better. Still a cough with garbage, but not such a chronic and embarrassing cough.

Today I wore new jeans to work. One of the customers asked me if I just got some new jeans. Thinking it was a compliment, I said "yes I did, I thought I could get a new pair for our upcoming vacation". Her reply was "you have a bunch of stickers on the back pocket and leg!!" I was glad that she told me but I walked around all morning with those on!!!:o

Reda, what/where is BBBQ? Any vacation is better than no vacation! I am so thankful that we have been able to go on several. Many of our friends/family roll eyes at us. I think that we better do these things while we can. That getting old stuff isn't very friendly on either of our families!!

Holly, sounds like you have been busy. Gardening is not for me, but DH insists we have many planters full of annual flowers. I finally convinced him last year to give up on planting a garden. I hate messing with it, and he is gone all week. In the past it has turned into a tomato producing weed patch! His latest project is an all out WAR with a gopher!! I'm pretty sure the gopher is still winning! I'm not very happy with the little bugger either. He keeps digging up sand from under the cement pad of our lawn shed. He's made a huge mess!!

Dawn, have you had anyone try the hair and nails product from It Works? The gal I work with was telling me about the wraps. She brought one into work to show me. I was expecting something about the size of a bath towel that would wrap around someones hips or belly. Nope--just a little thing. Seems like my idea would be a better--maybe not cost effective, but more useful! Cause if a little wrap works, imagine what a big wrap could do!!

Hope this note finds you all well, and with good riding weather! Enjoy!

My cousin uses the hair skin nails (HSN) My DH is to be taking them too to help with a nail that keeps splitting down the middle. He keeps forgetting to take it but manages about 3 times a week to remember. The 1st week he did take it every day & I did notice his hair cuz before he started I buzzed him & after the week I looked at him thinking I need to buzz him again.

This is a picture of a team member of a distributor I know on FB.
This one is my cousin

I used the wraps before getting married. They are perfect for after you have lost weight & need to "tighten, tone, firm" It also helps with stretch marks & the scar I had on my belly. In order to hold it place you want to wrap Saran Wrap around yourself. Contact me on FB if you want to know more info.

I never did get my MRI done. Medical Assoiciates here in Dubuque sucks. They had called to tell me to go to billing 1st. Ok I figured I was on a payment plan & last time I asked the lady said she didnt see that I owed anything so I thought it was cuz I didnt make payment like agreed on. Wrong they wanted me to pay $237 for my part of the MRI. They figured that is what the insurance would not pay. Needless to say we couldnt just write out a check for that much & would not let us do a payment plan thing for it like I had done before. Next week DH has a 2nd interview in Pella IA. We are hoping they offer him a job (which will pay much more) then maybe I can find a decent Dr who will do the MRI without jumping threw hoops like I do here.

I have thought about getting the bike out but each time I chicken out due to my shoulder. My DH is studying for the motorcycle test then atleast 1 of will be riding it. We're also trying to find him his own so that when I can ride we can ride together.

06-07-2014, 11:41 AM
Just real quick today- Hi Girls!

Still real busy - and today I have heading out of town again shortly shopping with my sister - so with that I need to get off here

06-07-2014, 09:04 PM
Colleen, Lol... you are so funny..... but I think DH has you topped on the tag. He interviewed for a job with the sticker on his pants. Then he came and got me for lunch.... I told him he could never go on another interview without me dressing him. Lol.
Girl, it is hard to worry about weight loss when you are sick. Don't be jealous... you will get back on track. You were doing good at 10 pounds a month. Ya just got to get rid of that junk.

Holly, I am glad you are getting to ride!!! And isn't it awesome to keep your bike clean. Lol.

Reda, you stay sooooo busy it makes me tired. Lol.

We went kayaking today.... 45 minutes around the lake.... but what I did not calculate was 45 minutes back to the house..... it was quite the workout.... but my flabby arms need it-- sooo bad. On the way almost to our boat dock I looked down and there was a HUGE snake under the water..... I was trying not to freak and just get away from it..... but my DH was right behind me and whacked it..... I HATE those things..... not that too many people like them. lol.

We have had horrible storms.... so no riding. It is supposed to storm off and on all weekend. We had damage on our old house (the rent house) our neighbors tree fell through our fence. But, they are fixing it. And also a little damage to my mother in laws old house that DS2 is living in..... but I am thinking I am going to have him repair the minor damage.... they are living there rent free..... so it won't kill him.

Well, I am getting ready to get off here......

Will gab more later.

06-07-2014, 10:00 PM
Hi girls! (and Aaron if you're lurking :D )

Tammy, that is incredible about the tiny amounts of food you can only handle, wow!

UGH and eek about the huge snake!! Kayaking is a hard workout, cardio and muscles.

Hi Reda

Colleen, lol at the stickers/tags!! on the back of the thigh, right? I've come close to going out with those on .

We, in this small town, are so happy that FINALLY the main road is going to be repaved, it is in horrible condition; cracks, heaves, etc. Not just terrible for motorcycles, for 4 wheels also. it is almost FIVE MILES
of scarified pavement, 'rough road' warnings, uneven lanes..I lose about 6 months' of life expectancy with every trip  And I have been wearing chaps even on warm days because I fully expect to fall over each day.

I can NOT go over 25 mph even on the relatively unhazardous parts (where it is "just" scarified) and the places where the pavement is broken, uneven, gravel sprinkled throughout; then I have to slow down to a crawl. i regularly have a line of impatient cars behind me...kinda awful :?: On Friday I actually went 11 miles out of my way to avoid it. Then I got rained on, LOL.

Some cars that are behind me, when they see me struggling, do drop back, gods bless them. Others are right-the-**** behind me. I don't even try to pull over to let them pass because sometimes there are extra horrible holes to the right.

I might just do the avoidance thing tomorrow, and go a total of 22 miles out of my way to avoid.

There is one good thing about this repaving though..I took a bucket and made trips across the road, to fill my bucket with the broken-up pavement pieces, then ran down my driveway, dumped the bucket into the holes/ruts we have in our unpaved driveway, back up the drive, wait for no cars, run across the road and got another bucketfull..filled up all the holes and ruts in the driveway. I think I paid for the pavement with my taxes :D

06-09-2014, 09:39 PM
Holly, I am glad you made it through Ok. I hate it when people are so impatient when they have no business traveling fast on broken roads either..... but I am glad you made it. It sounds tough. I am not sure if they do it there..... but I HATE it when they put that little tiny white "gravel" down for high traffic areas to pack down instead of repaving.... it is HORRIBLE to ride a bike on. You fishtail like crazy!!!!

But, hey, I think all the crap you put up with on your way down that road pays for the gravel you jacked. Lol.

06-10-2014, 07:33 PM
But, hey, I think all the crap you put up with on your way down that road pays for the gravel you jacked. Lol.

I put on my big girl panties this morning :D and tackled that darn road, made it down, then made it fine on the way home :) Only difference maybe is that the cars behind me gave me space, bless them, and maybe I'm getting somewhat used to the terror

06-16-2014, 08:34 PM
Hi Girls!!!

Well I am finding now that I am on the computer a lot during the day that I don't get on much when I get home- well fallen off the wagon bad- not doing anything, eating right, exercising go figure! You would think with summer I would be motivated but nope not one single bit :(

Holly glad to hear you are getting to ride, at least some. We were going for ride on Saturday I had absolutely no front brake, hubby is pretty sure when when they changed the tire that the rotor may have gotten bent alittle, so ordered new rotors last night.

We have been having severe weather today but Pilger, NE about 70 miles from us got hit with 2 tornado's and it doesn't sound good but as of now only 1 confirmed death but they are still trying to get through a lot of rubble and debris. I hate this kind of weather but it is so unpredictable....

06-20-2014, 09:55 AM
So sorry for the weather. I didn't realize it was so close to you!!!! I do admire the strength and attitude of that little town (what I saw on TV).
As for the not being on program it is sooooo hard!!!!! But you know -- we need to live life healthy--- but life is so much more than counting every calorie!!!!! If that makes sense at all. I think surgery has put that in perspective for me. I was so focused on calories and worrying so much over it-- I forgot to live life. I am trying to do better at that now. I am not perfect-- but better.

How is your grand baby??

Colleen how are you and the crew?? Are u over your crud yet?

Holly-- are you still rebuilding your driveway? :sssh::sssh: lol. How is the summer job going?

So, I am thinking of shifting gears career wise. I am going to do the same thing but possibly at home. I think it's time for a change. With age I am so over the office drama!!!! I am just in the beginning stages of planning..... But it's looking possible.

I am gonna get busy now..... Gab more later.

06-22-2014, 01:24 PM
Hi girls- just thought I would stop in for a quick Hello!

Colleen seeing pictures of your motorcycle trip look awesome- we are heading out to Deadwood over the fourth but I am riding with DH its just a quick 4 day trip and trying to be more economical about it so leaving my bike home will help with that.

Thanks Tammy for words of encouragement- kudos to you for sticking with your plan and I see just about 60 down with only 30 to go- Yippeee you go girl.

Holly how are things going with summer job this year? Are you getting to go to Chili this year? Haven't been on the other website for quite some time I bet over a year :(

Well I suppose I should get off here and get to work

06-23-2014, 12:20 PM
So jealous. I havent had the bike out yet this year. With my neck & shoulder they way they feel & the weather its hasnt worked out very well. I am doing pretty good with maintaining. But then all I have to do is think about how I feel if I eat too much of the wrong stuff is enough to keep me inline, Plus my Greens help to keep my blood level where they need to be. I do spurge a couple times a week. Small ice cream or chocolate pudding with oreos. Cant cut out all the bad stuff :) Ive been going fluxuating from 126 - 130 I am happy with that. As long as I can still fit into what used to be my work clothes (size2-4) I am happy.

Things have been tight this last month & I am looking for another job since my It Works isnt taking off very quickly here in Dbq. Bills have been getting paid so that is good. DH wishes that I didnt have to look he is old school & would like to be able to provide for everything but hard to do when we help our kids too when they need it. Yesterday I had an event & did very good. I was able to buy groceries that we needed with the $$ that I made from it. I am so hoping that is a sign that things will be changing.I have another event this coming weekend too. Hopefully it will go over well too.

07-05-2014, 06:33 PM
Happy Belated 4th of July. I hope everyone had a fun and safe day.

My day was pretty uneventful. My DH hurt his knee at work pretty bad a couple weeks ago so we are pretty much home bound.... and that means NO riding. "we" are probably done riding for the year. I feel bad taking mine out and him not going. But, we will see..... He is waiting for the orthopedic surgeon to call for an appt. He ripped his ACL and meniscus.

So..... I met my bday goal 6 days early..... I am going to toot my own horn.... or wiggle the carrot for me! :carrot::cool::cool: I have about 20-25 pounds to go. I am already getting the "you need to stop losing" speech from people. I am not even as low as I was before..... but I am going for the gold this time...... I paid a lot of $ for it. Lol. I am still having issues with all kinds of bread. But, it is not too bad. I just make some sort of substitution. We are eating a lot of veggies now b/c I am obsessed with the Farmer's Market. Lol. I did not buy bread for DH this time though b/c he has gained 35 pounds since MY surgery.

I have been kayaking like a fool for exercise. I normally go 45-60 minutes.... every other day for arm work out. I do think I am going to get a treadmill (like my millionth one) and put it on my back deck facing the lake so I can run again. I need to do something for endurance..... but I really don't want to do bootcamp again.... why you ask? Just b/c I don't want to be jumping around anymore..... I just don't. no other reason. I did do Leslie Sansone but for some reason they are a struggle for me to do-- like I just don't want to.... they don't keep my attention anymore. So, even though I am not an avid runner..... and I am really not crazy about it.... I know it works.

There is a chance I maybe changing jobs.... not really sure. Possibly a work at home job..... we will just see how it works out.

I hope everyone is well!!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend. Good job Tammie!

I ran out of greens yesterday & woke up with a sore throat this morning. Hope it goes away as fast as it came on. I still havent gotten the bike out. Everytime its nice out I'm still a bit too sore to try it. DH & I are talking about getting a trike so we can ride together & not have to worry about it being to hard on me. Only thing with that is they are not cheap & we cant afford 1 at the moment. I also picked up another business the last 2 weeks. Jewelery in Candles. I saw it & fell in love with the idea. Its alot cheaper & easier then the IT Works. Im sticking with It Works but will considerate on JIC We both think that will go much better here in Dbq. Ive been holding steady weight wise so thats good. DS has moved to NC with my folks. Hopefully they can help him get back on track & not have so much drama that was here in Dbq.

WTG Tammy you are doing an awesome job, good luck with the job change and hope that it goes your way :) That just plain sucks that you won't get much riding in this year, but maybe (hopefully) all goes well with DH and you will get to ride some before the end of the year!

Dawn good luck with the Jewelry and Candle business, trikes are nice but yes they are very expensive no matter the brand of bike it is....

Holly hope all is well, see you have your toy run coming up real soon or maybe it was this past weekend..

Well we have made it to hump day! It is really busy at work right now because we are down 2 people and I am doing their jobs right now plus mine so OT I am getting and that is just fine with me :)

Well have a great night and weekend!

07-09-2014, 10:35 PM
Lol.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: YAY YOU!!! that is SO great!! :D but so sorry about your DH's knee, and that it might mean you are done riding for the season? :?: I sure hope that changes.

Hi Dawn, Hi Reda!

Having a good time with the summer job :) tomorrow I"m putting together a 'thought of it myself' recipe - a key lime mousse cake, drool.

Reda , this weekend is our local little biker bash, the Bear Bones Bash, I'm not as buff as I usually am so i'm not gonna focus on showing off my midriff as I usually do :( just gonna kick back, drink and enjoy time with friends!

*Almost* lost control of my bike twice on the way home, due to the awful road conditions. Sent a restrained but angry email to the dept of transp. about how motorcycles deserve safety too!! (and signed it "President, United Motorcyclists of Vermont", yeah baby! )

Taking a break from cleaning. BILs kids are coming to pick him up Friday night. Got get some of this dust & fur swept up. We are back to the windows being open again. Love it! I havent had a job outside the home since April & Ive been maintaining so Im happy about that.My launch party for JIC is this Sunday threw Tuesday. Its open to anyone who wants to check it on FB Jewelry in Candles_Dawn People are way less skeptical of it then It Works. Still doing It Works & I also have to start looking for a job outside the home to pay off some bills. Well I guess I better get more stuff done. Even though I dont work outside the home I still stay pretty busy. Enjoy the nice weather!

Hi Beautiful People!!
R U ready to spank me? Sorry I haven't been on....but....I have thought of you all very very often....does that count?!
So, I retired....had a BIG bash of a party....and then went to SanFrancisco Chinatown to celebrate. Then rode Frank up thru Portland, Seattle and on to Chilliwack, Canada, Vancouver, Victoria and back down to norcal. Only ran in to rain for about 2 was bad, but i rode out of it 2 hours later.
This wed I'm leaving 4am and hope to be around Barstow area by noon. Same next day to Holbrook Az, then on to Santa Fe. So I'm ridiing into 108 degree temps and the southwest monsoon season....yikes! Sturgis via SLCity on aug 1st. anyone going this year? Reda, pretty sure you're not, but maybe? And hey gurlz....don't forget the Biker Belles ride/fundraiser. It aug 4, i think.
Wowie Tammy...Bravo! Sounds like you're very active now! I love kayaking! And have you tried Zumba?

07-14-2014, 07:47 AM
Sunster - Hi!! of course thinking of us counts :) Wow girl you RIDE!! and you are fearless!!!

07-14-2014, 07:51 AM
Oh yeah. Been riding alot because my darn car is STILL not repaired due to the collision from freakin May 28th. It now has an expired June inspection sticker. I have been thinking of making a voodoo doll in the image of the man who caused me this total aggravation  So not fair that it was 100% his fault but I am the one dealing with troubles caused by him. Boooooo

07-15-2014, 04:10 PM
The house sure is different when its just me & the animals here during the day. Dogs are enough to drive me batty! Today it was so cool out this morning that I shut the down stairs windows & lit the fire place up again :) I love to sit & watch it. Its also very calming & relaxing. Tomorow I have an interview. DH is sad that I feel the need to get a job out side the home. He is old school & thinks he should be able to handle everything. I told him I dont have a problem working. I need to contribute too. All though I have gotten used to doing my own thing during the day.

Still havent gotten bike out. I have started it up & sat on it for a bit :( Neck & shoulders still a bit sore. I keep thinking about biting the bullet & just going out! I want to so bad & deal with the pain later (nothing new there) My friend has his bike running again so I could call him up that way he's around incase anything did happen.

My JIC Launch party is going good. Having a blast with it. Meeting new people along with it. People are so much more open to it then the It Works. It ends tonite which is probably a good thing cuz I'm running out of my samples. Hoping I some left to use myself. I have Baby Powder in the warmer now (3rd Day) & oh how I love the smell of it. It makes the place smell clean. Yep I keep finding stuff to spend our $ on that we need to use to pay bills. Oh well gotta have fun, only live once.

I still have the throat thing going on just not as bad. I can talk again but its still scratchy. I have been drinking a lil bit of Whiskey each nite for the last 3 nights. I had gone 2 nites with out it & lost my voice again so I figured if it works go for it! Plus I want to make sure I have a voice for my interview tomorow. I've also dbled my greens the last few days trying to help knock it out of me. Well anyway hope everyone enjoys their day/week. Hope you all stay on track! Im doing Chinese tonite so not too bad but not the best either.

07-21-2014, 07:39 PM
Hi girls,

Holly that does suck when an accident happens and its not your fault but you have to deal with the aftermath of it all....

Sunster so glad to hear from you, and as for Sturgis well I might be able to make it out the first weekend Aug 1st and will need to come home on the 4th so not sure that we will come out, I say yes and DH says we should say it all for Sept BBBBQ.

Dawn how did your interview go? Have you been offered the job and if so where at? If not good luck in the search, something will come up.

Hi Tammy hope all is well

07-26-2014, 07:48 PM
Hey all. Sorry it's been so long. Life just gets busy sometimes. So I got a new job .. I will be working in Memphis, which is 65 miles away- but the $ is better and the drive is only 15 minutes longer. I hated to leave UAMS bc the benefits were so good..., but the stress and risk of staying we're not worth it. I will be working for a division of LeBonheur a top children's hospital. I start Monday. My weight is still going down-- it's slower now,but tHats ok.

Holly, how are you?
Reda, are y'all still planning on coming to Bikers,Blues, and BBQ?
Sunster, I admire your ability to just ride!!!!

07-28-2014, 04:30 PM
Hello everyone. Well DH & I are talking of selling bike :( I cant ride it with the way my neck & shoulders are & he hasnt had time to go get his motorcycle permit/license plus we could use the $$. A friend of mine told us that his Uncle makes trikes & bare Min runs around $4000. So we will do that when we get the $$. I did start a new job. Its an ongoing Temp job but I choose what days just have to commit to 8 hours. Its easy work but hard on the body. Im on my feet twisting turning stooping all day long. Last week I came home exhausted. DH hates it. He hates how I feel I need to work & that we made a booboo in the account & it got to this. Hes ok if he thinks I did it cuz I want to work & to pass the time but also hates it cuz I come home sore & bruised up. I bruise easily most of them I have no idea what I did to get them.

He likes my new business. I've been doing much better with it & am currently working on hosting an event on FB that is now over 40 business reps. If it goes over well we will have another before Christmas. I was shocked at how many people wanted to be a part of it. It went from being a thought to having 20 people joining it in 2 days & now up to 40. Ive seen other people do simular things but they wanted people to pay to be a part of it. I figured why pay? If everyone shares & invites their friend & posts in other groups it should get a lot of customers. I just hope it works out like that.

Oh I also found out from working that I need a belt to hold my pants up :) Nice to know that I have not gained to where they are to tight or anything like that.

08-05-2014, 10:49 AM
I thought I would share some photos with you all. I love being able to see the progress threw the years. Sad thing is usualy when people loose weight they dont seem to hurt like they used too, not me I it seems like no matter what I do I still hurt. Some days are better then others but just so frustrating! Hope you all are doing good. And have a chance to ride! I think I will be selling my bike :( DH & I are talking about a trike so then maybe it wont be such an issue for me. Sad cuz I remember what I went threw with EX to get it.

This was 2009

Hi girls, well we thought we weren't going to make it to Sturgis this year but we did we took off on Friday and came home on Monday of last weekend :) Glad we went it was so nice, Tuesday they started getting rain and last a few days.

Dawn sad to hear you might be selling your bike, but hopefully you can get a trike soon and you will enjoy that just as much as you did with your bike. Glad to hear your jewelry and candle business is going good.

Holly I see your toys for tots had a great turn out! Its always nice to get the community envolvement :)

Tammy yes we are still coming to BBBQ but we are going to stay in Branson but come to AR to do the riding (no helmet law) and Fayetteville is only 80 miles not sure what rides we are doing on what days but we will roll into Branson on the 24th then ride on the 25th, 26,th and 27th and come home on the 28th. So ready for some vacation time! I will keep you more informed.

Well kept the granddaughter overnight last night she is getting so big.

Oh and I got news from our youngest - his girlfriend is expecting in March, doesn't seem that those 2 are getting along so I guess we will see how it goes!

Well better get off here, Sunday Funday :)

08-27-2014, 11:54 AM
Everyone must be pretty busy. Been quite on here lately. DH has been offered a job in NC. He starts Sep15 BIL & I will be stay here till our lease is up the end of Oct. They will be paying for our relocation which is nice.

08-27-2014, 09:22 PM
Yes it has been very quite.....

Congrats on DH getting a new job- that is going to be a big move and quite the distance. But warmer weather and less to no snow!!!!

How's everyone else doing?

Not much here just hanging out working and keeping Karly a couple nights a week and then at least one day during the weekend. I guess she thinks she needs to go outside so off we go

08-29-2014, 08:34 PM
Congrats Dawn on your DH job. Hope it gets y'all out of the slump.

Reda, you and Carly sound like buddies-- I bet she has a blast w you.

Well I took a Jon in Memphis-- and waded off knee deep in overtime. It's a long story but a group of doctors split and their stuff had not been coded-- so we are weeding through it now. My eating is fair but my exercise is not. I walk a FEW minutes on my lunch-- but it's not much.

Yesterday was my 6 months since surgery. Since I started I have lost 80. I have 5-10 more... Just gonna wait and see where my body lands and maintains without killing myself.

DH had surgery Monday.... He is having trouble moving his toes-- so we will see how it goes.

Holly, Colleen, Sunster, Aaron-- I hope you all are well!!!

Gotta run (not literally)....

08-29-2014, 09:13 PM

Dawn, NC is great but I am partial of course!

09-01-2014, 03:46 PM
My parent live in Salemsburg & my sister in Clinton. Their area is very different then what we are used to & wondering if Mooresville will be like that or more of what we are used too.

09-16-2014, 12:13 PM
Hi girls- boy didn't realize it has been quite some time since I have stopped by.

Tammy looks like you are pretty much at goal that is awesome! How is DH since surgery? Only 8 days and we will be heading to BBQ, but if I haven't said anything we have decided to stay in Branson, MO and take one day to go to Fayetteville and the rest will be riding some of the rides that we have searched online. We will be getting into Branson Wednesday afternoon, not sure what day yet that we are heading to Fayetteville but I am guessing either Thursday or Friday :) So ready for vacation

Holly I suppose you are getting ready to go back to the winter job soon-

It has been just above freezing here at night and of course its like really its only mid September to early for this crap!!

Well gotta go - take care

09-21-2014, 05:10 PM
My dr wants me to stop losing right now- just cause I am losing sooooo much hair... And now I have low blood pressure. However I am really close to goal.
I don't think we will make theBBBBQ. DH did have surgery- tomorrow is 4 weeks but he still has a heavy limp and bad swelling. The dr said it is "normal", but his physical therapist says it is not.

How is everyone else? I am pretty busy-- the new job in Memphis has me working a lot of OT the last couple weeks of month. I need to do it.... But at this age I sure don't like it!!!!

09-21-2014, 09:12 PM
OH shoot Tammy was hoping to get to meet up but I totally understand- So who do you believe DR or PT especially after 4 weeks?

I wish I could be getting some OT it sure would help the pocket book :) oh well, not complaining one bit as I am loving my job and not having my phone ring all the time! We start shooting darts on the 29th I wish it didn't start for a couple more weeks especially since this weekend was last weekend for races and if sure would have been nice to have a weekend to just sit home and do nothing... but again shouldn't complain as this coming weekend we will be in MO-AR for the bike rally :)

Well I suppose I will check back in later-

Hello Holly, Colleen and Dawn

09-24-2014, 10:49 PM
Hi guys. I've been locked out of here for months! I never did get back on with 2times2much. I had to reregister!! Even a request for help got me nowhere. So anyway, here I am. The summer started with lots of cycle riding! About 8000 miles. For anyone not knowing me--that is motorcycle riding!

I miss the conversations on 3FC. I have been HORRIBLE with my eating! I did so well back in the day... maybe with this new account, I should start a new everything else too!

Not that this should make ANY difference, but it still really bugs me when I had been doing so well, and had slipped up one day, posting my cookie struggle on a different posting to have someone tell me to "get over it!" It was terrible. Like being punished! I about lost it. It was all down hill from there.

Looks like in reviewing the posts from this summer that you have all had a very busy last few months. I have kept up with a few of you via FaceBook.

Hope to be able to join in on some of the conversations again.

09-29-2014, 09:05 PM
Colleen - so weird to see you as a Junior Member!!! sorry you lost your 2times previous status. Hey when you posted somewhere else was it this forum?? I have seen this forum change ALOT over the many years I have been here, folks are not as kind and supportive as in the past. Some folks i should add.

Hello everyone!!! sorry I have't been on, just busy with work, and only have 1 day off a week, but still love the summer job, and I have only about 3 weeks left there :( but I developed new recipes which were well received, and have spend alot of hours in the kitchen doing prep work for the chef, because no one else would, but get paid well for peeling carrots :p

Colleen 8000 miles is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

HI Reda!!! I do like seeing your stuff on FB, makes me feel like it's ok that I haven't been here on 3FC much. Colleen too!

Tammy whoa 170!! with your height that is skinny!! congrats!

and Dawn is tiny with her 120's!! :D

I have gained, and I have worked out 'maybe' ONCE a week, for 4 months!! I have some strength and muscle tone but nothing near what I used to have. but good new, Hubster is on board with a no carb or low carb eating so I have to try hard to do the same, hard with the pastry baking job but I've done it before. Just sux to keep repeating the cycle, doesn't it.

We had a hard frost, 27 degrees one night, but since then awesome Indian summer weather! So still riding to work as much as i can.

I will try to keep in touch better!! I usually visit alot more when I'm trying to be on the straight and narrow.

10-05-2014, 12:26 PM
Hi Girls

Sorry I tend to not be on much either lately, same boat here but no exercise, no food control, just totally off the wagon :( !!!!!
Need to get butt in gear as I will be in a bathing suit end of January and need to get a few pounds shed before then. I do believe I am going to start the low carb thing as well, but it is so hard, but gotta do something and quick.

Holly glad to hear DH is on board with you, that helps a lot.

Colleen, I only put like 6000 miles on this year plus whatever I have rode with DH, which seems to have been quite a bit this year.

Well Karly is coming to see us today keeping her from 12-6 so better get house picked up before she gets here- Sunday Funday

10-13-2014, 09:08 PM
I suppose chips and onion dip was a poor choice for supper...made me think of 3FC though! Work has been a big stress.

Had a fun weekend of cycling, movie, casino and dinners. Next weekend is sounding like work! Leaves need cleaned up, camper needs winterized, and landscape blocks need moved off the driveway (and turned into a raised garden!).

in regard to falling off the wagon, I guess we should all hop back on for a hay ride!

10-14-2014, 07:21 AM
Hey chicks! and aaron :) jeez I bent to put my workout shoes (sneakers :D ) on yesterday and got a leg cramp  I am so out of shape!! but I hope to get back to workout out every day soon.

51 degrees here, so much better than the 29 at this time yesterday! so yeah gonna ride to work, that makes everything better :D

10-18-2014, 11:33 AM
Hi girls, just checking in, been busy around here but it is going to slow down now! Winter time is upon us here fortunately :( so that means bikes have to get put away. No real winter plans except for our trip to Cancun in January and again this year you would think that would light a fire under my butt to do something about my weight but again just no motivation!
Well off to Sioux City to do a little shopping, we have a witches walk on Halloween night so I need to find some witches stuff

Have a great weekend

10-20-2014, 10:46 AM
Reda, I have not had ANY motivation to want to do better either, all summer. However, my summer job ended yesterday, so from this point on, I am free to work out in the morning every excuses!! and usually once I start working out again, that makes me much more aware of calories, and then I might stick to some kind of diet. You have Cancun in January? I have the Harley Raffle, where I am going to be center stage, emcee-ing for a crowd of 200!! I wanna look good!! shall we commit together??

As always I am sad at the summer job being over, but I know I did well at what I do, and got heartfelt thanks from the chef ("I couldn't have done it without you, Holly" which means alot to me) And got a nice cash tip from a very nice lady member and a wonderful note from her! nice!!

Just finished doing Jillian Michael's Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, almost50 minutes total.

I did not bring any sweet things home from the Club (it was a free-for-all of cookies, cakes, pastries, etc..all the crap I make  ) and no baking supplies..just eggs and veggies :D

It is 31 degrees outside now but sunny. Ill wait for it to warm up to today's high of 50 before I go outside to rake..but that's my only chance, cause the rest of the week is CRAP weather!!! RAIN and 40's, sheesh. BUt I should be grateful for none of the white crap, right??

We will keep our bikes outside, under the canopy, until the real, consistant cold weather comes.

have a good day!

10-26-2014, 07:01 PM
Hey Ladies!!!!

I feel like I have been gone forever.... well I kinda have. I have been reading some, but just so dang busy and I have not replied. So.... I hope to be able to be more active now.
Reda, gosh Cancun is not far away!
Holly, I cannot believe I have totally missed your summer job. And riding season.
Colleen, I hate you had to start over w the tracker. And it seems that you are our actual biker chick this year since the rest of us have not ridden too much.....

Well, there was NO riding for us b/c of DH knee. He is still having issues with it even 2 months post op. He has gone back to work part time..... but his knee is still not right. He is SOOOOO close to retirement, but I fear he will not make it. They will end up getting rid of him.
Since we have last spoken, I went to work in Memphis, TN. It was the WORST job EVER..... so I am in the process of going back to UAMS (the medical school) and It looks like I may just have a work at home job!!!! It is not uncommon for medical coders to work at home.... and I have been thinking about it. Now it appears it will be a reality. I am super excited! I drive an hour each way to work now (Memphis) and it is exciting to think of NO commute time. Especially since a week and a half ago I got hit in Memphis, of course the person did not have insurance or a DL.... and it was M-E-S-S, numerous officers were called to the scene b/c of "race" etc....... I took it as my queue to get out of Memphis.

Also, since we last spoke, I MET MY GOAL!!!!!! But, let me tell you maintenance is a butt!!!! It is hard to eat like I should when my mind says you are not on a diet. eat the _____....... go ahead..... But, I am doing my best to keep it under 165. My husband does not want me to go under 165 b/c as he puts it "he can feel my a double s bone"..... so it is a balancing act. I am hoping with the "no commute" I can have more time to exercise.

I also hope this enables me to be able to be able to ride more!

Well, that is my recap....not much else going on. Hope to hear from yall soon.

10-27-2014, 09:12 AM
Tammy, CONGRATULATIONS!!! on hitting goal!! :cheer2: :bravo::bravo::flow1::dancer::dance::cp: Oh man!! that is so great :D I will you ALL power to keep where you want to be :)

oh jeez sorry to hear about the hit with no insurance or DL even, hmm I can read between the lines , you are tactful and we don't have to say more, I can see how it motivated you even more to cut the commute. I hope the work from home deal comes true!

real sorry about DH's knee, and oh man I hope he makes his time to retirement!! is it illegal to let him go because of his knee?? I'm sure you have investigated it all but wishing him/you the best in that

and real sorry that meant you didn't ride together much this summer, you will make it up next year :)

Well I had 5 days off, and only ONE day was nice, the others were DARK, rain, chilly (low 40) ugh!! so I feel I was cheated, LOL. I worked Sat. for the Rat B*stard (except he wasn't there, that's why they needed me) and OMG is it May yet?? we got a rush of people and I am just not 'in my game' yet.

AND the piece-of-crap old guy that hugged (groped!) me last year came in!! I can't believe he still comes in that store. I went to a co-worker and actually pointed at him, telling her 'that's him!!' Right when she looked and gasped, and I was pointing at him, he turned and looked  I don't care! go to h*ll you creep.

The Rat B@stard hired back the young girl who was such a b*tch to me last year!! and would storm out, 'quit', then come back. And hired another young lady, and those 2 do NOT get along, and each one comes to me complaining of the other

HOwever today will mark ONE WEEK of being on plan for me, wow. Worked out every day except Saturday, and restricted calories and carbs. I have not gotten on the scale, I know my ticker is not right but I don't want to depress myself .

I am really astounded that even though I did not work out at all this summer, way 'maybe' once a week, now that I'm back to it, I'm not sore. Maybe I'm not working out hard enough, LOL but it is encouraging I have not lost all muscle tone.

Size wise I am somewhere between a loose and baggy 12 and a snug 10..have no jeans that I feel good in. Loose jeans make me feel sloppy and snug make me feel so pudgy.

well I have written a novel here, so I'd better get moving.
Our bikes are not put away yet!! but it probably will be soon. We need the space in our driveway.

And yeah Colleen was our poster girl for riding this year! :scooter:

11-02-2014, 08:52 PM
Hi girls-

Congrats Tammy goal is met that is so awesome :) sorry to hear about accident but sending well wishes that the work at home becomes a reality for you!!!
Ya it just didn't seem like we got much riding in this year on my bike only 4400 miles this summer but I did ride with DH more this year, he has almost 6000 miles on his bike since January when we brought it home.

We are actually putting together about a 4000 mile trip maybe over Labor Day next year, looking at going to Denver, Vegas, Phoenix, Albuqurqe, OK City or something along those lines, and of course I am torn because I would really like to take my bike but then I think it sure would be nice to just ride with DH as well, don't have to decide on any of that until it gets closer......

Holly WTG on staying on plan for your first week, I still haven't found any mojo but I am thinking I need to start getting my butt back to the gym, I am saying tomorrow but won't be tomorrow as MIL is having surgery so will be out of town all day tomorrow.

Well going to watch Skyscraper so I will check back in later

11-13-2014, 08:26 AM
Hey chicks! Wow Reda that upcoming trip sounds EPIC!! and I hear ya how you would want to ride your own, yet we do know how wonderfully carefree being a passenger is, to just sit back and enjoy the ride. Like you said, you have almost a year to decide :)

I got to ride to work on TUesday, it was sunny and 55 and awesome!! and riding home in the pitch blackness was a little challenging (what the heck is it aboug getting older and not being able to see as well at night :o ) but the last 5 miles were so nice, on the new pavement with the fresh reflective paint and the stars above.

However that flippin Polar Vortex is on it's way to the East, I am so sorry Reda if you are buried in sn*w and icy cold!

I fell off my diet ALREADY  all I can do is try each day to make better choices and not give in to my cravings. I have been working out almost every day, back to good old Gilad (20 year old VHS tapes!!) but at least I do it and it makes me sweat.

have a good day!!

11-16-2014, 02:09 PM
Hey ladies and one gent....
Quick hello. Before I am on the road again. I am back at my old "state" job.... but it is at the main campus so I am having to travel to Little Rock and stay the week. This should be my last week and then I will be WORKING FROM HOME!!!!! It is just in time too..... b/c the "polar vortex" has gotten to us as well. We normally don't get a snow dusting until Late Dec or early January..... but last week we got one in NOVEMBER..... that is a bad sign for us.

Holly, you are right.... we are never gonna be perfect in dieting..... but all we can do is make better choices and start over each day. Progress not perfection is what I try to keep in mind.

Reda, maybe next year we will get in the riding groove again and get some riding done-- like we used to.

I feel like a weight has been lifted with getting this job and not having to go to Memphis and being able to work at home! Feeling pretty blessed!

Well, I hate to sound so self absorbed and drop a few lines and run, but I need to load the car and get ready to head out.

Hi girls,

Tammy glad to hear that the job is working in hour favor, and a state job means you get all the state benefits with health and retirement? Now at our age we do need to be thinking of retirement because as far away as it seems it is going to be here in no time :)

Holly sounds great that got to ride that sure isn't happening around here, yep snow and ice has set in :(

Well I do believe it is nap time, I will check back in later

Happy Thanksgiving chicks! we got DUMPED on by snow last night, almost a foot!! ugh!! Last year we took a ride to town on T'giving Day, um that is not happening today

We are going to our son's fiance's grandmother's house today, not that far away, about 40 miles/one hour. I have met this lady before, she is very nice and friendly, compared to the fiance's mother who I think is on the strange side

We went to our future in laws for T-day yesterday, and it was a nice visit at the time, but now I am SO sad that our son is more their son now!! :( Well he and the fiance (we do like here very much) live in an apartment off her parent's house, and he goes to college nearby, but for every other minute he is there, with them, and involved with their family, and it's just that they never knew him as the sullen awful teenager we had :rotfl: and they have a nice house, and a well-off grandma that they have dinner with TWO times a week, and we see them only when I call and press them :(

I am so happy that he is now a responsible wonderful young man but its like he's their son now and WE are the outsiders :( You can say that material things are not what count and that he is a good enough person to know that but he sure doesn't show it, by not visitng us hardly ever. And they live less than an hour away. I am sad enough to bawl about this and I don't want to.

Oh and a foot of snow now!!! ths is our picnic bench

Greetings! Awesome that there is a bike forum here.
I ride a Yamaha FZ-09 and a Harley XL1200L. Nice to see so many of you here.

Both of my parents are 100+ lbs overweight with Type II Diabetes and I was huge as a kid, so its a lifelong diet/way of life over here.

Welcome Jen! We have been here for awhile through the ups and downs of life, weight loss, and riding. We have not been as active as we once were.... but hopefully that will change.

Holly, I am sooooo sorry..... and I know EXACTLY what you are going through. My DS2 took up with the neighbors at our former house.... and it is like he is their son.... cause they are the cool care free people who never raised their own kids b/c they gave them up or lost custody. It was ME who birthed him and made him the person he is.... but he considers them as his family. I am sorry you are going through this also. But at one point, he will have to remember who his REAL family is. I am sorry about the snow..... we cannot get the stupid weather regulated here. It has snowed already normally its not until late Dec. early Jan..... today it is SUPER windy and 68.... but tomorrows high is 39. Grrrrrr!

So, the job is AMAZING.... I cannot tell you how the weight of the world has been lifted off of me. I work when I want as long as I get my hours in. It is just amazing.... and I do get all of the state benefits... retirement, ins. etc.

DH goes to the doctor tomorrow..... we don't know what his career will end up like b/c his knee is still not right...... so please send thoughts and prayers. I will try to log on tomorrow to let you know.

Well, I did not gain through Thanksgiving. I had a minimal gain from my lowest point yesterday though.... so the left over dessert has to go!!!!!

I hope everyone else is doing good. Have a great day!

Hi girls,

You know Holly and Tammy I think we have a lot more in common than just bikes and weight :) we all have boys that just want to cause us heartache whether they know it or not, I just keep reminding myself that he will come around once he gets older and starts having his own family and see's and learns what family is really all about.....

Well girls last Monday I started going back to the gym but of course didn't go Thursday and also didn't get to go this weekend either :( but I am totally going again tomorrow 6am sharp!!! Haven't lost anything but I do feel much better

I hear ya about the weather we were 73 degrees yesterday and today high 23 degrees- crazy weather and didn't even get to take the bike out :(

Well I suppose I should get off here and get ready for bed- have a great week

Hi Chicks!! I hope you gals are doing better then me. I feel real bad about my self, and hope to get in shape and slim down. I am back on a diet, I have let my self gain all the weight I lost come back. I cut out all the junk food today, and will start exercising tomorrow. I am going to try to exercise 1 hour every day. I have a elliptical machine and a exercise bike. I will walk as much as the cold weather will let me. I want to lose 50 lbs by April 1st. I know this will be hard, but I need to do it. I am starting at 270 and want to be at 220 or less by April. Thank you for being here for me.

Hello Beautiful People and WOWSAH to Tammy for meetiing goal weight and beyond!!
After losing the weight, the wagon ran me over again...I fell off and got caught in the spokes (it's obviously an old wagon). Two food. Crimenee...will I ever learn?? I'm doing alternate IP again to lose some before my bday, 5wks away. I'm riding Frank cross country in May and want to be ready with this dingdang weight issue behind me, if that's possible.
Well, it's nice to come back here and see y'all again....thanks for being here!

12-16-2014, 10:31 PM
OHMIGOSH have you seen this!!!

12-18-2014, 09:18 AM
Hi Sunster!! nice to see you! it is so great to hear of someone who is riding all year, you are a smart chick :D

Hi Aaron! i see you figured out your ticker. OMG at SOA ending..had me reflecting for days later!

Hey Reda :) and Tammy :)

I have been working out at least 5 x a week, but as usual eating is way over calories, sigh. Well I don't eat as much as I want, so that's a plus, lol.

I have a pair of boots coming in the mail, regular tall boots, they are wide calf and the reviews sounded great from other wide calf chicks, I hope they fit!!

Finally got a tree up, it is artificial but pretty. Just don't have much space in this little living room, and even less since I got a beautiful wooden antique chest in here that can't go anywhere else.

Today is the second of my 2 days off; yesterday I cleaned and did laundry so today I can play :) I get prettied up and deliver Christmas cookies to my hair salon, mechanic, bank, etc and to summer work people .

My husband had a motorcycle related dream last night, we miss them so much!

have a good day!

Hi Girls & Aaron

Is everyone ready for Christmas? I do believe I am good to go, well my sister and I go black Friday shopping (well actually we start about 4pm Thanksgiving) anyways this year I wanted to get the 50" tv that Walmart had for $218 for my DS2 as he only has a 32" right now, so anyways then I decided well we only have a 47" and for $200 bucks went ahead and got one for us as well, but it had a 1 hour guarantee which meant I didn't have to wait in line I just had to get a ticket within that hour, so I did got the email yesterday that they were in so today I went out to pick them up and we got LG 55" LED HDTV's, I advised that I was only suppose to get 50" they said these are what came in the place of the 50, they had to substitute because we were guaranteed to have by Christmas, boy what a deal because this TV is selling for $697 right now in the store still. So I was glad that it wasn't something that I thought I needed to have that night because they did have 75 TV's in store that night the others got to walk away with but I just wanted my son's by Christmas and mine whenever was fine.

Karly is 2.5 and she is at the great fun age of opening presents and gets so excited it is so fun again :)

Well I have been doing very well at going to the gym usually going at least 5 to 6 times a week! Still do not have my eating under control as far as portions, I do really good for lunch but supper when I am cooking for DH, well I just loose control :(

Well I suppose I should get off here, in case I do not log in before Christmas
Have A Merry Christmas!!!!

12-22-2014, 08:40 AM
HI chicks and Aaron! I just realized that our title is still 2013 , lol. I guess for the New Year we will start a new thread, because this one is at about 450 and they end at 500.

Reda, I'm glad you are just about ready for Christmas! and so fun to have a little one at that age :D to see her excitement. Yay to you for going to the gym consistently!!! I am with you though at losing it in the food department, we are just doing our best.

Hi Tammy!! it is so kewl that you are so skinny now :D OK not skinny, I mean slim and that is so great. And I don't remember if I commented on your thoughts you told me, of your heartaches with your son, Yes we mothers have it hard when it comes to dealing with sons and girlfriends and such. Our younger son will spend 5 hours with us on Christmas eve this year, I guess I will be thankful for that and not be mopey..well I am being mopey now but I will not show it to them.

Hey Sunster!!! it is so great that one of us bike crazy people can ride all year. Say Hi to Frank for us :D

It is already started getting crazy at work with so many people in town, usually they don't start arrivng til after Christmas. Yesterday we did $800 business in the last hour of the day, that is alot for a small convenience/deli store that does not sell gas :D just expensive food

I am putting together cookie plates for a few co-workers, but not for one guy, he and I have worked there for almost 10 years and every year I give him cookies, and he never gives me anything, he is off the list  but I wll be at least a little considerate and bring them in on a day he is not there.

12-26-2014, 12:37 AM
:clause: Merry Christmas!!!

Well still going to gym but they were closed yesterday and today but I will be back there tomorrow :) DH got me and Extreme XFit, I didn't want an expensive until I knew I would wear it and use it. So I wasn't sure what to get him that would be a surprise so I got concert tickets to Little Big Town, DH and I have only went to 2 concerts our 29 years together and he is a country fan, me not so much but they do have a few songs that I do like.
Karly had such a great time opening up all her presents today, and the boys got along for the most part only had to tell them once to stop because I knew right where it was heading and it surely would have ruined the whole day....

Holly that is good $'s in an hour for being a basic convenience store with no gas. Cookies sound good but I did for the most part today stay away from candy and junk, and really tried to watch portions but I still know I did over do it :(

Well off to bed it has been a long day but nice day. Have a Great Weekend

Hey I started a new thread for us :)
